Kopa was out one day pouncing. Simba sent Timon and Pumbaa to check on him since Zazu and him had a very important meeting with all the Serengeti officials.
“What are ya doing, kid?” Timon asked. Kopa was practice pouncing with a grasshopper. “Pouncing.” He replied. Kopa was having no success. Pumbaa smiled when he saw what he was trying to catch. “I see you’re into bugs. The best food in life.” Pumbaa said proudly. “Erm..I was just…” Timon interrupted Kopa. “We’ll show you the best bugs in the Pridelands, kid.” “Um…Ok..” Kopa agreed not wanting to their feelings.
They took Kopa to a hollow tree about a mile away. It was filled with loads of bugs, kind of like a cabinet filled with food. “Are you sure about this, Timon?” Kopa was unsure because the bugs looked gross. They were extremely slimy and covered in dirt. “Trust Timon, kid, he knows what he’s doing.” Pumbaa said like a professor.
“Trust me,Kid.” Timon agreed. Timon reached in the bug fill log and grabbed a dung beetle. Timon had thousands of bugs crawling up his arm and quickly whipped them off. “Try this.” Timon handed Kopa the bug. Kopa grabbed for the disgusting looking beetle and ate it hastily. “This is kinda good. What is it?” Kopa liked it. “A dung beetle.” Pumbaa felt safe to tell him. All of a sudden Kopa felt sick. He didn’t have the strongest stomach. Kopa felt like he was going to throw up. “I feel sick. I want my Dad.” Kopa passed out of the fact he ate something that ate dung. “Ok, we better get him back to Priderock, Timon.” Pumbaa picked up Kopa and Timon hopped on Pumbaa and they walked back to Priderock.
Timon, Pumbaa, and passed out Kopa got back to Priderock. Simba was busy talking to the local buffalo leader.”Simba, they’re back and Kopa don’t look so good.” Zazu announced in his British accent. Pumbaa put Kopa down. Simba saw Kopa was passed out. “What happened?” Simba demanded really worried. “Well, he ate a dung beetle.” Timon staggered.” Guys, never feed Kopa bugs, he has a weak stomach unlike I did.” Simba grabbed Kopa and went inside. The meeting was canceled.
Later Kopa woke up in Priderock. “Hey, sleepyhead, feeling alright?” Simba was still concerned. “I Feel ok. No more bugs.” Kopa said. “No more bugs.”Simba agreed and nuzzled him knowing he was ok. Kopa learned a bauble lesson that day; never trust Timon and Pumbaa when it comes to food.
