How he's related to Spirit: Her herd made up the nearly half of the horses that pulled the train.

History: Born and raised in the wild, but ended up in a herd of all female horses. As soon as he was old enough, he was automatically the herd leader, even tho his mother wasn't the lead mare. But throughout his life, he has seen many other stallions from rivalling herds, but none as graceful as he. He impressed many mares and actually had many to mate with. The number of foals he's had in his day are unknown.

History (cont): When he got older, a few geldings joined his herd. Along with a spunky young female named Osprey. She was alot stronger than the other mares, and did his best to impress her. But the only thing that impressed her was when he defeated a stallion much larger than himself. The stallion was trying to steal members of his herd, Osprey included, and Finch would not have it. After that Osprey fell in love with him and they had a colt together named Killdeer.

History (cont): He often had to rescue his son from up-walkers or cougars or even wolves, so he found his son rather reckless, but still loved him and hoped he would be the leader of the herd after him. Once Killdeer was old enough, he challenged his father to a fight. Finch was defeated and left from there to live the rest of his life on his own, leaving his favorite mare behind. He was very proud of his son.
