He feels that he has no bounds except to his herd, and will do anything for the good of his family. Having only ever heard stories of his down-to-earth brother, Akecheta, and the story of how he disappeared, Warrior is determined not to let anyone down.

History:

Phoenix and Sierra's second son was born after the Roan Mountain Herd was taken captive by the humans. When all of the adult horses were stuck into railcars, Warrior was mixed up among them when they were crowded onto the cars. He remained by his mother's side until they made it to the railroad camp, where he was separated from Sierra and set loose because he was too small to be of any use for the railroad. After he was reunited with the herd and they returned home, Phoenix took to teaching the colt about being a herd stallion, knowing that he was their last hope lest Akecheta return someday.

Still a few years away from total maturity, Warrior has already proven himself a competent leader, and is quite adept at keeping the herd out of danger. Having taken over the position from his aging father as lead stallion, while his father remains with the herd as a protector, he knows that their home will be threatened again eventually. He does everything in his power to make sure the herd is safe, including moving them all around the West to avoid capture rather than staying in one place.

Relation to Spirit: Was born while his dam was held captive with the rest of the herd by the same group of wranglers who'd captured Spirit. Later he and his herd are sold to the railroad workers at Iron Horse Camp and are set free by the efforts of Spirit to protect his Homeland.
