History

Helms Deep was born and Raised in Mirkwood under the care of the woodland folk. however he was given as a gift to King Theoden's Ward Edowen as a pre-wedding present as she was to marry The kings son Theodred. Edowen was a young Battle Maiden of Rohan and though she did not fight she still needed a horse that could see her off to the feild and carry her back safely when the battle started from one wounded soldier to another. Helms Deep had strong legs and large lungs, he could run to and frow through a battle while evaiding attacks so that his rider may not get hurt. He was a great horse for Edowen and loved her as an owner. He was there for her through the death of her Faince Theodred and her new marrige to Eomir the Kings Nefew. He has had a miger role in his lands to most horses and men. But to Edowen he is a life saver.
