He is the son of Balto and Jenna. Born from there first (and only litter) He likes seeing his family and friends having a good time and seeing them like that make him feel good inside and out. And when it comes to dangerous situations he can be very serious. Stark’s fur color is a rusty red like Kodi’s and a creamy white- like color. However the rusty red part of his fur is slightly darker than Kodi. About 70 percent of his body is covered in the rusty red color and the remaining 30 percent is the creamy white-like color. His eye color is a dark yellow color just like his father’s. He is slightly taller than most of the other dogs in Nome. He is quite muscular for a dog. And the origin of his name is the German word for Strong. Saba Voice by: Megan Fox She is the daughter of Balto and Jenna from the first (and only litter) Saba is one of those kind that be called high spirited and very cheerful. She get very exited when something big is going on. But later when danger comes her way, she puts all that cheerfulness away and gets concentrates on the situation at hand. From another dog or human’s point of view, Saba can be described as the most beautiful dog in the world. Her body is very slim. Hew paws, however are bigger than the rest of her siblings. She is about the about the same height as Jenna, maybe an inch or two. Her fur color is a sort of dark-light red color and a snow white color. Also, the fur on the top of her head is longer than any other dog or wolf. The hair is so long, that is reaches down to the top of her right eye. The origin of her name is Arabic for Gentle Breeze. Dingo Voiced by: Jim Sturgess He is the son of Balto and Jenna. Like his father and mother, Dingo is a very kind, sincere and caring wolf-dog. When is comes to being violent and fighting he is very skilled and his style is very ferocious. He is the same height as his dad and has a light shade of yellow for his eye color. His paws are the same size as Balto’s. All in all he is a handsome, strong-willed wolf dog. His fur color is a red and snow white. The fur pattern he has is like Balto’s. Kiona Voiced by: Emma Stone She is the daughter of Balto and Jenna. Rusty red and snow white fur. Has the same eye color as Jenna. Personality: She’s very nice most of the time. But when danger comes around, she gets very serious and does her best when it comes to fighting. But when someone insults her family she goes into a state of rage. This gives her the motives and determination to embrace her wolf side and fights like a true wolf. Her resemblance to Jenna is so un-canny that she can almost be mistaken for Jenna. However, she is younger and slightly shorter than her mother. Her fur color and pattern is just like Jenna’s. Her paws, however, being a wolf-dog hybrid, her paws are a little bigger than an average dogs. The official size of her paws is bigger than Jenna’s but not as big as Saba’s. Oslo Voiced by: Gary Since Oslo is a husky dog. He is a little older than Balto. He is heavily fueled by his hate for Steele. Yet, he can control his anger when it’s not needed and be a kind and caring dog, to both, humans and his fellow dogs. In his major scene of fighting Steele, he lets out a demon-like state of violence and rage. But he has is self-control over that so he is able to tell when said rage is not needed. Also, in his while he is fighting he displays a very cunning yet ferocious fighting skill. The color of his fur is a dark sliver that covers most of his body. His underside however is a lighter gray color. Most of the fur on the top of his head is kind’ a messy. The most unusual feature about him is that he wears an eye patch over his right eye. For his size, he is bigger than both Balto and Steele. And he is very muscular. Seth Voiced by: Elijah Wood Seth is a very close friend to Kodi, the rest of his siblings, Balto and Jenna. He is mostly a joker but is a very nice and loyal friend to everyone. When it comes to fighting, later, he is still very comical but serious. Seth also displays a very skilled but random fighting style. Seth is a slender, yet fairly muscular husky. The top part of his body is covered in a black color. The top of his legs a sort of sandy-like color. While the underside and the bottom half of his legs are a clear white color. He is about the same height of Kodi but maybe shorter by a half an inch. Kiko Voiced by: Peter Dunn Kiko is a sled dog that is a part of Kodi’s team and the son of Steele. Even though he is Steele’s son, Kiko is completely different than Steele in almost every way.. He is nice all of those around him. He hates very fact that Steele’s blood runs through his body. He hates Steele more than anyone could ever imagine. But he is very nice guy and filled with determination for dog sledding. He has the same fur color as Steele, jet black with a white underside. He is same height as Balto. His eye color is torques blue. Kiko is also strongly built. The last thing about him is that he wears a studded collar around his neck. Chapter 1- Opening titles, The Race We see nothing but black. And many wolf howls are heard. The howling continues as the saying below appears from the bottom of the screen moving up slowly. (Mainly so the audience can read it.) His muscles become hard as iron, and he grew callous to all ordinary pain. He achieved an internal as well as external economy. He could eat anything, no matter how loathsome or indigestible, and once eaten, the juices of his stomach extracted the least particle of nutriment; and his blood carried it to the farther reaches of his body, building it into the toughest and stoutest tissues. Call of the wild EXT- Alaskan Tundra- Sunrise The film then opens showing many Alaskan territories. (Howling continues) For a little bit we see many areas of the Alaskan tundra. Such as rivers, forests, clearings, and mountains etc. Everything is quiet. The sound that his herd, are the sounds of nature and wolfs howling. The last shot of the tundra is a mountain. (Howling fades) The howling stops as we get closer to the mountain. Music starts to play, soon as the shot reaches over the mountain and we see Nome. The song (Immigrant Song by Led Zeppelin) plays as we see many shots of the town. We also see Balto, Jenna and the rest of there friends and family going about there lives. A few other shots could include Muc and Luc chasing Boris on the beach and Balto and few others are laughing as they watch. Close to the end of the song, we pan by the post office where we see a news paper article in the window. The headline reads “Balto’s son Kodi starts racing carrier!!” When the song ends it’s the middle of the day. We are in a huge field. It’s all quiet for a second and two sled teams jump out from behind the shot. Both teams are running very fast. The shot then shows Kodi at the lead of one of these teams. They run into a forest and both teams dodge a few obstacles. They both get out of the woods at the same time and run into a clearing. Ahead of them is the town of Nome. A man standing on a hill from a distance of sled dogs sees them. He stands up and points a flare gun into the air. We go to a shot of the sky and see the flare explode. Man: Three mile marker! The shot of the explosion zoom out to show the whole town. Many people are running up to the ropes that keep the street clear for the race. We see a shot of a set of feet running. The shot rises up and we see a full body shot of Balto. Some dramatic music plays as we see the hero of Nome run as fast as he can. Balto: Kodi. At the finish line where many including Jenna, Saba, Dakota, Kiona, Dingo, Ralph, Dusty, and Seth gather behind the line and greet each other. They stand a few feet in front of the finish line. And above that line says: 10th Annual Golden Collar Race! Saba: Oh this is exiting! Balto comes up to them from the other direction Stark came from. Balto only pays attention to Jenna. They nuzzle. Jenna: Hey. Balto: Hey. Did I miss anything? Dusty: No, we all just got here. Balto: Good. I wouldn’t miss this for the world. Dingo: You guys think Kodi’s got this? Seth: Of course he does. There’s no faster dog than Kodi, other than you Balto. Balto: That is true. Kiona: I wonder how much he’s determined to win this race. Voice: It’s not about winning. They turn around and see Balto’s son Stark come out of the crowd of people. Saba: Stark. Balto: Where have you been? Stark: Sorry dad, I got lost. Dingo: Lost in your sleep? Stark: Shut up! Jenna: Stark! Stark: Sorry. Dusty: What did you mean that it’s not about winning to Kodi? Stark: Ok. I’ll tell you everything. All of the sudden, a white flash consumes the screen and we go into a flash back. INT- Nome- The beach- sunset Kodi stands on a hill that over looks the sea. The sun is setting and the sky has a light orange color to it with some clouds reflecting the light. Stark comes up to Kodi from behind and stands a few meters behind Kodi. Stark: Kodi? Kodi: Yeah? Stark: You told me you wanted to talk to me here at sunset right? Or was I just dreaming that? Kodi chuckles. Kodi: No you weren’t dreaming it. Stark: All right then. So what’s up brother? Kodi: I’m quitting my mail dog team. Stark: What!? Stark goes in front of Kodi. Stark: You’re quitting the mail team? Kodi: Yes. Stark: Ok now I know this is a dream. Kodi: No it’s not. Stark pauses for a second. Stark: All right. So if this is not a dream, then why are you quitting the mail team? If I remember, being a mail dog is your life. You even got to be the lead dog. Kodi: I know. Stark: So then why are you quitting? Kodi: Cause there is an opening for a lead dog on a sled team. Stark: So? Kodi: I wanted to be a lead dog right? But who gave the strength to follow that dream? Stark thinks about it for a second. Stark: Dad. Kodi: Right. When Dad saved Nome he made everyone look up to him. And even after that he gave others hope. Stark: And? Kodi: I think now that it’s been almost three years since that, people don’t really have someone to look up to or give them hope. I hear that little kids used to think of dad while they were sleeping so they would have good night’s sleep. Stark: I think I get it now. Kodi: I always wanted to be a sled dog just like dad. And at first I thought I could live up to his legacy being on the mail team. But now I’ll do that… Quick close up of Stark. Kodi: By winning the Golden Collar. The white flash comes back up again and we go back to Stark standing before the others. Seth: Wow. Kiona: Oh my god! Jenna: Kodi said all that? Stark: Yep. Balto: I never knew thought so deeply about being a sled dog. They hear some cheering in the distance. Stark: Well dad, it looks like were goanna see if Kodi will do it. The whole group looks down the long street and the camera quickly zooms over to the other end. The same dog teams from before bolt around the street corner. The teams are neck and neck running as fast as they can. The lead dog from the other team looks over to Kodi (who’s at the lead of his team) Team leader: Your not goanna beat me half breed. Kodi snaps his head over to the leader of the opposing team and sees him laughing at Kodi. Kodi squints at him at him and then looks forward and sees the finish line. He sees his loved ones cheering for him. Kodi: Oh yeah? Well beat this! Kodi runs a little faster than he was before and gets ahead of the race. We go to the sled team were we see a black and white husky wearing and collar with a few small spicks on it. He smiles when he sees Kodi going faster and he pushes himself as well. We go back to the dogs at the finish line. Balto: Come on, Kodi! The others cheer in overlapping voices. The other lead dog pushes himself and catches up to Kodi. Almost catches up to Kodi again but Kodi crosses the finish line. The crowd roars in cheers. The winning team stops and Kodi takes many deep breaths. After he gets control of his breathing, his musher comes up to Kodi and takes him out of his harness. His musher then pats him on the head and Kodi responds with very cheerful bark. Musher: Good job Kodi. Kodi watches his musher walk away and turns his head to where he saw his family and fiends. His eyes widen and gives of a “huh!?” when he sees Saba coming right at him. She comes up so fast that Kodi can’t get out of the way. She tackles him to the ground. Kodi: Saba….get off me! Saba: You won Kodi! Whaa hoo! Kodi: Please get off me, before you crush me. Saba: Ok, ok. Big baby. Saba gets off Kodi and he stands up. But then Stark takes his paw and messes with Kodi’s hair. Kodi tries to move his head around to get Stark’s paw off him but that doesn’t work. He slightly opens one of his eyes and looks at Stark. Kodi: Stark! Stark: Sorry. But you won man, I don’t believe it! Great job out there, brother. Kodi: Thanks. Dingo then comes up and holds his paw out in front of Kodi. Kodi gives his brother a paw (high five). He does same with Ralph, Seth, and Kiona. When he gets to Dusty’s turn, Kodi get sort of an awkward look on his face. But he comes around. Dusty: I’m happy for you Kodi. Kodi: Thanks Dusty. Jenna comes up. Kodi reaches his neck out, thinking that she’s goanna nuzzle him. But she reaches her paw out and tries to clean the messy hair that Stark made on Kodi’s head. Kodi: (laughing as Jenna pushes up against him) Oh! Come on, Mom! Jenna: I just want you to look for the cameras. Balto: (Laughing heartily) Hehe! Jenna seriously you’re embarrassing him. Chapter 2- Kiko Jenna lets go. The last dog on the sled team his unhooked from his harness. He is a black and white husky and he wears a studded collar. He looks at the crowed around him and sees a whole lot of people cheering for him and his team. He hears a shouting coming from the crowd and looks the other way. Voice: Kiko! Kiko gets an exited look on his face Kiko: Jack! Another husky breaks through the crowed. He has light gray fur with a silvery gray underside. He has a collar that is similar to Kiko’s. Kiko and Jake run up to each other and nuzzle. Many of the other dogs are looking and seeing this. In Balto’s group they all look at each other. But Kodi stays the same. Stark: (Freaked out a bit) Uh…Kodi? Kodi: Yes? Stark: Who is that guy? And his he… you know…(Drifts off) Kodi: Yes he is Stark. But trust me; Kiko is the best wheel dog anyone could ask for. He’s faster than me. Jenna: Really? Kiona: I thought on sled teams the strongest dog was out in the front. Kodi: Not quite. Balto: The wheel dogs are always the fastest and strongest one on the team. Kodi: And I’m the one that drives the team. But Kiko is the one that give our power to keep going. Would you like to meet him? Balto: Yeah sure. If this guy is as fast as you say he is, this is someone I just have to meet. Saba: Me too! Kodi: I’ll be right back. He turns his back ands runs over to Kiko. Kodi: Hey Kiko! (We hear him shout off screen) Balto and Jenna look at each other. Jenna: Someone faster than Kodi, that’s hard to believe. Balto: He’s better than I am, that’s for sure. Jenna rubs her face along Balto’s cheek Jenna: (Holding her face on Balto’s side) your still number one in my book. She lets go just as Kodi and Kiko come up to them. Kodi: Mom, Dad this Kiko. Balto: It’s nice to meet you Kiko I’m…. Kiko: (surprised and nervous) Oh believe me, I know who you are man. The great Balto that saved Nome. And his beautiful mate Jenna, it’s an honor to meet both of you. Balto: Like wise. You did a great job helping my son win the race. Kiko: I’d not be on any other team than Kodi’s. Stark: How’d you become a sled dog? Kiko: I tried out for the team a few months ago and they were amazed at how fast I was and they let me in right there. Saba: I can see why. I don think any sled team has ever ran that fast. Have you lived in Nome long? Kiko: Born in Nome, raised in Nome and will die in Nome. But the reason I wanted to be a sled dog was for my mom. I was told that watching sled dogs was her favoritve thing to see. Saba: What happened to your mother? Kiko: She died giving birth to me. But I was told many times that she loved watching sled racing. Dingo: I’m sorry for you. Kiko: It was a pain. But I was adopted, found a home. Everything was fine. Until… Kiona: (concerned voice) Till what? Kiko: I found out I was Steele’s son. The whole group’s eyes widen. The shot quickly changes to some shots of Steele of him fighting Balto on the Cliffside, then him falling off the cliff, ruining Balto’s trail that he marked and then a shot of Balto leading the sled team and him looking lost and at the fake trail marks Steele made. Then images stop. Jenna: Steele (she says shuttered and frightened) had a son? Kiko: Unfortunately, yes. But before you all get the wrong idea, I am nothing like him. He only cared about the glory he would have gotten if he saved all those children. You Balto (he says insisted) cared about what was important. Balto: And he tried to ruin the trail I marked. But I found my way back. After that, Steele was banished from Nome forever. Kiko: That’s