Personality: If ever there were a horse who could prove that even the tamest animal is wild at heart, Mesteno is that stallion. He's crafty, and he will rob you blind without you ever even knowing that he was there. Well, aside from the fact that if your mares are turning up missing, it's most likely his doing. He's posessive over everything he has, and obsessed with building up his own herd. He knows that mares can't ignore his looks, and uses it to his advantage. He keeps himself impeccably well-groomed for the ladies he's trying to woo, and becomes very upset when one tiny little problem appears. Mesteno is not afraid to fight, and gladly welcomes the opportunities in which he gets to prove to his mares how strong he is. He comes off as distant at a first glance, but once you get to know him, he can be quite friendly, and even affectionate to his mares. As long as they seem to feel the same way. Creatures who refuse to comply with the stallion's wishes often find themselves face to face with a different horse, who throws horrible fits and resorts to assaulting the offending subject. Mesteno is self-centered and very manipulative in the plans he creates.

History: Mesteno was bred and raised in Mexico by European colonists who wanted to tame the land around them. They found out by mistake that Mesteno could run faster for longer periods of time than any horse they had ever seen. Impressed with what they saw, they shipped the scruffy mustang colt back to England to race against their top Thoroughbred racers. Mesteno crushed them in most races, but lost his last few before being shipped to the US with the intention of selling him to the cavalry.

As he was forcibly dragged along beside the colonists, Mesteno started thinking. He'd seen wild mustang stallions while on his journey to join the cavalry. Lead stallions had all the mares they could ever want, and as much land as they pleased. He decided that he needed to be one of those stallions. After his owners had gone to sleep in their camp, Mesteno managed to break his halter and free himself, choosing to make a break for the high country where no man dared wander.He frequents the area around the land on the Mexican ranch where he was born, dropping in every so often to take a few mares.
