Stats

Name: Sinclaire

Age: Depends. He's slightly younger than Spirit.

Coat: Sinclaire has a dark blue, nearly black coat with a brighter blue, almost white, patch that reaches from shoulder to shoulder, stretching across his chest, resembling shoulder pads or armor. On his front, left ankle he has a pastern, and on two stockings on both his back legs; All leg markings match the chest marking in color. His knees and waist also have a white-esque marking.

Breed: I don't know.

Likes: Sinclaire likes mares and anything new. This includes places, persons, and situations. He was known for his thorough investigations of everything that happend to climb, swim, hop, or walk across his path. This is how he first discovered humans! Sinclaire loves the feeling that you've discovered something first, not for prideful endevors, but for the slap on the back feeling that makes you all warm and squishy inside.

Dislikes: Being bored mainly. Sinclaire started becoming bored of the grass and mountains of the Homeland when he was only a few months old. He doesn't dislike much, but repitious things, places, or circumstances bore him greatly, and get on his nerves easily. One of the first things that made Sinclaire flip out was when a fellow foal was calling for his mother again and again, without end or possible victory. Sinclaire ended up pushing the foal down a hill to get him to shut up. As a punishment he was forced to climb down the ravine and rescue the foal. Well, Sinclaire had never sauntered down a cliff-side before, so lesson not learned.

Character: Sinclaire, due to his family genetic pool, has a strict sense of family pride which is why him and his family left the Cimarron generations back. With this pride comes a deep-set conviction for truth and honor; when Spirit took over the Cimarron upon his noble return, Sinclaire volunteered himself, not only to negotiate between his rival stallion for permission to remain peaceably on the land, but volunteered to quit his travels altogether when, upon the looming death of his sickened mother, his herd would have to join again with the Cimarron due to lack of leadership.

Sinclaire also has a quick, wily sense of humor, and is able to woo even the most strict mares. Despite his slight reputation as a "mare's stallion", Sinclaire even got bored of mating constantly, a habit that he acquired from his uncle. His short term relationships with the mares are really no indication of Sinclaire's heart. He has the biggest, most open heart that you will ever find, and loves meeting new horses more than anything. This is why he took in I'Frome, a small, weak foal who had lost his way. Ever faithful to his little brother, upon arriving back home I'Frome was always the one that Sinclaire called, openly sharing his adventures and discoveries with the yearling.

Always keeping his wits about him, Sinclaire's got a calm disposition and temper, a trait that leveled out rapidly as he grew older. The result: He's smart and quick while remaining calm and collected.

Relationships

Family: Sinclaire's immediate family consists of his mother Fionna, Lady_Aniu, not yet created, and his father Strider, Spirit's father. Sinclaire's close to his mother, who happily welcomed him back to their small family herd after he left to traverse the world. Sinclaire never had a real relationship with his father unless the stallion came for the express purpose to lecture Sinclaire about the most recent trouble that he got himself into.

Siblings: I'Frome (E-from) is Sinclaire's unofficially adopted little brother. Other than I'Frome, Sinclaire has no other siblings.

Foals: Very likely conserning how many mares he's mated, there's only a handful of them. If he does have any offspring, Sinclaire certainly doesn't know about them. Open for children if you're interested.

Mate: Sinclaire's heart lies with a mysterious palomino mare named Hazel. Very little, if anything, is known about her, but she's Sinclaire's dream mate; his one, true love.

Crush: Sinclaire's never had an actual crush on any mare. Open for breeding.

Relationships: Sinclaire's mated with several different mares, but he never truly loved any of them. Sinclaire has a pretty good relationship with his uncle, who still remains unnamed since I haven't created him yet, despite the stallion's well known rebelious character. Sinclaire has also had very friendly relations with his cousin, a beautiful, young mare who shares his open heart and is willing to risk anything if the outcome is worth it.

Herd: Sinclaire, for the first year of his life, lived in a small family herd that happily shared the land with the Cimarron, though they prefer to be separate from the Homeland's main populus. This herd consists of Sinclaire's most immediate family, like his mother, though his father, the actual leader of the herd, chose to stay with his Cimarron while Fionna remains in charge. Sinclaire's uncle is an outsider to the family since his lifestyle is too unorthodox for the rest of the horses to handle.

