By the time Kahli was a teen Esperanza had met a stallion, became the lead mare of the Cimarron Herd and had a foal. Kiama then became great friends with Spirit. When Spirit got captured by Calvary, Kahli’s sister Kiama went looking for him and left Kahli alone at in the herd. Soon after she met another stallion two years older than her named Racer.
