Chapter 1

   Meeting

A lightly colored lioness cub looked up at the golden/brown lion cub and snorted. "You? King?" She burst into laughter.

The cub's ears went back. "I'm not lying. My dad's Mufassa!"

"I believe you," she said, putting a paw to her chest, in mock hurt. "Really. But you said that you were king."

"Oh." The cub blushed. "I guess I did."

The lightly colored cub chuckled. "you guess you did."

  "I'm Simba!" said the cub.

"And I'm Nala," said the lioness cub.

  "Want to play?" asked Simba.

  "Sure," Nala replied.

Simba pounced and Nala easily rolled him over. "Pinned ya. Never make first move, Simba." Simba wriggled out from under her.

"I'll never mount to anything," he spat.

"Hey, you'll get it," Nala told him. "It just takes practice."

"Yeah, practice," Simba muttered, sarcastically. "What I need is a miricale."

"Miricales come in all shapes and sizes," Nala said.

  "Thanks," Simba whispered.

  "Your welcome," Nala shrugged.

"Simba, Dad says that it's time for bed!" cried a voice.

  "Great," muttered Simba. "Kopa."

"Simba!" A brownish/gold lion cub appeared.

"kopa meet Nala," Simba sighed. "Nala, Kopa. Kopa's my little brother."

 "Hi," Kopa said.

   "Hello," Nala responded.

"Well, we have to go," Simba sighed.

"N-no. I lied. W-we can stay. W-with Nala," Kopa said.

"Umm..." Nala loked over Kopa at Simba, who was sliding a paw across his throat. "No. I have to go. Bye."

  "Bye!" Kopa sighed.

"Nala." Simba ran to her. "I know that we have to go home, so I appreciate it."

"I appreciate the fact you have to leave," Nala growled. "Kopa's looking at me funny."

"I understand," Simba nodded. "You're scared. Bye."

"Bye," Nala replied. She hurried home.

 Chapter 2

  Can't Stand It

Nala wiggled out from her mother's grasp. "Okay! I'm done! Can I play with Simba now?"

  "Sure," chuckled Sarafina.

"Thank you!" sighed Nala. Months had passed, since Nala and Simba's first meeting. She raced to the water hole. "Hey!"

The only problem was that Simba wasn't there. Kopa was.

"Hey." Kopa advanced on her. Nala gulped.

  "Uh... w-where's Simba?" she asked.

  "Not here," Kopa said.

"Where is Simba?" Nala asked. "I'm warning you."

  "Not here," Kopa grinned.

"Er... bye!" Nala ran back to her mom. "Mommy!"

  "What?" her mom chuckled.

"Creepy," Nala whispered. "Very creepy. Kopa, very creepy."

"I don't understand." Sarifina shrugged. "well, Simba was here, he said he needed to find you and it was important."

"Where is he now?" Nala asked.

"He went to Rafiki's tree." Srifina noticed Nala's groan. "Don't worry, Rafiki's with Mufassa."

"Okay!" Nala ran to the baboon's tree and saw Simba there. He stood up.

"I can't do this anymore," he whispered.

  "Can't do what?" Nala asked.

"Nala, no lion here respects me!" Simba cried. "They never will! Kopa isn't my little brother he's my twin! Mom and Dad chose me! Everyone thinks they should have chosen Kopa! I guess they're right!"

"Simba, no they don't!" Nala disagreed.

"Nala, they do! I can't deal with it! I'm leaving."

  Nala stared at him. "W-what?"

"I'm leaving. I can be on my own." Simba was determined, Nala knew that but sh ehad to try.

  "What about me?" she asked.

"Nala, I-I can't make you leave your mom," Simba said.

"You don't have to make me," Nala told him. "Kings get to pick their mate. If Kopa is king..." Nala shuddered.

"Nala, I have to do this. You have to stay here! You have a choice! You can lead your life how you want!" Simba said.

"So can you!" Nala was fighting back tears.

"I know." simba sighed. "That's what I'm doing, Nala."

"Simba." Nala stepped forward. "I hope you find your miricale."

"I hope you can live well," Simba responded.

"Well, this is it." Nala looked away.

  "Bye," simba whispered.

"Good bye!" Nala couldn't take it. She ran towards her mom's cave. No more Simba. Never again....

