Travis ran through the wood as fast as he could. It was pitch black, he couldn't see and worst of all, he was being chased by wolves. The woods seemed to go on and on. Travis made a sharp turn to avoid a rock. He was out of breath. He collapsed to the floor. He started up above him. A whole pack of wolves were standing around him. The biggest one went towards him and lunged himself at Travis...

"HELP!" Travis yelled. Not even openeing his eyes, he felt around his body. He finally opened his eyes and found out that he was in his own home, in the old abandoned playhouse that was covered up by brambles in the park. He sat up in the old box that he slept in and looked around him. There were no wolves. Suddenly, the door to the playhouse swung open. Travis squealed and curled in a ball.

"Mornin'!" The thing called. Travis opened his eyes and saw that it was only his twin brother, Coco, with Bandit. Coco had some sheets on his back, he tossed them all at Bandit and walked towards the box that Travis was in. "Ready to go camping," Coco said enthusiastically. Travis opened his mouth to speak- "Sure you are!" Coco finished. The three dogs started to walk through the park in the direction of the woods.

"Hey, isn't the woods where all the wolves live?" Travis asked.

"Yeah, why?" Coco asked.

"No reason," Travis shrugged.

"This is gonna be fun! We're gonna make a campfire-" Coco said

"And chew bones," Bandit added.

"And roast marshmallows," Coco chuckled.

"And chew bones- wait. Where did you get marshmallows?" Bandit asked.

"You don't wanna know..."

(Meanwhile, at Dashes house)

"Dash, did you take the marshmallows?" Dashes owner asked. Dash shook his head.

"Anyway, the best thing of all about camping is-"

"Chewing bones?" Bandit asked.

"No, sleeping under the stars!" Coco answered.

"What'll we do about all the wolves?" Travis asked.

"Let them find their own camp," Coco joked.

"No! I've never seen a wolf in real life. Well, the closest thing I've seen to a wolf is Zero (tri), but I thought that they were carnivores. Ya know, eat meat, kill thing, maybe US!" Travis said.

"Nah! Don't worry about those guys. They'll just have to deal with Karate Coco. HI-YAH!" Coco said. Coco jumped and did a karate chop in mid air... and fell flat on his face.

"Yeah, I think Karate Coco needs some training," Bandit laughed as he walked past Coco with Travis not far behind.

Bandit, Travis and Coco had started to set up the camp. Bandit and Travis started to unpack the stuff they'd brought with them. Bandit tipped all the stuff out of a black bag he'd found in the junkyard.

"Weird. I thought I'd bought more bones than that," Bandit said as he pulled out 8 large bones. Suddenly, Bandit was knocked over. He shook his head and noticed that Coco had jumped on him.

"Bandit. I've set up the tents (or two blankets on top of eachother). What should I do now?"

"You could get some firewood," Bandit offered.

"Sure. I'm an expert at wilderness survival. Coco leaned up against a tree. He suddenly slipped off it and landed flat on his back.

"Yep. If you can survive falling to the floor you can survive anything," Bandit exagerated.

"Yeah, funny. One more thing. Where should I look?" Coco asked.

"I'm guessing in the really dark woods, where all the carnivores live," Travis said.

"Ok. See ya later," Coco ran off into the trees.

Coco searched for over an hour. The sun was begining to set. Coco still hadn't found any firewood. He rested on top of a rock.

"Man, the wood seems fresh out of wood. How can that be possible?" He wondered. Coco stared at the ground. All of a sudden, he noticed, just a few feet away from him, was a log, just big enough for him to drag back to Bandit and Travis. Coco was so excited about the campfire that they were gonna have that he didn't notice that the log covered up a large hole in the ground

Three wolves walked towards the hole dragging their lunch, a deer, with them. The two adults stopped and sat down for a rest. "Nice catch, huh, Darla?" He asked.

"Yes, Rufus, looks tasty," Darla replied, nuzzling her mate. She looked over at their son, Fuzz, who was backing away from the hole.

"Someone's taken the log that hides our home," Fuzz sniffed. Rufus walked over to the hole and stuck his head down it. He saw a mother rabbit with three babies, who had found the hole and made a home out of it.

"I'm gonna find whoever did this and give 'em a piece of my mind," Rufus growled, once he's come out of the hole.

