History
Amarog was grew up living with his mother and no one else, not a herd, not even a father. His father and his mother had been separated by a huge forest fire the day before Amarog was born. His mother was an Italian Trotter and he didn't know what his father was.
As Amarog grew older his mother taught him how to treat other horses, how to fight off a big cat, and how to be a leader. Since Amarog's father had once been a herd leader, she had felt her son would become one someday too. Amarog just being with his mother, but winter was coming and the two were getting thin. Amarog wouldn't make it if he had no fat for winter.
Winter came, and had no mercy. Weak and cold the two wandered through the forest, Amarog started to fall through snow. A sign that it was going to be a snow filled winter, less chance of survival. Amarog's mother snorted and gave her son a lick. They came a cross a rough tree, Amarog and his mother took this chance and ate as much bark as they could before their stomch refused to take anymore of the foul stuff. They kept walking. Amarog's mother had not started to limp and they two has slowed down a lot so she could travel painlessly.
After days they reched another forest, this one was more alive and had a small patch of grass. The two relieved and chomped the grass slowly. Not wanting it to diapere too quickly. But soon enough it did so they moved on.
Amarog weakly walked along side his mother. He was wheezing hard out and he felt like he was going to faint. They stumbled through the damp forest, praying that the snow would catch them in here. But as walked, Amarog's mother stepped into a trade, it clenched to her ankle making her neigh in pain. she tried to pulled her leg out but it was impossible to get away from the jaws of the trap. She also tried to walk away but it was secured to a tree. She started to panick. How could she keep her son feed and safe if she was trapped here!? She thought quickly, she rememberd they were near Lakota camp. She told her son to go to them, they will raise you and help you! Amarog thought that the Lakota's were a herd...
Amarog licked his mother goodbye and walked off towards Lakota camp. Didn't start running untill his mother was no longer in sight. He ran and ran untill his legs hurt so bad that he fell over, head over heels. He shook himself and stood up, not till only then did he notice that there were tents right in front of him, he Whinnied and ran back into the trees. A man looked up, shruged and went back to what he was doing. I thought i was going to a Herd! How could mother send me here?! Amarog grumbled. Just as he was about to walk off her glimpsed a horse! She was walking his way too. Young foal! Come out please, She called. Amarog meekly walked out of the shadows of the trees. She asked him what he was doing her alone. He told her everything. The horses eyes softened at his story, What is your name? She asked.
Amarog, eh whats yours? He replied.
Rain.
Rain lead Amarog into the camp, lots of people came close to see the foal. But Amarog hid behind Rain. She showed him around, and taught him about the people and how they work. Amarog, how about i show you my friend, Little Creek? Amarog nodded, he was egar to meet more horses. But when Rain showed Amarog Little Creek he was disapointed. A man for a friend! But that thought changed when the man held out some hay for Amarog.
Amarog stayed with the Camp for years, he grew used to people and even started to love a few of them, like Little Creek. He loved how the people were warm and nice to horses. And Rain was like another mother to him. He meet pleanty of other horses and enjoyed the atmostphe at the camp. Little Creek often rode Amarog now, since he was big enough.
But one day Little Creek rode Amarog into the forest beside that camp, he jumped off and lay something on the snow. Amarog wondered what it was and got a little closer, Amarog bit his tounge hard, he knew very well what it was. It was the same type of trap that his mother had got caught in those years ago. And still he didn't know if she was alive or not, Amarog snorted and ran away from the man, he didn't ran for the camp, insted he ran for open lands where there was perfect green grass and long rivers and streams to live off.
He ran and ran ignoring any calls for him. Even Rain's...
