The Lion King 3: The Decision (Chapter 1)
Two weeks have past since the war between the Pridelanders and the Outsiders. But lately, Simba has been having trouble sleeping at night, because he’s had nightmare’s of the Outsiders attacking the Pridelanders. He, even in those dreams, Nala was killed by Vitani and that Kiara was also killed by Kovu.
It was close to noon as a young lioness with light golden fur, brown eyes and a white-creamy underbelly walked down Pride Rock and found a spot in the sun near Pride Rock to lay in the sun. The lioness’ name was Kiara, as she found a smooth rock to lay on.
So Kiara laid down on her back, letting the sun shine on her chest and belly, closed her eyes and said to herself, “It feels so nice out here, it’s so peaceful to. I wish I could do this more often, especially since Kovu…”
But Kiara couldn’t finish as a lion with brown fur and a dark mane carried on what Kiara was saying, “Is so generous, so much more handsome and good-looking then all the other male lions in this world.”
As Kiara turned over onto her belly, she looked at the lion who said that, it was none other than Kovu. As Kiara looked at Kovu and Kovu looked at Kiara, they both started laughing.
After awhile of laughing, Kiara replied with a big smile on her face, “Yes he is.”
Kovu chuckled and replied, “How are you feeling today Kiara?
As Kiara nuzzled Kovu, she answered, “I’m just fine, what about you?”
As Kovu also nuzzled her, he said, “I’m just fine dear, thanks for asking.”
As Kiara started purring a bit, Kovu said, “Well, I’m going to get a drink of water, I’ll be back soon.”
Kiara giggled a little and replied, “Okay, I’ll wait.”
Kovu nodded as Kiara turned around and saw an big branch to lay on. So Kiara climbed it and laid down on her belly, allowing her hind legs to dangle from both sides of the branch as she rested her head down on her paw, closed her eyes and took a little nap.
So, after awhile of resting, she opened her eyes and slowly got up and jumped down off the branch. As Kiara began stretching her body, she yawned revealing her very sharp teeth.
Kiara then looked beside her and saw Kovu actually taking a nap himself, so she whispered to him, “I’ll be right back.”
As soon as she turned around, she saw a small lioness cub stop in front of her and said with a huge grin on her face, “Hi Kiarwa. How was your nap?”
Kiara then giggled a bit then answered, “I’m fine Nama, it was a very peaceful rest.
As Nama just stood there with a huge smile on her face, she finally asked, “Kiarwa, can you pwease give me a wide on your back.”
As Kiara was about to say no, Nama put on big puppy dog eyes and Kiara finally gave in and said, “Okay, but just for a few minutes. I have to speak to daddy about something important.”
Nama then replied joyfully, “Yey, thanks Kiarwa.”
As Kiara nodded, she leaned down and allowed Nama to climb on her back. After a couple of minutes walking, Nama yelled, “Faster, faster.”
Kiara just rolled her eyes as she began jogging a bit. Nama then crawled onto the back of Kiara’s neck and put her head up into the wind and said, “Weeeee, I’m fwing, I’m fwing!”
As Kiara started feeling some bad pain in her neck, she ran towards Pride Rock and as soon as they got there, Kiara said, “Okay Nama, you’re going to have to get off, because my neck is really hurting, okay.”
As Nama nodded, Kiara leaned down and allowed Nama to jump off and run back to her mom.
Nama is an very adventurous cub, she has tan fur, brown eyes like her mom, has a small turf on top of her head, like Vitani, and has a pure white underbelly. Her mother’s name is Kisha.
Kisha is also a young adult lioness, about Kiara’s age. Kisha is a Pridelander and has light tan fur, brown eyes and a pure white underbelly. She’s a very skillful hunter and fighter.
As soon as Nama ran to her mother, Kiara rubbed the back of her neck and said painfully, “Does she always have to be on my neck?”
Then out of nowhere, Kovu said, startling Kiara, “From the looks of it, I’d say yes.”
Kiara looked at Kovu and said, “Kovu, stop it.”
As Kovu chuckled, he asked, “How’s your neck feeling, any better?”
Kiara smiled then said, “A little, I guess.”
Kovu then replied, “Here, maybe this will help.
Kovu then licked the back of her neck and gave her a small kiss. Kovu then said, “There, any better?”
Kiara giggled a little, then said, “Oh, it feels much better.”
Kovu smiled as the two nuzzled each other deeply. After awhile, Kiara said, “Kovu, I have to talk to my dad for a moment, it’s important.”
Kovu replied, “Okay, I’ll just be over there then.”
As Kiara nodded, Kovu left and Kiara walked up Pride Rock and was about to enter until she heard Simba talking to Nala. So Kiara stepped back and listened.
Simba said, “I’ve been having second thought’s about Kovu and the Outlanders joining us. I mean, what if they try to attack us again?”
Nala replied calmly, “Simba, don’t worry to much, we are one, remember? And don't worry, they won't attack us. As long as Kovu and Kiara are with each other, everything will be fine, you’ll see.”
Simba replied, “Yes, but how do we know that for sure? I mean, what if Kovu still has some darkness inside him, I can’t risk him being close to our daughter.”
“Oh Simba, stop worrying to much. Kovu loves our daughter to much to be evil.”
“Nala, think about it, this is Kovu we are talking about. He was trained to be a heartless killer and who knows what might happen. Kiara’s not nearly as strong as him, she would stand no chance against him. Kiara’s to delicate.”
“See there you go again, you’re being to overprotective of her. She’s now an young adult and can take care of herself. She doesn’t need a dad who is still to overprotective of her. Don’t you have faith in her?”
“I do have faith in her, but she’s to defensless, and with Kovu around, who know’s what will happen.”
“Simba…”
“No Nala, I’m not going to take any chances with our daughter, Kovu will not be future king and will not be her mate. He’ll just be a friend of her’s. And, as for the Outsiders, I don’t know what I’m going to do with them yet.”
As Nala narrowed her eyes, she said, “How could you say that about our daughter, and Kovu? Kovu has changed and so has the others, you just don’t want to believe it. Anyway, well I’m going to go ahead and rest out in the sun.”
But before Nala got out of the cave, Kiara stepped in with tears in her eyes and said, “Daddy, is that true? Do you still believe that the Outlanders and Kovu are bad?”
Simba sighed and replied, “I can’t take any chances. Kiara, you mean to much to me and I don’t want him to harm you in any way.”
Kiara replied, “How could you say that about them? Kovu has changed and so has the others, you just don’t want to believe it.
“Kiara, they are Outsiders, who knows what…”
“They are not any more, we are one. Why can’t Kovu be my mate and why can’t he rule along beside me? I love him and he loves me, how could you say that about him, don’t you trust me?”
“Hunny, I do trust you, it’s just that you aren’t that strong enough yet to defend yourself if anything happens to you. Kovu is not going to rule, you are, not him?”
“But why not, he’s changed?”
“Kiara, I already told you…”
“No, Kovu will rule along beside me, he’s my friend and soon to be mate. We love each other so much that if you were to exile them along with Kovu, you would have to exile me to, because I love Kovu and I will never leave his side, never.”
“Don’t you dare raise your voice at me, I’m your father and I said no.”
“I don’t care what you say, it’s my life, you can’t control my life anymore. I make my own decisions, not you. I’m not your little girl anymore, I’m a young adult who has found love in a lion that you hate. And if you’re going to hate Kovu, then you’re going to have to hate me, because I’m not leaving his side.”
But before Simba could answer, Kiara ran out of the den to try to find Kovu. Back in the den, Nala walked towards Simba and slapped him in the face and then left.
As Vitani and Kisha saw Kiara running towards them, Vitani asked, “What’s wrong Kiara?”
But when Kiara didn’t stop, Vitani looked at Kisha and then they both started after her. So, as Kiara didn’t answer and kept on running, with tears streaming down her face. As Kiara ran past the boarders of the Pridelands/Outlands, she finally came to a stop and just kept on crying as she just let herself fall to the ground and just lay there crying.
Just then, Vitani and Kisha entered the Outlands and spotted Kiara laying on the ground while crying. So Vitani approached her and asked, “What’s wrong Kiara?”
As both Kisha and Vitani helped Kiara up, Kiara replied with tears still in her eyes, “It’s daddy, he doesn’t trust me with Kovu. He said that he will…will not allow him to be my…my mate or Future King. And he said he’s having second thought on you and he doesn’t trust you and might exile you along with Kovu again.”
As both Kisha and Vitani were shocked to hear that, Vitani hugged Kiara and said, “It’s okay Kiara, we’ll find a way to change his mind. We will show him that we have changed, okay.”
As Kiara nodded, she cried more into Vitani’s chest. After awhile of crying, Kiara backed away and said, “Sorry Vitani, I didn’t mean to cry…”
Vitani replied with a small smile, “No Kiara, it’s okay. We’re here for you if you need us at anytime, okay.”
As Kiara sniffled a little, she replied, “Okay.”
Kisha then said, “Kiara, you want to head back now?”
As Kiara nodded sadly, Kisha gave Kiara a lick on the cheek and said, “It’s okay to be sad Kiara, I promise you, you and Kovu will pull through this together and find a way to keep us together as one.”
As Kiara smiled, she replied, “Thanks Kisha.”
