His mane is flapping in the breeze,
His eyes are full of life
The sound of hoozes beating below
He's got me hypnotized
His bare back feels smooth
Beneath my nimble fingers
And as he runs throughthe canyon
Only dust still lingers
I look behind
My heart still pounds
As I can hear some
Shouting sounds
The Colonel and I become
Entangled in a race
His men and horses try and keep up
This will be a brutal race
But does Spirit panick?
No he keeps his cool.
If anyone think their horse can out run Spirit
They really must be a great big fool
As Spirit doesn't slow or stop
Though he must be tired
He runs and runs and runs and runs
As if he's escaping fire
Now he stops, he closes his eyes
I can't believe it's true
I bet he's thinking I'll jump this space
And and you are coming too!
I plead and beg but he ignores it all
And then he runs and jumps
We're flying through the sky blue air
This jump is rather fun!