"If you have a mind," Darla muttered. Fuzz jumped on his mothers back and they followed Rufus.

Bandit, Travis and Coco were roasting some marshmallows over the fire. Coco put his on his stick and picked it up in his mouth He put it in the fire, but when he pulled it out, it was on fire he quickly shook it about so the fire would go out, Bandit and Travis backed away.

"Watch where you shake that," Travis whimpered.

"Relax," Coco said, but as he spoke, the marshmallow and stick flew out of his mouth and headed straight for Bandit, Bandit ducked and the flaming marshmallow flew over his head and into the bushes, where it went out.

"Phew," Bandit sighed in releif. They went back to eating marshmallows.

"These are pretty good, considering one almost roasted me," Bandit chuckled.

"Too right, Bandit. This is cool, sitting under the stars with your best buds, roasting marshmallows. I feel great," Coco sighed.

"Does anyone feel like going home, yet?" Travis  asked, hopefully,"

"No way! We haven't even started telling ghost stories, yet," Coco said.

"Ghost stories!?" Travis panicked, he dived in beween his two sleeping blankets.

"You're right, Travis, not scary enough," Coco said. "How about a wolf story!" Coco suggested. Just at that moment, there was some rustling in the bushes, Rufus was looking through it, observing the campers. The gang didn't notice.

Travis suddenly looked out from under his blanket. "WOLVES!" He screamed. He ran off. Coco and Bandit cocked their heads and wondered what had gotten into Travis. Rufus noticed the log in the fire and panicked.

"Our log!" Rufus ran around in circles, before he dipped his head down into a nearby lake and got as much water as he could in his mouth. He ran back to the fire. Coco suddenly turned around and saw the wolf running at them. He tapped Bandit, who quickly turned around, together, they both screamed! Bandit frantically started looking for Travis, but he couldn't find him. The wolf spat out the water, it put the fire out, but some of it went on Coco and Bandit aswell.

"Gross!" Coco shuddered. Fuzz walked up behind them. Coco suddenly looked behind him and they made eye contact, to Fuzz, Coco was huge, so Fuzz ran off screaming for help. Meanwhile, Rufus and Darla ran away with the log, which was smaller than it was before and also wetter. "Those freakin' wolves took our firewood," Coco growled.

"Bandit? Coco? Where are you!?" Travis shouted as he walked, cautiously through the woods. "I hope I find them soon," Travis thought. Travis suddenly heard some rustling in the bushes behind him and turned around and started backing away. Fuzz was also backing away from a scary noise, but he opposite direction of Travis. The two small dogs bumped into eachother. They swiftly turned around and met eyes. They both screamed and ran for their lives, they jumped into a tree and started climing it, they noticed, once they got to the highest branch, that they were still together. Travis looked Fuzz over and suddenly realised that he was exactly the same height as himself and didn't look so scary at all. "Sorry about that," Travis blushed. "It's not easy to not be scared of something when you're alone in the dark woods on your own.

"I'm sorry, too," Fuzz started at his paws. Travis suddenly looked down and noticedd how high they were. He screamed in terror. Fuzz curled up into a ball and covered his ears. "Please, don't shout. It scares me," He shook.

"Wolves get scared?" Travis asked, cocking his head. "i always thought that you wolves were the ones doing all the scaring," Travis admitted.

"Hope. Ya know what's really scary?" Fuzz asked. Travis shook his head. "Being lost," Fuzz answered. Travis gulped, knowing that Fuzz was right.

Coco placed a bone in the middle of the camp site. Just in front of it, there was a deep pit, which Coco and Bandit had dug. "Are you sure this is gonna work?" Bandit asked.

"'Course it will. Wolves can't resist bones. We're definitely gonna get our firewood back," Coco plotted.

"But, we've got to find Travis," Bandit reminded him.

"Travis has probably gone home. We've gotta get that log," Coco asured him, although Bandit didn't agree at all. Rufus and Darla were nearby with the log, suddenly, Rufus stopped pushing the log and started sniffing the air.