As Kisha nodded, the three headed on back home together. Hoping they will stay together as one.It was nearing mid afternoon as Kovu was walking up Pride Rock to see if Kiara was there, though Kovu was a bit nervous because the way Simba was acting towards him and his fellow Former Outlanders.
So once Kovu got to the top, he saw Simba pacing back and forth inside. He looked as if he was in deep thought about something, so Kovu decided to ask, “Um, Simba, do you know where Kiara is? I can’t find her.
Simba stopped pacing and replied plainly, “No, why?”
Kovu answered, “Because I would like to speak to her about something important.”
Simba asked, “Why is it so important, you’re not up to anything are you?”
Kovu replied nervously, “No, I just need to tell her something, privately.”
Simba asked very suspiciously, “Why can’t you just say it here? Tell me why it’s so important that you can’t say it here.”
Kovu stumbled a bit, then replied, “Well I…can’t tell you first, because I need to talk to her first before I or we tell you.”
Simba growled under his breath quietly, then replied, “No, you’re going to tell me first before you talk to my daughter.”
Kovu hesitated then said, “But I can’t, I have to make sure if it’s alright with her.”
Simba answered, “Well, whatever it is, the answer is no.”
“But why can’t she be my mate?”
“Because, you’re an Outsider. You were trained to be a murderous lion and I can’t take that chance, and your fellow outsiders, I can’t trust them and I can’t trust you to be her mate, and that’s final.”
Kovu then growled quietly, hoping Simba wouldn’t hear it, but Simba did and before Kovu had time to react, Simba pinned Kovu and said, “Don’t you dare growl at me. I’m only doing what’s best for my daughter.”
“No you’re not, I’ve seen the way you’ve acted towards her lately and you’re just making her life more miserable and…”
But Kovu couldn’t finish as Simba put his paw on his throat and started choking him. Simba then said, “Don’t you dare talk back to me, because if you do that one more time, you’re going back to the Outlands, along with your sister and the other outsiders, got it?”
Simba then got off Kovu as Kovu got up slowly, trying to get his breathing back to normal.
Back to where Vitani, Kiara and Kisha were heading back to Pride Rock at a jogging pace. But all of a sudden, Kisha tripped over a rock and just happen to fall on a very sharp piece of rock that was already broken off the bigger piece and it cut right into Kisha’s right foreleg as it tore the skin and blood flowed freely out of Kisha’s leg wound. Kisha yelped at the pain, as Blood began rushing down her foreleg as Vitani and Kiara ran over to check on her.
They saw that Kisha did indeed get a good sized wound on her foreleg, but the wound was only bleeding moderately, so it wasn’t to bad.
Kisha then told Vitani and Kiara, “Don’t worry, it’s ok, plus it doesn’t hurt that much.”
But right after Kisha said that, Kiara then gasped and said, “Oh no, if my dad finds out that this happened, he might exile you and the rest of the Outlanders, including Kovu back to the Outlands.”
But just as Kiara said that, they heard a voice say, “And he sure will, after I injure Kiara, he’ll definitely exile you.”
Vitani growled and said, “Show yourself. We are not going to get exiled, plus we will not allow you to injure Kiara.”
They then heard him laugh evilly and all of a sudden, he jumped out of the bushes and before Kiara had time to react, he racked his razor sharp claws across Kiara face. As Kiara yelped in pain, Dark red Blood began rushing down the side of her face and quickly started dripping to the ground.
So, after that happened, he ran back into the shadows and yelled while running back, “Well, have fun getting exiled!”
He then disappeared into the shadows and was gone. Vitani then growled angrily, but then turned to face Kiara as did Kisha and asked, “Are you ok Kiara? Your face is bleeding pretty badly.”
Kiara replied while cringing at the pain, “Yeah, I’m fine. It just stings is all.”
Kiara then put her paw on her face then took it off then saw how much blood had covered her paw.
Kisha then said nervously, “Okay, we better get you to Rafiki quick before Simba arrives and…”
But before she could finish, they heard Simba, so she said, “To late.”
Simba then came running to his daughter and said, “Kiara, are you ok, who did this to you?”
But before Kiara could answer, Simba glared angrily at Vitani, then said, “Vitani, gather your friends, I would like to talk to you and them for a moment.”
Vitani gasped, then said, “But, I didn’t…”
Simba then said angrily, “Don’t you dare argue with me Vitani! Kovu already got in trouble for doing that with me, so shut your mouth, got it?”
Vitani then replied quietly, “Okay.”
Kiara gasped as she signaled Kisha to come with her, she did as they both caught up with Simba and Kiara said to him, “Daddy, it wasn’t her fault, she didn’t do anything. It…”
“Kiara, I don’t want to hear it right now. Kisha, take Kiara to Rafiki so he can take a look at her wound.”
Kisha replied, “Yes sir.”
Kiara then said, “But, but…”
Simba then said, “No Kiara, go to Rafiki’s tree now. I’ll meet up with you later.”
Kiara then replied, “Yes daddy.”
So Kisha took Kiara to see Rafiki as Vitani gathered all the former outsiders and Kovu and met with Simba at Pride Rock.
Simba then signaled Vitani to come forward and said angrily, “Vitani, how dare you hurt my daughter. You know better than that, at least that’s what I thought earlier. Vitani, your punishment is…”
But before he could say what the punishment was, he heard Kiara and Kisha come running up Pride Rock saying, “Daddy, she didn’t do this to me, none of them did!”
Kovu then sighed in relief and walked towards Kiara and said, “Oh thank-goodness you’re ok, I was worried sick.”
Kiara replied, “Don’t worry, I’m fine Kovu. You can’t get rid of me that easily.”
Kovu chuckled a little and gave her a small lick on her cheek and answered, “That’s good to hear.
Simba then growled a little at the sight of Kovu talking to Kiara, then said, “Quiet Kovu, don’t you dare be saying that none sense to her.”
Kiara then said, “Daddy, it’s not none sense, why would you say that?”
Because, he’s an Outsider and you never know what they’ll do, so just be patient.”
As Kiara nodded, Simba said to Vitani, “Vitani, your punishment will be…exile.”
Just then, Kiara practically couldn’t believe it, so she yelled, “WHAT?! You can’t exile her for doing nothing, you can’t exile the others either, because they didn’t do anything!”
Simba replied, “Well, I’m sorry, but that’s just the way it is. Vitani, you’re exiled and to never return, along with the other Outsiders, including Kovu.”
Kiara then yelled with tears running down her face, “You know daddy, if you do this, there will probably be another war, except this time worse!”
“Well, then that’s the way it will be. Kovu, take your pride and get out of the Pridelands before I have you killed!”
Kiara then yelled, “NO! You can’t do that! Fine, if your going to exile my friends and my love, then you’ll have to exile me to!
Simba then replied, “Kiara, don’t you dare go with them. You’ll be torn to pieces if you go with them.”
“No I won’t. Their my friends, unless you change your mind and let them stay, I’m going with them!
Kisha then yelled, “No Kiara. Fine Simba, if she gets exiled, then I’m going with her!”
Kanaka then said, “Kiara’s been my best friend since we were cubs Simba, if she’s going away, then I am to.”
Nama then ran to her mom and asked, “Where are we going mama?”
Kisha replied, “We’ve been exiled sweetie, we have to go to the Outlands now.”
Nama then asked, “What are the Outwands?”
Kisha sighed and replied, “I’ll tell you later, okay sweetie?"
Nama replied, “Okay mommy."
Kisha put a small smile on her face and asked Nama, “Would you like a ride on my back sweetie?"
Nama replied while giggling, “Yey, I get to wide on mommy.”
Kisha giggled a little and leaned down and let Nama climb on her back and then continued walking.
Simba was about to yell out for his daughter, but they soon disappeared.
Back to where Kiara was, Kovu asked, “Kiara, are you sure you want to do this? I mean, you have a life, a great life in the Pridelands. But in the Outlands, there’s barely anything.”
Kiara smiled and nuzzled Kovu while purring a bit, then replied, “I’m sure Kovu! I would never want to leave my mate. I love you to much to be without you.”
Kovu chuckled a little and nuzzled Kiara back and said, “Thanks dear. I love you so much that you don’t know how much I love you."
Kiara giggled a little as Vitani walked up beside Kiara and said, “Thanks Kiara for sticking up for me, besides Kovu, I rarely get that. I know you must feel terrible about going to the Outlands, but I’m glad you’re my friend, I couldn’t ask for a better friend than you.”
Kiara replied, “Thanks Vitani, you to have become one of my best friends and I’m glad you are.”
Vitani replied, “Thanks Kiara.” Vitani gave a small lick on Kiara’s cheek then said, “You know Kiara, you are also like a sister to me, I rarely ever feel like I have a sister.”
Kiara smiled and replied, “Thanks Vitani.”
As Vitani nodded, they reached the boarder of the Pridelands/Outlands and soon as they entered the Outlands, they saw what looked like a nightmare, they saw about 23 rogue lions and lionesses. There were four male lions and the rest were females.
Kiara felt fear role down her spine as it looked like they would have one heck of a day there.
Kiara then told everyone to stop and they did as they waited for the right moment to go.
Kiara then said quietly, “Okay, Vitani, Kovu and I will go and see if we can come to some sort of agreement with them, the rest of you stay here.”
Kovu then looked at his fellow friends and said, “Do what she says. Stay here for a bit and if they attack us, you come on out and give us help, okay.”
