Personality: She's smart and generally nice. She can be very mean when she needs to and she likes to be in charge. You shouldn't boss her around unless you want to fight.

Background: Cougar was born on a ranch, but the farmer didnt want her because of her strange mane and tail markings. He believed he would be a laughing stock. He weened her quickly off of her mother's milk and chased her away. She grew up in the forest and learned to fight at a very young age to defend herself. she fought her first cougar at the age of 5 months and won at the price of a small scar on her flank. That is when she named herself Cougar Killer because thats what she knew she had to do to survive.

The longer Cougar was out on her own the more she hated people. She even began to hate her own mother. What kind of mother would let her daughter be chased away and not even fight for her? Every time she found a new herd that tried to include her she just convinced the foals to run away with her. At the age of 9 months she had her own small herd of 2 colts and 1 mare not including herself. They roamed all over and she taught them how to fight off animals and to stay clear of humans. Her herd trusted her and respected her lead. No one would ever try to challenge her because they had seen her be fierce against a grown cougar. The small herd grew up over the years fighting off any wild animal in their way, and believing that humans were horrible things.

Then one day Cougar was captured by surprise in the dead of night at the age of 2. The other horses went searching for but couldnt find her. She had been taken to a camp and was forced to help other horses carry a train over some big hills. She refused as long as she could and bit and kicked at the humans with all her might. After 2 months of this fighting, she relunctantly started pulling her fair share. She saw how much her not doing much affected the other horses and she hated that. She also hated how she couldnt think of a good enough plan to get them all out and for 9 more months she helped pull the wretched machine over miles and miles of land to the destination, and they still had more to go. Then one day a new horse was brought in. Cougar thought he was handsome enough and she admired his spirit. She admired him even more when he skillfully thought of a plan to free the all the horses. She was a little miffed that she didn't think of it herself but she was glad to be free.She never saw that wild stallion again but she could never forget him.

The next month she spent looking for her herd and finally, on her own birhtday, she found them. They had seen a bunch of other horses that recognized Cougar's description so they had been waiting around for her. They were extremely happy to have their 'sister' and leader back. They ran off back to their home, Cougar leading them joyfully.

Since Then: Cougar Killer and her fmaily have happily lived for two years on their territory. They lived well and whenever they were attacked by animals they dealt with them easily. They avoided humans whenever they saw them and just lived their lives. One day they came across a stallion that helped them after just meeting them. His name was Night and Cougar invited him to join them. He has been traveling with her and the others. They are traveling back to Night's family.

Relation to Spirit: She helped pull the same train he did. He saved her along with all the other horses pulling the train.
