Bio: Originally bred to be a working horse on a commercial ranch she was too much for them to handle. She didn't like being saddled or ridden (when the tack was managed to be put on) so she was given to a smaller farm.
She wasn't very well treated at the farm, they'd agreed to take her in to be a cart-horse but she would often play up and made it very difficult to get anywhere. In a vain attempt to get her to do what was wanted she was whipped, rather badly. Rather than get her to do what was wanted it made her aggressive and she was left locked in a small paddock in isolation.
Annie West found her when she passed by the farm and convinced the owners to let her have Bar, it didn't take a lot of encouragement. To begin with Bar remained aggressive but after some time and plenty of nurturing she managed to get rid of her aggressive streak, she's now able to have a head collar and lead rope put on and will tolerate petting from Annie but she's still grumpy and pretty bitter.
Bar LOVES being Viking's "top mare" and relishes being the leader of his little harem. She's bossy and touchy but becomes a little sweetie with Viking, liking to stay near him if she can and does not like being stabled further away from him than another mare.