right. I was born not to long after that. I took up dog sledding because I wanted to make name for myself. To show others that I’m not and will never be like Steele. Seth: And today I think you did just that. Dusty: And Jake? He’s a friend of mine but I never knew he… Kiko: (interrupts) that’s another story. Jenna: We have nothing against it. As there long as there is love, it doesn’t matter. Kiko: Thank you Jenna. That means a lot. Jenna smiles at him. Kiko: We’ll it was nice meeting you all but I’m goanna go celebrate. Seth: Hold that thought. I got that covered. Stark: You do? Kodi: What are you talking about? Seth: Well, Dusty, Stark, Kiona and I had very good feeling that you would win. So we pulled a few strings. Kodi: For what? Dusty: We have a surprise to you and the rest of the dogs. Balto: And what would that be? Seth: It’s a surprise. Dingo: Nice try Seth Seth: What? Dingo: This is goanna be another one of your pranks. Like the time you glued my butt to the floor of the market. Saba: Or put spiders in my food dish? Ralph: Or play ding-dong dash at my front door for over an hour!? Seth: I never did that. Ralph drifts his away with a confused look on his face. Stark then swings his head over to Ralph. Stark: (With a quick laugh) Ok that was me. Seth: Well this is not a joke. He raises his head up. Seth: All sled dogs for Kodi’s victory… Many of them get exited looks on the faces. Seth: Free meat from the butcher in the boiler room!! The whole crowed of dogs cheer, bark and howl. The start to proceed to the boiler room. Kodi looks back and sees the sled team he just beat. Kodi: Hey! They look at him. Kodi: That means you guys to come on! They run with Kodi to the boiler room. Chapter 3- Animal party EXT- Boiler Room- Sunny Fade in- Dogs are partying like animals. We see some dogs having fun, laughing and just talking with each other. Then Seth stands up on a converter belt that looks over the whole room. Seth: Hey guy’s! Everyone draws there eyes to Seth. Seth: I want to propose a howl, for Kodi the new Golden Collar winner! The crowd: Yeah!! The whole crowd begins to howl. As the dogs and wolf-dogs howl we get close ups of all of Balto’s pups. Close ups of Seth, Kiko, Dusty, and Ralph are also seen. And then last we go to Jenna. As Jenna howls she opens her eyes and looks over and sees Balto. He’s the only one that’s not howling. She stops and looks at him. She goes up to him and, just as the howling stops and everyone goes back to partying and socializing. Jenna: (With a worried look on her face) Balto what is it? Balto points his head at the door. Jenna nods. They go out the door. EXT- Outside of the Boiler Room- Sunny They turn a corner so that they are alone. Jenna: Now tell me what’s wrong. One second you’re having the time of your life and then the next you look worried. Balto: The Golden Collar. Jenna: What about it? Balto: Steele was the last one to have to reward. Jenna: So? Balto: What if all this winning goes to Kodi’s head like Steele? Jenna: (shakes her head, and laughs a little) don’t even think that! Balto, Kodi is your son. If there’s one thing that he’s got inside him… Balto looks at her with a down look on him. Jenna: Is his father’s heart. Balto: (Smiles and rises his head up to her and nuzzles her) and his mother’s looks. Jenna: Don’t worry about him. And Steele’s out of our lives. He was banished from Nome forever. No one has seen him since. He could be dead already. Balto: You’re right Jenna. I’m over reacting. Let go and enjoy the party. Voice: Not with out me!! Balto and Jenna look up and see Boris flying right at them. Balto: Whoa! The jump out of the way and Boris face forward in the snow. Balto pulls Boris out of the snow and sets his down. Balto: (laughing and talking at the same time) you ok, Boris? Boris shakes the snow off him. Boris: I’m fine, fine. Jenna: I thought you’ve gotten over you fear of heights? Boris: I did. It’s just landing that I can’t right yet. Balto and Jenna laugh. They hear something and look out in the distance. Voice: Balto! Balto: Oh now it’s a party. Over the small rise in front of them, they see Muc and Luc coming. As the get down the hill Luc trips and flies forward. He tackles Muc and they roll down the hill. Balto and Jenna jump of the way. Before Boris can ever react, he his pushed into the side of the boiler room building when Muc and Luc hit him. Balto and Jenna go up to them from opposite sides of them. Jenna: Are you two ok? They get up and Boris is nowhere to be seen Luc: Mmmhhhh. Muc: He’s good. I’m fine too. Balto: Where’s Boris? Luc: Mmm? He looks behind his back and sees Boris flat on it. Luc grabs Boris by the foot and pulls him off. Boris: Put me down! Luc: Mh. He drops Boris and he lands head first in the snow. Boris gets back up. Boris: I have it up to hear with you two big walking throw rugs. Balto goes up to Boris. Balto: Come on Boris. You know how they are. Boris: (groans) Fine. Just then, Stark comes around the corner. Stark: Hey, guys! You got to come see this. Ralph and Dingo ate to much meat were goanna bet who pucks first! Balto: This I got to see! He runs forward with Boris, Muc and Luc behind him Boris: Wait for me boy chick! Jenna alone groans discussed. Jenna: Men. She slowly walks in and the color of the sky changes from mid-day to sunset. We get and an outside aerial shot of the boiler room and we see many dogs walking out. The last to dogs to leave are Kiko and Jake. Kiko: See you guys later. Kodi: Night, Kiko. Kiko leaves and the only ones left are Balto, Jenna, Saba, Kiona, Stark, Dingo, Kodi, Dusty, Ralph, and Seth. They all lay scattered throughout the room exhausted. Ralph lies on the floor with his legs reaching out. And Stark is lying upside down on his back. Kiona: Now that was a party. Balto: Tell me about it. Dusty: I bet you were in a more crowed space when you brought the medicine back. Balto: No. This was worse than that. Seth: Still it was pretty sweet. Saba: (Sighs) I wish Aleu could have seen this. There is a sudden silence between Balto and the rest of his family. They all get some sorrow looks on them. We zoom in on Balto where he has a few flashbacks. We then see a few black and white shots of Balto nuzzling Aleu when she was a pup, then Balto watching her running away, and last is her howling and floating away on the block of ice. The flashbacks are also silent. Balto looks at all his loved ones and thinks of a way to comfort them. Balto: She’ll come back one day. At least found the home she was looking for. Jenna: It was what she wanted Balto. There’s nothing that could change that. Balto: Yeah. I guess so. Dusty sets her head up and looks at Kodi on the floor rested and his eyes half closed. She thinks for a second and perks up. She goes and stands over Kodi. Dusty: Kodi. Kodi: Yeah Dusty? What’s up? Dusty: Remember that plan we had after the race? Kodi: Plan? What plan? Dusty jerks her head towards the door. Kodi: (sarcastily) Oh yeah… that. Kodi stands up and walks side by side with Kodi. They walk out of the door. Fade out Chapter 4- Advice to Dusty INT- Nome at dusk- Twilight There is an optimistic music to a view of Nome, with a small hill in the foreground, as we see Kodi and Dusty making their way up the hill, coming from the town. We cut to a close-up of the two as they reach the peak of the hill and sit down next to each other, facing the horizon. Kodi (somewhat suggestively): I don't seem to recall any *plan* to do this. Dusty: There was none. I saw that things were getting sad in there. So I figured you needed to get out of there. Is that ok? Kodi: Yeah it’s fine. I think could use a good walk. So how are you doing? Dusty and sighs and she sets down on the white blanket of snow. Kodi quickly follows what she does and does the same. Dusty: Well, I’m doing pretty well. Kodi: Anything cool, funny or strange happen while I was racing? Dusty: Well there was one thing. Kodi: Tell me. Dusty: Ralph tried to ask me out. Kodi: Oh…He did? Dusty: He tried to but then he fainted. They both take the moment and laugh. Kodi: Did he faint while he was asking you? Dusty: Yeah, he was staring right into my face and he was like “Dusty…would like to” Then he dropped on the floor like his muscles froze up. Kodi: I can see the happening! Then right after Kodi says that, the laughter between him and Dusty dies down. Kodi: So…did you…say yes? Dusty: Well it was kind of hard for me to say yes to and unconscious dog. But maybe I don’t know. Ralph, I mean, he is my friend in all but I don’t think he’s my type. But there has been someone who I really like? Kodi: Who is he? Someone I know? Dusty scoffs and chuckles. Dusty: Well yeah you do. Kodi: Well then…he’s lucky to know someone like you. Dusty looks at him stunned with a “DUMBASS” look on her face. Kodi stands up and look at the sun setting. Kodi: It’s getting kind of late. I’ll see you tomorrow! Kodi runs down the hill and Dusty stands up and watches him until he is out of her sight. She gives of and annoyed groan. Dusty: Why are men so stupid when you’re trying to tell them you love them!? Fade out- Dusty walks down the hill and heads back to Nome. Chapter 5- A new illness INT- The lights fade into Rosy’s house- Daylight Fade in EXT- John Rosy’s father is walking sickley- Well lit John walks through the hall, grasping at the wood panels of Rosie's door walls. In Rosy’s room Rosy and Jenna hear this and look at each other Rosy goes to the door as Jenna backs away from the door. John uses the wood panels as supports, as Rosie looks up at him, worried. Rosie: Dad, you don't look so good. Are you okay? John: Yeah, I should be okay. I bet the darn weather is getting to me again. Rosie: Okay. Jenna: Balto, I'm glad you're here. Balto: Yeah, so am... (Notices Jenna's alarm) Jenna, what's wrong? Jenna: I don't know, but Rosie's dad smells sick, and he's not feeling well. Balto: You think it's something bad? Jenna: I don't know, but... (Slows down) mm, maybe I'm getting too worked up. But I'm worried. Balto: Maybe I should check it out. They go inside. Rosie lights up when she sees Balto, and runs to hug him. Rosie: Balto! Oh, it's so good to see you! Both dogs smile. Jenna then looks worried again and turns upstairs. Balto gets serious again and follows. They go upstairs and walk down to the end of the hall. They see hear John coughing like a maniac and then they pick up there pace. But when they reach the door Carey (Rosie's mother) steps in there way. Carey: Sorry Balto, he's not up to company right now. She closes the door and Balto looks to Jenna. She looks concerned. Balto begins sniffing at the edge of the door with a look of intensity. John coughs inside. Balto: Hmm. That does sound bad. Like when Rosy was sick. Jenna: What should we do? Balto: I don't think we can do anything right now except sit tight and hope for a miracle. Jenna: I'm worried, Balto. Balto: I know. I am too. Balto: (nuzzling Jenna) Don't worry. People get sick all the time. I'm sure he'll be okay. Jenna: (returning the gesture) I hope you're right. Balto: So do I. Rosie: (from kitchen) Jenna, supper! Jenna glances at Balto. Jenna: You want a bite? Balto: Sure. Jenna turns and walks away. Balto half turns his head and looks at the door where he hears more coughing. Balto: (under his breath) I hope I'm right this time. Chapter 6- The test EXT- The docks of Nome- Daylight Dingo is wandering around the area of the shipyard. Sailors walk in his path carrying crates off a small freighter. Sailor 1: Hey, anybody seen John? Sailor 2: Still at home, under the weather. Sailor 1: Are you serious? It's been almost a week now. Sailor 2: I just hope he gets over it soon. He's a good hand, and we could use the extra help around here. Dingo listens, his face growing increasingly worried. Next we see all of the pups (minus Kodi) going to Jenna's house. A sense of worry and fear seems to restrain his every step. Finally he reaches the door and scratches at it, to be greeted by Jenna. Her normally bright eyes seem clouded as if from several sleepless nights. Jenna: Kids? (Yawns) What... What are you doing here? Kiona: Mom…you look like you haven’t slept in day. Jenna: I haven’t. Kiona: Is true about Rosy’s dad? Jenna: How did you know about that? Dingo: The men down at the shipyard said Rosie’s father is sick. (He pauses) Is he...? Jenna: (depressed) I think so. He's barely been able to find the strength to get out of bed. The doctor just came by; he's up there with him right now. Stark: How bad is it? Jenna: (looking upstairs) I don't know, but here he comes now. They all go in ease drop on Carey talking with the doctor at the top of the stairs. Carey: How bad is it? Doctor: His lungs are infected. It’s causing his breathing to get slower and slower by the day. Carey: Is there anything you can do? Doctor: There is medicine for this. But I don’t have it. Carey: (with a sad tone) what can we do!? The doctor takes a slowly breath and lowers his head. He slightly opens his eyes and looks over. He opens his eye fully and looks on the wall next to him. He sees a picture of sled dogs and then turns to Carey. Doctor: I think it’s time for the spirit of the sled dogs to be tested once again. The dogs downstairs look at each other. The screen then shifts to the telegraph office where the messenger who works there is sending a message. And his dog is doing that thing it does with its ears. We overhear him talk as we see to Kodi and his sled team being hooked up they then run up to Rosie’s house. Kiko is also on the sled team. Messenger: Fairbanks. Stop. Emergency. Stop. Critical patient is being sent to you. Stop. By sled dogs. Stop. From Nome the dogs will deliver the patient to your hospital. Stop. You have the medicine that will cure him. Stop. May the strong spirits of dogs guide them through this dangerous quest. Stop. When Kodi’s team arrives at the house Balto is there with his whole family including Dusty, Ralph and Seth Balto: Are sure about this, son? Kodi: I’m not goanna let a good human die. Jenna: Just please be careful, Kodi. Balto: (quietly) Jenna. She looks to him and he nuzzles her. Balto: He’ll be ok. Jenna looks at him and nods her head and smiles. John passes right by then and as he's gets on to the sled. Without help. Johan: (groans) Are sure this a good idea? There’s a storm coming. A bad one. We should wait for it to pass. Musher: If we leave now we can beat the storm before is passes over our trail. And besides... He looks to Kodi and Kodi looks at him. Kodi has a look of determination, in his eyes. Musher: With Kodi at the lead, we can do this. Rosie stands watching, clinging to her mother's dress. She starts to go to her father, but her mother pulls her back lest she get the disease as well. Rosie: Is he goanna be okay? Carey: Don't worry, he'll be fine. I know he will. The Musher walks over to them. Musher: I'll do my best, I promise you that. Mom: We're very grateful. I just wish we could pay you. Musher: Ma'am, there is no cost for saving a life. Rosie grabs onto his waist. Rosie: (crying) Take care of my Dad, okay? Don't let anything happen to him. The Musher gently removes her and kneels down to look her in the eye. Musher: I'll do my best. I promise. Meanwhile, Balto and the others go up to the sled team, talking to them. Kodi: I wish you would come with us dad. Balto: I’m not as fast as I once was. Kodi: Your still the best to me dad. Seth: Hey Balto maybe I can beat you now. Balto: (laughs sarcastically) I’m not that old. Kodi: I don’t know dad. Seth is very fast. Balto: Really? Dusty: Oh yeah. He beat me in a race. Ralph: Same here. Balto: I guess I can see you race sometime Seth. Seth: Cool! Balto: Kodi? Kodi: Yeah, Dad? Balto: (sighs) Just please save him. Kodi: We will dad. Kodi rubs his head under his father’s chin. Kodi: I still wish you would come. Jenna: He would go Kodi. But look at Rosie. All the dogs look over to Rosie and see her clinging to her mother. We get a close up of her tears. Jenna: She needs your dad more than you do. Kodi is silent for a long moment as his look is sad when he looks to Rosie. Kodi: Your right, mom. I guess I was just thinking of myself. Balto: Its goanna get bad out there. Kodi: You can count on us dad. Kiko: Since Rosie’s dad is important to you, he’s important to all of us. Saba: That’s right! Dingo: Go show that damn storm who's boss! This gives of a spark that causes the group of dogs, including the sled team cheers and howl. Jenna and Balto take a few steps back as the Musher climbs onto the sled. Musher: Hee-yup, dogs. Mush! The sled team departs, and the small group watching stays until the whole lot have disappeared into the distance. Then Jenna goes to Rosie and her mother, rears up to lick Rosie's face, and then follows them inside. Balto looks behind him. Balto: Good luck, my son. He turns around and follows his family and friends into the house. Fade out- Kodi and the sled team struggling across rugged terrain as aforementioned. During