History: Sue was born a little ways away from the Cimarron herd and when she opened her eyes she was all alone. She got up and wandered around for a few minutes looking for her mother. She heard some other horses near her so she went to them but none of them noticed her. She hung back on the outside of their herd and no one bothered her. When their leader, a big black stallion, and his son, a goldy yearling noticed her they just looked the other way not having the heart to confront her. Sue stayed with this herd for a while until one day a strange filly came up to her. This filly called herself Cougar Killer and she told Sue stories of family and of fun traveling. These stories were too good to be true to Sue but she decided to join this filly anyway.
Joining Cougar’s herd was the best thing Sue ever did. They grew up as the happiest family there ever was. They traveled all over having a good time and living life. That is until the horrible day Cougar disappeared. Sue was devastated and was a little miffed that she was all alone with the boys. For a whole year it was just the two boys and Sue. Jim was leading them well but they were all sad that Cougar hadn’t made her way home yet. One day they came across a whole bunch of horses running like crazy. They stopped one, a golden stallion, and he said that they were running from men. White men to be exact. Sue recognized this stallion and he her. Just as they were running away, the gold stallion said to Sue, “I’m glad you’ve found a good home.” They went their separate ways and Sue couldn’t have been happier when they saw Cougar. Ecstatic, the family ran home together.
Since Then: Sue and the others have been traveling with a stallion they met to return him to his home. They are now staying with his family for a while.

**note: I have not read the books nor will I. I realize Strider might have already been dead when Spirit was a year old but I don’t really care. In Sue’s history, he died after she left.**
