Miyuki knew never to go too far from the village but it made her wonder what was beyond the village. When she became a yearling she would travel further from her village, she saw all kinds of things that she had never seen before, including wild horses. She wondered why she had to stay with the village but the other horse got to live wild and free. So once she got the chance she ran away hoping to find the wild horses. After days of traveling she crossed paths with Rikku ad Vanity, she was so excited to see wild horses. Her and Vanity became instant friends, Rikku was just happy that there was somone to keep Vanity from bugging her all the time so she allowed Miyuki to travel with them.
