4-year-old Kiara was wondering around the grassy areas of the pridelands chasing a grasshopper when she bumped into a tree.
"Ow!" She said
She tried to get some of Simba's lionesses to play with her but they told her that wasn't good enough.
She suddenly figured that maybe playing alone wasn't good enough for her so she ran to pride rock to have either Simba or Nala play with her. When she reached the tower-shaped rock she found Simba marking meat for his Lionesses. She walked up to him
"Daddy, can you come play with me?" Kiara asked
"No sweetie I'm busy."
"Daddy please."
"No Kiara."
"But Da-"
"NO THAT'S JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH!"
Kiara ran off to find Nala maybe she could play with her.
She found her building rocks to guard up the entrances from enemies.
"Mommy will you play with me?"
"No pumpkin I'm busy!"
"Moooooommyyyy?????!!!!!!!!!!"
"NO THAT'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Kiara sat in a corner to think of a way to get some attention, suddenly she stood on all four of her legs and ran toward the pile of rocks theat Nala was stacking up. Kiara knocked over the rock pile and giggled this made Nala furious.
"KIARA OUT I SAID THAT'S NOT GOOD ENOUGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Nala screamed
Kiara ran outside in terror, Suddenly she ate up the meat that Simba had stacked. Simba yelled at her as well
"Kiara go away can't you see we're busy here?"
"Mommy, I just wanted you and Daddy to play with me."
"NO!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT'S JUST NOT GOOD ENOUGH" Nala roared at her and then slapped her in the face. That made her cry she then turned around and walked out shocked.
"Not good enough?, not good enough?!, she means....she means I'm not good enough....They all think I'm not good enough!...I'd bet they'd be happier if I just left." Kiara jumped away "So that's what I'll do I'm just gonna run away and find new parents..just with my imaginary friend!" Kiara looked back one more time at her parents. Who weren't looking.
"Good-bye mom, good-bye Daddy, I hope your find a princess that's good enough!" Kiara whispered, crying she then walked away from Pride Rock. As she was walking through the pridelands she figured this must've where she should've lived in the first place.
Mean while back at Pride Rock, Nala was searching desperately for Kiara, she ran inside the den to wake up Simba who was napping
"Simba?!, Simba!, wake up!" Nala said yelling in terror
"What's wrong Nala?" Simba asked with a yawning voice
"Have you seen Kiara I can't find her!"
"What?!"
"I'll check the back." Simba said
"I'll check the front." Nala said
"Kiara?!, Kiara?! come here sweeheart!"
Simba and Nala realized now that she had ran away from home. Because of what they told her Nala suddenly had a flashback of what she did to her.
"Come on Simba let's go out and find her."
Simba realized that he just snapped at her, Nala was the one that hurt her, but he decided to go out and help her anyway.
Nala and Simba then ran off into the Pridelands to find Kiara.
In the meantime Kiara, who was now lost in a foggy, scary, jungle, was starting to take back what she said earlier about living out there.
Kiara had a scared look on her face suddenly she heard a weird growling sound it didn't sound like a lion roar.
It scared her so much she ran and curled up in a small tree and started crying cause she wanted to go home.
Her imaginary friend, Tikal, appeared in front of her.
"Kiara, you know running away isn't gonna help you, I saw your parents their worried about you, they were just a little busy that's all."
Kiara sniffled up her voice and crying tears "I know, but they think I'm not good enough, they don't love me anymore, so that's why I was running away, but I wanna go home!"
"They do want you home, remember Ki' if you need me just call me." Tikal then vanished
Kiara sat curled up in the tree seeing grey shadows, weird creatures, and strange noises, she was scared and crying the whole time.
"I wanna go home!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Kiara cried out
"That's ok sweetheart, we want you to come home." said a voice from beneath the thicket
Kiara was still shedding tears, but turned around to see where the voice came from, to her shock, it was Nala and Simba!
Kiara smiled, ran up to Nala, jumped on her, and hugged her.
"Mommy, I missed you."
"We missed you too pumpkin."
"Kiara don't you ever run off from us like that again, you had us worried sick!" Simba said
"Why were you worried about me, I'm not good enough remember?" Kiara scolded
"What?" Nala asked
"Nobody loves me, so I'm living here!"
Nala showed a puzzeled frown, she then turned to Simba
"Simba can you go back to Pride Rock, I wanna have some time alone with Kiara."
'Sure Nala."
Simba then ran back to Pride Rock. (He's not important right now, we're gonna focus on just Nala & Kiara)
Nala then turned her attention on Kiara, sat down beside her, and wrapped her paws around her.
"Now what's this about nobody loving you?"
"You and daddy yelled at me, and you hit me, nobody wanted to play with me."
Nala frowned in sorrow
"Kiara, I'm sorry, we just go carried away with our work that we lost track of you."
"Hey Kiara, look, the sun is starting to set, If I can make it up to wanna go back to the field and stargaze?, you like stargazing with me."
"Sure, mommy."
Nala then picked up Kiara in her mouth and made it out into the fields a couple of hours later. When they did, she dropped Kiara and sat down, Kiara got on top of her back, placed her paws on her head, and they both started to stare at the stars. Soon, Kiara then walked over to Nala's front side and snuggled up by her chest. Nala gave her an affectionate lick, and they both gazed at the stars. Nala then looked down at her daughter.
"Kiara?"
"Yes, mommy?"
"You don't hate me, do you?"
"No, mommy."
"Kiara if I start playing with you more and we go out stargazing more nights, we could be the best girls ever."
"Thanks mommy."
"I love you, Kiara."
"I love you too, mommy."
Kiara gradually fell asleep as Nala wrapped her in her paws, to keep her warm.
The End
