Charlie was born in Spirit's herd but Spirit didn't like him so he tried to kill him strikeing hind chest over and over again causing him to not be able to stand his mom wacthed it all happen from a distance and then she joined in with Spirit. Charlie namd himself and cried for his mother but she kicked him as hard as she could in the ribs Spirit left a hoof mark on his eye. Charlie looked at the foal. then at Spirit in disgust. he swore he would get Spirit back one day even if it was the last thing he'd do he followed the black foal wacthing her every move but he saw she was bitter towards everything he fell in love. he didn't know why but he did.
