Story: Storm and his younger brother Spirit and sister Joy were born in the Cimarron herd, to Esperanza and Strider. He got separated from his familyr as a young colt, when he was exploring the lands on his own and wandered too far off, and then a group of soldiers spotted him. He ran away, but they chased after him, and caught him. Esperanza heard her son's cries for help, but she got there too late, only to see him being taken away by the soldiers. Storm kept calling for his mother, until they were too far for her to hear him anymore, and so, he was taken to the calvary and raised there, to become a war horse. Many nights Storm waited for his family to come get him home, but no one ever came. He waited, and waited, and now almost a year had passed, and no one had still come look for him. So, now that he was already an adult, Storm finally gave up all hope, and moved on in his life. He never liked being in the army, and his heart always belonged with the herd, and his mother and brother. Another year had passed, and then, one day, something happened. Something that Storm definetly did not see coming. The soldiers brought a new wild horse they had captured to the calvary, but when Storm discovered who he was, he couldn't believe his eyes. It was Spirit. And when Spirit regognized Storm, the two had a strongly emotional reunion, and Storm was outraged that they didn't come looking for him, then Spirit explained that they had thought the soldiers killed him. They soon worked everything out, and then, when the colonel was trying to tame Spirit, the two brothers made a run for it, and fled the calvary. After escaping, Storm and Spirit ran into Little Creek and the Lakota tribe. There Storm met a beautiful mare called Willow, and fell in love with her. The two spent a lot of time together, and the more he was with Willow, the more sure he grew of the feeling this would be the place where he belonged, with the mare he loved. So when Spirit and Rain returned to the Cimarron herd, Storm stayed in the Lakota village with Willow.
