History

As a foal:

Moon was found as a foal by a young Indian girl called Kiata. Moon’s parents were nowhere to be seen so Kiata took Moon in. At first the Indians were unsure about taking in Moon, as they thought she must be a bad omen because she was abandoned. But Kiata had formed a special bond with the foal, and after a little convincing, the tribe accepted Moon into their village.

As a teen:

Moon had started to be ridden by Kiata and the two reckless teens roamed the valley together. By now Moon had become a favourite mare in the village and everyone was waiting for her to find a mate to breed with. However, for Moon she was just beginning to have fun. She didn’t want to settle down and start a family yet, she wanted to just be free and explore the world with Kiata. One day Moon and Kiata travelled out of the valley and found another Indian Village. In the village Kiata met a handsome young prince. He was destined to become chief of the tribe and was looking for a wife. Kiata became close friends with the prince and often rode Moon there to visit him.

As an Adult:

Moon was still part of the Anasazi Tribe with her rider Kiata. Moon had gone out on her own one day, and had come across a rogue stallion. He bred with her before taking off into the mountains. Moon returned home and for around 11 months Moon lived her normal life. One night Moon gave birth to a little colt. When Kiata found moon the next morning she was shocked, but happy. Kiata had fallen in love with the prince of another tribe, and was soon to be married, but the other tribes laws said that a mare that did not have a mate, but had a foal, was not allowed in the village. They were said to be impure, and Kiata was told that she could not take Moon with her. Kiata didn’t want to leave Moon with her home tribe, so she set Moon and her foal free. It took Moon a while to adjust to being wild but soon she loved it. She still sneaks into the village to see Kiata, but always returns to her wild life.