an especially bad part of the storm they turn a corner. The path ahead of them runs along a deep ledge that looks over a canyon. Team member: Man, this weather's insane! And the snow out there's all but impossible! Kodi: I know, but we've got to keep going. We've got a job to do: getting John to Fairbanks before he dies. Team member: But what if he… Kodi: This man has a family back home! Were not goanna give up! Kodi pushes forward. But the sled passes over an ice patch. It slips back and forth and the musher loses his balance. He falls over and slips near the edge of the cliff. Kodi and Kiko leap out of there harness. They jump for the musher. But they are both to late. The musher falls off the cliff to his death. Some sad music plays. Kodi tightly cringes and stops. He turns to Kiko looks scared and shocked. Kodi then looks to his team and they look at him. They have worried looks on there faces and Kodi look back down the canyon. Kiko: What do we do Kodi? Kodi has his eyes closed and opens them and has a brave look on his face. Kodi: We keep going! Kiko: Are you sure? Team member: We’ll get lost! Kodi: I know the way to Fairbanks. I went there all the time during my mail team days. Team member: The storm is starting to get worse. We can lose the trail or freeze to death! Kodi snaps to the team member and walk over to him with his eyes squinted. The team member backs away in fear but Kiko pushes his butt forward with his head. The team looks back and then looks to Kodi in front of him just as fast. Kodi: If you keep complaining like this, I’m just goanna leave you out here in this storm. As long as you’re on my team, no one gives up. Got that!? Kiko: I’m with all the way Kodi! Kodi: That’s the spirit. Let’s go. Kodi sees John’s arm dangling over the sled. Kodi walks over and lift John’s arm up with his hand. John barley opens his eyes and looks at Kodi. He rubs his hand across Kodi’s head. John: (weakly) Kodi…I believe in you. Kodi gets a relived look and rubs his nose across John’s face. Kodi and Kiko then jump back into there harness and uprising music plays. This would symbolize that Kodi is not goanna give up now matter what. He gets back into his harness and runs off. Fade In- Chapter 7- Into the wild EXT- Panorama Shot of Nome-Sunrise Fade in- EXT- Balto’s boat Balto lies on his boat in tossing and turning under his dark brown blanket. He talks a little in his sleep. Balto: No... No, not again... The shot zooms in towards Balto's head, as if entering through his very skull. He sees the sled team, lost and wandering. A distant sound sends them running, but another changes their course. Another comes, and another, the indistinct sounds becoming the howls of wolves. One by one, the howls draw tight like a noose as the team skids to a stop, paralyzed with fright. The wolves emerge from the midst, large and menacing. One wolf figure with blood red glowing eyes, steps forward, only his eyes and his teeth plainly visible. He growls, then lunges for Kodi like a demon. The two struggle, and after a moment they dissolve into a churning whirlpool, drawing Balto in as he fights for anything to hold onto. But despite his struggles, he is pulled screaming into the vortex. Then he wakes up. Boris: (panicked by the screams) what, what, what is it? (Recovers himself and sees Balto panting) Oh, it is you, boy chick. What is the problem now? (Balto gasps.) Balto: Boris, I saw them. Boris: Saw what? Balto: The sled team. Kodi, Kiko the others. They were taking Rosie's dad, they were on the trail but then they were surrounded and attacked... by wolves. Boris: (propping forehead against feather tips) Oh no, not again. Every time you are having bad dream, something happens. Balto: No. No, I can't let it happen. They're going to die if I don't do something. Boris: Balto, I...! (Stops) No, no I’m not going to stop you. Balto: First good news I've heard in a while. Boris: But I am not going to tell Jenna for you this time. It was bad enough having to do that when Aleu ran away. Balto: Don't remind me. (Sighs) Before I go…I should let her know where I'm going. (He runs down gangplank of boat and heads to her house.) Boris: (looking after him) Good luck, boychick. Fade In- Balto runs up to Jenna house. He stops a few meters away from the front porch and howls. Out of the dog door, appears Jenna with Saba, Kiona and Dusty. Jenna: (yawning) Balto, It’s early. Saba: What are you doing here? Balto: (in a rush) Jenna, I had a dream. I'm not sure what it meant, but something tells me Kodi and the others are in trouble. Jenna: What? Dusty: Kodi? Kiona: Take chill pill, dad. What happened in the dream? Balto: The team was lost and they were…attacked by a wolf pack. Saba: What? Are you sure? Balto: Yes, Saba. I have to go help them. Kiona: You could get killed, dad! Balto: Kiona, the last I ignored my dreams, I almost lost Aleu. I won’t let that happen again. Saba: Then go save our brother, dad. He nods to his daughter and then to Dusty. He then moves his head to Jenna.) Jenna: (looking into his eyes, then at the ground) I wish I could come with you. Balto: Jenna, I... Jenna: But I have to stay here. Rosie and her mom need me right now. Kiona: Well all stay for Rosie. That’s the most we can do. Balto: (hanging his head then nuzzles Jenna) I'm sorry. But I have to do this, and I have to do it now before I lose any more time. Jenna: I know you do, but just promise me you'll be okay. Balto: (smiles in spite of the situation) I promise. But...(snickers) I wont go alone. The girls look at him in confusion. The shot then sifts to Stark sleeping on his back porch. Balto slips through a whole in the fence. He then walks up to his son. Balto: Hey, Stark! Stark wakes up startled. Stark: Huh…who, what!? Dad? What’s up? We then shift to Dingo walking through town. He sees his father and Stark running right at him. Dingo: Dad, Stark what’s up? We shift to Seth running on the beach. We zoom out and see Balto alone standing on a hill Balto: Wow. He is fast. Balto then walks down and up to Seth who has his back turned. Seth sees Balto’s shadow and turns around. Seth: Hey, Balto. Balto: Hi Seth. Seth: Did you come to see me race? Balto: I just watched you and you are really fast. Almost as fast as Kodi. Seth: You think so? I should race him when he gets back. Balto: (sighs) Seth. I have a problem. Seth: With what? Balto: I think Kodi and the team are in danger. Seth: What!? Balto: But don’t worry I’m going to help them. Stark and Dingo are going with me. There at there mother’s. Seth: Then what are you doing here? Balto: I need to ask you a favor? Seth: For you…anything. I’d do for anything for the one that saved my life. Balto: You mean when I…? Seth: Wait. Balto stops. Seth: I’d rather not talk about it. But thanks to you I have best friends anyone could ask for. Balto I owe you my life. What ever you need, you got it. Balto: I want to watch over Jenna and the others while I’m gone. Seth: Why? Do you think something bad is goanna happen to them? Balto: I don’t know. But the last time I ignored my dreams I almost lost my daughter. I don’t want to take that risk with my whole family. Seth: Then you can count on me! He holds out his paw in front of Balto. Balto gives Seth a high five. We zoom in on there paws when they high five. Fade in- Outside of Jenna’s house. Balto, Stark, and Dingo standing one side and Jenna, Ralph, Kiona, and Saba on the other side with the house at there back. Jenna comes up and nuzzles Balto. Jenna: Be careful, Balto. Balto: I will. Stark: All of us will, Mom. Dingo: And we not let Kodi die out there. Or Rosie’s dad. Jenna: Then good luck to all of you. They all turn and head off into the night. They all have one last look (an epic sort of look, like there posing) at the others. The turn and run into the night. Chapter 8- Monster hunt We then go to a view of Nome form the outskirts. We are able to see the mountains and they sky. The sky changes from night to day and then back to night. This is one day later. Jenna lies at home on Rosie's bed. Rosie is at the window with her mother. Both of them have sad looks on there faces. She clambers down and nudges Rosie's arm, hoping to comfort her. Rosie forces a smile and pets Jenna's head briefly, then the smile fades and she resumes her vigil. Jenna goes downstairs and outside, proceeds to wander around. She passes by Balto’s boat (We get a close up of her and zoom in on her face. A white flash appears and we see softened sound clips of Balto pups when they were young). We get another white flash and we get another close up of Jenna and she walks on with her head lowered. Some time later, she walks in front the hospital (head, ears, and tail still low) She gazes over and looks at the building. (We get another close up shot of her face the same as last time. The white flash appears and the sound is softened. She remembers her watching Balto pull the up to the hospital with the medicine.) The flashback ends and she blinks a tear but wipes it off. She goes on. At last she reaches the boiler room entrance and, rather than looking in, she looks up above the rooftops and sees the Aurora in the night sky. Jenna: (wondering aloud) where are you, Balto? When will you come home? She lowers her head, closes her eyes she hears a floorboard creek. Jenna: Hmm? Voice: Still beautiful as ever, Jenna. Jenna turns and sees Steele there, looking at her smugly. Jenna’s whole body tenses up, eyes widen, and her mouth opens. (Some dark dramatic music play) She steps away, ears flat. Jenna: What are you here!? You were banished. Steele: I came back to give you another chance. Come on, Jenna, you know I’m better than that wolf-dog could hope to be. Jenna: (growling) Balto is ten time the dog you’ll ever be! Steele: (glowering) Bad choice, Jenna. Jenna still stands her ground and shows off an evil growl. She even show her grinding teeth. Steele: Why did you choose a half breed over me!? Jenna stops growling and smirks a little bit. She quietly chuckles/ Jenna: I guess my taste runs more toward…wolf. Steele lunges for her. She re-acts by jumping out of the way and watches Steele crash on the floor. She turns and bolts out of the room. Steele gets back up and runs after her. In the middle of her desperate attempt to evade Steele Jenna thankfully runs into the town's messenger, Doc. Jenna: Thank goodness you're here Doc! Doc: What and earth is wrong, Jenna? Jenna: Steele’s back! Doc: What!? Jenna: Seriously, Doc, he's back. He attacked me near the hospital. Doc: We must alert the other dogs at once. Come on! Jenna and Doc quickly sprint. The scene changes to a little later where many dogs are seen in the boiler room. Doc and Jenna come up and stand before the crowd. The town's resident's notice the look of concern on their faces. Doc: Attention everyone! I'm afraid we have bad and urgent news. Jenna: Steele back! He attacked me not to long ago. There are many loud mumbles. Jenna: I think he's out for revenge. Random Citizen: What should we do? Doc: If any of you see him, come to me. Jenna: If he is not stopped, I'm concerned someone will get hurt or killed if he attacks again. Doc: And if he is seen we will send out dogs that are brave enough to drive Steele out. There is a long moment of silence. Among the crowd, many look scared, shake there heads back and forth. Doc: Meaning someone here must he brave enough to make sure Steele never comes back. The crowd is silent still. Jenna: Please guys, we really need to track him down as soon as possible. Dogs start speaking up, some faster than others. Nikki, Kaltag and Star come up, out of the crowd. Nikki: Were in. Kaltag: He was the most discussing, the lowest, the…the…. Star: He was mean! Kaltag: He said it. Cheers erupt from all around the room. Then out of the crowd another husky comes up. He has dark brown fur and a light brown underside. He also has an eye patch over his right eye. The cheering stops and there are many whispers among the crowd. Random citizen: (Quietly) it’s Oslo. Jenna: Oslo? Oslo: Going after Steele? I’m in. Doc: Are you sure? You only have one good eye left. I don’t think you should take a risk of losing it to a monster like Steele. Oslo: It’s because of Steele that only have one good eye. I’m going. That is…if Jenna will let me. The attention of the room turns to Jenna. She puts her head down a bit and moves her eye balls around. She looks back up. Jenna: Yes. Just be careful. Oslo: Then let’s go get him! Star: Wait, now? Oslo: His scent is still fresh. I track him down. Doc: Then good luck to all of you. Nikki: Tonight he's goin' down, let’s go get'em boys! The level of supporting cheers and commotion goes through the roof at the trio's statements. With this, the brave souls set off into the night. We shift to the woods where the group is traking Steele. Star: Guys, I get the feeling we're goin the wrong way. Oslo: I still have his scent. He won’t get away. And when I find him…he’s never goanna bother Nome ever again. Kaltag: Hey, Oslo can I ask you something? Oslo: What? Kaltag: What you said back at the boiler room. What did you mean when said that you only have one good eye? Oslo stops dead in his tracks and looks back to the three. He sighs and moves his paw over his eye patch. Oslo: He did this to me. Nikki: What happened? Oslo: I was in a race. My team was winning. But Steele’s team got up behind us and he pushed our wheel dog. Star: That cheater! Oslo: I lost my balance. I slipped out of my harness and I slid across the ground. And there was a huge stone in my way. All three: Ewww! Oslo: I know. I swore that I would make Steele pay. But I was still at the vets during the diphtheria incident. Kaltag: He’d better pay for what he did. Oslo: Then let’s keep going. A few hours later and a few hours from Sunrise, they finally get a positive scent lead on Steele and break into a full on charge. Oslo: Guys, guys! Good news! He’s close! They all charge forward, and after a few minutes at top speed they find their target in a clearing. They see a black and white figure standing in the very middle looking right at them. The 3 in unison: STEELE!!! Steele squints Steele: I had feeling they would send someone to find me. But I never thought it they would send three losers and a pirate. Oslo: Give up Steele, it ends here. Steele: What are you talking about? Star: You came into Nome tonight and almost hurt Jenna. Steele: Hurt Jenna? Come on. I was trying to scare her. That would cause that Balto to come after me. Oslo: Bad news for you. Balto left town yesterday. He’s got better things to worry about. Steele: Really? Where did he go? Oslo: Like we’ll tell you. Remamber, you were banished from Nome. If you ever tried to come back you’d be destroyed. And I’m here to do that. Steele: Bring it on, you wuss! Oslo: That’s why I’m here. Steele: You'll never take me down. Oslo: We’ll see about that. They charge. Then the fight really gets brutal, Steele lets his guard down for a millisecond and before he can make his next move, Oslo makes one really well timed blow to his side and pins him against a large rock formation in the clearing. Oslo: Had enough yet? Steele: Not even close. Oslo: Then you leave me no choice. He unleashes a fury of brutal attacks at Steele, hoping to knock some kind of sense into that worthless traitor that betrayed him and the others so many years ago, the cheers from the others get progressively louder as the fight reaches its climax. After a few huge well placed blows Steele finally snaps and lashes back in an equally powerful rage. But in his rage he misses several times, and receives a few equally nasty blows. One of Oslo's shots misses, leaving an opening for Steele to attack. Steele grabs Oslo by one of his rear feet in the same way he did to Balto during their Cliffside fight. Oslo gets hurled against the rock and slides down the hill on his back. He is dazed, but not unconscious. Oslo recovers quickly from that blow, now even more enraged than before and the brutality reaches an all time high as the now two continue to exchange heavy blows at one another, the scene getting uglier and Uglier, the hits coming faster and faster with each hit, both eventually begin showing signs of fatigue and exhaustion but both are too fueled by rage to even notice. Steele: What did I tell you? You messed with the bull, and now you got the horns! Oslo: You think a little hit against a rock like that is goanna stop me? Steele: It stopped you last time. Hearing this give of a spark that sends Oslo into ferocious scream. The two begin exchanging blows at one another again. This time Oslo is beyond enraged and lays down 3 really accurate head blows to Steele's face, one of which is so hard it messes with his vision for a moment. Eventually, both land a powerful uppercut that connects successfully. They lose their balance and fall over backwards, unconscious. Star: Is it over yet? Nikki: I don’t know bud; I just don't know… Kaltag: I just want this to