The lionesses all nodded as Vitani asked Kiara, “Are you sure you want to go with us? I mean, we don’t know what to expect from them.”
Kiara replied, “Yes, I’m sure.”
As Vitani added, “Because I couldn’t bear to lose you, if you were to die, I would never forgive myself.”
Kiara replied, “It’s ok Vitani, I won’t die on you, that’s a promise.”
As Vitani nodded, the three took deep breaths and walked on forward until they were met by two huge male lions and a few lionesses. The two male lion’s names were Krooger and Kadio. Krooger had dark brown fur, red eyes, very strong and muscular, an full grown pitch-black mane and an white-creamy underbelly.
Kadio also had dark brown fur, almost fully grown black mane, red eyes, also very strong and muscular and an white-creamy underbelly.
Krooger then said, “You are trespassing here, leave now or we will kill you.
Kadio then said, “Well, who do we have here, the Princess of the Pridelands Kiara, and the former princess of the Outlands Vitani. How nice to finally meet you.”
Kiara asked bravely, “How do you know my name?”
Kadio replied, “Well that’s pretty easy, you and Kovu were the ones who stopped the battle between both of your prides, we heard lots of stories about that.”
Krooger then snapped at Kadio, “Shut it! Anyway, this is your final warning, leave now or we will kill you.”
“We came because we were exiled and we want to come to some sort of agreement with you,” Kiara said.
Krooger then answered, “Well sorry, this is our land, so since you didn’t listen to my warning, we shall kill you three.
Back to where the Outlanders were, they heard that so they rushed on out and stood behind their leaders as Kanaka stayed back with Kisha and her daughter.
Kadio then said, “Ah, I see you brought backup, well, here’s our backup.”
Kovu’s Pride was outnumbered 23 to 16 by Kroogers Pride.
Kadio then said, “I say that the two princesses should die first.”
And in a matter of seconds Krooger and Kadio both jumped at Kiara and Vitani.
But before Vitani and Kiara had time to react, Kadio pinned Vitani and Krooger pinned Kiara. And right after that, the rogues attacked Kovu’s Pride!
Krooger then said to Kadio, “Well, that was a little to easy.”
But as Krooger and Kadio weren’t paying attention to Kiara and Vitani, Kiara nodded at Vitani and both Vitani and Kiara kicked Krooger and Kadio off them! But just as Kiara was going to attack Krooger, 3 rogue lionesses teamed up on her and started sinking their teeth into Kiara’s flesh!
Just then, one of the rogue lioness’ slammed her paw into Kiara’s face and Kiara hit the ground hard, but as soon as Kiara tried to get up, two rogue lionesses sund their teeth deep into Kiara’s right foreleg and the other rogue lioness sunk her teeth as deep as she could into Kiara’s right hind leg! As Kiara roared in agony, the lionesses wouldn’t let go of her legs, so with all the strength Kiara had in her, she kicked the lioness that was had her teeth in her hind leg right in the face and knocked her out cold. Then Kiara batted her other paw into both of the rogue lioness’ face as hard as she could and ended up knocking both of them out cold to!
So, as Kiara got up as best as she could, even though her hind leg and right foreleg had deep gashes in them with dark red blood basically covering all of Kiara’s foreleg and hind leg, she began searching for where Kovu was.
Over to where Vitani was, she seemed to have everything under controle. But just like that, a rogue lioness came over and racked her claws across Vitani’s face, causing her to roar in pain! Just as dark red blood began rushing down Vitani’s face and dripping to the ground quickly, another rogue lioness clamped her jaws around her neck as Vitani roared in agony, the lioness kept sinking her teeth deeper into Vitani’s neck! But just as the lioness was going to finish her off, Vitani was able to slam her paw into the lioness’ face, which cause her to let go of Vitani’s neck. Vitani then clamped her jaws around the rogue lioness’ neck, she roared in pain, but all Vitani did was sink her teeth deeper into the lioness’ neck and soon the lioness was dead. So Vitani just dropped the dead lioness out of her mouth.
Vitani then glanced around trying to find where Kiara was, but couldn’t seem to find her, but then Vitani heard a painful roar to her left. So she looked to where it was and saw a lioness attacking Kiara, so she raced over to her as fast as she could.
Meanwhile, before Kiara had time to react, the rogue lioness racked her claws across Kiara’s face. As she roared in pain, dark red blood began rushing down her face and quickly dripping to the ground, but then in a flash, the lioness clamped her jaws around Kiara’s neck and sunk her teeth deep into her neck spilling her blood on the ground! As Kiara roared in agony, the lioness was doing her best so sink her teeth as far into Kiara’s neck as possible so she could kill her faster! But as dark red blood kept on rushing down Kiara’s neck and quickly forming a small puddle of blood, she finally fell to the ground and soon Kiara’s eyes closed and she fell unconscious, but before she could do any more damage, Vitani all of a sudden slammed her paw into the lioness’ face, and she hit the ground hard! As the lioness got up weakly, Vitani sunk her teeth deep into the lioness’ neck and soon, the lioness was dead!
So Vitani dropped the dead lioness and walked towards Kiara, hoping she would be ok. Vitani then noticed how badly her hind leg and right foreleg was injured, so she lowered her ear to Kiara’s mouth to see if she was breathing, she was, but she was badly injured. So she nudged Kiara’s jaw a few times, hoping she would awake, but she didn’t as her eyes remained closed, so Vitani began licking the blood off of Kiara’s wounds, but before she could tell Kovu about this, her eyes slowly closed and soon Vitani fell to the ground and was unconscious next to Kiara.
Soon after they fell unconscious, Kovu’s Pride had actually defeated the rogues, as there was only6 rogue lionesses remaining, but unfortuanately for Kovu’s Pride, the 4 male rogue lions had survived, and that 9 lionesses had died from Kovu’s Pride! But what was even worse, is that both Vitani and Kiara were close to death as they needed help right away.
So the 4 male rogue lions and the 6 female rogue lionesses were chased off. As for Kovu, he began searching for Kiara and his sister but couldn’t find them anywhere. So he got the rest of his Pride and walked into those old caves that were close by in the Outlands, but as soon as he entered the den, he saw Kanaka, Kisha and Nama, both right beside both Kiara and Vitani, who’s eyes were still closed and were in a deep unconsciousness!
So Kovu ran up to Kisha and asked worriedly, “Is Kiara and my sister ok?”
Kisha replied, “I don’t know. Their bleeding pretty badly and the only way for them to heel is that you go to the Pridelands and get some medicine.”
Kovu answered, “Yeah, but most likely I’ll be caught.”
Kisha replied, “Well, use your outlander skills and be really quiet and get the medicine.”
As Kovu nodded, he approached Kiara and nudged her soft neck a few times and surprisingly, she moaned and opened her eyes, but ever so slightly and said, “Kovu, is that you?”
Kovu replied, “Yes, it’s me dear, you’re going to be ok. I just have to go to the Pridelands and get some medicine for you and my sister to heal you up.”
As Kiara put on a weak smile, she said, “I know you can do it Kovu, I have faith in you.”
As Kovu leaned down, Kiara nuzzled him and purred a bit as Kovu nuzzled her deeply back and said, “I love you Kiara, I’ll be back as soon as possible.”
As Kiara nodded, Kovu looked at her neck wound, that was still bleeding. So Kovu closed his eyes for a few seconds, then re-opened them as Kiara said, “It’s ok Kovu, it’s not as painful as you think it is.”
Kovu replied, “Okay, I’ll be back.” Kovu then gave Kiara a quick nuzzle and a lick on the cheek and left.
Kiara then said weakly to Kisha, “I sure hope…he will make it back safe and…sound.”
Kisha replied, “Don’t worry Kiara, he will.
Back to where Kovu was, he’s seen a few Pridelanders around the boarders but they have not yet noticed him. So after about 10 of getting past the Pridelanders, he got to Rafiki’s tree and to his surprise, he wasn’t there. So Kovu then spotted some medicine over to the side of the tree. So he looked in both directions to see if anyone was there, there was not, so he quietly slipped inside the tree and grabbed the medicine and quickly, but carefully took it back to the Outlands.
So once Kovu made it back to the Outlands, he said to himself, “Man, that was close.”
So Kovu continued until he reached the cave where Vitani and Kiara were. So he walked inside the den and walked up to Kiara. Right at the moment, she didn’t seem to be in to much pain, but her neck was still bleeding a little. So Kovu gently dabbed his paw into the medicine and carefully put it on Kiara and Vitani’s wounds.
After he was done, he put it off to the side and walked up to Kiara, who was actually sleeping at the moment and laid down on his belly and licked the side of her cheek and said quietly, “I love you Kiara.”
After that, Kovu sighed and rested his head on his paw and went to sleep. But what they didn’t know, is that there would be some trouble headed their way tomorrow.In the Pridelands, months have passed since the Outlanders, Kiara, Kovu were exiled and since then they haven’t gone back to the Pridelands, though Kovu, Kanaka and Vitani would quietly hunt down some antelope and other animals for them and Kovu’s Pride to eat. Vitani and Kovu also have helped train Kiara to be a better hunter and fighter, just in case trouble came. Nama also had grown into a beautiful young lioness and was trained by her mother to be a good hunter and capable fighter as well.
