PART 1-

Zazu and Mufasa sat on the top of Pride Rock, overseeing the new day. Herds of different species of animals ran back and forth all over the Pride Lands, eating the plentiful food. Zazu smiled as an older lioness approached him and his king.

"Good morning my love." Mufasa chimed, nuzzling the lioness. She was able to return a smile, but then she saw that Zazu was staring at her.

"Something wrong Zazu?" she asked, walking closer to the dodo. Zazu gulped, but then realized she would NEVER eat him. Mufasa would probably exile her for that. He flew off of his back and onto the cold rock.

"Nothing Sarabi. And how are you holding up?" he asked. Zazu had had a baby to call his own, but that was ruined when a hyena had killed her and his mate both. Sarabi smiled.

"The New Heir will be here sometime today." she said happily. She nuzzled Mufasa and silently walked back into the den. Then, Zazu noticed her stomach was hanging down. She was nine months pregnant, and Zazu hadnt even noticed. Mufasa smiled.

"Zazu, please go fetch Rafiki. I will need someone to do the ceremony for our cub."

*******

About three hours later, Rafiki, Mufasa, Sarabi, and Zazu sat and stood at the promontory. Thousands of animals were gathered around the base, making all kinds of different sounds and what not. Rafiki turned to Mufasa and Sarabi and reached out his tiny arms.

"Come on Sarabi. Give him up." Mufasa said, gently nuzzling his wife. Sarabi smiled and handed him to Rafiki. Rafiki slowly walked up the promontory and held up the golden brown cub. The animals erupted into a wave of roars and cheers.

"We will call him Simba, which means The Lion King." Mufasa bellowed. All the lionesses roared in approval.

PART 2-

Young Simba woke up at the peak of dawn. A cool breeze swept through the den, making him shiver. He moved closer to his mother. HIs tiny yawn was starting to sound more like an roar. This made him extremely happy. Then he remebered Nala.

NALA.

He slowly began to fall asleep, but then he saw 2 icicle colored eyes staring at him. He let out a yawn along with a toothy grin.

"Good morning Simba." she whispered. Simba shakily stood up and walked outside with Nala. They looked at each other and decided to go to a stream where they had met. SImba smiled at her, and together they took off.

DEATH.

Simba hated the word. It had happened to so many people he loved. Sarafina, Tahlee, Keliona, and Nala. Nala was the one he missed most. It had happened all so fast, with Zira........

***** (5 months before)

Nala, Simba, Tahlee, Keliona, and Sarafina had been a little ways from Pride Rock when Zira and her pride had attacked. Nala and Simba had been young cubs, a little over 4 years old. Nala walked a little ways in front of Simba and turned back to him.

"Come on Simba," she said happily. The other lionesses were trailing behind, and Simba was unsure of if going ahead was a good idea. He looked to Nala's mother, who was socializing with Keliona.

"NALA." he said urgently, noticing that they were going into dustier, hotter territory. Nala continued on, that's when the pride attacked. One single lioness jumped out from behind a dead tree and attacked Nala. She slashed her side and Nala screamed. Simba ran and pounced onto the lionesses back and sunk his teeth into her neck, letting himself grip onto her.

"SARAFINA!" he exclaimed. The young lioness turned to see Simba gripped onto a lioness, and another one slashing at her daughter.

"NALAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!" she screamed, pouncing after her daughter. Nala ran to a small cliff, blood dripping down her side and her face. Simba began to cry. Soon the lioness's body went limp under his weight. He smiled, blood dripping down his teeth.

"SARAFINA!" a shrill voice exclaimed. A golden lioness jumped into the fight. Tahlee.

"TAHLEE! NO!" Simba screamed, jumping over to help the lioness. Soon Tahlee fell dead. Zira smiled.

"You, the white one, come here." she taunted. Keliona shook her head. Zira killed Keliona in one strike. Simba saw Nala, hanging onto the small cliff for her life, a large pool of blood gathering below her. He turned, and saw the 3 most important lionesses in his life, besides his mother, dead. Nala was really close.

"Who do you think you are?!" he exclaimed, turning to Zira. She smiled.

"Ruler of the Out Lands!" she exclaimed. An older lioness strode up. She had golden fur and hideous black eyes. She smiled evily.

"Which one mistress?" Zira asked, her head toward the older lioness. The older lioness pointed to Nala, who was crying for help from her mother. Simba growled.

"AS LONG AS I AM HERE, YOU WILL NOT, AND MAY I REPEAT, WILL NOT TOUCH THAT CUB." He warned, unsheathing all his claws for one heck of a fight. As Zira began to walk to the small ledge Nala hung from, Simba quickly lunged at the lioness. (Shalua)

Shalua fought, but could not get Simba's grip to loosen. Her final words were, "Kill...... cubs......"

