Personality: Dakota (Tanak) is very curious, which often gets him in trouble. He’s kind and always thanks others when they do something kind. He’s a bit shy, but it only takes a little bit of talking to get him to open up if you’re kind.

Though kind by nature, he can’t stand bullies and has no hesitation to kick some sense into them when facing one.

Later, when he’s an adult, his personality has changed drastically though to circumstances growing up away from the herd.

He’s still kind, but only to those he’s with. He is no longer curious, but rather suspicious, though the curiosity is not completely gone, just buried under many layers of suspicion.

He’s toughened up and will fight without pause if instructed. He doesn’t trust easily, even acts suspicious of his own father when they meet again.

Only with his Indian companion and some other horses, does his nature revert back to the kind foal he used to be.

Abilities/skills: He’s a fast runner, like his father. Very agile and strong. As a foal he often tripped, but only because his curiosity distracted him enough that he didn’t pay attention to where he was walking/running.

History: At a young age, Dakota (Tanak) got separated from the herd when his curious nature got the best of him. After a while, his curiosity fulfilled, he found himself in unknown territory with no idea which direction he came from.

He encountered several dangerous animals, some he managed to avoid, others he wasn’t so lucky with. One encounter with a Puma nearly got him killed, but he was saved by three other horse, only they had people on their backs.

It turned out to be three Indians from a rival clan to the Lakota clan. They capture him and at first Dakota (Tanak) struggles and fights against them. Eventually though he submits to them, knowing he can’t do anything… yet.

He grows up into a gorgeous, strong stallion and has become an Indian War-horse. So he’s at the forefront of any attacks, he goes out to hunt and he goes out on spying quests.

One of these tasks, make Dakota (Tanak) and his Indian companion end up near Lakota territory. They are spotted and try to outrun them, not allowed a confrontation. Little does Dakota (Tanak) know, that Spirit, his father, was on a visit to Little Creek and they are the pursuers.

Dakota (Tanak) inherited his father’s speed and agile movements, but his dad has been at it far longer. They catch up to Dakota (Tanak), but the confrontation Spirit and Little Creek expected, is quite different. Instead of a rival Indian and his horse, they find a rival Indian with Spirit’s son.
