Personality: Very sweet and shy. Absolutely terrified of humans but tends to trust most of the Lakota Tribe humans. Very trusting of those she likes and usually isn't much of a talker unless she's with someone she knows very well or likes a lot. Follows her mother or Sham everywhere. She's playful when she feels safe.
Likes: Sham, Star, tormenting Garnet, her herd, the Lakota tribe, playing.
Dislikes: Humans, anything that frightens her, wolves, cougars, coyotes, being chased, running, being separated from her family/ friends, most horses.
History: Istas was born to normally-colored parents on the Great Plains. Because she was born white (and white buffalos are very sacred to Native Americans), word about her quickly spread. Although her herd's territory ranges through several different Native American tribes, her parents tend to keep her towards the Lakota Tribe since they are the nicest to the buffalo herd.
However, after everyone knows about her, many Native American tribes attempt to bring her into their own territory; she is also a target of the nearby calvary, who know her white coat would bring them tons of cash. But Sham, one of the newer horses to the Lakota tribe, takes it upon himself to protect the poor calf and becomes very good friends with the rest of the buffalo herd. Istas soon meets Star and Garnet as well. She loves Star but loves to horse around with Garnet even more.
Relation to Spirit: Protected by the Lakota tribe and very good friends with Rain's little sister.