Zira slashed at Nala once as hard as she could, and ran down to carry her fallen mistress back home. Simba grimaced and walked up to the ledge. Nala had her head on the ground. Her icicle colored eyes were filled with blood. Simba gently leaned on her biggest wounds, and was able to mop up some blood with his fur. She had so many scratches on her he was surprised she wasn't dead yet.

"Simba, let's go home." she whispered. Simba nodded, and together they made the long painful journey home.

PART 3-

Sarabi paced the den on the inside of Pride Rock. Her husband watched her closely. The sun was just beginning to set on the horizon, and Simba, Nala, Keliona, Tahlee, and Sarafina were not back yet. This worried Sarabi deeply.

"Mufasa, i'm worried." she said. Mufasa nuzzled her. "Honey, they are with 3 other lionesses. They'll be back soon, I know it. Let's go to sleep." he urged. As she started to drift off to sleep, Simba walked into the room. He had cuts all over his sides, one right above his eye that looked infected, but other wise he was fine.

Nala was the real problem.

"OH MY GOODNESS! WHAT HAPPENED?!" she exclaimed, runninng over to nala and beginning to lick her. Mufasa did this also for Simba as he told the story of the perilous attack. Sarabi began to cry.

"Poor Sarafina. How did Nala manage to stay alive?" she asked.

"She hung onto a small ledge. How is she?"

"She's not well. ZAZU!" Sarabi exclaimed. The small dodo flew into the room.

"Yes your majesty?" he asked.

"Fly to Rafiki's tree and tell him it's Nala. I cant stop the bleeding." she replied. Zazu nodded and flew out into the cool night. Mufasa stood up and walked to his bed. Simba winced and began to sob.

"What's wrong Dad?" he asked sadly.

"Your clean." Mufasa whispered.

Simba looked at himself and realized all his wounds were cleaned except his one above his eye. He smiled and walked over to his dad and laid down. He began to fall asleep and then he began to dream.

*********

They were back at the battle ground. Except this time, there was a huge ravine that seemed to go into nothingness. From top to bottom was pitch black. A thin metal wire hung above it, and on it....

Was Nala.

Simba stood at the end of the ravine, trying to scream to her. The young cub's blood poured into the ravine, and she was crying out for help. At the other end of the ravine, was Zira. She was on her hind legs, teeth bared, getting ready to cut the wire.

"NALA!" Simba screamed. He lunged for the wire, but Zira cut it. The 2 of them fell into the blackening ravine.

******

When Simba woke up, he was screaming. His mother was no where to be found, but his father was quietly sleeping next to him. A group of lionesses was outside with Rafiki, surrounding something. Simba followed the trail of blood to find Nala.

"MOM?"

Sarabi turned to her son, who was starting to cry. His eye was turning black and blue.

"Simba, come with me." she whispered. Simba shook his head.

"I want to stay with Nala."

"Keziana, Liona, and Makus. Take him to the cave and keep him there." she said. 3 lionesses turned away from Nala and cornered Simba. They all had menacing looks on their faces.

"Come on Simba."

"Don't make this hard."

"Come with us."

Simba tried to run to Nala, who was calling his name in incriments of whispers.

"NALA! I LOVE YOU! NOOOOOOOO!" he screamed. He tried to call out to her, but then he realized his voice was gone. He was surrounded by lionesses and his father, and there was nothing he could do about it. But before she died, he thought he heard Nala say, "I love you too."

************************

Simba awoke as a full adult. It was 15 years after Nala had died, and so far, he was doing well as king with his father and mother helping him. One day when SImba woke up, he was greeted by Keliona's daughter, Keziana. She was a gorgeous lioness with the same eyes Nala had, but darker fur, and a kind heart, just like Nala.

"Good morning my king." she whispered. Simba had no feelings for Keziana, but she was his hunting leader. That was all.

"Send your lionesses out for their morning hunt. I need to do something real quick." he said. Keziana nodded and walked over to Sarabi. Simba walked outside into the cool air and walked to the bottom of Pride Rock. Down there, was where they buried all their lionesses. The one in front was Nala.

SImba walked into the graveyard and laid down.

"Nala, words can not describe how much I miss you. It's like i can't get you out of my mind, even though you have passed. Sometime's I wonder if I could've saved you, and Tahlee, Keliona, and your mother. I'll never forget the times we had. But I'll never forget your last words either. I love and miss you baby. I'll always remember you." he whispered.

"I know how you feel."

Simba whipped around to find his father standing behind him. He smiled.

"When I lost my mother and father, I felt like this. But if I know one thing, Its that Nala loves you and is watching you son."

"I loved her dad. She was amazing."

**********************************************************************************************

Simba did keep his commitment to Nala, he never married. He did consider Keliona's daughter, but decided he wasn't ready. He died an old lion, and decided one of the friends of his fathe-r would be the new King of the Pride Lands.
