It was an arid and quiet day for Baloo and Kit, flies buzzed around Kit's head as Baloo snored, his pilot cap over his eyes. At that moment Rebecca came into the room. "Okay, get up you two, I need you guys to go to Farcore City and deliver some mail." She said sternly, staring at the two lazy bears. Kit jumped up out of his seat and turned his cap backwards. "Anything you say Rebecca." He replied with a big grin, the only reply she got out of Baloo was. "Aww, but Beckie, it's so hot and sticky outside." But when Rebecca glared at him slightly, Baloo got the message. "Okay, okay..We'll do it." He mumbled. Molly came up and tugged on Rebecca's skirt. "Can Lucy and I go to?" She asked, looking up at her mother with big eyes and an innocent grin.
"Alright, just don't be a pain, and do what Baloo says." Said Rebecca, smiling at her daughter. Molly nodded and cuddled her doll Lucy, a big smile appearing on her face. "Hear that Lucy? We're going on a flight with Baloo and Kit!" She cried out with joy. Baloo smiled and ruffled the fur on top of her head. "Alright, alright, settle down little britches." He said and with a slight chuckle, he then headed out of the door. Kit followed, he was excited about going to a new city, and he was even more excited that Molly was coming with them. "Becareful!" Called Rebecca as the door slammed shut behind the trio. Baloo went up to his large yellow seaplane, The Sea Duck. "Hehe, how's my baby?" He asked the plane softly and patted it's side as he smiled.
Kit rolled his eyes and helped Molly get into the plane. Molly giggled and ran over to one of the gear sticks, she then pretended she was flying the plane. "I'll blast you down you bunch of no-good pirates!" She shouted playfully as she bounced up and down on the seat and made gun sounds. Kit laughed slightly. "Hopefully we aren't going to encounter any pirates Molly." He said, looking down at her. Baloo entered the plane and sat in the pilot seat. "Yup, Kit is right Molly, it's been a while since we last encountered Don Karnage and his gang, it's very unlikely that they are going to show up today."
Kit sat next to Molly in the co-pilot seat and fastened the seatbelt. Baloo started up the plane and started to take off, once he was high enough in the sky, he put The Sea Duck on auto-pilot and relaxed. Molly looked slightly startled. "Baloo, you aren't flying the plane, we're gonna crash!" She said worriedly. Baloo laughed and turned to look at Molly. "I have it on auto pilot, don't worry lil britches, we aren't gonna crash."
A few hours passed, the city was very far away and it would take at least ten hours to get there. Molly and Kit were fast asleep while Baloo stayed wide awake, playing his music quietly, he tapped his fingers to the beat as he hummed silently. Suddenly, the plane started shaking violently. "Whooa, we got some minor turbulines!" He said as the plane started going down, Baloo pulled back on the gear stick, but the plane kept freefalling into the fog bellow. There was a loud CRASH! BOOM! BANG! and then it was all over, everything went silent. "That was very unexpected." Muttered Baloo, he looked over at Molly and Kit, they were awakened when the plane crashed. "Are you two okay?" Asked Baloo, taking off his seatbelt.
"Yeah, we're fine." Replied Kit, he took off his seatbelt and told Molly that everything was okay and that they weren't going to die. "Stay here you two. I'm going to look around." Said Baloo as he exited the plane. Outside everything was foggy and cold, and dark clouds loomed up above. "Whoa, a major change of weather." Muttered Baloo with amazement, a strong gust of wind blew and Baloo shivered. "It looks like we're in the middle of nowhere..."
Kit cuddled a very scared and cold Molly. "Shh, it's ok Molly," He said comfortingly. "I'll go get Baloo." Kit exited The Sea Duck and ran up to Baloo. "Cmon Baloo, let's go, it's cold and windy and Molly is scared." Kit told him. Baloo nodded as he heard a ghostly howl.
Baloo entered the plane and sat at the pilot seat, he tried and tried but he couldn't get The Sea Duck to start. "Dang, it looks like my baby isn't gonna start for us, let's go look around and come back to her later." Muttered Baloo as he picked up a very frightened Molly and once again exited the plane. Molly buried her face into Baloo's fur, she was close to tears and very scared. "Baloo, I wanna go home." She whinned. "I know lil britches, but my baby won't start for us, we'll have to try to leave tomorrow." He replied softly. "Yeah, if we make it through the night." Kit muttered softly.
They walked around the island for half an hour, and finally, they found an old abandoned shack hidden amongst all the trees and bushes. Baloo noticed how creepy and strange the shack was, but just shrugged and went to push the door open, but it was stuck and it looked as though it hadn't been oiled for a few years. 'The rain must've rusted it tight..I'll have to kick it down.' Thought Baloo as he set little Molly on the ground and kicked the door as hard as he could, after five big kicks the door finally swung open and the trio entered the shack.
It was very dark inside for there were no lights, or so they thought, the lights were suddenly switched on and a dark figure emerged from the shadows. Baloo jumped back with surprise, his eyes widened. "Don Karnage!"
