When he was older he strayed from the herd often to relax. One day while he was walking threw a feild he spotted a white mare galloping around. He was curious about her and kept watching her. Sahara was too busy playing with her human to notice Thunder at first, till her human spotted him and rode her over to catch Thunder. Thunder resisted the whole time. He reared and bucked but he was easily draged by the little mare into a small corral in an indian village. Months past and Thunder was still harsh to the villagers and other horses. But he slowly fell in love with Sahara, loning to be with her. One evening a calvary attacked the village and Thunder and Sahara were able to escape. He kept her safe till they returned to Spirit's herd.
