History:
NightEagle was born under the wild skies in the Cimarron herd, her father and mother, Spirit and Rain, were leaders of the herd and they both adored her since she was born. NightEagle was the first foal of her parents and she tried in everyway to be as strong and as fast as her father and as kind and gentle hearted as her mother. She had a good up bringing and even gotten into a few fights with some cougars.
At the age of three, her real adventure began. One night while she was strolling around the herd to make sure every horse was safe and sound a strange scent caught her attention, a group of horses, her sense of smell told her. She looked around and saw her mother and father were busy dealing with a couple of horses in the herd already, not wanting to bother them, she went off to investigate these horses by herself. She soon learned this was a huge mistake. As her hearing and the scent lead her to were the horses were she soon smelt more creatures that were not familiar with her, but continued on anyway. Soon she came to a small clearing, quite a way off from where the herd was, where she found these horses tied to low branches on a tree. The horses easily startled and neighed only to quite down when they saw it was a pretty mare. However, they immediately started to behave strangely trying to persuade her to go. NightEagle immediately found out why when she felt a rope go around her neck. Only to have a few more. She fought, but to no avail. Humans have captured her and tore her away from her life of freedom in the Cimarron herd.
The group of humans lead her to a calvary base far into the desert. Where she had her beautiful mane and tail chopped off, iron shoes fitted on her hooves,a stinging painful brand and tack forced onto her only to have to fight humans off her back one by one. However days and weeks went by and her spirit and body were becoming weary until she finally gave up. NightEagle stood as a calvary horse for a few months were humans freely got onto her back all day when she was needed as a mount, but until then she was locked in the stalls with the other horses or tied to a post.
Until one day, almost a year later, a group of gutsy Indians bust into the base to save an Indian who the calvary had captured a short while ago. NightEagle, who was loosely tied to a post, was untied and mounted by one of the Indians as a getaway horse along with a few other horses. After a risky escape she was freed from the calvary and was now a tribal horse. Where a young warrior, named Little Creek, was one of her riders around the tribe. During her time as an Indian horse she fell in love with one of the best horses in the herd, a muscular blue roan stallion named Blue Moon. Little Creek, recognizing her longing for her freedom freed her back into the wild with her mate, Blue Moon.
Upon finally returning home, her parents and herd welcoming her back along with her mate, discovered her mother was heavily pregnant again. After a few weeks at home, her mother gave birth to two boys, a buckskin, who looked exactly like her father, and an all black colt, who looked like Strider. Spirit and Rain named them Spir and Strid. NightEagle and Blue Moon both helped raise the two colts with her parents. As Spir grew into a stallion he fell in love with a desert mare named Dust Cloud and left to start a herd with her. Stride was captured by ranchers before Rain had her last foal.
NightEagle and Blue Moon, soon after Splash tradjectly disappeared one day, had a beautiful filly, a blue roan with a star on her forehead, which they named Starlight. NightEagle and Blue Moon help lead the herd more and more as Spirit and Rain grow older, and happily raising the herd and Starlight.