end. With the long period of silence the fight seems like it is over, but after about a moment, both recover from the blows they exchanged at one another. And it's on once more. Oslo: this isn't over, Steele... Steele: Bring it on, traitor! Star and Nikki in unison: Look who's calling who a traitor. Steele: Shut up, you two! Once again Steele lets his guard down giving Oslo the upper hand. They exchange a few really brutal blows at one another, and eventually hit eachother hard enough in unison that they both knock eachother over, the first one to recover can deliver the finishing blow in this. Oslo recovers, and delivers one final blow that knocks the wind out of Steele, and he finally decides he's had enough and runs off into the distance...and thus the team begins to celebrate the victory. Oslo: (in a proud and victorious voice) We did it boys, redemption is… All of the sudden, he starts to cough. After a couple heavy coughs, blood starts to burst out of his mouth. Then Oslo starts to lose his footing and he faints. Kaltag: Oh crap. Nikki: We get him back to Nome. Kaltag and Star put Oslo on Nikki’s back. They walk out of sight and we go over to Steele’s body. We zoom in on his face and his eyes open. He struggles to get up. He does so and starts to walk the way the others were heading. But he is limping. We are seeing Steele from behind and we zoom out. After the shot backs up a bit, a paw steps into view. Steele hears this. Steele: Hmm? He turns his whole body around. Steele: And you are? The shot zooms out and we get a full view. It’s Niju. (SFX for when we get a full shot of Niju is a loud DOOOM sort of sound. Niju: Lets just say were brothers. Steele: What!? Niju: I mean brothers of the same cause. The look on Steele’s face turns from confused to sinister. Fade in- Nikki, Kaltag and Star running towards Nome. They get close to the first few buildings and see Doc and Ralph. They close to them. Ralph: What happened? Nikki: Oslo had a fight with Steele. We chased him away, but then he suddenly blacked out and now he appears to be unconscious. Doc: Let’s get him to the vets. Ralph: Can I help? Doc: Sure. The other dogs move Oslo so that he is laying perpendicular to Ralph and Doc. They eventually resume their trip to the vet's office. They eventually arrive. We have shot of the whole street. We see the dogs run into the vets. Fade out- Chapter 9- Family reunion The screen then opens back up and we see that Kodi’s team is running hard. Random team member: Kodi! Can we stop we’ve been running for almost a day. Kodi: And we're not stopping at least until nightfall. John is counting on us! Random team member: But Kiko could get tired. With out him we have no strength. Kiko: I’m right here you know. And even if my feet start to bleed, I’m not stopping. They keep running for a bit and we get a close up on Kodi’s face. Then his eyes. The looks on his eyes turn from a determined look to a shocked look. Kodi: Stop!! The whole team stops. Kiko: What’s going on Kodi? Team comes to a haphazard. Kodi looks around and turns to his team. Kodi: Were not alone. Then all of the sudden, wolves attack from sides and head them off, forcing them to stop midway through an attempted turn. The sled capsizes sending John to the ground. John tumbles out of the sled. Kodi looks back and forth at the wolves surrounding them. Wolf 1: (growling face-to-face with Kodi) Turn around, sled dog. Kodi: We can't! We have to go through this way. Wolf 1: I don't think so. Kodi: Look, we're not here for any trouble. We just want to pass through and be on our way. Wolf 2: We’re calling the shots here, not you. Wolf 1: So go back where you came from, or this is goanna get ugly. Voice off-screen: Too late for that! Wolf 1 lunges for Kodi. Kodi closes his eyes. Angle on- Wolf 1 All of the sudden, Wolf 1 is pushed out of the way by something that comes in to fast for anyone to see. Kodi opens his eyes and sees Wolf 1 wrestling another wolf. Kodi looks around him and sees all the other wolves that were surrounding him being attacked by other wolves. It’s a massive ambush. After a brief struggle with plenty of biting, the aggressors beat a retreat. Kodi looks at one of the wolves in front of him who has its back turned. That wolf chased away Wolf 1. The wolf has his back turned. Kodi: Thanks (he says confused). Wolf in front of him: (Kind and enforcing) anytime. It turns around and reveals to be Aleu. She and Kodi gasp at the same time. Kodi: I don’t believe it! Aleu? (Pauses and takes a few steps forward) Is it…I mean is it really you? Aleu: Kodi. It is me! They get close and rub there necks. With many wolfs and the sled team see this. Aleu: I can't believe this. What the heck are you guys doing out here? Kodi: What are you doing here? Dad said you crossed some ocean or something. An ice bridge, right? Aleu: It reformed. After that we came around here looking for new territories to claim. Kodi: Who were those guys? Aleu: Alki’s pack, they attack anyone who crosses into their territory. Kodi: (pushing against John’s arm to try and get him back on the sled) well I don't care who this Alki guy is, we've got to get through, and fast. This man is dying. Aleu: You can't make it through tonight. The nearest pass up ahead is deep in Alki’s territory. And there's a blizzard on the way too. Kodi: We better get a move on, then. Aleu: Come with us. We have some caves you can stay safe in until we find a way to get you through. Kodi: (desperate) Aleu, we don't have that kind of time! Aleu: You don't have a choice either. And he's not going to last long out in a blizzard. Nor are you. Kodi looks at her with a “fine” kind of look on his face. Kodi: Fine. The sled team gets there harnesses back on and follow Aleu and the other wolves. Fade in- At a cave on top a large mountain, The sled team lays near the eantace sitting around the sled with John asleep. A few team members around and see many wolves staring at them. Team member: We shouldn’t be here guys. We’re a sled team, there a wolf pack. We could get killed. Kiko: Did you lose some of your hearing back at the ambush? The pack’s is Aleu. She’s Balto’s daughter. Kodi told me she ran away years ago. Balto went looking for her and he came back saying she found the place she really belongs. Team member: Leading a wolf pack? Kiko: Correct. She and Kodi are talking right now. What ever there talking about is there business. Kodi and Aleu stand on the edge of a cliff looking out at the landscape Aleu: I still can’t believe you’re here. Kodi: Nor can I. Aleu: (a curious tone) so…how’s mom and dad? Kodi: There fine. Not much has changed since you left. Oh, but dad get to fly in a plane once. Aleu: Really? Wow. Sound exiting. So what are you doing out here? This area can get pretty dangerous for sled dogs. Kodi: Aleu. It’s great to see my long lost sister again. Really. But I don’t have time for this. Aleu: You don’t? Kodi: No. If John dies I can never face mom, dad or any other dogs or human ever again. He’s Rosy’s dad. Aleu: Mom’s human? Kodi: Right. Aleu: Then…this is a bad time for you guys to be here. Kodi: What are you talking about? You mean that Alki or what ever his name is? Aleu: Exactly. He has the most territory in Alaska. And the size of his pack is massive. But the worst part is… they kill anyone who comes into there territory. Kodi: Seriously!? Who is this Alki guy? Aleu: No one knows. To be honest, I don’t think even his pack has ever seen him in person. Kodi: There’s no other way to Anchorage. If we waist time here, John will just get worse and he’ll die. Aleu: Yes. But…I can try to send a message to Alki’s pack. Maybe they can allow you to pass through. Kodi: Thanks Aleu. Aleu smiles at him. But for only a second. The look on her face turns for happy to suspicious. Kodi: What? Aleu: Do you smell that? Kodi sniffs the air. He and Aleu look at each other. Kodi and Aleu: (in unison) Dad! Smash cut- Chapter 10- Family Reunion Pt.2 Balto is wandering through the woods, sniffing back and forth for traces of the team's scent. On his left flank is Dingo and Stark on his right. Balto sees Dingo walk up to him. Dingo: Got anything, dad? Balto: They were here. Dingo: Recently? Balto: Yes. Very Stark: Were getting closer to them. They here a twig snap. All three of them quickly jump into defensive poses. Balto: Who’s there!? Kodi slowly walks out of the bushes. Dingo: Kodi? Balto: What are doing here? You should be with the sled team. Kodi: Dad. We hit a bit of a roadblock on the way. Stark: What are you talking about? And where is the rest of the team? Kodi: There ok…but our musher fell over a cliff. Balto: He died? Kodi: Yes. But we kept going. Then…we were attacked by wolves. Balto: (Quietly to himself) just like my dream. Kodi, then what? Kodi: Well… Dingo: Spit it out. What happened? Kodi: I think I better show you. The team and I were saved. And who saved us is the hard part. He turns his head back. Kodi: You can come out now. Aleu slowly walks out the bushes. Balto, Dingo and Stark freeze up. Balto: Aleu? Stark: No way. Dingo: Is this for real!? Aleu: Papa. A tear runs down her face and Balto walks right up to her. She rubs the top of her head under his chin. Stark and Dingo come up and do the same. Balto: So you came back? Aleu: Yup. Stark: Mom will never believe this. I don’t believe this. Balto: Why didn’t you come back to Nome? Aleu: Papa, you have no idea how much I wanted to. But my clan needed me more. As soon as we returned more and more wolves joined us. And things keep going the same way as they are right now, we can all die. Dingo: Why? What’s going on? Kodi: There’s some other pack that won’t let anyone pass through. They tried to kill the team but Aleu and she saved us. Stark: So you’re just stranded in this place? Kodi: Pretty much. For now until we can figure out what to do. Balto: Maybe I can talk to the leader of the pack that attacked you. Who is he? Aleu: I don’t know who he is. He’s known as Alki around here. Dingo: So what do we do? Aleu: We should get back to our cave. There we can figure out what to do. The four follow Aleu’s lead and follow her back to the cave. Fade in- Wolf 1 and 2 come up to a two animal’s one a black and blue wolf and the other a black and white canine. Wolf 1: Niju. The black and blue wolf responds to that name and turns around and walks forward. It reveals to be Niju. Niju: What? Wolf 2: We tried to stop a sled team from coming through. But some wolves attacked us. Niju: What? Another pack. In our territory? Wolf 1: Yes sir. We were holding a sled team back when a bunch of others jumped us. Niju: Why exactly was there a sled team in the area? Wolf: 1: Something about a sick man. The canine behind Niju points his ears up. He comes out of the shadows and reveals to be Steele. Steele: Who was at the lead the team? Wolf 2: Niju, who the hell is this? Niju: Relax. Steele and I share common goals. I thought he could have been of some help to us. Steele: Who was at the lead of this sled team? Wolf 2: He was a red and white husky. Steele: Good. It seems all our targets are coming together. Niju: What do you mean? Steele: That was Balto’s son you saw. Niju: And those wolves that attacked you, were they skilled fighters? Wolf 1: Very. They even had a girl leading them. Wolf 2: She was all gray and… Niju: That’s her!! Steele: Who’s her? Niju: The one that stole my future as leader of the pack she now leads. Steele: So when do we attack? Niju: Not yet. Steele: Why? Niju: I have a feeling that more our targets are goanna end up in the same spot. You two! Wolf 1 and 2: (unison) yes? Niju: Keep a close eye on the pack. Wolf 1: Got it. Both wolves run off. Steele: Why don’t we attack them now? Niju: Because if Balto is with his daughter…then the rest of his family would be along shortly. Fade in- Chapter 11- The missing team’s rescue group INT- Nome, Vet’s office- Oslo sleeping on an examination table Oslo slowly regains consciousness. He looks around himself and sees a few casts. He moves his arm and it does not hurt at all. He hears footsteps and the vet comes in. Vet: Wow you’re awake already? When you came in, you were practically dead. Then again, it’s not the first time. But anyway, let’s have a look. The vet gets closer to Oslo. We back away from that and go over to a vent that leads under the hospital. Where Oslo's supporters listen to what the vet says on their injured comrade. The dogs under the floor are Jenna, Dusty, Kiona, Seth, Saba, Ralph, Doc, Nikki, Kaltag and Star. Seth: Well what how is it? Jenna: Shh. We go back up and see the vet take off the casts and bandages on Oslo. Vet: Whoa. You have healed well. Oslo looks and sees that there are no wounds on him. Oslo (thinking): How is this possible? Vet: It’s like nothing even happened to you. And since you’re here now, maybe we can have a look at the eye of yours. Over the shoulder- The vet pulls off the eye patch. The fill shot of Oslo’s face is not seen. The vet move is hand over the eye and Oslo whimpers a bit. Vet: It’s all right boy. The vet stops checking Oslo’s eye and puts the eye patch back on. The vet steps out of the way and we see Oslo with his eye patch back on. He pants and looks over to the vet writing his report down on a counter. Then he goes back up Oslo and lifts him off the table and on to the floor. Vet: Ok then Oslo. Let’s see how well you can move. Just walk around the room for me. Oslo responds and walks a few times around the room just like the vet says. At one point he even walks over the vent where his admirers are watching. They watch in amazement. Oslo goes back to the vet and he pats Oslo on the head. Vet: Good boy! Come on. I think you well to go home Oslo. There are many silent cheers from under the floors. We see the vet lead Oslo out of the hospital where the others wait to greet him. The vet lets Oslo out and closes the door behind him. They gather around Oslo and congratulate him. After some of the commotion dies down, Seth yawns. Seth: I think that’s enough excitement for one night. Saba: Same here I’m goanna turn in. Jenna: I’m goanna go to the boiler room and warm up. Kiona: I think I’ll join you mom. Saba: Me too. Dusty: Can I come too? Jenna: Sure. Kiona, Saba, Dusty and Ralph follow Jenna. While all the others go there separate way they say there good nights. Seth walks down the dark, lightly windy, snow covered street. A few lights from some buildings are still on, witch provides light for Seth. He stops in front of the telegraph office and sees the lights on. And he hears some beeping coming from inside. He turns the direction he was walking in and goes toward the building. Seth: Huh? That’s weird. The telegraph office is never open this late. He walks up to the front door and peeks his head in through the small dog door. He peeks in and sees the operator at his desk. Man: Nome. Sled team is half a day late. Stop. Storm coming in, to dangerous to send out a search party. Stop. Out prayers are with them. Stop. We go back to Seth with a shocked look on his face. He bolts down the street and heads to the boiler room. We go to the boiler room and see Jenna, Kiona, Saba, Dusty and Ralph. Kiona: I’m glad Oslo’s ok. Ralph: Steele should be dead if Oslo lived through a fight like that. Jenna: Good riddance to Steele. I’ve had enough of him. Dusty: Do think Balto will be able to find the team. Saba: If my dad has Dingo and Stark with them, they are sure to find them. Dusty: Are you sure? Kiona: If one thing that Dingo has is my father’s passion to protect the ones he loves. Dusty: Really? Saba: She’s right and Stark’s strength is unimaginable. Ralph: I’m just glad I can get some peace and quiet now. Ralph closes his eyes and Seth bursts in. Seth: Guys we got a problem! Ralph: Or not. Dusty: What now, Seth? Kiona: It’s been a hell of a night. Can it wait till morning? Seth: No! Jenna: What is then? Seth: The team….the team has not made it to Fairbanks yet. There a day late. Jenna: What!!? Dusty: (quietly) Kodi. Saba: How do you know that? Seth: I overheard the telegrapher getting a message from Fairbanks. I the team’s lost and Balto and the others haven’t found them. If they did the team would already be there. Jenna lunges forward and heads to the door. The others get up. Saba: Mom where you going!? Jenna: I’m going to find them. Kiona: But mom you don’t… Jenna: Kiona. Half of my family is out there in the cold and maybe freezing to death for all we know. I’m going and there’s nothing you can do to stop me. Jenna starts to walk in to Seth’s path but he gets in her way. Much to everyone’s shock. Jenna: (Very serious and threatening) Get out of my way Seth. Seth: I told Balto I would watch over you. And if you’re going…so am I. Saba: So am I. Kiona: Me too. Dusty: I’m not goanna let Kodi die out there. Ralph points his ears up when he hears this and stands up. He looks at Dusty for a few seconds and turns his head to the others. Ralph: Uhh guys can I have a moment with Dusty? Dusty looks back to