Bio:
The morning dew had just been set upon the grass, the dampness of the ground and air making the early morning more refreshing and nice. Desert Beauty, a retired racing mare, lay in a stall, breathing heavily and nieghing for help. There were a few men around her to help her give birth, but to the mare, they were just in the way. She wanted her mate, but he was in another state, racing to win a cup. After a half hour, the mare had finished giving birth, and her and her foal lay on the ground. Desert Beauty l sat up and reached over to her foal, licking it clean. It was a colt, a bay. The men around her decided to name the colt Sunday Silence, considering they thought the foal was more their property than hers. The mare went with it, thinking it was a nice name anyways.
The years passed and Sunday Silence grew into a racing horse. He was still with his mother and father, but he began to go out on his own. Doing bigger races, going bigger places. It was a nice change. One day, he went out to do a race out in the west. Sunday didn't know they actually held races out there, but apparently they did. All the horses were in the starting gates when someone screamed, and everyone's attention turned to where it came from. There was a horse that was running through the race; not one horse, but a whole herd. They seemed to be running from something, judging by the frantic looks on their faces. The lead stallion, a young dun stallion, passed by him and gThe horses in the starting gates were getting ancy, as if they wanted to follow, but they couldn't, because they were locked im the gates until the race started. Sunday Silence tried his best to stay calm, but he was a bit scared himself. A few of the horses that weren't racing broke free from their owners and followed the herd. Once the herd had passed by, exiting out the large entrance at the other side of the track, everything began to calm down, besides the frantic owners of the horses that got away, who were getting in their vehicles to chase their horses. Good thing they did too, because everyone at the track was about to find out what the horses were running from.
A heavy wind began to pick up and everyone turned their attention to the entrance of the track, and before there eyes was a tornado. Everyone began to freak out, and began running everywhere to find somewhere safe to cover themselves. Sunday Silence could no longer keep his calm, and he was doing everyting to escape from the starting gate. After a minute or two, the gates swung open, and the horses began to run. Like all the other horses, Sunday Silence ran towards the exit, his jockey on his back, holding on for dear life. He was close to the exit when he remembered, his mother. She was there with him, to see him on his big race day. She was back in the stalls at the front of the track; where the tornado was. Sunday stopped dead in his tracks, throwing his jockey over his head and onto the ground. He stared at the human for a minute before panic hit him and he ran in the other direction, going to get his mother. He stopped when he found her, frantically kicking and rearing up in her stall. Sunday Silence was only a few yards away when the tornado hit the back of the barn she was in, and right before his eyes, he watched her disipate into the spinning terror. He remembered seeing her panicked yet relieved look to see him, but he was too late. His mother was gone, and he couldn't do anything about it this time.
A few weeks later, Sunday was safe back at home. He only had his father now, but that was better than nothing. He continued his racing career, however without the help of his mother.
