Kenai lived at the Cavalry for a good amount of her life, she was brought their with , some others horses. She was about 2 when she was brought into the cavalry camp, and she was very scared; cause she didn’t know anyone there and all the horses were very mean, to her, so she keep to herself most of the time.
One day while she was drinking water at her post , she heard a loud bang and then out of no where, this Indian boy came running with a rope letting all of the horses’ go, from the barn/post. The Indian boy saw her and went up to her and he cut the rope that was attached to her, and let her free. She was so happy she didn’t know what to do , she could follow the other horses or go with the Indians that where leaving back to their Lakota village.
Kenai went along with the Indians, she actually like them and hade fun living there, she was given her a position:
THE SPIRIT OR MEDICINE HORSE
She love that the villagers trusted her to give her that position, she was very happy and forgot about all the hard struggles in her life ; now that she lives with the Indians. Little creek was one of the humans that save her so she, respect him for that and will do anything for him.
