Personality: Thorpe is a very gentle stallion. He likes to be around humans and other horses. He has a great bind with his owner and trainer. He's a very athletic, enerjetic. He loves to go out and about in summer, and is always willing to have a practice run when the weather is nice. However, when the weather is cold, he sometimes turns a bit grouchy and doesn't like to wake up early to train. Thorpe can be a bit cheeky, he likes to joke around with his owner and fellow racers. He isn't all that bothered about mares, he likes being a bachelor. However, he treats mares with a lot of respect, as he knows he wouldn't be popular if he didn't.

Likes: Summer and spring, frolicking, other horses, his owner and trainer Madisyn, racing, nice weather, joking around.

Dislikes: Remembering the times in the Lakota tribe, the cavalry, being alone, cold weather, winter and autumn.

History: Thorpe was born as a member of the Lakota tribe. His mother had been a member for as long as she could remember. When he was a foal, Thorpe always wanted to be like Spirit, as he was told about Spirit's story by his mother.

One day when Thorpe was still very young, the Lakota tribe were attacked by the cavalry.  Thorpe's mother told him to run away and find somewhere to hide until it was safe. Thorpe did as he was told, but travelled to far from the Lakota's land and he couldn't find his way back. That night, he found himself alone, and ended up sleeping under a tree. It was cold, and Thorpe shivered a lot that night.

The day after, Thorpe woke up to the sound of voices. Voices from humans. They sounded so gentle and soothing. Thorpe stood up. As he looked around he suddenly caught sight of two humans standing by a tree very near to the one he had slept under. The smaller, female human started to coo and click her tongue. Thorpe wasn't really afraid of humans, and he approached her. She gave Thorpe a small carrot she had in her pocket.

Thorpe could never remember how, but he ended up a long, long way away from the Lakota tribe and his mother.

When he was old enough, the humans (Madisyn and Brian Harper) started to train him as a racing horse. Thorpe really enjoyed it. He never realised that he was quite so fast. He and Madisyn gained a fantastic bond, and Thorpe was very protective over her. And soon enough, Thorpe was ready to enter his first race.

Although he didn't come first, he came very close second. The other trainers at the race corse were astonished that Madisyn and Brian had been able to train a horse from a tribe, Thorpe was very proud of this. Thorpe was also given  a racing name, which was based on how he was found, 'Karannut' or 'The Run Away' in english.

Relation to Spirit: He was born as part of the Lakota tribe (the tribe which Little Creek and Rain were in.) He was also told of Spirit's story by his mother as a foal, and wanted to be like him at one point.