Simba and Nala on the other hand were getting lonely without Kiara and figured Kiara wouldn’t come back, so they thought about having another cub to be the heir and his name would be Nimba. Nimba had light tan fur, hazel eyes and a pure whit underbelly.
So, just as the Presentation ended, Kovu was at the boarders of the Pridelands/Outlands watching as it ended, then said to himself, “Oh no, Kiara won’t like this one bit.”
So Kovu raced back to the Outlands to tell Kiara the news about the new cub Nala and Simba had.
As Kiara was talking with Vitani, Kovu ran up to Kiara and said, “Kiara, I have some bad news.”
Kiara asked, “What is it?”
Kovu answered, “It’s your parents, they just had a son named Nimba to be their heir because I guess they figured you would never come back.”
Kiara then started boiling with anger and practically yelled, “What?! They had another son?”
Nama then walked up and asked, “What’s wrong Kiara?”
Kiara calmed down a little and replied, “It’s my parents, they replaced me with another cub.”
Nama replied, “Oh, I’m sorry Kiara, I didn’t mean to ask you that.”
Kiara answered, “It’s ok, you didn’t know.”
As Nama nodded, she started walking back to where her mother was, while Kiara told Kovu angrily, “I’m going to go to the Pridelands and have a little talk with them, maybe teach them a lesson or two.”
Vitani then said, “But Kiara, we were exiled remember. We can’t go back.”
Kiara replied, “Oh don’t worry Vitani, they won’t hurt me because they’re my parents.”
Kovu then said, “Wait, I’m coming with you.”
Vitani said, “Me to.”
Kiara replied, “Fine, but let’s hurry.”
As they both nodded, they went ahead into the Pridelands. Meanwhile, in the Pridelands, everyone was gone now.
At the tip of Pride Rock, Zazu spotted two lionesses and a male lion walking towards them, so he flew inside the den and said to Simba, “Sire, I’ve spotted two lionesses and a male lion coming this way, it looks like it’s Kiara, Kovu and Vitani."
Nala’s ears then perked up and asked, “Kiara, she’s coming back?”
Zazu replied, “I’m not so sure about that Nala, she doesn’t look very happy.”
Nala replied, “Oh, I think I know why.”
Simba butted in and said, “This can’t be good. That Kovu probably watched then told Kiara about the presentation, come on."
So Nala told her mother and a Pridelander to watch Nimba for her, they nodded and soon Simba, Nala and Zazu sped out of the den and went to meet Kiara., hoping she won’t take it the wrong way.
So, as Simba, Nala and Zazu were arriving, Kovu said, “Kiara, look your parents are coming.”
Kiara replied, “I see.”
So once they met, Kiara asked Simba with a very angry tone, “So, Simba, did you happen to have another cub recently?”
Simba answered, shocked that she called him Simba instead of saying dad, “Why did you call me Simba, I’m your father you don’t have to call me by my name?”
Kiara answered angrily, “I can call you what I want to, besides, if you were my dad, you wouldn’t have had another cub to replace me.”
Simba replied, “Hunny, we are not replacing you…”
Kiara interrupted and said, “Yes you are, and you know it, so don’t you lie to me and don’t call me hunny! You exiled me remember!”
Simba replied, “Hunny, calm down, we…”
But Simba couldn’t finish as Kiara jumped and pinned Simba beneath her paws and said angrily, “What did I tell you, I told you to not call me that. What kind of father are you anyway, exiling his own daughter and her mate?”
As Nala was about to help Simba, Zazu touched her foreleg and said, “I think it’s best if you let him handle it.”
As Kiara heard that, she said, “Yeah, that’s right mom, listen to the dodo bird.”
As Kiara was going to say something else, Simba asked, “Kiara, what happened to your face and neck?”
Kiara looked back down at Simba and said, “It’s from a war we had awhile back, we were attacked the day we were exiled and therefore I got these 3 scars on my face and a scar on my neck, and what did you do, nothing. You just stood there and didn’t do anything about it.”
As Kiara was talking to Simba, a Pridelander saw Kiara on top of Simba, though she didn’t know it was Kiara, so she growled and ran towards Kiara and said, “You will never hurt my king!”
Just like that, she extended her claws and before Kiara could react, the Pridelander racked her claws across her neck. As Kiara roared in pain, dark red blood began rushing down Kiara’s neck and quickly began dripping to the ground. As Kiara staggered back allowing Simba to get up, Kovu roared and jumped at the Pridelander and pinned her beneath his paw!
Kovu then said angrily, “Don’t you ever hurt my mate again, do you understand that?”
As the lioness nodded, full of fear, Kiara then said as she took her paw off her neck and saw a lot of blood on her paw, “So, now you want to fight huh? You going to try to kill me?”
As Kiara said that, Nala was to shocked to even move, so Simba asked, “Kiara, are you ok?”
Kiara, full of anger, replied, “Get away from me, like you even care. Why do you want to know if I’m okay or not?”
Simba replied, “Because, I’m your father…”
Kiara interrupted and said, “No you’re not, that little fur ball is!”
Vitani then walked towards Kiara and asked, “Kiara, are you ok?”
Kiara replied, “Yes, I’m fine. Thanks for your concern though.”
Vitani smiled and replied, “You’re welcome.”
Kiara then turned towards the lioness that Kovu had pinned to the ground and said, “Don’t you ever lay a claw on me again, because if you do, you’ll wish you were never even born.
Kiara then nudged Kovu on the side of his stomach and said, “Let’s go. I have other things to do.”
As Kovu nodded, her growled dangerously at the lioness then got off her and left with Kiara and Vitani.
As Nala saw them leave, she yelled, “Kiara wait, come back.”
But Kiara kept on walking and soon they disappeared. Simba then help the Pridelander up and the three walked back sadly, especially Nala. She felt just horrible without her and wished she would come back and stay.
Meanwhile, as soon as Vitani, Kiara and Kovu got back to the Outlands, Kovu got some medicine that way laying against the den wall and started putting it on Kiara’s neck wound.
Kovu then asked, “Are you ok Kiara?
Kiara smiled warmly and replied, “Yes, I’m ok.”
As soon as he got done, he put some medicine in a leaf and wrapped it around Kiara’s neck wound. Kovu then smiled and nuzzled Kiara’s soft neck as Kiara nuzzled him back and she even started purring a little to.
Kovu then said while still nuzzling Kiara, “I love you Kiara.”
As Kiara was to still nuzzling Kovu, she replied with a giggle, “I love you to Kovu, very much.”
As soon as they were done nuzzling each other, they smiled at each other and decided to take a short nap together. Vitani smiled at the two and decided to take a nap to.
But what they didn’t know is that something was going to happen later that day and it wouldn’t be nice at all.
Time has passed in the Pridelands and Nimba is now an young adult. Kiara on the other hand has not returned since the encounter with Simba awhile back, yet.
Anyway, back in the Outlands, Kiara said to Kovu, “I’m going to go and hunt and get us some food, okay.”
Kovu replied, “Okay, but be careful.”
Kiara answered, “I will.”
So Kiara quietly entered the Pridelands and saw that no one was around, so she scanned the area until she found a lone antelope.
So Kiara said to herself quietly, “Hmm, I wonder why that antelope is all alone. Oh well, it will make it much easier to catch then.”
So Kiara crouched down in the long grasses and quietly approached it, but what she didn’t know is that Nimba was close by. But just like that, Kiara jumped out from her hiding spot and ran towards the lone antelope. The antelope then panicked and started running for it’s life, but Kiara was hot on his heals and with one big leap, she landed on the antelope and immediately sunk her teeth into the flank of it’s neck. As the antelope started squealing in pain, Nimba nearby heard it and turned his head towards the squeal and soon found a lioness on top of it, trying to kill it as fast as possible.
Nimba then said to himself, “That must be a rogue trespassing in the Pridelands, I better do something about it. Oh mom and dad will be so proud of me when they know I found a rogue lioness trespassing in these lands.”
Back to where Kiara was, she finally was able to kill it, but didn’t know that Nimba was creeping up behind her.
So once Kiara killed the antelope, she licked it’s sweet blood of her muzzle and then said to herself, “I better get this antelope back to the Outlands before someone discovers that I’m in the Pridelands.”
But once Kiara finished, she heard a snap behind her and immediately her ears perked up and swiftly turned around, but didn’t see anyone.
So once Kiara turned back around, Nimba said to himself, “Phew, I thought I was going to be in trouble. Anyway, I better knock her unconscious and bring her to dad, he’ll be so proud of me.”
So Nimba quietly got closer and all of a sudden, he leapt out of the grass, catching Kiara off guard and tackled her to the ground and pinned her.
He then snarled and asked angrily, “Who are you and why are you trespassing rogue?”
At the moment Kiara heard that, she snarled and got her hind legs free and kicked him in the stomach and Nimba landed hard on the ground, but got right back up and as Kiara leapt at him, he moved out of the way, causing Kiara to miss him. But as soon as she turned around, Nimba sunk his large teeth deep into Kiara’s neck. Kiara roared in pain as Nimba quickly began spilling Kiara’s blood fast as he kept sinking his teeth deeper into Kiara’s neck, but somehow, she was able to throw him off her neck but Nimba got right back up and racked his claws across Kiara’s face! As Kiara yelped in pain, dark red blood began rushing down her face and quickly dripped to the ground, but Kiara didn’t let that slow her down and she quickly recovered and slammed her paw into his face and Nimba hit the ground hard.
