Gender:     Mare

Breed:     American Mustang

Parents:    Killdeer (Finch x Osprey) x Aspen (??? x ???)

(Full) Siblings:     none

Color:     Chestnut (brown eyes)

Height: 15.3 hh

Face Markings: Stripe (it doesn't look like it in the pic though)

Leg markings: 1 stocking (hind leg)

Build: Very gangly and long. Like Night, she's also built pretty similarly to a thoroughbred but isn't as well muscled. She's not very sleek either but she is well-built.

Stallion/ Crush: none

Foals: none

Personality: Hyper and happy. She's not extremely hyper, but she's very playful. She never seems to lose her immaturity and foal-like spirit. However, she's still kind and understanding and really loyal... she's the one that would go stand by someone she doesn't know because she thinks they look lonely.

Likes: Running, jumping, playing games, Night, her herd, being friendly, many things in general...

Dislikes: Hate, being hated, misunderstandings, being rejected, seeing others get hurt.

History: Since Night is the only other foal her age, he's Juniper's best friend. They grow up together until they're 3. Then Night mysteriously wanders off, causing Juniper to follow. Juniper loses track of her friend and finds humans instead.

She soon is trained and her true talent, speed, is recognized. She is drafted into the Pony Express and although her technical owners are the U. S. mail, she forms a special bond with a young boy nicknamed Pepper, who has joined the Pony Express. She soon befriends Shah, another mail horse.

When she and Pepper aren't working, they practice by entering little races and even win small amounts of money. Juniper rarely loses. Even though she adores Pepper, part of her would still like to return to the wild.

Relation to Spirit: Is Spirit and Rain's grandson's best friend.