him confused. Jenna: Sure Ralph. We’ll wait out side. Everyone leaves Dusty: What is Ralph? Can you make it fast? Ralph: There’s something I want to tell you. Dusty: Yes? Ralph: I love you. Dusty makes a quick gasp raises her shoulders. She stands still. She then relaxes her body and walk towards Ralph. She leans her forward and slowly rubs her face along his cheek. Ralph takes the moment and does the same. Dusty then steps away and looks at him. Dusty: (sighs) Ralph…I do love you. Ralph slightly lowers his head and lifts it back up. He stairs at her and looks into her eyes. It takes him a moment to get what she is trying to say. But then it hits him. Ralph: But you love him more than me. Right? Dusty: I do. You’re my best friend. And I’ll always love you. But I won’t love you any more than that. Kodi is the one who I love the most. Hearing this, Ralph lowers his head and closes his eyes. Dusty walks up to him and nuzzles him. Ralph smiles and then looks at Dusty’s face. Ralph: Then go and get him. Dusty: I will. Dusty then quickly leans forward, closes her eyes, and licks the tip of Ralph’s nose. She turns and runs out the door. Ralph: Good luck. Fade out- Chapter 12- The truth INT-Alaskan tundra- Sunrise- Aleu’s cave Balto sleeps on the ground. The bottom half of his body is inside the cave and the top half is outside. The sunlight beams down on Balto’s face and he tightens his eyes when that happens. He slowly opens his eyes and stands up. He stretches his body. He then turns his head and look around the inside of the cave. He sees Kodi, Aleu, Stark, Dingo and Kiko sleeping near by. Balto gets up and walks out of the cave and steps on to a ledge. His eyes are still a bit drowsy as looks out for a few second and hears some footsteps from behind him. He gasps and jumps and sees Aleu, Kiko and Dingo. Aleu: Papa? Balto: (catching his breath) Oh. It’s you guys. Kiko: Did we scare you old man? Balto: Yeah. Now I’m definitely awake. And I’m that old! Dingo: Anyway, did you sleep all right? Balto: It was ok. But I don’t get how can sleep on the ground so much. Aleu: You get used to it. You miss Nome don’t you. Dingo: And mom of course. Balto: Yeah I do. But once we find a way to get John to Anchorage, we can go home. Dingo: That reminds me, what are you goanna do Aleu? Aleu looks at him confused. Aleu: What’d you mean? Dingo: Are you come home any time soon at least for a visit? Kiko: Your mother would love to see you. Aleu: I have been thinking about that. I think I will. But until then we should focus on what’s going on now. Balto: That messenger you sent has been gone a while. Dingo: Well what do expect? Aleu: Remember, no one knows anything about Alki. He’s practically a ghost. Kiko: I doubt this guy exists. Balto: I think you’re right. Kiko: You do? Balto: Well think about it. No one has ever seen this guy so it could be possible. Dingo: That’s stupid. Aleu: Alki as more territory than any other wolf clan in the tundra. Someone like this just can’t be…made up. All of the sudden every one jumps at the sound of a loud howl. Aleu: Shadow!? Balto: Who’s Shadow? Aleu: He’s my second in command of the pack. I thought sending in the strongest member of my pack would be the safest. And I guess I was right. They all look down the slope and see a jet black wolf jump out of the tree line. He runs up the hill and approaches the group. He stops in front of Aleu and is heavily breathing. Shadow: Aleu… Aleu: Shadow. Just take a second and catch your breath. Shadow does so and then collects his thoughts. Shadow: Ok. I was deep in there territory and I was jumped. I told my attacks that I message for Alki. And they took me to him. Dingo: You saw Alki? Balto: What did he look like? Shadow: Now that’s were I have bad news. (Pauses and gets a suspicious look on his face) and who the hell are you? I can that you’re not a wolf or a dog for that matter. Aleu: Shadow, this is my father and my brother. Shadow: Wow! Then let me say I have absolute full respect for the both of you. Aleu has told me everything about you. Dingo: She has? Shadow: Duh. If its one thing that she talks about the most is how much she misses her family. Dingo and Balto turn to Aleu and they smile at her. They feel relieved that Aleu has missed them as much as the misses her. Balto: So what were you saying about Alki? Shadow: There is no Alki. All: What? Kiko: What the heck is that supposed to mean? This guy doesn’t exist? Shadow: He does exist. But that’s not his real name. Balto: Then what is his real name? Shadow: Does the name Niju mean anything to you? Balto and Aleu widen there eyes, square there shoulders, open there mouths a bit and look at each other. Aleu: Niju!? Kiko: Who’s that? Balto: When Aleu was trying to take command of the pack, Niju wanted the same thing. Aleu: But he was so afraid of leaving his land he tried to stop me and papa. Dingo: And then you beat him? Balto: No. He ran off. Now it looks like he formed a new pack. A strong one for that matter. Kiko: It all fits into place. When he found out you came back to Alaska, he must have still had a lust for revenge. Balto: So all we have to do is fight Niju? Dingo: Fight? Aleu: I thought you always hated fighting? Balto: I do. But if Niju is involved in this there’s no way a fight can be avoided. Shadow: I have one last thing. Aleu: Go ahead. Shadow: While I was at the cave these was a dog there. A husky. He told me quote “ if Balto comes along, tell him Steele says hi.” Balto and Kiko: Steele!? Shadow: I take it that you know him. Balto: He’s the worst things that anyone could do. Kiko: My father is with a wolf pack now? Aleu: It only makes scene. Niju and Steele have the same goal. Dingo: The enemy of my enemy is my friend. Balto: Were not goanna to talk our way out of this. Dingo: We don’t have a choice. We’re really goanna have to fight them now. Voice: (Female voice) Then were going too! They all look behind them and see Jenna, Saba, Kiona, Dusty and Seth. Balto: Jenna? Aleu and Dingo: (Unison) mom!? Jenna: Aleu? Then out of the darkness of the cave, Kodi and Stark come out and see everyone. Stark and Kodi: (in unison) Mom!? Dusty: Kodi! Kodi: Dusty? Stark: Kiona, Saba? Dingo: Seth? Kiko: Kiko! They all turn there heads, smirk annoyed, and half close there eyes at him. Kiko: What? That was getting annoying. Jenna: (silent for a second and takes a step forward) Aleu…is it really you? Aleu steps forward and smiles at Jenna. Aleu: It is me mom. Jenna: Aleu! Jenna and all the girls rush up to Aleu and nuzzle her and talk over each other. Seth is on there right flank is smiles looking at the girls. He turns his head to Balto and the guys. He nods his head and they nod back. Seth walks up to them. Dingo: Why are you all here? Seth: A message came through. It said that Kodi’s team has not made it yet. Jenna was worried that you and Balto did not find the team. So she was going so was I and Saba, Kiona and Dusty as well. Stark: The gang is all here. Shadow: So Aleu this is your family? Aleu: Pretty much. Jenna: I’m sorry but who are you? Shadow: Shadow. Second in command of Aleu’s pack. And seeing that this is sort of a family moment, I think I’ll leave you all alone. With that, Shadow leaves and Aleu watches him. She looks at him leave like she is spacing out. Kiko is seeing this and goes to Aleu. Kiko: You like him don’t you? Aleu: W…w…what? No. Well…. Kiko: I can tell when someone likes you and you like them. Aleu: Oh you can? Kiko: Of course, sister. Just look at that. Chapter 13- Kodi and Dusty forever Aleu gazes over and sees Kodi and Dusty looking at each other. They aren’t moving aat all. They just stand frozen, gazing into each other’s eyes. They are in the middle of everyone talking. Kodi: Hi. Dusty: Hey. Kodi: What are you doing here? It’s too dangerous. Dusty: I came here because I wanted to say something to you. But can we do it in private? Kodi: Yeah sure. (He looks back to Balto.) Hey dad!? Balto: Kodi? Kodi: Can I have a moment with Dusty? Balto: (cracks a small smile) Of course son. Let’s go in the cave everyone. They follow Balto in the cave. Before going in Saba and Kiona look back at Kodi and Dusty. They smile and go in. Kodi and Dusty sit at the edge of the cliff together. Kodi: So what is it? Dusty: I love you. Kodi freezes up. Kodi: You…you do? Dusty: (Scoffs annoyed) you’re so stupid! Remember after you won the race and I was talking to you about someone I really like? It was you. But you ran home when it was getting late before you could figure it out. Kodi: Whoa! I’m a jerk and moron. Dusty: Yes. But you’re my moron. Just as she says that, Dusty reaches her head out and rubs it under Kodi’s chin. He looks confused and shocked for a second or two. He smiles and closes his eyes and enjoys the moment. Dusty let lets go and the licks the side of his cheek. Kodi: Since were both opening our feelings to each other. I have something to tell you. Dusty: What? Kodi: There was a day where I was practicing running on the beach. I stopped at one point and I look down from a hill. I saw a husky staring out at the sea. She was most beautiful thing I ever saw. It was you…Dusty. Close up- Dusty has a few tears running down her face. Kodi: I love you Dusty. I always have. And always will. Dusty: (with a breaking voice) Kodi. She and Kodi passionately nuzzle each other while some very romantic music plays. We get a shot of them from behind and zoom back to the entrance of the cave where we see Jenna peeking out from a corner of the entrance. Balto walks up behind her with a curious look on his face. He peeks out and smiles. Balto: Young love. Jenna: It’s beautiful. Balto: Just like you. They back up from the entrance and walk through the cave. Balto looks over and sees John still on the sled. But many wolves and dogs are covering over his body. Balto has a very worried look on him. Jenna: We don’t have a lot of time. Do we? Balto: No we don’t. Time is against us. They keep walking and walk out another entrance to the cave. They sit side by side on a small cliff look at the beautiful Alaskan tundra. Balto: We’re running out of time Jenna. We need to get past Niju and Steele and get John to Fairbanks. There’s no way he can last more than a day. Jenna: Don’t give up Balto. You never gave up. Balto: I know. But with you and everyone here puts you all in great danger. Jenna: We’re your family Balto. Who knows maybe we’re all here for a reason. Voice: Jenna is right Balto. Chapter 13- Aniu Balto and Jenna stand up and look around. They see no one. They look at each other and see a shadow pass over there faces. They both look up and see a raven flying over them. The raven then flies right down to them. Balto: No way! Jenna: What? Balto: You better back up. Jenna: Why? What’s going on? Balto: Your about to meet my mother. Jenna: Your mother? Balto, what’s going on? Balto: You’ll see. They look back up and see the raven swoop down to them. They back away from the cliff and raven lands in on the edge. Fog forms around it and consumes the raven. The fog then turns into a small and low speeded cyclone. A paw steps out of the fog and Aniu slowly walks out of it. Balto has sort of a happy but socked look on his face, while Jenna is just plain shocked. Aniu takes a few steps and stops in front of Balto and Jenna. Balto: Mom. Aniu: Balto, my son. It has been a long time. Balto: I thought I would never see you again. Aniu: If you mean after Aleu found her destiny leading this wolf pack? Balto, as long as you keep the ones you love close to your heart, you’re never alone. Balto: I never thought of that. Jenna: Wait your Balto’s mother? How did you change from that bird into a wolf? I only herd things like those in stories. Is this some kind of dream? Aniu: It’s hard to explain Jenna. But let’s just say that there are a lot great things in this world that are too much for one person to know. Jenna: I understand. Balto: (curious tone) Why are you here now? Aniu: To see that all eyes are unclouded by darkness for the battle that is about to take place. Balto: Isn’t there a way you can make this fight not happen? Aniu: Unfortunately, no. This fight is unavoidable. Jenna: Then do what you can to help us. Aniu: By telling all I know about your enemies and how strong they have gotten and to free John of his illness. Balto: You can do that? Aniu: Yes. Balto: That’s amazing! Jenna: But won’t it be awkward if he wakes up in a cave filled with wolves? Aniu: Relax, Jenna. I’ll handle it all. Balto: What did you mean about the fight being unavoidable? Aniu: This fight will not only give you a chance to clear up the past. But also it’ll give you a chance to live in peace. Free ever having to worry about Steele coming back and hurting the ones you love. Niju has been planning his revenge for a long time as well. Balto: We know. They joined forces so they both would get what they would want right? Aniu: Right. There hate growers stronger by the minute. And the pack formed Niju is strong too. Jenna: How did he get so many others to follow him? Aniu: All I know is that he formed his pack so he could start over. It took some time but Niju had finally got what he had always wanted. To be the leader of the strongest wolf clan in existence. And so far, he has done just that. Balto: But he still wanted revenge on Aleu. Aniu: Exactly. His pack got bigger and bigger. But he chose is wolves wisely. Balto: What do you mean? Aniu: He went far and wide to in search of the wolves of his pack. And to be honest these wolves are way stronger than anything else in Alaska. Balto: Wow. Is this true? Aniu: It’s true. But do not worry. You Balto, with Aleu’s pack, and your children in this fight will end with you at the top. Balto: What did you say? Aniu: Your sons and daughters will each participate in the fight. Each of them has something worth fighting for that will keep them going. That is what makes them stronger. Balto: Wait! You them to fight too? No. Aleu’s pack is strong enough. I won’t put any more of my family or friends in danger. Not this time. Aniu: I understand, Balto. But they spirits are stronger than you think. Balto lowers his head to the ground and closes his eyes. Jenna looks worried and put her head down. She licks the side of Balto’s cheek and Balto tilts his head to her. He sees her smiling at him and all he can do is smile back. He raises his head up and looks to Aniu. Balto: (With confidence) All right. But I want your word that they’ll be safe. Aniu: I have never gone back on my word. Aniu: Very good. Aniu the drifts her head off and looks at the tundra. She then makes a sigh of regret. Aniu: That all I have come to say. I would stay longer. But I have many things to take care of. Good bye, my son. And you to Jenna. Balto: You’re leaving? Aniu: Time is short. Niju and Steele are almost ready. Balto: Bu…But I…. Aniu: I will see you again Balto. But be warned if this battle goes out of control the whole earth will shake. Goodbye. Keep me close…in your dreams. Aniu howls as a cyclone of fog surrounds her and the last thing Balto and Jenna see of her is her face (Still howling). The howls echoes into the wind and the fog travels past Balto and Jenna and in to the cave. When the fog passes by them there fur flows with the wind. They embrace the wind like a blessing and the fog travels into the cave. Jenna: That was incredible! I never… thought thing like this existed. Balto: Neither have I Jen. But we better get ready. Once we get the word…were off to war. We see the fog slowly pass through the cave where see many of the wolves and Balto’s family asleep. We also see Kodi sleeping with Dusty. She rest he head on his shoulder and smiles as she sleeps. The fog flies over to Kiko sleeping and passes over him. Kiko: (In his sleep) Jake, quit breathing over my shoulder. The fog then goes to John who is asleep on the sled and his head is sweating and is heavily breathing. And there are no wolves covering him. The fog then covers over John for a bit. The fog officially fads away and John is breathing normally and still asleep. Balto comes up and he and Jenna sniff the whole area around John. Balto: He’s all better. Jenna: It’s like he was never sick. Balto: Why don’t we get some rest? Jenna yawns. Jenna: (tired) that sound like a good idea. Balto and go to a rock wall and fall asleep side by side. Jenna opens ones of her eyes and looks at Balto. She lets her head up and moves it over Balto’s neck. She rests her head on it and Balto opens one of his eyes. He looks above him for second and falls asleep smiling. Fade Out- Chapter 14- Call to Battle Niju is walking out of his cave. He is at the lead with Steele a few feet behind him at his side. Behind them are several wolves. The shot goes to an over head shot of the entrance. Very dark music is played as more and more wolves exit the cave. We see some shots of the whole army for a bit. At one point we see the army enter a clearing. As they enter the clearing the shot zooms out and we see a