Owner: While Sinclaire was journeying the Homeland's outer limits, he was captured, repeatedly tamed, and owned by a dozen different humans, but whenever he got bored with the person or location he would escape and move on after a couple of days. (Every time that he was captured or tamed, Sinclaire would act like it was his first time as he tested the humans' limits and abilities) The longest he ever stayed in one location with one owner was when he was taken to the "big city". He remained there for four months investigating the sights, sounds, and smells, and grow rather attached to his humans there. That's one the few places that Sinclaire was rumored to return to on a regular basis.

History: Sinclaire, due to his natural, and intense, curiosity was constantly getting into danger with predators, porquipines-- sometimes he'd just get stuck-- all earned him significant trouble as a foal for his poor mother. Every day he would wander father and farther away from his small family herd, and disappear for longer and longer each time. But he always returned, eventually. This endless cycle of leaving wasn't broken until Sinclaire was an adult.

When Sinclaire was still a yearling his uncle, a solitary, rebelious stallion that wasn't liked among the family, showed up unexpectedly. In awe of the strong, unorthodox being, and curious about life on the other side, Sinclaire joined up with the horse for a year or so. Sinclaire's uncle enstilled in his nephew his love for mares and the thrill of risky behavior. This behavior included sneaking around the Calvary base, easily exposing yourself, or purposefully trespassing onto another herd's land just to judge their reaction.

The idea of judging the response of creatures came in full swing when Sinclaire, abandoned by his uncle, was captured by  humans the first time. Instead of fighting in an attempt to get away, Sinclaire fought to test these two-leggers and their endurance. When they were near their limit, Sinclaire, who was always the investigator, gave up and was easily taken to the humans' home where he was tamed by their best rider, only because the other people weren't worthy in stamina to accomplish the daunting task.

When he learned most of what he could about the place and beings, he escaped in a largely creative way, taking a young foal named I'Frome with him. Unable to find his uncle, and not able to face his family-- due to that inherent pride-- if he could even find them, Sinclaire's travels began after dumping I'Frome in the Homeland to live. He would explore the surrounding cities and landscapes for the next few years, returning every several months or so to the Homeland and his family as he made sure that I'Frome was settling in well enough.

Unknown to Sinclaire, I'Frome, who was the polar opposite of Sinclaire, missed the human family life terribly. During the beginning of winter Sinclaire returned home to be told by his cousin that I'Frome had left late at night. Immediately starting to search for the yearling, Sinclaire reluctantly allowed his cousin to come with him to help, unaware that he would lead her to her death.

The two of them searched everywhere, in every town, hill, and valley that Sinclaire knew existed, but didn't find I'Frome. While trecking across an exceptionally icy and steep mountainside, Sinclaire's cousin slipped and fell, knocking both of them down the slope. By the time that Sinclaire awoke from his injury, a heavy snow had covered his cousin's frozen, bleeding, and dead body. Deducing that she had been shot and killed by some nearby humans because of her plainly broken leg, Sinclaire marked the spot where her body was in his mind and vowed to return in the spring to take her home.

That wouldn't happen, however, as Sinclaire, who was injured from the fall as well, was captured and taken to a large city that he had never been to before. The new city was very different from the largest town that he had ever stayed at, and the smokey streets and dirty air scared him. His wounds were never treated properly, resulting in a weak back leg that he favored until he died. In the city Sinclaire was sold and worked strenuously until he could finally escape the next fall with the help of the mysterious palomino mare named Hazel whom he had fallen deeply in love with.

Having completely forgotten about I'Frome, Sinclaire made his way home, more tamed than he had ever thought possible. Barely surviving the winter in his raw condition, he was welcomed back to his family with happiness. He never elaborated upon what happened to his young, beautiful cousin nor did he voluntarily remark on the mare that helped him escape his captivity.

Sinclaire died at a good, old age, and was the most loyal Lead Stallion that his family herd had ever known. (If you read his entire profile and like it, then comment saying "I heart heart your character!")

~~~~~~~
Relation to Spirit: Spirit's father Strider is Sinclaire's father, making Spirit Sinclaire's half-brother and Esperanza his won-aunt*.
(Won-aunt: my own term for a father's second mate.)
