History: The son of a highly prized stallion, Othello was considerd extremly valuable. He was given to a favorite Colonel, who took him with out west. Othello grew used to the dust and heat, and the Colonel rode him whenever possible, which stretched Othello's stamina, but he refused to let it show. This led to him one day collapsing due to exhaustion. Othello was moved into the back of the stables where it was coolest and watched very carefully. He got his strength back and was ready to work again, but then a golden stallion the calvery had brought in broke free and busted alot of the other horses with him. Confused and trying to avoid getting knocked over, Othello ran with the other horses out of the fort. Because he was still a bit weak, he fell behind the others and when he stopped, he was lost. He started going back the way he came (at least he thought it was) but instead ended up going farther away and found a river. He wanderd the area for a bit, and found he liked this cool, grassy place alot better then the fort and decided to stay there. He wanders and explores during the day, but always returns to the river at night (his sense of direction improved).
Relation to Spirit: Was one of the calvery horses freed by Spirit in the movie.
