Russia, 19th Century, it was said that the color Brindle was recognized in that year, in that country. It was a cab horse, who, when passed away, was mounted in the Zooliogical Museum of Academy Sciences. That, was when the color was most recognized.

She, the one who was thought of to be perfect, beautiful, and had all that was ever desired by other horses. Her name, which was the same as her coat color, was Brindle. She was born in Russia, where, the color Brindle, was thought of to be the place of origin. Being born in the 1800's was to be thought of as a sweet time, at least for the striped mare, named Brindle.

It was a dry and rainny afternoon in the state of Oryal, possibly the smallest state in the huge country of Russia. The chestnut mare that lie on the ground, was heaving with great desire to get the foal out of her. She pushed and pushed, until, finaly, the small filly plopped out. She was just laying there on the ground, and the chestnut mare began to worry, she stretched as far as she could, with what strength she had left, to reach over to nudge the filly. She nudged her, and plopped right back down as soon as she felt her muzzle touch the soft, delicate skin and fur of her newborn foal. The filly began to move, and, quick as lightning, flashed her head up with a burst of energy. She looked around, wondering what this new place was outside of the womb. Her dam slightely lifted her heavy head, to see her filly, and when she saw her, she felt a whole new happiness inside of her. A kind of happiness that made it feel like she was walking on air. But suddenly, the mare dropped, completely fell with undesired wanting. She felt stinging and burning below her hips, and knew what was happening. The chestnut mare lifted her head, one last time, to see the light in the filly's eyes, to see the love and joy in the filly's movement, to see the light breeze flowing through the filly's mane. The filly looked back, noticing the pain and hurt in her dam's eyes, and without notice, the filly's dam drifted into a whole new world. She was being swept off her feet into the loving and caring tenderness of Equiss'  arms. She was gone.

It has been two days,forty-five minutes, and thirteen seconds since the filly has been by herself. She has no guardian, no food in her stomach, and no place to call home. She has been wandering around the stone streets of Russia, hoping for some luck to run into someone, or something to save her. The oddly colored foal passed varuious places, places that she wished she could go into, but alass, she could not because she was an animal. The filly passed bakery's, ones that smelt of frsh baked bread, and sweets as far as the nose could smell. And she passed the people who came out of the bakery with fresh-out-of-the-oven, delectable, delicious, and un-resistable goods.

How could a newborn filly stay alive for so long? She,the oddly colored foal, the beautifully colored filly, how could such a popular person stay alive without her crowd? The filly, strong with morale, stamina, energy, and much more was the best in her family, and could stand such conditions, like the one she was in.

The filly passed around the corner of the Bakery, and there stood a big, black gelding. He was an estimated 15.2 hands, with a high weight of around seventeen hundred pounds. The gelding spoke," You....are,you alone? A young foal...like yourself...are you alone?"

The filly stood there, staring up at the huge horse. She spoke no words.

The gelding spoke once more,"Excuse me....could you please answer me...I must know...Are you by yourself? If you are....I can help you....because you look way to young to be out in the cold and rain like this."

The filly began to speak,"Y...Ye.....Ye.....Yes.I....am......please help me,"The filly had such a small voice, it was the first time he had ever spoken, and she was not going to waste her breath...and time.

"Ok, I can help...please...if you would....follow me."

The filly followed the big, black gelding, and they walked for around twenty five minutes. She was cold, and she tucked up next to the gelding while she was walking,he kept her warm.

They soon arrived at a huge barn, and it was about morning when they got there. The gelding took her inside, where she saw MANY things! The filly saw cows, pigs, chickens, sheep, and more horses! She was walked over to a watering trough, although it was used for food. She dug her miniature face onto the trough, and ate until she could not feel her stomach. She was happy. The gelding said that the filly needed a name, because she could not go through life being known as "the filly" or "the oddly colored foal", she needed a name that expressed herself, she got an original name, that still expressed herself....Brindle.The color of her coat. And Brindle soon came to find out that the big, black geldings name was Senina.Senina was a carage horse, he spent his days attached to a carrage, lugging humans around Russia, to bring them to there destination. But, he was soon to retire, because, although his looks did not show it, he was an old man. A twenty-eight year old carrage horse. Senina was Brindles closest friend, because he saved her, and he was nice to her.