wolf watching them from on top a mountain. Wolf: Oh no! He dashes from the cliff where he sees the army and goes to another and howls to the sky. The howl echoes to the cave where we see Balto and Jenna sleeping together and Kodi and Dusty sleeping together. Everyone wakes up and looks around. Many are sitting down when they see Aleu bolting for the entrance. Balto, Kiko, Stark, Dingo and Seth all leap up from different places of the cave and join Aleu at the outside. Balto: Aleu. What is it? Aleu: It’s one of my scouts. I always have a few stationed around so they can warn us of hunters or other pack come into our territory. But I told all my scouts to only watch for the Niju’s army. Seth: So there coming? Aleu: Right, Seth. Kiko: This Niju must be popular. How many wolves are with him? Balto: A lot from what we know. And there’s no doubt that Steele is with them. Kiko drifts off for a second comes back and smirks. Kiko: Then it must be my birthday. Dingo: Kiko. Hold on. I know what you’re thinking. Revenge is not the answer. Your better than that and you know it. Aleu: Did I miss something? Stark: (to Aleu) Kiko’s Steele’s son. If one thing he hates is being the son of the dog that almost let dozens of kids die. He probably hates Steele more than anyone. Aleu: Oh….Kiko. Kiko: Yes? Aleu: Do want to fight along side us? Kiko: Girlfriend. If Steele’s in this…nothing is goanna stop me form going. Period. He grunts as he turns his body and goes back into the cave. Aleu: Girlfriend? Stark comes up and whispers in her ears. Aleu: Oh! (She says stunned and excited) Ok…whatever. Balto: Look. Kiko’s strong. He can fight. Aleu: Very well. Dingo: I’ll go tell him. Dingo leaves. Stark: Should we get ready to? Aleu: Yes. Seth, Stark go get Shadow and he’ll get the pack ready. Then after that get Kiona, Kodi and Saba. Stark and Seth: (In unison) Right! What about me? What do I do? Aleu: Papa. In think for this fight its best if you’re the leader. Balto: What? Me? I can’t lead a wolf pack. A dog team I can lead. But a wolf pack was your destiny. Not mine. Aleu: Dad, I have leaded this through ice storms, hunting seasons and near starvation. But a battle like this there’s no one else who can do other than you. Balto: Are you sure? Aleu: You embraced your wolf side once before to save innocent lives. Now it’s time to do it again. Balto looks away and looks of the cliff. He watches the start of sunset. He nods his head forward a bit. After a few seconds he opens them back up and looks brave, majestic and ready. He finally turns back to Aleu. Balto: All right. I’ll do it. Fade In- In the cave, Kodi and Dusty look at each eye to eye. While around them, wolves are shouting and running all over the place. But Kodi and Dusty ignore them like they’re the only ones there. Dusty: Please be careful. For me? Kodi: Dusty…for you I keep fighting even my skin and fur was torn off my body. She rubs her nose along his cheek. The then moves her muzzle over to his ear where she whispers something in his ear. (We do not hear what she is saying to him). Close to when she is done, Kodi’s eyes widen. When she pulls away from him, he looks at her stunned. Kodi: Wow. For real? Dusty: Yes. Kodi: I will come back. He licks the tip of her nose and runs out of the cave. After Kodi runs outside Stark casually walks towards the exit. He gets close but then Seth comes up to him from the side. Stark: Seth. There’s no time to talk. Seth: I know. I’m ready. Stark: No. We already have Kiko coming. He wants to kill Steele that’s fine with us. But you don’t have a reason to fight an army of wolves. Seth: Actually, I do. Stark: What’d you mean? Seth: Before you guys left Nome Your dad wanted me to make sure your mom and your sister would be safe. Jenna is safe here. But Kiona and Saba are still at risk out there. And you and your family have done a lot for me. Where ever you go…I go. Stark: (reluctantly) Ok. But don’t try to get killed. I don’t want to see my friends and family die out there. Seth: Deal. Stark and Seth run out and join Balto with others. Overhead dark clouds start to roll in. Aleu: Ready for this, Shadow? Shadow: I’ll follow you to the death Aleu. Kiona: Is the pack coming? Aleu: There all gathering inside. One papa leaves. We’ll be right behind him. She looks to Balto. Aleu: Ready papa? Balto takes a look at all his loved ones and they all look at him. Balto: I’m ready. Let’s go. A few cheers among them all and Balto leads them down the mountain. Out of the cave entrance follow a huge number of wolves. We get some shots of how large the pack is as they spread out as they exit the cave. Balto and his family and friends are at the lead with the pack following. Balto stops for a second and the other keep going. He stops for a second and look up the mountain. He sees Jenna looking down on him. She howls and he howls back. He turns around and disappears into the trees. At the top of the mountain, Jenna looks out in the distance and sees dark clouds coming in. Dusty comes up to her. Dusty: Are you worried about Balto? Jenna: No. Dusty: Yeah. Neither am I. He has the strength and the will to lead them through this. That tells me Kodi will be ok too. Jenna: It’s not just his strength or his will, Dusty. He has it in his heart to endure anything that will come his way. He will do anything to protect his family. As long as Balto has a heart like that, there’s nothing stand in his way. Close up- Dusty’s face- Fade in- Chapter 15- The battle that will make the earth shake We see a forest with large scattered trees throughout. Then a set of wolf feet run by. Then another and many others following and at the lead are both Steele and Niju. And behind them; more wolves than anyone can count. Steele: How much father to there cave? Niju: Not far. But it’s likely there already waiting for us. Earthier way, it won’t matter. Steele: Good. There running through the large forest finally comes to an end when they enter a massive clearing. The clearing is huge a perfect place for a battle to take place. There are a few small rises in the ground and some small low hills. This clearing is also filled with some downed trees and massive stones. They run through the clearing for a bit. When they get close to the middle of the clearing, Niju gasps. Niju: Stop! The whole pack pulls to a stop. The whole army stands scattered over the field. Steele comes up to Niju. Steele: What? Niju: Look. Steele looks ahead and sees Balto standing (In an epic pose to make it look all dramatic or something like that) on a small rise in the foreground. Balto: Steele…Niju. Steele: Well would look at that! Long time no see bingo. Niju: We meet again. Half breed. Balto: I see you both haven’t changed a bit. Niju: You made a mistake coming here thinking you can fight us alone. Steele: And your pathetic family was too scared to come and help. So your goanna die here. Alone. Niju: And bones scattered to wind! Balto: Well I have some news for you both. As long as you keep the one you love close to you…you’re never alone. And I’m never alone. And I can prove that to you. All the sound fades away and a rush of fog (Aniu) passes by Balto and makes his fur flow with wind. We get a side-close up of Balto’s face. The look he has is like he is not afraid of anything. Other than what Balto says next, there is no sound at all. Balto: Stark, Dingo Kodi, Seth, Aleu, Kiona, Shadow, Saba, Kiko come. Kodi and Kiko come from the left side of the small hill, while Saba and Dingo come from the right side. In order, Stark, Shadow, Kiona, Aleu and Seth come out from behind Balto and walk down the hill with scary and determined looks on there faces. They stand in scattered in front of the hill where Balto stands. Kiko look right at Steele’s face. Although Steele is paying no attention to him. Kiko (thinking): Steele. Niju: (snarls) you! (He looks to Aleu) Aleu: Long time no see Niju. Niju: Your die all goanna die you stupid half-breeds! In case you haven’t looked yet you outnumbered! Balto: I’m not Niju, I forgot about the rest. Steele: Rest of what? Balto: Our pack. Balto howls and his family follows. Many, many wolves appear out of the tree line behind Balto and his family. They stop and stand next to the small hill Balto is standing on. We get some shots of the front of Balto’s pack and we wolves snarls, growls, pull there lips back showing there teeth and a few howling. Steele: Now this will be fun. Kiko continues to look at Steele. And Steele is still not looking his way. He shows his teeth and takes only one step forward. But Kiona steps in his way. Kiona: Not yet, Kiko. Balto: Steele! Niju! You both have a chance. Dingo: Stay here and risk your lives for this pointless fight. Saba: Or start fresh and let last be the past. Steele: I’ll never let it go! Niju: Nor will I! Silence. Balto: Fine. The clouds begin to get dark. We run along the front of Niju’s pack stop at Niju and Steele. Who are both side by-side. We get quick shot of Niju’s face. Niju: Attack!! Many of wolves on Niju’s side howl and charge. We shift to Balto’s side where he howls and jumps down from the hill. He passes his pups and they and the rest of there pack follow. We go back and forth between Balto’s side and Niju’s side. Both sides are running very fast and the entire sound mutes. Stark get ahead of Balto. While the rest of Balto’s pup are scattered over the area. We some close ups of them as they charge. The same with Seth. Kiko is seen with a demon look on his face. Then same with Niju’s side where get some close ups of Niju, Steele. We then get a mid high shot of the field where we both side’s about to clash. The sound starts to come back up. The sound comes back on and the only thing we hear is shouting when both sides are about to clash. We go to Stark who is in the front of every one else. He clashes with a wolf and both packs clash. We see many wolves fight each other. Balto knocks one wolf out of his way with his paw and he keeps running. Kiona is running very fast but stops and gasps. She raises her head a sees a wolf leaping right for her. She spins out of the way and the wolf lands on its face and slide across the ground. Kiko lunges forward and tackles a wolf. He weasels with the same wolf. They soon stop rolling and the wolf end up on top of Kiko. The wolf bits down on Kiko’s ear. Kiko yelps in pain as the wolf pulls Kiko’s ear back trying to rip it off. But then, Seth jumps in from the side and gets the wolf off of Kiko. Kiko looks over and sees Seth hitting the wolf in the head with his paw, knocking him out. Seth snaps his head over to Kiko. They share a node and run there separate ways. We get a side shot of Shadow and move around him until we get to his back side. Shadow tucks his body down very low, as a wolf comes at him. The wolf gets close to him and Shadow shoves his body up and makes the wolf fly over him. Shadow then keeps running and then sees another wolf coming at him. Shadow spins around, just before he and the wolf clash and grabs its tale with his mouth. The wolf yelps in pain as Shadow bits down on the tail and he swings the wolf around dragging it around him. After Shadow does one spin with the wolf’s tail in his mouth he lets go and sends the wolf flying. The same wolf flies away in the air and it gets into the whole shot. Smash Cut- Chapter 16- Girl talk The shot comes back up to Dusty and Jenna sitting in front of the entrance of the Aleu’s cave. Dusty is looking out while Jenna is sleeping. Dusty sighs and whispers to herself. Dusty: Kodi. Jenna: (Wakes up but keeps her body on the ground) did you say something? Dusty: Just thinking about Kodi. How much he means to me. Jenna: (Sits up) He will come back. I have no doubt. Dusty: Kodi’s very strong isn’t he? Jenna: He’s got his father’s spirit. Dusty: You’re right. There’s nothing to worry about. She lies down and shuts her eyes. Jenna looks out at the view from the cave entrance for a bit and moves her eyes to Dusty. Then the look on her face changes to curious, as she looks at Dusty. Jenna: Hmm (to herself) Dusty? Dusty: (Opens her eyes and turns her head to Jenna) Yes? Jenna: This is just a thought that passed through me right now. It might be an odd question but… Dusty: Go ahead. Jenna: Now I don’t mean this like I’m offending you or anything. Ok? Dusty: Jenna, just spit it out already! Jenna: Sorry. Are you by chance and I mean just curiously; are you half wolf? Dusty’s eyes widen; she gasps her eye balls move around. She sits up and thinks about it for a bit. Jenna: I’m sorry I… Dusty: No! Actually, that is a good question. To be honest, I’ve been thinking about that for a while now. Jenna: Really? Dusty: Yes. As a matter of fact, I think it’s possible. Jenna: How so? Dusty: My dad was my only parent. He told me my mother died giving birth to me and my brothers. Jenna: Did your dad ever tell you what your mom was like? Dusty: He said she looked just like me. Other than that, I never really asked him anymore about my mom. I thought it was too painful to bring that up again (She pauses for a second) So I guess it’s possible that I’m half-wolf. I do howl more than I bark, that’s for sure. And if I was (pauses and slightly smiles) that would mean I’m closer to Kodi. Jenna’s heart warm up as she hears the girl that loves her son is saying this. She cracks a smile. Dusty: And soon he and I will never be apart. Jenna: What do you mean? Dusty: Well… (She says in a sarcastic tone) Jenna: Are you hiding something from me? Dusty: Uh…. Dusty’s nose wiggles a bit and she runs outside. She sniffs the air. Jenna: What? Are they back? Dusty: No. It’s a scent. It smells familiar. Dusty lowers her head a takes a big sniff of the air. She gasps and snaps her head to Jenna. Dusty: The scent it’s… Smash cut- Chapter 17- Heated snow Kiona is a barrel roll with a female wolf. They both struggle with each other and try to bit down on there enemy as they roll. They reach the bottom of the hill and they separate in different directions. They both just look angry at each other and very-slowly circle each other. Wolf: Is that all you got, little half breed!? Kiona: Don’t ever talk that way about my family again! Were stronger than you think!! Wolf: Then show me what you wolf dogs got! Kiona: With pleasure! Kiona and the wolf clash again. (I’m not too good at describing fight scenes when it’s one on one). After a fighting for a bit Kiona is knock on the ground and the wolf she is fighting stands over her and holds Kiona’s top legs down with hers. Wolf: It’s too late for you little girl. No ones goanna help you! Kiona: I don’t need it! Kiona uses her hind legs and kicks the wolf in the chest. This sends the wolf flying to a tree. The wolf is flying sideways and she hits the tree hard on her back. Kiona gets up and sees the wolf is not getting back up. Kiona: No one talks like that about my family. She turns and runs back up the hill to join the battle that is starting to heat up. Smash cut- Dingo backs up as Wolf 1 and Wolf 2 are walking right up to him. They are near the tree line. Behind Wolf 1 and 2, the rest of the battle can be seen. They snicker as they creep up to Dingo. He squinted at them as he backs up. His eyes widen when his rear end bumps up against a downed tree. He quickly looks at the tree and looks to the two attacker. Dingo: Ok this isn’t good. Wolf 1: It’s not good. Wolf 2: For you that is! Wolf 1 lunges at Dingo. Dingo pulls his upper body back a bit and hit’s Wolf 1 right in the face with his paw. Wolf 1 slides on the ground and hits a huge branch that is in his way. Wolf 1’s body hits the branch and he does not get back up. Dingo is looking away when Wolf 2 tackles him. They both roll on the ground trying to bite each other. Wolf 2 manages to graze Dingo on the shoulder causing him to bleed a bit. Dingo shakes Wolf 2 off him and stand back up. He put his paw over the wound and sees some blood on his paw. Dingo: Crap. He and Wolf 2 clash again. They continue to fight. After fighting for a bit Dingo bits down hard his opponents back and eventually sends Wolf 2 flying over to the log where he lands his back right on the top of the tree. Wolf slides down knocked out on the ground. Dingo takes a few breaths and looks over and Wolf 1 and sees him still passed out. He looks to the wound on his shoulder and rubs his paw over it again. He looks on his paw and sees less blood than he had before. Dingo (sighs in relief): If that guy bit me any deeper…he would have killed me. Whatever. He starts to turn away. But then he looks back and looks up to the mountains. Dingo sees a huge swarm of pitch black coming there way. Dingo: Oh no! The clouds move in closer. Dingo: If we don’t get back to the cave soon we’ll all be buried alive! Dingo runs back to re join the battle. As runs of to the battle once again, huge chunks of snow start to fall fast from the sky. The wind starts to pick up. Smash cut- Kodi is seen running through the woods as he being chased by five wolves. He turns a