"Is it... is it... BONES!" He drooled. Darla started to drool aswell. She laughed as Rufus' mouth watered like crazy. "You take care of the log, I'm going to grab that bone. Rufus started to run towards the delicious smell. "There it is. I want it!" He slobbered. Suddenly, the ground disappeard and Rufus fell into the pit. Darla was rolling the log in the same direction, using her nose to shove the log as far as she could. She couldn't see anything, so she rolled the log, and herself into the pit and landed right on top of her mate. The two wolves were almost unconsious and everything was going round. Coco saw hid chance and jumped into the pit and pushed the log as high up the wall of the pit as he could. Bandit stretched down and grabbed the log with his two front paws and pulled it up. Coco jumped up after it. Bandit suddenly realised something.

"Um, Coco, if you can get out of the pit, can't the wolves. Coco gulped.

"I hadn't thought of that," He whispered. The two dogs started to roll the log back to the campsite.

"You should change your name to Coconut," Bandit said.

"Why?" Coco asked.

"Because you are a nut!" Bandit barked. The two wolves suddenly snapped out of their daze and jumped out of the pit sbarling. Bandit and Coco sharply, turned around and gulped as the wolves got closer. The wolves pounced on Bandit and Coco and started fighting.

Travis and Fuzz were still up in the tree. "I'm really scared, Travis," Fuzz whimpered.

"Me too," Travis panted, trying hard not to look down. "We're so high."

"What'll we do?" Fuzz asked.

"Call for help?" Travis suggested. Fuzz nodded in agreement.

"HELP!" They both yelled at the top of their lungs.

                                                                                            ***

Rufus, Darla, Bandit and Coco were arguing over the wood pile. "It's my log. I saw it first!" Coco grolwed, staring deep into Rufus' angry amber eyes.

"It's not firewood! It's the log that hides our home!" Rufus argued. He started rolling the log away. Coco quickly stopped him. They argued some more until they were interupted by a loud "HELP!"

"My baby!" Darla gasped.

"Travis?" Bandit cocked his head in shock. The four dogs ran towards the screams. They found themselves staring up a tall tree at the highest branch, where Travis and Fuzz were perched. The two stuck dogs noticed them and stopped yelling.

"Bandit, we're stuck!" Travis called.

"We can't get down," Fuzz shouted.

"Rufus to the rescue," Rufus said as he started climbing the tree.

"Step aside and let me show you how it's done," Coco bragged as he followed Rufus. Bandit and Darla stayed on the ground staring up in awe at the tall tree, wondering how they got up there in the first place. Rufus and Coco battled over who got to go in front on the tree climb, so it slowed them down.

"Some rescue plan," Bandit sighed, feeling slightly embarassed, but he was sure that Darla felt the same way about Rufus. Eventualy, Coco and Rufus fell down from the tree becasue their fighting caused them to fall off.

"What now?" Darla asked, looking at Bandit for the best answer. Bandit thought for a while before answering.

"I've got it!" He stamped his paws in excitement.

"What is it?" Rufus asked.

"Two words: Sling-Shot," Bandit said.

"I thought that slingshot was a whole word," Coco said.

"WHO CARES?!" The other three yelled. Coco just shuffled his paws.

Rufus, Darla, Bandit and Coco strtched two branches from two tree's either side of the tall tree until they were close enought to be tied together. Once they'd tied them, Rufus, Darla and Coco Pulled the slingshpt back and Bandit sat on it.

"FIRE!" Bandit ordered. Bandit suddenly went flying into the air. The others thought it might work. Bandit shot to the top of the tree. He landed on the same branch as Fuzz and Travis. "Climb on my back and I'll bring you down," Bandit said. Travis and Fuzz did as they were told and bandit started to climb down. Fuzz clung on to Bandit's ears as tight as he could and Travis kept his eyes shut the whole climb down. After a shhort while bandit had got Travis and Fuzz on the ground again. Fuzz ran over to his mother and father and Travis jumped on top of Coco as if he'd never seen a dog in his entire life.

The three dogs and the three wolves were in Bandit's hideout eating the rest of the marshmallows.

"Sorry about mistaking your log for firewood, Rufus," Bandit apologised.

"No biggie," Rufus said with his mouth full. "It was all a misunderstanding.

"Ya know. I think that these marshmallows taste even better than deer. Where did you get this from?" Bandit and Travs looked at Coco.