So before Nimba was able to get up, Kiara quickly jumped and pinned him to the ground tightly. Kiara then replied angrily, “If you want to know so bad, fine. My name is Kiara, the former princess of the Pridelands! You happy now?”
Nimba then asked, “Kiara, the Princess of the Pridelands? How can that be?”
As blood kept on rushing down Kiara’s neck, she replied while wincing in pain, “Yes, now if you’ll excuse me, I need to bring back that dead antelope I caught before you attacked me!”
Nimba replied, “Well sorry, it’s not my fault that I didn’t know who you were in the first place.”
As Kiara just ignored him, Kiara picked up the dead antelope in her mouth and left. So, as Kiara was carrying the dead antelope back to the Outlands, she heard a snap and quickly dropped the antelope and turned around but before she could react, she was sent sprawling into a rock hard! She then looked dazely up at the huge lion then right after that, Kiara’s eyes closed and fell unconscious.
So after Kiara left, Simba arrived about 20 min. later and asked his son, “Nimba, are you ok? What happened?”
Nimba replied, “Oh, I just saw a lioness trespassing in the Pridelands, so I tried to stop her but she got away.”
But before Simba could answer, he saw an amazingly huge lion appear in front of them dragging the neck what looked like a dead lioness and after he stopped in front of them and then dropped the lioness on the ground and said, “Well, well, well, if it isn’t Simba who exiled his own daughter.”
Simba’s eyes widened in fear as he realized who the lioness was, it was Kiara laying on her side motionless. He then hurried over to her worried sick, but then turned to the lion who did this and asked angrily, “Who are you and what did you do to my daughter?”
Krooger then smiled evilly and answered, “You mean your exiled daughter. But seeing how you exiled your own daughter, technically it wasn’t against your rules that I did this. Oh, and my name is Krooger.”
But before Krooger could react or Simba could reply, Kovu jumped at Krooger and tackled him to the ground and pinned him. Kovu then said while snarling angrily at him, “How dare you do this to my mate, you will pay for what you did to her.”
Krooger then smiled evilly and replied, “Oh, but before you do that, you might want to look what Simba is doing first. He taking your mate back to Pride Rock.”
Kovu then looked up and gasped then said, “What?”
But while Kovu wasn’t looking, Krooger racked his claws across his face, then kicked Kovu in the stomach and he went sprawling across the ground.
As Kovu was groaning in pain, Krooger got up and just smiled evilly at him, then said, “You might want to hurry before Simba gets back to Pride Rock with Kiara. But until then, bye-bye for now.” He then raced off and disappeared in the shadows.
Kovu slowly got up, still groaning in pain and then looked up and saw Simba nearing Pride Rock with his mate on his back. Kovu snarled angrily and said, “Oh no you don’t Simba.” Kovu then raced off after Simba to get Kiara back.
Moments later, as Simba was getting closer to Pride Rock, Kovu jumped in front of Simba, blocking him and said while snarling angrily, “You better give Kiara back or you will regret for taking her away from me!”
Simba replied while growling, “I exiled you and you were not to return ever again, but since you did, I might as well give you your death sentence and kill you myself!”
So Simba gently laid Kiara down and told Nimba to take her to Rafiki’s tree. As Nimba nodded, Kovu and Simba started circling each other and at that moment, Simba lunged at Kovu but Kovu was to quick as Simba hit the ground hard.
Kovu then chuckled and said, “Is that the best you can do Simba? You don’t have what it takes to defeat me. You made a very big mistake you know that.”
As Simba replied, “No, you’ll regret coming back after I’m finished with you.”
Kovu then quickly turned to see how far Nimba was away with Kiara, he wasn’t that far, so Kovu turned back to face Simba. Simba then lunged himself at Kovu, this time tackling him to the ground, but Kovu easily kicked Simba off him! Kovu then quickly got back on all four paws and racked his claws across Simba’s face! As Simba roared in pain, Kovu lunged at his neck but ended up missing as it gave Simba an edge to attack back.
So Simba lunged himself at Kovu’s neck and ended up clamping his jaws around his neck and began spilling Kovu’s blood quickly. As Simba began sinking his teeth deeper into Kovu’s neck, he roared in pain as dark red blood kept rushing down Kovu’s neck and quickly began dripping onto the hard surface!
Then somehow, Kovu threw Simba off his neck and tackled Simba to the ground and pinned him and said, “You’re pathetic Simba, you had me by the neck and you still couldn’t kill me! Now you’ll get what you deserve.”
So all of a sudden, Kovu began choking Simba, so Simba began digging his claws into Kovu’s forelegs, but Kovu just kept choking him harder. As Simba’s vision began to get blurry, his life flashed back to when he was a cub and growing up with Nala, then becoming King and having Kiara. Then Kiara met Kovu when they were older and the Outlanders joining the Pridelanders and now his life was about to end.
Simba began getting weaker and soon enough Simba’s eyes closed and went limp. Kovu then got off him and checked to see if Simba was still alive, but he wasn’t breathing, he had choked Simba until he died.
Kovu then backed away and realized what he just did, he killed the King of the Pridelands and now the Pridelanders would find out about his death and go and kill him and the rest of the Outsiders, including Vitani.
Kovu then gasped and then ran off in the direction of Rafiki’s tree to bring back Kiara. As soon as he caught up with Nimba, he rammed into him, causing him to fall and Kiara. Kovu then quickly raced to Kiara and quickly but as gently as possible picked up Kiara up and raced off. As soon as Nimba got up, Kovu was gone, so Nimba ran back to Pride Rock to tell but on his way back, he saw something laying on the ground motionless.
He then approached it quickly and realized that it was his father. As tears formed in his eyes, he checked his breathing but found none, his father was dead, Kovu had killed him. But soon Nimba’s sadness turned into fury, so he ran off to tell the Pridelanders and Nala about Kovu killing his father and Kovu stealing Kiara away again.
Meanwhile, Kovu arrived back with Kiara and quickly ran into the den and laid Kiara down as gently as possible. As soon as Kovu began licking Kiara’s wounds, Vitani appeared behind him and asked, “Kovu, are you okay?”
Kovu replied, “Yes, I’m fine Vitani, the wounds aren’t that bad.”
Vitani then answered, “No you’re not, here, let me put some medicine on your and Kiara’s wounds.”
Kovu replied, “Okay, thanks Vitani.”
Vitani replied back, “No problem brother.”
As Kovu smiled, Vitani finished putting the medicine on Kiara’s and his wounds.
As soon as Vitani was about to say something, Nama came rushing in the den and said, “King Kovu, I saw the Pridelanders heading this way, they look very angry to.”
Kovu replied, “Okay, thanks Nama. I’ll go and inform the others. Kisha, Nama and Vitani, I want you to guard Kiara, don’t allow them to take her away again, okay please.”
As the all nodded, Vitani said to Kovu, “We won’t allow them to even lay a paw on her, right girls?”
Both Kisha and Nama replied, “Right.”
Kovu smiled and gave Vitani a quick nuzzle and ran off to inform the others! But as soon as he informed everyone, his worst fear became true, the Pridelanders and Nala appeared right in front of him, ready to get revenge on him.
As soon as Kovu’s Pride showed up behind him, Kovu’s eyes widened in fear and said to himself in fear, “Oh no.”So as soon as the Pridelanders arrived with Nala leading the way, Kovu called his Pride up and they lined up beside Kovu while Vitani, Kisha and Nama guarded Kiara.
So as the Pridelanders were about to attack, Kovu said to Nala, “Nala, please, let me explain.”
Nala replied angrily, “No, you killed Simba according to what Nimba said, and so even though he was really stubborn, I loved him a lot. He was everything to me.”
Kovu then growled silently and said, “Nimba. You little rat, I will make you pay for this.”
Kovu continued, “But Nala, think about this, he Kiara and…”
But Nala interrupted him and said, “Enough Kovu! ATTACK!!”
"But before Kovu's Pride had time to react, the Pridelanders were on them in a flash! Both sides began clawing and biting. Nikisha jumped at an Outsider and sunk her teeth deep into her neck. The Outsider snarled in pain, but Nikisha jerked her head and spat out a large chunk of her flesh. Slowly but surely, the Outsider died.".
As the battle continued, Kovu realized that his pride was succumbing to the Pride Landers. Before Kovu had time to attempt to turn the tide of battle, Nala bashed his head so forcefully that his entire body slammed against the den wall.
So, as Kovu got up slowly, he swiftly turned his head over to Nala, causing some drops of Blood to fly through the air! Almost all of the left side of Kovu’s face was covered in blood, so as he faced Nala, he spit out a lot of blood out of his mouth as blood continued flowing slowly out of his mouth!
He then said angrily, “Nala, will you just end this madness, look at what you’re doing, your Pride is also dying because of your selfishness, why do you do it?”
Nala replied, “Because, it’s for the best. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got to take my daughter home.”
Kovu replied angrily, “No, I will not allow you to take her away again!”
Nala answered threateningly, “Move Kovu, now!”
But before Kovu could answer, Krooger quietly walked towards the den where Vitani and the others were guarding Kiara. Out of nowhere, Krooger attacked Vitani as she was keeping guard. The two were clawing and biting each other's flesh, growling and snarling in anger. Moments later, as the dust started to settle, Krooger stood victorious over Vitani's lifeless body, her dark red blood staining the ground beneath her.
