Personality Characteristics

Personality: Beast is a friendly horse and loves to make new friends. Whenever he meets a new horse, he will be welcoming. But when he is aggravated, the fury inside of him is ‘unleashed’ and he is almost unbeatable in a fight thus earning him his name. He might not always win the fight, but he will always walk away relatively unharmed. Jealousy is only a recent trait that he developed since pairing with Quilla.

Likes: Friendly horses, strangers, new things, Gash, Quilla, new herds, different scenery

Dislikes: Horses that are consistently rude, anyone who flirts with Quilla, Spine (a coming horse)

History:

Beast lived an ordinary life as a foal and was fairly happy to leave the herd when his time came. He was excited to create his own adventures in life and wasn’t disappointed. At first he travelled as far as he pleased, meeting strangers every now and then. Until he met a friendly stallion by the name of Gash. He and Gash quickly became best friends and travelled together for a year. But their hearts tore different ways and they parted; Gash to test the humans and Beast to explore new lands.

Beast took an interest in herds that he passed  and, at times, get into fights with the stallions. If he won, he wouldn’t take the mares, however – that life wasn’t for Beast.

Then came the time when Beast crossed a herd led by a fierce (but not unkind) chestnut stallion. Beast had heard of this horse and thought it best to avoid a fight, but his young brindle daughter entranced him. He couldn’y stay away from her and the two met often, despite the stallions obvious displeasure. Quilla (the daughter) wanted to leave with Beast and her father became aware of this. He could have refused and kept her, but the old stallion knew that if he did so, she would leave without his consent and would never see her again. At least this way there was still a chance.

So the two left on good terms with the No-Name and left to live their lives.

They were happy together for only a short time, however. Beast and Quilla were travelling through new forests when they heard (or rather sensed) some kind of commotion. They went to inspect and found a man and his horse  gathering up a herd. They were in a far corner of the west and didn’t expect any humans. The two turned to flee but froze when strange looking horses burst out from the trees. They wore different kinds of decorations and astride them rode Indians. This tribe was not like the others. They were feral and they as well as their horses, wore bones and such. Quilla and Beast did not see what happened to the pale humans. A black brindle wearing a scull (Spine)  spotted them and his human roped Quilla. She fought and kicked and bucked, but eventually the terrifying horse cut her off.  

Beast tried to fight him off but the pale human was upon them and he was forced to flee.

Beast was determined to find his mate again, and the next new months would test his limits.

Why his name? As mentioned above, he becomes a fierce fighter when angry. Beast litteraly becomes as beast during a fight, very similar to a rabid dog. Majority of the time, he will walk away from a fight without a scratch, even if he didn't win.

His basis for creation? I have decided to try to give my characters more meaning, and link one to the other, to the other, to the other and so forth. Beast will become part of this web.

Can i create ___ for him? NO. I hope you read this, because i will not accept anyone's 'offers'. Once i finish up his bio, he will be a complete character and will not need family, or friends, or extra mares.

Relation to SSOTC: He became friends with Spirit's great grandson and met a stallion that fought Strider (will be explained in another bio). A stronger relation IS COMING once i finish his history.