corner and the wolves’ chasseing after him stop when they don’t see him. The lead wolf looks around then back to the rest Lead wolf: Spread out! They wolves spread out a bit but still stay in each other’s sight. Lead wolf: You can’t hide from us you worthless half breed. The wolves slowly walk forward and look around for Kodi. Kodi is hiding under a small hill not to far from where the wolves are. And the wolves are coming his way. Kodi is heavily breathing. Kodi: (Quietly) Shoot. I can’t take them alone. Kodi is looking the other way when he hears a twig snap. Kodi opens his mouth the prepare to bite whatever is behind him. He opens his mouth about halfway when he looks. He gasps and sees Dusty right in front of him. Kodi: (Quietly) What are you doing here! Dusty: Good to see you too my love. Kodi: I’m glad you’re here but you can’t fight. Not with…you know what I mean. Where’s my mom? Dusty: She’s back at the cave with John. Kodi: Then why are you here? Dusty: I brought help. Kodi: Help? Who? Voice: Me. Kodi looks next to him (opposite of the direction of the wolves) and sees Oslo come out from behind a tree. Kodi: Oslo? Oslo: Hey Kodi. What’s up? Kodi: What are you doing here? I thought you were recovering from that fight with Steele you had? Oslo: I’m all healed. Kodi: How? Oslo: I don’t know before I woke up I herd a voice tell me that I was needed. Then after that I followed the same voice for miles until I found Dusty. Kodi: A voice? Oslo: It was like a voice that makes safe and warm. Kodi: (Quietly chuckles) Oh I get it. Are you sure you can fight? Oslo: Hell yeah. Besides... (Quick shot of Kodi and Dusty) when do I get another shot a kick Steele’s ass. Kodi and Dusty laugh Wolf (From a distance): I think I herd something over there. Kodi: First, we got to take care of these guys. Oslo: I got an idea. The shot goes to Kiko being shoved against a tree. He looks forward and sees the large dark brown wolf he is fighting raising his paw at Kiko. Kiko gasps and rolls his back off the tree as the wolf grinds the bark of the tree. Kiko gets up and gets in a defensive pose. The wolf circles Kiko and lunges at him from the side. Kiko is hit on the side and the wolf gets on top of Kiko. But Kiko slips out from under him and gets on the wolf’s back. Kiko then bits the wolf’s left ear and give it a tug. The wolf’s head pulls back and he grunts in pain. Kiko lets go of the wolf’s ear and lunges backward off the wolf. The wolf gets off and feels his ear. Wolf: Your goanna pay for that! Kiko: Then make me. Wolf: With pleasure! Kiko charges, the wolf lowers his body and gets into a defensive pose. When Kiko get close the wolf leans his paw forward and swoops it close to the ground to try and make Kiko loose his footing. Kiko jumps up in the air a bit. But the second he does the wolf grins and Kiko gasps. The wolf snaps his whole body up and impalas Kiko on the shoulder. He keeps Kiko in his mouth and forces Kiko to the ground. Hard. Kiko moans in pain. The wolf gets on top of Kiko and presses his paws on Kiko’s chest. Kiko grunts. Kiko: (thinking) is this the end? He closes his eyes and images of him winning the golden collar race, Balto, Jenna, Seth, Kodi, Dusty, Kiona, Saba, Stark, Dingo, Ralph, Rosie, John and Jake pass through his head. The thought of Jake stays on for a few second and then another though of him and Kiko sleeping together in a dog house passes through his head. Kiko is resting his head over Jack’s shoulder. He opens his eyes back up and squints at his angry opponent. He gets his hinge legs on the wolf’s chest and grunts as he push up and sends the wolf flying. The wolf hits his back on the top of a knocked down tree. He slides down the tree and his to weak to move. He looks up and sees Kiko standing before him. Kiko: I have someone special waiting for me at home. He’d be devastated if didn’t come back alive. So I can’t waist my time here with you. And I have someone more important to fight. The wolf stands up and looks at Kiko with his eyebrows lowered. There stair at each other for a bit and then clash again. Not to long after that, Kiko uses some immense strength and pines the wolf to the ground. Kiko: I said I don’t want wait my time here with you. (Smirks) But we could have got to know each other if we met on different terms. But that’s just not goanna fly here. We get a shot of just the wolf’s eye and they widen. Kiko raises his head up and swings it down. The next shot is zooming out as Kiko’s tears the wolf open, killing him. Smash cut- Saba slides across the ground on her back. She takes no less then a second to spring back on her feet and makes a deep growl at Niju. Niju: You may not be Aleu. But her sister is the next best thing. Niju begins to run for Saba but Aleu jumps into his way. Saba: Aleu? Aleu: I can handle him Saba. Saba: I want to help you. Aleu: Fine. Saba: Got any idea how to beat this guy? Aleu looks to the tree line and back to Saba. Aleu: I got an idea. Niju watches as Aleu and Saba running off to the tree line. Niju: You can’t hide from me. Niju makes no haste as he runs after Saba and Aleu into the tree line out of sight from the rest of the battle. In middle the battle things start to get very rough and more violent. All over, wolves get knocked to the ground, bitten, hit across the face, wolves fighting on the ground and thrown to the ground. There is one wolf that is shoved across the ground. He looks and sees Shadow leaping right at him. Shadow lands on the wolf and dig his muzzle into the wolf’s body. But as he does, Shadow does not see that there is a very huge wolf is coming right at him. This wolf is literally twice the size of any other wolf or wolf-dog in this battle. His size and the look on his face that says “thirst for blood” says it all. Before Shadow can even move his head, the wolf that was coming at him is shoved out of the way by Balto. Balto rolls across the ground. He soon lets go of the wolf he just attacked. He and the huge wolf circle each other for a bit. After circling but the wolf shows of his massive, blood covered teeth. Seeing this does not stick any fear to Balto. The circling stops when the wolf takes a lunge at Balto. He bits Balto on the side and keeps Balto in his mouth and raises his head up and shakes back and forth. This continues for a bit. Kiona, near bye knocks out a wolf she was just fighting. She hears Balto yelling and looks over and sees the massive wolf hurting her father. Kiona: Dad! Stark, also in the same area hears Kiona’s cry and looks over. They both make no hast and bolt over to the huge wolf. When they get there, the small area has enough space for this fight to take place. Kiona and Stark both bit down on the huge wolf’s front and back left legs. He yells in pain and drops Balto on the ground. Balto bounces on the snow and the stays on the ground. Kiona rushes to Balto, while huge wolf look down on Stark. Stark: Ok you’re on huge SOB. The huge wolf growls and swings his paw at Stark. He hits Stark on the side. Stark lands near Kiona and Balto. He takes a look at Kiona and sees Balto back on his feet. Stark: You ok, Dad? Balto: Yeah, Stark. Stark: This guy’s tough. Kiona: It’ll take all of us to take him down. Balto: Then let’s do it! All three get back one there feet. Balto stays where he is, while Stark and Kiona circle around him. Once Stark and Kiona get on the wolf’s left and right flank, Stark makes a small jump forward and the wolf swings his paw for Stark. But Stark jumps right back to where he was before the paw can even reach him. As the huge wolf is still looking at Stark, he stops looking angry and cries in pain. Kiona is seen biting down hard on his upper left leg. The huge wolf reaches his head down to try and bite Kiona. But Stark then jumps up high and land on the wolf’s back, shoving the rest of his body to the ground. And stop his muzzle from reaching Kiona, he bites the wolf’s ear and pulls his head back. Seeing the right moment, Balto breaks of standing and starts running. The huge wolf sees Balto running right at him and starts to struggle even harder to get Kiona and Stark off of him. He shakes his leg enough to send Kiona away and jumps his body up to send Stark flying. He sees Stark go away and then turns to bite Balto. But before he can even open his mouth, Balto lunges up and open his mouth as wide as he can. He bites the huge wolf right in the neck. This stops the huge wolf completely. Balto take his mouth off the wolf’s neck and the wolf falls to the ground dead. Balto takes some deep breaths and sees Kiona come up to him. Kiona: You ok? Balto: Yeah? You? Kiona: Fine. Balto: What happened to Stark? Kiona: He’s ok. I think. But if there’s one thing about Stark that we can all agree on is that there are two things that he’s good at. Sleeping in fighting. Balto: Even though mostly sleeps. They laugh. Just then Kiona is shoved away. Balto: Kiona. She gets off the ground and turns to Balto. Kiona: I’ll be fine. Just keep fighting. Balto (with some regret): Ok. Be careful, daughter. Balto turns and re-joins the battle. Smash Cut- One wolf gets kicked by Stark’s hind legs. Stark fights another wolf off and near him is Seth. A wolf charges at Seth. Seth jumps out of the way and head buts the wolf on the side knocking it over. Seth and Stark get close and look around to make sure no once is coming at them. Seth: (Laughing) having fun? Stark: (Chuckling) Oh, You’re still alive? Seth: I told you I would useful in this. Stark: I knew you would. Seth: Were we friends we got to watch each other’s back right? Stark: Speaking of that behind you! Seth looks behind him and see a wolf coming at him. Seth lunges forward and bites the wolf on its legs. The wolf falls to the ground and Seth look over and sees a wolf trying to sneak up on Stark while he is fighting another wolf. Seth runs over and shoves the wolf over a great distance. Stark looks back to Seth. Stark: Thanks. Seth: Welcome. This is so fun. Stark: I can agree with you on that. Seth: We should practice fighting at home. Hold on. He looks away from Stark and swings his paw. His paw hits a wolf the was coming at Seth from the side on the face. Stark: Sound like a plan. Seth smiles at Stark and they hear some shouting. They look forward and see many wolves coming at them. Stark: Get ready. Seth: I was born ready! Stark: Then may best wolf-dog win. Seth and Stark shout in excitement as they charge right at the swarm of wolves coming at them. Smash Cut- A dark figure zooms right past the whole screen and a few others pass right after that. The same wolves that were chasing Kodi earlier are running after a figure quite a bit a head of them and it is moving very fast. Lead wolf: Let’s get him!! The rest of them shout in agreement like a mob. They see the figure ahead of them turn a corner. The wolves turn it and still see the figure. A wolf at the end of the group is shoved out of sight. Out very fast by something that move’s very fast. This continues to happen to the rest of the group of evil wolves. This keeps happening until only the leader remains. The high speed chase through the woods comes to an end when the figure stops at the end of a river side. Lead wolf: End of the line. Get him boys! He hears nothing and looks back and sees nothing. Lead wolf: What? Female voice: I got more bad new, sonny. Lead wolf turns around and sees Dusty standing before him at the edge of the river. Lead wolf: Who the hell are you!? Dusty: The mate of the guy you’re trying to kill. Lead wolf: (Chuckles) Then I’ll just kill you and wait for him to come to me. Dusty: No, you won’t. Lead wolf: Says who!? Voice: I say! Dusty moves her head over Lead wolf and Lead wolf looks back. They both see Kodi and Oslo. Kodi: Good idea Oslo. Oslo: With Dusty’s speed and your and mine’s strength, it was full proof. Lead wolf: You two took everyone else out? Oslo: Guilty as charged. Lead wolf: Then you’re all dead! He slowly turns his head to Dusty. When Kodi gets out of his sight, Kodi runs for Lead wolf. Lead wolf looks of Dusty. Lead wolf: Starting with you! He lunges for Dusty. As he is in the air he is tackled by Kodi. Dusty jumps out of there way. Lead wolf is pushed into the river and is seen floating away fighting the strong current. Kodi is seen struggling on the edge. Half of his body is in the water. He is using his front paws to try and get back on land. He is about to fall in but Dusty saves him. She and Oslo pull him out. Kodi: Thanks. Dusty: Are you ok? Kodi: (smiles at her) I’m ok. I’m sorry that I had to put you though that. Dusty: I’m alright. Kodi: Good. The slowly nuzzle. Kodi: (whispers in her ear.) I can’t live with out you. Dusty: Neither can I. Oslo smiles at them. They then hear many battle cries and look to where the battle is. Oslo: Sounds like things are getting ugly. They then feel the wind start to pick up. Dusty: The storm’s coming too. Kodi: We better get back there and help. The faster this battle is over the sooner we get back to the cave wait it out. Dusty: I wont get in you way. I’ll wait in the trees. Kodi: Yeah, you’ll be safer there. You can come out and join me and the others when things start to die down. Dusty: Got it. Oslo: Let’s go! They run off into the trees. Smash cut- Chapter 18- Alpha vs. Alpha Saba and Aleu fight Niju near a cliff side. We watch them put a lot of effort in to killing him. Be he shows to be very strong. At one point Saba and Aleu are both knocked to the ground. They look up and see Niju standing over them. Niju: You’re done! He raises his paws and prepares to slash Aleu. She closes her eyes and everything goes quiet. Just then, we hear some shouting coming from the forest behind them. The shouting is getting louder. When it gets closer, it sounds like a cavalry charge. Niju: What is that!? Saba and Aleu listen more closely and after a few seconds look at each other and smirk. They laugh, stand up and walk a little bit away from Niju. Niju looks to them. Niju: Where do you think your going? Saba: No. Aleu: Were just goanna stay back and enjoy the show. Niju looks at them in confusion and hears the noise getting louder. He looks to the trees and gets into a defensive pose. Out of the trees appear Muk and Luk. Trying to keep there balance on the rolling log. Muk: Bears to the rescue! Niju: What!? The log gets close to Niju. But he jumps out of the way. We see the log hit a large stone neat the edge of the cliff. Muk and Luk jump off and land in the snow, as the log breaks in half. Niju look to the polar bears. Niju: Who are these guys? Saba: Friends of the family. Niju looks to Saba and Aleu. Niju: Really? Then a friend of yours... (Looks to Muk and Luk getting out of the snow) is an enemy of mine. He bolts for Muk and Luk. He gets about half way when a shadow flies over him. He sees the shadow and stops running. He looks up. As he does, Boris come flying in right at his face. Boris: Goose to the rescue! Boris covers Niju’s face from sight. But only for a second. Boris lands near Muk and Luk. Niju has a small scar on his face and is very angry. Niju: That does it! The goose and the throw rugs die first. He bolts for them. But before he can even get to them he is tackled by Saba. He slides across the ground and stops. He gets up and is tackled by Aleu. They fight and Niju ends up pinning Aleu to the ground. He raises his paw high in the air. Niju: This taking away my future! Aleu closes her eyes. She swings her head back. That gives her the momentum to push her upper body up. With this she opens her mouth wide open and bites Niju in the chest. Niju gasps for his life and puts his eyes up to the sky. He looks back to Aleu and struggles to reach his paw to her. He gets his paw on to her neck, while she is still biting down on his chest. Niju’s paws slowly get on to Aleu’s shoulder. But before anything else can happen, the paw goes limp and swings down on to the snow. Aleu sees that Niju is not moving anymore and slowly lets his body on the ground. (Niju: Deceased killed by Aleu). Aleu backs away from the body. The other’s come up to her. Saba: His he dead? Aleu: (Heavily breathing) yeah, very. Aleu sets her head down and looks back up. Boris: You did the right thing Aleu. Aleu: Uncle Boris, Muk, Luk, thank you. Saba: How did know we were here? Boris: Let’s just say a little raven told us everything. Aleu smirks. Muk: We should go. Aleu: No. This battle is way to dangerous, Saba and I will go. Boris: What about us? Aleu pans over to Niju’s body and stairs at it for a second. Aleu: Give Niju a proper burial of a wolf pack leader. He spent his life trying to be one and so he died as one. Boris: Of course Aleu. Ok boy chicks! Start digging! Muk: Yes Uncle Boris! We watch Aleu and Saba leave as Muk and Luk start to dig Niju’s grave. Fade in- Chapter-19: Son vs. Father He is pinned to the ground by one wolf. He sees one come right at him. Balto slides out from under that wolf. Then the wolf that was coming at him and the one that was on top of