So, as Krooger stepped on and walked over Vitani’s lifeless body, he said evilly to Kisha and Nama, “Now it’s your turn.”
Kisha then said, “Nama get behind me.”
As Nama quickly ran behind her mother, Krooger grinned evilly and said, “You’re so weak, just like Vitani. Now, after I’m through with you, I will kill Kiara and Kovu, then bring my pride and destroy the other Pridelanders.”
As Kisha snarled, she leapt at him but Krooger was to quick as he dodged her attack, and as soon as she turned around, Krooger racked his claws across her face and all of a sudden his claws ripped through the tissue right above her right eye.
As Kisha screamed in pain as blood just kept rushing down her face really fast and dripping to the ground and saying, “Ahhh, I can’t see, I can’t see!” The pain became unbeariable and immediately fell unconscious, next to Vitani’s motionless body immediately!
As Kisha seemed to appear to be dead, Krooger said, “You Pridelanders seem to be so weak.”
Krooger then saw Nama run over to Kisha and Vitani, but then said to himself, “Now’s my chance to Kill Kiara.”
So, as Kiara heard Krooger approach, she gasped and was about to call for help, but Krooger put his paw over her mouth and all of a sudden, Krooger sunk his teeth deep into her neck. As Kiara began gasping for air, Blood began flowing out of her mouth and as Krooger kept sinking his teeth deeper into Kiara’s neck, a Pridelander outside the den saw him killing Kiara so she raced to the den and leapt at Krooger, catching him off guard.
So, the Pridelander then sunk her teeth into Kroogers neck, as he roared in pain, but Krooger threw her off him and the Pridelander smashed right into the cave wall, nearly causing her to fall unconscious.
As Krooger put his paw on his neck and took it off, he saw a lot of dark red blood on his paw, so he walked over to the Pridelander and leaned down and said in her face, “Fine, you win this time, but I’ll be back!”
The Pridelander yelled back, “Don’t you ever touch Kiara again, or I’ll make sure you die!”
But Krooger just ignored it and ran away.
So, as the Pridelander got up, she walked over to Kiara, who was unconscious with her eyes closed. So she nudged Kiara’s jaw a few times and finally, Kiara moaned a bit and opened her eyes and said, “Uh, what happened.”
The Pridelander answered, “You were attacked by a big male lion, but I chased him off for you.”
Kiara then asked weakly, her neck still bleeding a bit, “I forget, who are you?”
The Pridelander answered, “I’m Zuri Kiara, remember me now?”
Zuri was a little bit younger than Kiara, she grew up in the Pridelands. Zuri was an very kind lioness and was a beautiful young lioness to. Zuri had light-tanish fur, blue eyes and a pure white underbelly. She was an excellent huntress and fighter, very strong too.
Kiara replied, “Zuri? I think I remember.”
As Zuri smiled as she leaned down and nuzzled Kiara affectionately then licked her on the cheek and said, “Don’t worry Kiara my princess, you’ll be okay.”
Kiara smiled a little then asked, “What about Vitani, Kisha and Nama? Are they okay?”
"I don't know, I'll check," Zuri replied.
But just then, she saw Kovu come in, also seeing that blood is flowing out of his mouth slowly and asked, “Kovu, are you okay?”
“Yes, I suppose," Kovu replied, a little irritated. "Three Pridelanders just attacked me, but thankfully they didn’t kill me.”
“What happened to them? Did you kill them?”
“No, they're not badly injured, their just unconscious.”
“Oh, okay,” she replied.
Kovu then looked around and gasped when he saw Vitani laying on her side motionless. He quickly approached her and nudged her a bit, but no movement. So he checked her breathing to see if she was alive, thankfully she was, but needed some help immediately.
So, while Kovu was trying to wake Vitani, Zuri approached Kisha and saw that she was terribly injured in the face. So she rubbed the top of her head and she ended up moaning a bit. Kisha tried opening her eyes, but found that she couldn’t because she was in to much pain.
Kisha then replied weakly, “Zuri, I can’t see! My eye is hurting to much. Ahh, it hurts!”
Zuri then said to Kisha, “It’s okay, don’t worry. You have a nasty wound right above your right eye.”
As Zuri saw that she was still bleeding at a very good pace still above her right eye, she started licking the blood off as gently as possible and as she was doing it, Kisha of coarse squeeled in pain and saying, “Zuri, it hurts to much, I can’t see.”
Zuri answered, “It’s okay, you’ll be able to see in no time, okay.”
As Kisha nodded her head painfully, Nama came over to comfort her mother. Kovu then walked towards Kiara and immediately nuzzled her deeply and said, “Oh Kiara, I’m so glad you are ok.”
Kiara smiled weakly as she nuzzled Kovu back, but she needed some rest though and some medicine. So Kovu said to Kiara, “Hey Kiara, I think you should rest some more, okay.”
As Kiara replied, “Okay, thanks Kovu.”
As Kovu smiled back, he started putting some medicine on her wounds and after he was done, he brought Vitani and laid her down next to Kiara gently and put some medicine on her wounds.
Zuri then helped Kisha up and told Nama and her to go and rest in the back of the den to get some rest and put some medicine on that devastating wound right above Kisha’s eye.
Zuri then approached Kovu and said, "Well, how about I stay for a couple of days and help you guys recover, okay. Plus, you need some medicine on your wounds to, they don’t look so good.”
Kovu replied, “I’m fine.”
Zuri replied, “No you’re not, here, let me put some of this medicine on your wounds for you.” So, as Kovu smiled a little, Zuri put some medicine on his more serious wounds.
So, after she was done, she said, “There you go, all done.”
Kovu replied, “Thanks, but just to let you know, Nala and the others have already left and have taken the wounded Pridelanders along with them, you sure you want to stay?”
Zuri giggled a little then said, “Yes, I’m sure.”
As Kovu smiled back, Zuri did the same thing. Kovu began thinking, “Man, she looks so beautiful. Her beautiful blue eyes, her tanish fur and especially her smile.” Zuri was an very attractive young lioness to, so he asked, “Well, do you want to go on a short walk together while the others rest?”
Zuri smiled and said, “Sure, okay.”
So Zuri and Kovu went on actually a longer walk than they thought. So as soon as they got back, Zuri said, “Well, I had a great time walking and talking with you, we should do it more often.”
Kovu replied, “Yeah, we should shouldn’t we.”
As Zuri smiled, Kovu did the same thing and they both ended up nuzzling each other, but just as they did that, Kiara opened her eyes and couldn’t believe what they were doing, so she began thinking, “Is Kovu cheating on me? No, that can’t be, he wouldn’t do that to me. He loves me to much to do that to me…or could he?”
So, just as Kovu was going to lay down next to Kiara, Zuri asked, “Kovu, do you want to sleep with me, I get kind of lonely sometimes?”
Kovu replied, “Okay, I guess.”
Zuri then said, “Don’t worry Kovu, Kiara will be fine, I’m sure she wouldn’t mind this at least once.”
Kovu said nervously as he followed Zuri to the corner of the cave, “I guess.”
And then Kiara couldn’t believe what she saw next, then she started to fell a bit angry, so she said to herself after Zuri and Kovu laid down to go to sleep, “Oh yes I do mind, I’ll have a talk with you two tomorrow.”
So Kiara rested her head back down on her paw and slowly fell asleep.
It was early morning out in the Outlands as Zuri just awoke. Seeing that everyone’s still sleeping, she walk towards Kovu, and nudged him a bit to wake him up.
And soon enough, he moaned and opened his eyes and asked, “Zuri, it’s still early, go back to sleep.”
Zuri just rolled her eyes and nudged him, this time a little harder as Kovu said, “Fine, what do you want?”
Zuri then smiled and said, “Well, I was wondering if you would like to take a morning walk with me?”
Kovu argued and said, “Can’t it wait till later?”
Zuri replied, “No, because everyone will already be awake. Please.
Kovu answered, “I…fine. A short one, then I’m headed back to sleep.
Zuri replied with a smile, “Okay.”
So, as soon as they were departing, Kiara opened her eyes and said to herself, “What are you doing now?”
So, even though Kiara was a bit sore, she got up and began following them and said to herself, “Okay, let’s see what you’re up to Zuri and Kovu.”
So, Kiara began following them, keeping a good distance between her and Kovu and Zuri.
Back to where Zuri and Kovu were, Zuri asked, “So, um, how are things with you and Kiara?”
Kovu answered, “Fine, I guess. Though it didn’t seem right not sleeping with Kiara last night, I wonder if she knew that I slept with you.”
Zuri replied, “Don’t worry Kovu, I’m sure she didn’t and if she did, then who cares, right? As long as you’re happy with what you’re doing, everything’s fine, right?”
Back to where Kiara was, Kiara heard what Zuri said and growled a bit and saying, “Oh, you are going to be sorry you ever nuzzled Kovu and trying to steal him away from me.” So, Kiara growled louder as Kovu and Zuri heard that, they came to a complete stop.
Kovu then asked, “What was that?”
Zuri answered, “I don’t know. Let me check it out.”
So, as Kovu nodded, she began getting closer to where Kiara was, then suddenly Kiara said in a dark voice, “What do you think you’re doing…Zuri?”
