She was born in Norway, however she was not born in the wild. Her owner was intrested in obtaining more prizes in the infamous wild west. He moved there, and unlike most people he was actually friendly towards the indians. He didn't mind chatting with them, sadly this is how the Calvary men took notice of him, and they concidered him a threat. They "arrested" him and took Divya with him.

The owner of Divya noticed how beautiful Spirit was and asked the Colonel if they could breed Divya (since she was in heat) with Spirit, the Colonel, already thinking that Spirit was his possesion, agreed to do so. 

After Spirit escaped, Divya and her owner were released, they made their home with the Lakota tribe. Sadly despite being heavy with Spirit's foal, she never saw him again. 

After her son matured and grew into a adult, she met a young orphan foal. She decided to raise him, and name him Hildago.
