He, Night Phoenix, Tamian and Andrius had same father but different mothers - Andrius's mother was Selena (deceased), Tamian's mother was Rashida and Monsooon and Night Phoenix share mother Tanya. When Monsoon's born he didn't know anything about his half-brother Andrius cause he ran away long time ago. He found his role-model in Tamian, his half-brother. Even if Tamian was next in line to be lead stallion since Andrius left Alpachy decided to make Monsoon next leader. But Tamian didn't like it and when he find out that Tanya gave birth to another foal he decided to leave but Monsoon didn't want him to leave so he secretly went with him. They decided to find Andrius to ask him for help. But in their quest Monsoon got lost and he found himself in Cimarron Herd. He met Spirit's daughter Dawn and after some months he made Dawn leave her father's herd. He promised her to be part of his herd but not everything was like Dawn expected.