Zuri then answered, not knowing who it was yet, “Who are you, what do you want?”
Kiara replied, “What do I want, I want you to stay away from Kovu. He is not your mate, he’s mine.”
So, Kiara slowly came into Zuri’s view as Zuri answered, grinning towards Kovu, “No, Kovu whispered to me last night that he was attracted to me and that he doesn’t want to be with you because you get to hurt almost everyday.”
Kiara narrowed her eyes and said, “You’re lying, he never said that. I was totally aware and awake last night that you convinced him to sleep with you and not me when I was still injured.”
Back to where Kovu was, he wasn’t hearing their conversation, so he got closer so he could hear them and leaned down and hid himself in the dead grass.
Zuri replied, “I did not convince him, he made that decision. He could have denied it, but he slept with me instead.”
Kiara replied, “Did he now and why…”
As Kiara looked to where Kovu was, she asked, “Where is Kovu?”
She then looked back, but she couldn’t see or sense where she went.
Kiara then said whispered angrily to herself, “Oh, you are going to pay for this Zuri, count on it.”
So, Kiara began looking around to try to find them, but they were nowhere in sight. So just as she turned around, she saw a pack of hyenas right in front of her.
Kiara then began thinking about an logical excuse so she could get away from the hyenas, Kiara then said frightenly, “Uh, heh, I think I hear someone calling my name, I’ll just be going now.”
She then saw a hyena appear in front of her and said, “I don’t think so, we are not letting you go right now.”
Kiara then focused harder on the hyena and realized who it was, she then said, “Aren’t you Banzai?”
Banzai smiled evilly and replied, “Why yes, and your name must be Kiara. Princess Kiara of the Pridelands, am I right?”
Kiara then said partially because she didn’t live in the Pridelands anymore, so she replied, “You mean ex-princess of the Pridelands. I was exiled a long time ago along with Kovu and the other Former Outlanders.”
Banzai then said, “Ah, well that makes it even better, that means we’re not trespassing and we are allowed to kill you then.”
Kiara then hesitantly hit Banzai in the face and raced off towards the den, but before she could go even 5 feet, she was tripped and stumbled to the ground.
Kiara then looked up and saw the hyenas surrounding her, so she asked, terrified, “What do you want from me?”
Banzai answered, “Dead. We’re going to ambush you and kill you, then find the rest of the Pride and kill them along with Kovu.”
As Kiara’s eyes widened in fear, Banzai ordered his hyenas, “Attack!”
So they began ambushing Kiara, clawing and sinking their exposed fangs into her flesh. And moments later, Banzai had his fangs sink into Kiara’s neck and threw her hard into a sharp pointy rock and Kiara lay motionless with her body soaked in blood.
As Banzai walked towards her lifeless body, he whispered in her ear, “That was to easy. If it’s that easy to take you down, we should have all the others dead in no time.”
So, as her head rested on the blood stained rock, Kiara seemed quite dead, so he laughed coldly and turned around and left with his pack of hyenas, leaving the bloody body of Kiara behind.
As they continued on, Kovu appeared in front of Banzai and asked angrily, “Where’s Kiara? What did you do to her?”
Banzai answered, “She’s dead. We ambushed her, but since you’re hear, I guess we will ambush you to.”
But before Kovu could react, the hyenas attacked and began biting and clawing at Kovu’s flesh and soon enough, Banzai sunk his teeth deep into Kovu’s neck and threw his lifeless body into another sharp pointy rock and he lay motionless.
Banzai then said, “Priceless, that’s just pathetic Kovu.”
So he walked up to Kovu’s lifeless body, Kovu also seemed quite dead as his head lay on a bloodied up rock. Banzai then just laughed coldly as he turned around and advanced toward the Outlanders, ready to kill anybody that stands in their path!
So, after the hyenas ambushed Kiara and Kovu, they had moved on towards the Outlands to kill the rest of the former Outlander lionesses, but fortunately, Vitani and the rest of the Outlanders were already prepared for the fight! The lionesses eventually defeated off the hyenas but as soon as Banzai noticed they were loosing and that they were outnumbered, Banzai had called his hyenas to retreat and so they did but Banzai promised he would be back to kill Vitani and the rest of the lionesses off.
So, as the afternoon wore on and it soon turned into evening, Vitani and others finally found him, Vitani, being his sister was the most worried of them all, started to try and wake him up. And sure enough, after 5 minutes of trying to wake him up, Kovu finally moaned a little bit. As Vitani sighed in relief, she ordered 3 lionesses to carry Kovu back while they look for Kiara.
After awhile of looking for Kiara, they were unable to find her so they finally decided to call it a night since they couldn’t find her.
So, as soon as they got back to the den, night fell and as Kovu awoke, Kovu felt so weak, his wounds hurt terribly and he could barely move but as soon as he remembered Kiara being hurt, Kovu then asked Vitani weakly, “Vitani, where’s Kiara? I need to see her.”
Vitani then replied sadly, “I’m sorry, but we could not find her. The hyenas…must have…killed her. I’m terribly sorry.”
As soon as Kovu heard that, his eyes widened as he replied, “Well then keep looking for her. You never know, she might still be alive Vitani!”
But as Vitani was about to reply, Zuri butted in and answered, “But Kovu, it’s highly unlikely she’s alive. She most likely to be dead and…”
But Kovu did not allow her to go on as Kovu responded with rage, “NO! This is entirely al your fault! You’re the one who caused this, and you don’t even care if she’s dead or not. She’s my one and only love I have and I will never be your mate, no matter how hard you try to steal me away from her, I will not give in, Never!”
Kovu continued, “I am going out there right now to find her, and none of you are going to stop me! I don’t care how much I’m injured; all I’m worried for is Kiara and her safety. If she were to die on me, I would never forgive myself. She the one and only lioness who ever cared for me. For even when mother was raising me to hate the Pridelanders and to kill Simba, she never gave up on me! She taught me how to love, care for others, and she even taught me what fun was. I’m going out there to find her and I will not return until I do.
And with that, Kovu got up and went to search for Kiara, leaving a shocked Vitani and Zuri!
So, after about 30 minutes of searching for Kiara, he was able to sense something not to far away. It smelled like blood, so he raced to where the scent was and sure enough, he found Kiara laying on her side with her head resting on a blood stained rock. So he quickly approached her the best he could and nudged her a bit, but found that there was no movement.
As tears began forming in Kovu’s eyes, he leaned down and licked her on the cheek but still, Kiara’s eyes remained closed without a single movement. He then said with tears in his eyes, “Kiara dear, please wake up. Come on, please wake up.”
Kovu then fell to his stomach and shoved his face into Kiara’s fur and said with tears in his eyes, “Kiara, you…can’t do this to me. I feel so helpless and week right now, please wake up.”
But as Kiara didn’t move, he said to himself, “I was to late, she’s dead because of me. If I had came to you earlier, you would probably be alive, but you’re not. Kiara, please forgive me for not being with you when you could have really used some help. I love you with all my heart. We are one, remember that.”
So, Kovu lifted her paw up, he laid down next to her and let her paw rest on his back. But what really surprised him; he heard some breathing from her mouth. So he nudged Kiara’s soft neck a few times, and then he heard her moaning a bit! Kiara was alive!
So Kovu said, “Kiara hunny, can you hear me?”
Kiara then moaned again and asked weakly, though her eyes were still closed, “Kovu, is that you?”
Kovu replied with a weak smile, “Yes dear, it’s me. I’m so glad you’re still alive.”
Kiara answered weakly with her eyes still closed, “Thanks…I’m so glad to…hear your sweet voice again.”
Kovu answered, “So am I. Can you open your eyes dear?”
Kiara tried, but found she was to weak to do so, so she answered with her eyes closed, “No, I can’t…my head hurts to much…and I feel so…weak. My whole body hurts to much. I can even…taste my own…blood, I can’t breath.”
Kovu answered, “Alright hunny, well don’t talk anymore okay. What you need now is some rest, okay?”
As Kiara nodded her head, Kovu said, “Alright, I’m going to take you back to our den and give you some medicine so you can rest some more, okay.”
Kiara replied weakly with her eyes still closed, “Okay.”
So Kovu as gently as possible, picked Kiara up and carried her carefully back to the den. So, as soon as the got back, everyone was relieved that Kiara was okay, though Zuri only faked it.
Nama then walked over to Kiara and asked, “Princess Kiara, are you okay?”
Kiara smiled weakly and replied, “Yes, I’ll be fine. Thanks for your concern Nama.”
As Nama nodded with a small smile, she walked back over to Kisha, her mother and laid down next to her. So Kovu, got some medicine and started putting it on Kiara’s wounds and once he was finished, Kovu said, “There you go, you’re going to be just fine dear.”
Kiara smiled weakly and replied, “Thanks dear.”
Kovu then smiled as Kiara nuzzled him affectionately and Kovu did the same, and Kiara even started purring a bit. So Kovu smiled and laid down next to her and said, “Goodnight hunny.”
Kiara replied back, “Goodnight dear.”
Then the two went to sleep along with the others and they had a peaceful night.A few days have passed since the hyenas attacked Kiara and Kovu. After much needed rest and medicine Kiara was back on her paws with Kovu's care and support. Even though Kiara had one huge scar on her right foreleg that went from her lower shoulder-blade half way down her foreleg, everything was going just fine for Kiara.