   Chapter 3

   Trapped

Nala took a drink of needed water. She was a grown lioness now. Kopa was king since Mufassa had been killed by Scar. Scar, luckily, wasn't king. Not everyone knew that Scar was a killer but Nala did.

"Hey, Nala," said a voice. Nala tunred around and saw Kopa. He appeared to be alone.

  "Hi, Kopa," she said.

"Nala, I was wondering if you were interested in being queen," Kopa told her.

"No, thanks," Nala replied. "I should go." She turned to leave but found her self blocked by other males! She gasped and realized that she was surrounded!

"You're not going anywhere," growled Kopa. Nala looked around for an escape. "Now tell me that you'll be my queen."

  "Never," snarled Nala.

"You will be my queen!" Kopa told her.

"I was once told that I make my choice," Nala announced.

"What idiot said that?" Kopa demanded.

"Simba," Nala said. She lept over Kopa and ran for her life.

  Chapter 4

  Saved

Nala felt her fur fly around her as she ran from Kopa. Her heart was beating faster adn faster yet.

"Run, Nala!" roared Sarafina and Sarabi. Nala pushed herself harder. She had to escape! Nala knew that if she didn't become Kopa's mate he'd kill her.

She ran into a forest and felt branches and leaves wacking her in the face. She saw a golden/brown lion up ahead and she collapsed when she reached him.

"Help me," she murmrued. The lion was taken by suprise but he stepped infront of her.

"Stop!" he roared. Kopa and his goones stopped.

"No one bosses me!" Kopa growled.

"Mmmhhmmm," the lion responded, dryly. "well, why are you chasing this young lioness?"

"She won't be my queen," growled Kopa. "Will you move?"

"She cna lead her own life," the lion snapped. "I told my old friend that over and over."

"Old friend?" Kopa sneered. "Are you alone?"

"Define "alone"," the lion snickered. "I'm never alone. But if you mean alone phisically then-"

"Oh I get it!" snapped Kopa.

"Do you?" The lion's gaze snapped to Kopa. "Really? Do you believe in miricles?"

  "No," Kopa snorted.

  "I see," the lion nodded.

"I am king of the pridelands, no move!" Kopa growled, impatiently.

  "Pridelands?" gasped the lion. "Kopa?"

"How do you know?" Kopa demanded. Then a sly smile made its way across his face. "Simba. Simba, Simba, Simba."

  "Simba?" Nala gasped.

"It's me, Nala," the lion replied. Simba turned to Kopa. "What are you doing to her, Kopa?"

"What I do to everyone," Kopa shrugged. "If they don't do what I say, well..." He slid a paw across his throat.

"Leave her be," Simba growled, fully understanding Nala's problem. "I understand why she was scared. You're nuts, Kopa!"

   "No," Kopa laughed. "I'm me!"

"It's tiem to end it!" Simba snarled.

"My plesure," Kopa snickered. Simba waited and Kopa lunged.

He waited! Nala thought. She stood up. "Go Simba!" Simba scratched at Kopa and soon had him pinned.

"Kopa," Simba whispered. "Forgive me, Brother." Simba bit Kopa's throat. He looked at Nala. "I had to."

"Get Scar!" Nala yelled. Scar had leaped on Simba's back. Simba roared and rolled over, dislodging Scar. he then pinned his uncle.

"Scar killed Mufassa, Simba," Nala said. Simba's eyes clouded with greif.

"You kept taking and taking," he said to his uncle. "Here's a gift." Simba then ended Scar's life.

  "Simba, I'm sorry," Nala said.

"I hate the taste of blood," Simba spat. "I hate killing!"

   Chapter 5

  Miricle

Nala led Simba back to the Pride Lands, the other males following. Simba took his place as king the pulled Nala aside, to the Water Hole.

"While I was gone," he said. "I realized something. I've always had my miricle, Nala."

  "Really?" Nala asked. "That's great!"

"It was you," Simba told her.

  Chapter 6

 Cubs

Nala and Simba followed Rafiki to the edge of Pride Rock. Rafiki held out their children.

"Their names are Kiara and Kopa," Nala said. Simba smiled. Kiara was the oldest adn Kopa was named after Simba's brother. Nala smiled at Simba.

  Her life was perfect.
