Pesonality: Sitka is almost exactly like her adopted father Spirit. She will fight for her freedom and protect her friends. She is  fiercely loyal to her father. The Lakota call her 'stallion fighter' because of her dedication to her father and how she will step in and fight stallions that get too close to winning Spirit's battles. She has much love in her heart, but is unforgiving towards man for killing her family. While she is very smart and sensible, her curiosity can get the best of her at times.

Relationships-

Spirit - Adopted father, she is fiecely loyal to him and will do anything to make sure he is still the leader of the herd, inclding fighting stallions like the Albino.

Rain - Adopted mother

Freedom- Sitka's younger adopted brother and best friend who she loves dearly

Mariska- Mariska was adopted by Spirit and Rain around the same time as Sitka was. The two are very close and are nearly connected at the hip.

Morning Arrow- Sitka's adopted sister and friend. They love to play pranks on each other!

Venus.-Sitka didn't get to know her that well because she left the herd soon after Sitka was adopted.

 Fury-Sitka's newest brother! She's very protective of him and will make sure he doesn't get into trouble!

Cheryl-good friend

Kacey- Sitka's best amigo!  When Sitka  found Freedom, Sitka wasn't that happy that another mare was being brought back to the herd, but eventually warmed up to her.

Dakotah - Sitka's best friend who is 3 years older than her. She had a HUGE crush on him for a long time, but was heartbroken when Ashanti stole his heart away from her. She became very angry at Ashanti and didn't talk to her for a long time.

Ashanti - Sitka's enemy and good friend. The two get into frequent fights, but make up in the end. Asante felt very bad that she stole Dakotah away from Sitka and often tries to hook Sitka up with Eclipse. She also had a relationship with Temperance's mate Bandit, but left him for Dakotah.

Silent Bandit - Spirit's brother, an army horse that escaped into the wild and lives in the Cimarron herd. He is an uncle to Sitka and looks after her when Spirit is not around.

Temperance - Sitka's aunt who also lives in the cimarron herd. She tries to teach Sitka the ways of the world from a skeptical point of view when Rain, who is full of creativity in her teachigs, is not around.

                                         -Si   Matrix - Sitka's Hero. She met him on one of her adventures. He gave her shelter in the Stargazer Herd and protected her from the Albino. Sitka will always remember his kindness and bravery.

The Albino- Sitka's worst enemy who she hopes to defeat one day to avenge her father's defeat.

Hawthorne-Sitka's "nephew"

     History: Sitka was born in a herd near the Cimarron herd a couple months after Eclipse. Her father was a palomino named Hawk and her mother was a chesnut named Rosa. The two were the lead stallion and mare.  An hour after her birth, her parents were looking with pride at her when Hawk suddenly picked up a scent. He urged his herd to move east, but she and her mother got lost and went west towards the Cimarron. Greedy ranchers who wanted more land for their own horses surrounded the herd   killed all of them, only sparing the life of a few mares and foals to be tamed. Meanwhile, other cowboys were catching up on Sitka and Rosa. Rosa new that the only way to survive was to jump a deep gorge with a deep river running through it. She and her baby both jumped but Rosa was shot. The helpless filly tumbled though the raging rapids and down a waterfall. When she was in calm water (river seen in the Cimarron in the movie) she struggled to swim until she finally reached the banks. She found her mother, but when she saw she was dead she  layed down next to her and started crying. Eclipse was playing with his friends when he saw the little filly and the dead mare. "Mommy! Daddy!" he cried. Spirit and Rain came running. They  looked at the filly and found she was alive.They told Eclipse to play with his friends as they talked. "We can't just leave her here," said Rain. Spirit agreed. She became Spirit and Rain's adopted daughter and Eclipse's sister. Spirit and Rain often talked about how they were going to tell Sitka her parents were dead. When she was a yearling, they finally told her that she wasn't their real daughter and her parents had been killed by man. Sitka never forgave man, but still loved her parents and still called them "Mom" and "Dad".  As for Eclipse, she began to see him as something more than a friend or a brother. The two finally became mates when Eclipse got Sitka pregnant. The herd at first didn't approve but soon accepted the fact. Sitka will have her foal a month from now and is living with her mate and the herd happily.