On the fourth morning, Kovu had just gotten up bright and early. So he got up and stretched his legs and body and yawned, revealing his dangerously sharp teeth. He then looked beside him and saw Kiara still sleeping peacefully, so he smiled lovingly down at her.
He looked around the den and saw everyone still sleeping, so he leaned down and nudged Kiara’s cheek gently. As Kiara moaned a bit, she yawned also revealing her sharp teeth and opened her eyes and smiled and asked, “What is it Kovu?”
Kovu asked, “Would you like to go on a morning walk with me before everyone awakes?”
Kiara smiled then replied, “Sure, why not. How can I say no to the most handsome lion I’ve met.”
Kovu chuckled a bit then answered, “I don’t know, but have I told you earlier that you are the most beautiful and loving lioness I’ve ever met.”
After Kovu said that, Kiara blushed a little bit, then replied, “Oh stop it.”
Kovu asked, “Why, it’s a true fact. 100 percent true.”
As they were talking, Zuri was awake the whole time they were doing this and she was disgusted of it, so she said quietly to herself, “You’re two are so disgusting to me, especially you Kiara. You just wait, I’m going to come up with another plan and I’ll be sure to take Kovu away from you.”
As Zuri pretended to be asleep, Kiara said to Kovu, “Alright, let’s go on a quick morning walk. I’m thirsty to.”
“Okay dear, let’s get something to drink.”
“Okay.”
So, as they continued walking to the waterhole, Kiara asked, “Hey Kovu, I’ve been getting suspicious of Zuri. I wonder what’s happened to her. I mean, when we were cubs, we got along just fine and now, she’s totally different, I don’t know why.”
Kovu replied, “Yeah, I am to, but whatever it is, I’m sure it won’t last long.”
Kiara asked, “You really think so?”
Kovu replied, “Of course dear.”
As they both stopped, they both nuzzled each other affectionately as Kovu licked Kiara’s cheek and said, “I love you dear.”
Kiara giggled and replied, “So do I Kovu.”
So, as they finally reached a little watering hole, Kiara’s ear twitched all of a sudden as Kovu noticed it and asked, “What is it Kiara?
Kiara narrowed her eyes then said, “I don’t know, but I feel like someone’s watching us but I don’t know who.”
Kovu replied, “Oh, well then let’s finish up then head back to the den, okay.”
Kiara then growled silently, and then answered, “Okay.”
So, as Kovu and Kiara finished up, the figure backed up and ran back.
As Kiara and Kovu arrived back at the den, they laid back down and waited for everyone to wake up. But when Kiara laid back down on her belly, she noticed that Zuri was missing.
So Kiara asked, “Hey Kovu, do you know where Zuri went?
Kovu replied, “I don’t know.”
Kiara answered back, “Well, I ‘m going to go ahead and find out, okay and then I’ll be back.”
Kovu replied, “Okay, but be careful.”
Kiara answered, “Okay.”
So, as Kiara got up and exited the den, she began looking for Zuri. So Kiara said to herself, “Okay, now where did you go.”
As she continued walking through the dead grass, she picked up a scent. It was Zuri, so she followed the scent and as she got closer, she heard some quiet talking. She was saying something but Kiara couldn’t quite figure it out. So she decided to get a little closer and stopped then listened.
Zuri then said to herself, “Alright, hears my plan and this time for sure I will steal Kovu away from that little sassy princess.”
As she said that, Kiara narrowed her eyes and bared her sharp fangs at her and listened some more.
Zuri continued, “I will bother Kovu and keep asking him to take a short walk. I will pretend something’s bothering me and I will ask him to come and talk to me and then from there, I’ll slowly start stealing Kovu away from that stupid, disgusting princess of his.
At that moment, Kiara had heard enough and jumped out of the grass and snarled while baring her sharp fangs at her, then said, “That’s enough Zuri! I have had it with you! You’re again planning on taking Kovu away from me again aren’t you?”
Zuri replied, “Oh my, so the Princess was spying on me now, that’s not very nice you know.”
Kiara said back, “I can do whatever I want to. Now, answer my question you pathetic excuse for a lioness!”
Zuri answered, “So, now you’re cursing at me and threatening me now, tisk tisk. That’s not a good thing for a princess like you to do.”
Kiara replied angrily at her, “I have every right to do so. I’ve seen what you’ve been doing. You’ve everyday now been trying to take Kovu away from me, but you fail every time, so why don’t you just give up, and you didn’t care that I was almost dead, you were just faking it.”
Zuri replied, “Oh, that’s quiet harsh don’t you think. Wait until Kovu hears this, he won’t be please with your actions at all.”
Kiara replied back, this time threatening Zuri, “One false move Zuri and you’ll wish you were never alive. I will not allow you to tell him or talk to him is a matter of fact.”
Zuri then laughed and said, “You, stopping me? Oh please, you’re so weak that you couldn’t even stop a small rock from getting past you. You disgust me Princess and for that, I’ll for sure take Kovu away from you.”
As Kiara then snarled and bared her sharp fangs at her, Zuri said, “Now that’s not nice Princess, all I’m trying to do is have a friendly conversation, not a violent one.”
As Kiara continued snarling, she said, “Oh, but you have been asking for a violent talk here and trying to cause a fight with me, so I’d back off if I were you.”
Zuri laughed a little and said, “You think you can stop me, ha, a weakling like you, don’t make me laugh.”
Kiara growled and said, “You’ve just crossed the line Zuri!”
So just like that, Kiara leapt at Zuri but Zuri dodged Kiara’s attack easily which gave her the chance to attack back! So Zuri leapt at Kiara and extended her claws and racked her claws across Kiara’s face. As Kiara roared in pain, blood began rushing profusely down her face and quickly dripping to the ground! Zuri then slammed her paw into the other side of Kiara’s face and her head and body slammed into a rock!
As Zuri saw blood flowing slowly out her mouth, Zuri said, “Face it Kiara, I’m just to good for you.”
As Kiara snarled at the comment, she slowly faced Zuri and spit a lot of blood out of her mouth and leapt at her, this time racking her claws across Zuri’s face and then slamming her paw into her face and Zuri hit the ground.
As Zuri looked up at her, Kiara said, “So, who’s the weakling now?”
Zuri growled and leapt at Kiara and sunk her sharp teeth deep into Kiara’s neck. As Kiara roared in pain, blood began rushing down her neck.
A little further back, some lionesses just noticed Kiara and Zuri fighting! As they saw that Zuri had Kiara by the neck, 10 lionesses ran over and knocked Zuri down, causing her to let go of Kiara’s neck. So, as they began breaking up the fight, 5 lionesses pushed Kiara away from Zuri, which it also included Nama and Kisha. And the other 5 lionesses pushed Zuri away from Kiara!
Kiara began snarling and yelling, “Let me go! I’ve got to teach her some more lessons about starting a fight with me!”
Kisha replied, “No Kiara, this is for your own safety.”
As Kiara continued snarling with a bloodied up neck, Zuri yelled back, also trying to get free from the other 5 lionesses, “Yeah, well if you hadn’t stalked me and begin swearing at me, none of this would’ve happened!”
Kiara then yelled angrily back, “What? You were the one taunting me and trying to take Kovu away from me!”
Zuri snarled, trying to get free but struggling to do so, so she yelled back, “Liar!”
As Kiara attempted to get free, she also failed to do so, and just then Kovu arrive and asked angrily, “What in the hell is going on here?”
Kiara then literally shook off some of the lionesses and caused them to let go and said, “Well Zuri here was taunting me and swearing at me and then she started the fight.”
Zuri then said back, ‘Well she was the one who was stalking me and then began threatening me and swearing at me!”
As Kiara and Zuri began yelling at each other again angrily, Kovu yelled, “Alright, enough, we will talk about this later! I will think about punishments here.”
As Kovu said that, he was glaring at Zuri. So Kovu said to the lionesses, “Escort Kiara and Zuri back to the den.”
As the lionesses began pushing them towards the cave, Kiara was getting annoyed at them pushing her, so she elbowed the lioness that was pushing her in the chest harshly. So the lioness let go immediately and continued walking while groaning a bit in pain.
The lioness said, “Kiara, you elbowed me in the ribcage, why did you do that? That was painful.”
Kiara answered back annoyingly, “Because, you kept pushing me and I was getting annoyed at it. So you deserved it.”
As the lioness just nodded, Kiara again spit out a mouthful of blood again and continued walking. As Kovu saw that and then noticed her bloodied up neck, he came over to her and asked, “Kiara, are you ok?”
Kiara replied, “Yes, I’m fine. It’s just a little blood is all, the wound don’t hurt much either, but thanks for your concern.”
Kovu replied, “No Problem.
As they finally arrived, they separated Zuri from Kiara both from each other. As a lioness began pushing Kiara again, Kiara said, “Okay, so what kind of bandage will you be getting? I’ll get you some medicine just like that your friend has?”
So the lioness stopped and walked away. So Kiara then laid down and Kovu began putting some medicine on Kiara’s wounds and after awhile, He stopped the bleeding.
Kovu then said, “There you go, now you need some rest right now and we’ll talk later, okay?”
Kiara replied, “Okay.”
So Kiara lay down on her belly and started to rest. The lionesses also cleaned up Zuri.
So, Zuri also laid down and took a nap like Kiara is.