Brindle got to know all of the horses in the barn, and they all appreciated her story of her life or death situations. There was one specific mare, who Brindle loved alot, her name was Blondie. She was a palomino Quarter horse, and she was around thirty-five years old. She did nothing but stay in her stall all day because she was too old to do carrage work, but the mistress loved her too much to get rid of her, considering she had owned her since she wa a little girl. Blondie would stand in her stall all day, and listen to Brindle talk about her adventures. The first that was told was about Senina saving her life, and everyone huddled around to listen. But, from then on, Brindle would tell Blodie about what happened throughout her day. Whether she left the barn or not, Blondie still appreciated Brindle's stories because she had no other friends in the barn.

Alongside Blondie, there was Snider, a four year old Standardbred, who was also a carrage horse. Then there was Enday, a seventeen year old Appaloosa, another carrage horse. Then there was Sapay,Hisha,Kingle,Janay,Waksha, and Yaaw. They were all friends of Brindle.

Brindle has been under the care of the other horses and humans for about a years and a half now, and she has suddenly started feeling like she must leave. She feels like there is something else in the world for her, something she was meant to do, or be. So, on that bright and sunny Wednesday morning, she wished everyone a fair goodbye, and left. Brindle was on her own now, again, but she knew how to take care of herself  now. She knew she didnt need and milk, she knew she didnt need the care of a mare, all she knew was that she needed to find what she's been wishing and dreaming about, a home.

The foal, now a mare, has been looking for a place to call  home for nearly a year now, and she has been taking care of herself well. She is fit, healthy, and not a skinny, scronny yearling anymore.

On a warm, dry afternoon, Brindle found a stallion, he was about the same age as her, and he was very handsome. He ws a black and white stallion. Brindle hid behind a large shrub, and spied on the stallion. He walked over to the river to get a drink on that steaming hot day. Brindle thought he was gorgeous, so she got up her courage and walked out next to him. He looked at her in the water, and he went to look up to see her, and she was looking away. The stallion nickered and nudged Brindle. She slightely turned her head and looked at him...she drooped her head, wishing she had not come out of her hiding place. The stallion turned and looked at her, and he began to speak,

"Hello, ma'm, do you need something?"

"Umm, no, umm, never mind, I'll just leave"

"No, dont leave, please...stay"

"Umm, ok..okay"

"Do you need a place to stay? A place to call home? Somewhere to stay a while?"

"Umm, yes, do you have a place like that?"

"Well, infact...I do, follow me..please"

Brindle followed the mysterious and gorgeous stallion. They walked a while, but it was worth that wait. Brindle and the stallion showed up at a beautiful land, it was filled with various mares, various foals, and more stallions than she thought would be there"

"This is my homeland,ma'm"

"It's...It's,just..so..."

"Beautiful? I know, I chose it, I am the back-up lead stallion here, I have the same amount of power as the lead stallion, but I have more time off than he"

"Wow, are you sure I am allowed to stay here?"

"Absalutely, the herd leader will not have a problem with it, he's very kind and generous"

"Well, when I say 'are you sure I can stay here' I mean it as in...forever? I need a herd, I have been wandering for herds for years, and the ones I found I was rejected becuase, 'Theres already too many horses here', or 'You wont fit in, trust me'. It's nice to have somewhere to stay."

Suddenly a bay mare showed up from galloping over to the stallion. She had a beautiful star that connected to a wide blaze that wrapped around her muzzle.

"Hey Honey" the mare said

"Hi Sweetie"said the stallion

Brindle felt very awkward, it was obvious that the two were mates, that the mare was back up lead mare, she didnt feel placed right.

"Umm, who's this Twilight?"

"This is a newcomer, she asked for a place to stay so i figured, you know, why not? She's been a loner for an awful long time now."

"Oh"

"That is'nt a problem, is it....Honey?"

"No...no, no, no, no, no, no, absalutely not, I'm glad"

"Not to bud in here or anything, but I never got the chance to catch any bodies name here.."said Brindle

"Same here, Im Twilight Night, but you can call me Twilight"

"And I'm Mariska, but you can call me...well....Mariska....hehe"

"OK, I'm Brindle, nice to meet you guys, and thankyou for letting me stay here....Twilight"

Mariska got a bad feeling in her stomach, she could tell that Brindle loved Twilight, and she would not let him slip out between her fingers(so to speak).

Brindle and Mariska and Twilight walked down into the valley.Brindle was welcomed imediately by many mares and stallions. She could get used to her life here.
