The Characters of the Story:
Simba: The future king of the Pride. Very playful and boastful.
Nala: Simba's best friend. She is as playful and destructive as Simba
Lightwind: Nala's friend and Kakon's sister. Smart and shrewd, she acts as leader when the group is lost.
Kakon: A s n e a k y c u b that blends better than most lions. Very creative, but careless.
(H e a d s u p, t h e s t o r y i s i n: Lightwind's Point of View)
"Simba!" I called out to the brush behind the rock. "Where are you?"
"Simba? I can see your tail waving, don't make me pin you!" Nala threatened Simba whose tail flicked up in disagreement. I could tell that he thought otherwise of Nala's threat, knowing that it was an empty one.
"You couldn't pin me if you tried. Girls can't pin boys!" He retorted angrily, sitting up with his ears flattened and teeth bared, ready for a fight with Nala.
I knew that if they got in a fight then Simba would win and he would brag all night and day for weeks. "If Nala can't, then I can! And I'm a girl" I said as gleefully as I could, as Nala sat down to watch me get ready to pin Simba.
"No you can't! No one can pin the future king!" He said back at me, standing back up ready to fight "Kings are the strongest wisest animal in the Pride. They always win."
"Try me," I said. We ran straight at eachother until we collided, then I placed my paws on right underneath his neck and as we rolled I pushed down with my front paws and pushed up with my hind legs to stand up. It worked, and knowing my reward was very rich: seeing Simba's shocked face.
"Get her off me!" he yelled, not in any particular direction, for Kakon, my brother, was hiding in the tall grasses silently, most likely watching our tussel. I saw a russel of the grass from the corner of my eye and saw my brother stalk over to us. He rolled his eyes, lifted his paw and with a swift movement pushed me off of Simba.
As I got up I saw Nala giggling at the two of us. I smiled and said, "I hope you took notes on that pin." When she nodded, Simba's eyes widened and I remembered why we got in the tussel in the first place. "Oh, and maybe if the future king can't be pinned then you should lose you're place then." I said tauntingly.
He glared at me until Kakon pushed up with his paw and Simba fell over. Nala was rolling all over laughing hysterically.
I smirked at him and I said, "We should go play with Zazu." When Kakon frowned and tilted his head, I knew that it was a bad idea. I nodded. "Nevermind," I said lying down and started licking my paws.
"Hey, Lightwind, if you think that you're so good and powerful, how about you go and scare the antolope?"
"Nah, you're dad would be pretty unhappy, especially with you, Simba. It is your idea."
"Or we could go make fun of the heyenas..." Nala said.
"Super bad idea... They could rip the four of us to shreds in minutes... or eat us in that time..." I said.
I glanced over at Kakon who was smiling. "What?" Kakon stood up and jumped up into the brush and disappeared quickly. I looked at Simba and Nala who looked puzzled. I sighed.
We stood up and went in the general direction that Kakon had left in. I found his scent quickly and led the way to the watering hole. Then we heard a elephant trumpeting in alarm and scared action and I immediatly knew what Kakon had did.
Kakon had scared an elephant while it was drinking by sneaking up on it silently and invisibly. Then the elephant lifted up its trunk in alarm and trumpeted, spraying all within a few feet. Knowing Kakon, that would be almost everyone.
I sighed and ran where I knew Kakon would be because he would have gotten a bit wet, preforming his little stunt. I could hear Nala and Simba falling behind a bit, but I had to get to my brother first. Dashing faster than the other two, I lost them, and mixed my sent with an antolope's, so they wouldn't know where I was. I finnally reached my brother's favorite tree and quickly, unsheathed my claws and slowly climbed up the dry, old tree until I saw him drying in a sunny branch. He glanced at me as I sat down on the branch next to him. I looked at him straight in the eyes and I knew what he was thinking right away.
"Brother," I said, "You can't keep doing these stunts, someoen is going to get seriously hurt. And with a high chance, it'll be Nala or Simba, or someone we really care about." He just glanced at me and gave me a look that clearly said: I know. Don't remind me.
"I feel like I need to, cause your aren't talking this really seriously. Please, Kakon, take more responsiblity and be more around the pride. Brother, try not to get into-"
Then we heard a scream that sounded just like Nala's.
Do you want more of this? More Kakon, Nala, Simba, and Lightwind adventures? It could happen, but I need at least five Private Messages to create a new one. Until then, I'll be checking my PMs for the requests, so send them anytime.
I hope you liked this story, and I hope you will read more, if there are any.
