Others

Southern Drawl his a rich redish brown color with a light mane and tail. He has a  light cream sock on his front left leg, and a light cream pasture on his right. He has a stocking that goes just below the hock on his left hind leg. On his front legs and left hind he has cream hooves, and on his right hind he had a brown. He has a cream blaze from his muzzle, to his ears. The tip of his muzzle is a light pink.

Personality

Southern Drawl is a kind natured horse. He is strong and intelligent. He loves the humans and other horses. He is very reliable and trustworthy. You can trust him to do what's right if you don't. He is good with the mares, but never gets involed with them. He can handle an imature yearling well, and is not afraid to disaplin them. He can be mean sometimes, and you can see it when he fights. He's not afraid to let himself show. He listens to his owner, but won't listen to other stallions. He is very brave and has good potential.

Biography

Southern Drawl was born in an unknown stable. His mother never cared for him. When his mother was injured in the leg and couldn't walk, they sent her to the slauter house to be made into dog food. When Southern Drawl was not even a year old they sent him to pull heavy cart loads with an old stallion, who soon could not stand anylonger and fell to his knees in forfit. He was sent to the slauter. Southern Drawl was sent a single bucket of food each day, and sent to work all day. He did not shrivle up like the others, but grew stong and nobale. One night when he was two years old, he planned his escape. He was strong and knew he could do it. He reared and kicked at the door til' it fell. As men raced after him, he tried to break other horses out, to give them their freedom, but was unsucsessful. He ran far away from that horrible place. He raced into the country side, where a young man found him. He noticed that Southern Drawl was under fed, even though he was strong and fit. The man soothed the horse and took him to his farm. He gave him food and water, lots, but Southern Drawl bearly ate any at all. The man was confused and called a vet, who said nothing was wrong. The man put Southern Drawl to work, and soon named him. When Southern Drawl aged, the man retired the horse and turned him into a comfort horse. He would ride him threw long trails, knowing they could stay out all day, be cause his horse would never tired. His owner thought of mating his horse with the females in his stable, but decided agenst it. Southern Drawl gave him a sign that he didn't want to be mated, and he didn't. When his owner past away from a disese, his daughter got to have him. Southern Drawl was 8 when his owner past, and his daughter rode him until he was 10, then made a desition. She could not keep this horse, for he was born for freedom, she could see it in his eyes. She gave him a kiss on the pink of his muzzle, then freed him. Southern Drawl was confused. He didn't want to leave his family. The girl talked to him, telling him why she was doing it and what she was doing. When she was done, he seemed to nod at her, trotted a few lengths, and whinnied. The beautiful whinny floated threw the air, and the other horses whinnied with him. Then he galloped away, into his freedom. He found the Lakota tribe, where he stayed for a long time, thankful to have humans with him. He had a new owner, but never really owned him. When Rain left Little Creek, he found Southern Drawl. He rode him like his other owners, and hunted with him, but let him roam. Southern Drawl now lives in the Lakota Village, but roams the plains, always thinking of the kind girl who set him free.

Making of Southern Drawl

The phone rang and said Private Call, so my sister answered it, then gave it to Debbie, our fostor mom. Mark, Debbies boyfriend, said "Was it a salesperson?" My sister said "I don't know,"  Mark said. "You can tell because they have accents." I was like. "I wan't a southern accent!" He was like, "No, no," He shook his head. "You don't want a southern drawl," And bang it hit me like that. :) We had just finished watching Marmaduke, and I knew just who had that Southern Drawl, Sam Elliot!

I made him completly out of my imagination, I'm so proud of myself.