him clash. Balto sees Steele. Steele notices Balto too and the two look at each other. Everything is silent for a moment. Steele squares his shoulders. Balto just stands his ground and stairs at Steele. Steele shouts in rage as he charges at Balto. Balto takes a huge leap and Balto and Steele clash. We see Stark fight off some of the last of Niju’s pack. The same with a many other wolves. Aleu, Saba, Shadow, Oslo, Kodi and Dusty all arrive at the same time. The rest of Niju’s pack retreats and Aleu’s pack stand scattered over the area with many dead wolves on the ground. All the wolves and wolf-dogs join together, near the tree line of the massive clearing. Go to Balto and Steele standing on there hind legs. As they both try to reach there upper legs around there enemy, Steele tries to dig his muzzle into Balto. Balto tires to dodge it but he loses his balance and falls backwards. This makes Steele fall over Balto and roll on the ground above Balto. They both get up and look at each other. Balto: Steele, listen. We don’t have to fight. We can maybe start over. Steele: Not a chance, lobo. Steele and Balto clash again. We go over to the edge of the tree line where all the others including the rest of Aleu’s pack have joined. Aleu turns back to the pack. Aleu: The day is ours. Go back to the cave and celebrate. Shadow: But Aleu what about Balto and that other one? Aleu: No one kills Steele but my dad. Go. I’ll be at the cave soon. Shadow, you lead them back. Shadow: Right. Move! The pack slowly turns and walks into the trees. Oslo: So were just goanna sit and let Balto handle this? Stark: That’s the plan. Kiona: Steele tried to stop my dad from bringing the medicine back. Dingo: All he cared about was his stupid glory. Kodi: Many kids could have died cause of Steele and none of us are goanna forgive him for that. Saba: So none of us are goanna leave until he dies! We then shift over the Balto fighting Steele. (As I said before, I’m not good at explaining one on one fight.) So a few things about the fight is that the fight leads away from the clearing to the woods. In the woods Steele shove Balto up against a tree. Balto tries to recover and Steele lunges for Balto. Before Steele can even reach Balto, something pushes Steele out of the way. Steele slides across the ground. Balto first sees Steele on the ground. He turns his head. Balto: You. Steele shakes the snow off his face and looks over. Steele: Who are you? We get a full body of Kiko, standing a few feet away from Balto and a bit of a distance from Steele. Balto: I thought you were with the others. Kiko: I got to the field and I saw you and Steele go into the woods. Just sit there. He’s mine. Steele struggles to get up and finally does so. He stairs at Kiko and they look at each other eye-to-eye. Kiko: Do you know who I am? Steele: A freak with weird taste in collars? Kiko lowers his eyes down to his collar. Kiko: This was a gift from someone very special. But as for whom I am, here’s a hint. Do you remember…Hazel? Steele’s eyes widen, his squared shoulder’s lower, and he lets out a long breath. Steele: No. Kiko: Yes. I’m your son Steele. And were not goanna have one of those father-son moments. Were goanna fight and I’m goanna kill you for leaving my mother to die of a broken heart. Steele’s squints at Kiko. Kiko: I don’t bother saying anything. You just as pathetic and evil as everyone says you were. I’m here to fight along side Balto and his family. And since you there enemy you my enemy as well. Steele’s pulls his lips back and grinds his teeth and long with a very deep and scary snarl. Kiko: Is that all you got? I’ve seen better snarls from a lap dog. Steele shouts and bolts for Kiko. Kiko doesn’t move at all. Once Steele gets close enough, Kiko spins to the left and head buts Steele from the side. Just Steele hits the ground, Kiko jump on Steele’s back and bits down on his ear. Steele roars and tries to shake his head loose. But Kiko keep his body on top of Steele’s and keep his mouth in his ear. After a bit of struggling, Steele bends his head forward and snaps it back hitting Kiko in the chin. Kiko jumps back and Steele gets up and recovers. He looks and sees Kiko with some blood coming out of his mouth. Kiko wipes it off and flicks it off his paw. Kiko: Nice one. Steele: Your tough kid. You must be my son. Kiko: I’m not your son. What kind of dog would want a cold hearted demon as a father? Steele builds up his rage and he and Kiko clash once again. When he gets close enough, Kiko tilts his head side ways, shoves up against Steele and bits down on the upper part of the left side of his body; right behind the shoulder. Steele grunts a bit and hits Kiko on the side with his right paw. The claws from Steele’s body hit dig in to his body a bit. This causes Kiko to let go of Steele. Steele then easily over powers Kiko and pins Kiko to the ground. Steele gets over Kiko and leans his head back to give him the momentum to dig his muzzle into his son. However, Steele only gets half way down. Kiko hits Steele across the face with a lot of effort. And as he hits Steele, Kiko rolls over and makes Steele loose his balance. Steele falls to the ground and Kiko rolls a bit and jumps up to his feet. He then gets on top of Steele; whom is bleeding from his mouth. After Kiko gets on top of Steele, he holds Steele’s legs down with his paws. Kiko: It’s to late Steele! You may think you’re the strongest dog. But that spot has been taken. Steele is still moving his head around to try and recover from that last blow to the face he took. And his vision is a little blurry as well. When he finally gets his vision back, he looks at Kiko. When he gets his vision back, he and Kiko both start to shout. Kiko leans down to Steele’s chest. But Steele breaks his legs frees from Kiko’s paws and wraps them around Kiko’s back. We get an overhead shot of Steele wrapping his upper legs around Kiko’s back. Steele’s right paw is on top and his left on is just below. With his right paw on Kiko’s upper back and his left paw just below that, Steele claws Kiko’s back. This causes Kiko to yell in pain. With that window open, Steele slips out from under Kiko. He crawls and gets back up. Kiko drops his hind legs to the ground and severely struggles to keep his upper body from falling into the snow. Kiko is also lowering his head and cringing to the pain. Small streaks of blood are running down his back. He continues to struggle with the pain, as he looks up to Steele. Steele: Had enough? Kiko: Never. I will not fall until you fall first. Steele: I see. He runs toward Kiko. Steele: Then see if you’ll fall after this. As Steele gets close, Kiko struggles to get his hind legs back up. He does get his hind legs back up and stands up strait. His sinkers. But only for a second. He gets loses his footing once again and has a look of pain on his face. This happens in less then a few blinks of an eye. Just after he gets the looks of pain, Steele is right in front of him. Not a single sound is herd but the noise of Steele impaling his muzzle into Kiko’s shoulder. The noise echoes. We see Balto mouthing “Kiko!!!!!” Steele takes his muzzle out of Kiko. Kiko falls to the ground before his father. The noise comes back on Steele looks over Kiko. He looks closer and sees that Kiko is still breathing. Steele: You really aren’t goanna give up until I’m dead aren’t you? Oh well. I’ll just put you out of your misery. He takes his paw and puts it over Kiko’s throat. We see Balto’s feet running very fast. Steele looks up and sees Balto flying right at him. There bodies meet and both of them are shoved a good distance away from Kiko. Chapter 20- Balto vs. Steele Balto and Steele stand up and stair at each other. Balto: Steele. Steele: Balto. There is a bit of a pause. Balto: How could you have done that to your own son? Steele: If he’s on your side then he’s no son of mine. Hearing this, Balto shows his teeth a little. He and Steele then start to circle each other. Balto: You almost killed Jenna, you Niju tried to kill my family and now you tried kill your own son because he was in your way. When will you ever give on trying to kill me? Steele: Never. Balto: Steele. For the tenth time, we don’t have to fight. Steele: Says you. Balto: I’m serious. I don’t like fighting. It’s nothing more than evil. Steele: Evil? You haven’t seen how evil I can be. Balto: I guess your really not goanna stop. Steele: Not until you’re dead. Balto: Well I don’t want to die. I got too much to live for. So if we do have to fight…then let’s do it. Steele: I thought you’d never ask. Steele stops circling and makes a huge lunge for Balto. Balto reacts by leaping at Steele. They clash in mid-air and Steele over powers Balto and he lands on the ground with Balto under his paws. Steele tries to bite down on Balto’s neck. But Balto moves his head out of the way and Steele misses. Balto turns his head over and bites Steele’s ear. Steele yells in pain. Balto, with Steele’s in his ear, rolls his head over and sends Steele to the side and off Balto. They both quickly get back up. They make no haste and charge at each other. Balto make a jump into the air and Steele stops running. As Balto is coming right at him with his paws in front, Steele bites Balto’s right front paw with his mouth. Balto gasps as Steele spins around once and sends Balto flying. Balto’s back hits a tree and he yells in pain. He slides down the tree and struggles to get back up. He finally gets up and sees Steele coming right at him. Unable, to move that much after that last hit and purposely gets out of Steele’s way by letting himself fall over. As Balto doges his attack, Steele almost hits the tree face forward but pulls to a stop. He looks over and sees Balto back on his feet. Balto looks at Steele like he really wants to end him. He growls a bit and shows off his teeth. Steele takes his left paw and shows it to Balto. He extends his claws a much as he can and uses a lot of force to break off a huge chunk of bark on the tree he almost ran into. Smash cut- Jenna, Kodi, Seth, Kiona, Oslo, Saba, Stark, Dingo, and Aleu run through the woods. They all run as fast as they can. Snow has started to fall and the wind is starting to pick up. They stop running and Dingo puts his face into the air. Kodi: Do you have anything Dingo!? Dingo: Barley. The wind is getting in my way I can’t pick up dad’s nor Steele’s smell. Angle on- Saba She looks over and sees a trail of bloody paw prints in the snow. Saba: Look! They all gaze over and see the paw prints. Jenna gasps and the others look at each other worried. Aleu takes the lead as the others follow her and they follow the trail. As they follow the trail they it leading to behind a large tree. As they get closer to the tree they hear a moan of pain. The whole group stops. All but Jenna. Jenna: Balto! As she runs ahead of the group, they follow. Jenna turns and looks down and gasps. The others come around. Olso: Terrific. They see Kiko lying before them. Kiona goes up to him. Kiona: Kiko. She says quietly and licks the side of his face. Kiko moans a bit and struggles to open his eyes. He finally does so. Kiona steps away and Kiko uses his front paws to lift up his upper body. Kiona: Are you ok? Kiko: Super. Stark: What happened? Kiko: Steele. I tried to fight him. I though was stronger than him. I was fool to think that. Dingo: Where is he now? Jenna: And Balto? Kiko: Last I saw they were flying deeper into the forest. Seth: We better hurry. Saba: Can you walk? Kiko: Yeah. I stopped hear to catch my breath. Kodi: Then let’s move. With that Kiko slowly gets up and he leads the rest of them in the woods. Fade in- Chapter 22- Let it go. We see a high shot of a cliff side area. It’s almost similar to where Balto and Steele first fought in the first film. Only the wind is harshly blowing and the snow fall is getting heaver. Also, there are much more trees. Balto and Steele break through the tree line, locked in a barrel roll. Soon Balto lets go and send Steele off him. He lands meters away from the cliff. He gets right back up and heads strait for Balto. After fighting there for a bit Balto becomes enraged and knocks Steele to the ground. Balto then grabs Steele’s tail with his mouth and throws him to a rock. The image to when Steele hits the rock is the same as when Steele threw Balto to a huge rock. After Steele falls to the ground, all of Balto’s family and friends come out of the tree line (including Boris, Muc and Luc). They stand scattered over the area and look at Steele’s body. They then turn to Balto. Balto slowly walks over to them. Aleu: Are you ok, papa? Balto: (Slightly smiles) I’m okay, Aleu. Kiona: (sighs) It’s over. Close up of Balto Balto: Yes it is. There is a groaning sound. Many of them get shocked looks on there faces. Balto looks back and sees Steele struggling to stand up. Balto: Steele. Steele looks at Balto with his eyes half open and he is limping. Slowly. Steele: I’m not…goanna loose…to a bunch of worthless half breeds!! Many they get into charging poses. Balto: (Quickly looks back) Wait! Steele starts to run for Balto. In a second Balto pushes his paw against Steele’s shoulder stopping him from movie. Steele points his head down as Balto speaks to him. And as Balto talks we go around the group and get some close ups of them with sorrow and angry looks on there faces. Balto: That’s enough Steele. You lost this fight. If try to fight anymore you’ll be dead. I don’t want to kill you. But ever come anywhere near me, my family, my friends ever again I’ll end you. But until then, think about this: think about letting the past go. I’m leaving now with everyone. Remember what I told you. Stay away. Think about letting it all go. Balto lets go of Steele and turns away. Steele does not move at all. When Balto gets to the others, Steele snaps his head up and lunges for Balto. Steele: NEVER! YOU SON OF A… All in one rush we see Balto turning around, the other’s eyes widening and a pair of white feet running. We get an over the neck shot of Balto as he turns around and he sees Jenna biting the side of Steele’s neck. All: (Clamoring) Mom! Jenna!! Jenna lets go of Steele and Steele looks to her. She looks at him in despair and does not say a word. Blood slowly comes out of Steele’s neck. He is near the edge of the cliff, when he looses his balance. Steele looses his footing and fall off the cliff into the blackness below. (Steele: Deceased wounded in his fight with Balto and was finished off by Jenna). Many gather over the edge and look down. They see nothing but darkness. Dusty: Is he…dead. (Looks to Balto.) Balto lightly nods his head up and down. Balto: Yeah. He’s dead. Not a word is said. As they look down the trench, they notice that the wind is staring to blow louder and faster. The snow is starting to fall down even harder than it was before. Aleu: We have to get back to the cave! Balto: Let’s Go! They all turn around and start running towards the trees. Balto is the last of them to enter the woods. Before doing so, he takes one last look at the edge of the cliff. He takes moment and sighs. Balto: Goodbye Steele. Balto turns and runs into the woods. Fade in- Chapter 23- Goodbye. Again. The entrance to Aleu’s cave is covered with snow from the ground all the way to the top. The sun is bright showing that the storm has passed. We go in a little closer. After a moment or so of silence, the snow starts to break apart from the center and Oslo and Seth burst out. Oslo: I win! Seth: By a few seconds. Balto comes out of the hole in the snow. Balto All right enough you two. Seth and Oslo (in unison): He started it. Balto: Come on guys. We got get this snow out of the way or else everyone will run out of air. Oslo and Seth (in unison): Race yah! They run for the snow. Balto: Oh no. He jumps out of there way. Oslo and Seth start to dig into the snow with there paws. Balto soon goes up to gets to work on the huge pile. Fade in- Aleu stands on one side with her pack, Shadow, and the cave entrance at her back. Balto, Jenna, Kiona, Stark, Kodi, Saba and Dingo are close to her. Saba goes up and she and Aleu rubs there neck. Saba: I’m goanna miss so much. Aleu: I’ll come and visit as soon as I can. Saba: Promise? Aleu: Yes. Saba smiles and backs away. Balto and Jenna then come up. Balto: Are you sure you can’t come and stay for a while. Aleu: You know how much I want to. But now that Niju is dead, I have command over all the territory that he had control over. I need some to make sure that were safe. Stark: Will we ever see you again? Aleu: One day. Saba looks away and a tear sheds down her eye. Aleu sees this. Aleu: Tell you what Saba? For helping me with Niju, you’ll be the first one I come to. Saba smiles at her sister. We move over to Jenna who walks up to Aleu. Jenna rubs her face along Aleu’s neck. Jenna: I’m goanna miss you. Aleu: I’ll miss you to mom. Jenna backs away from her and Balto comes up. Aleu: I guess this is where we say goodbye again, papa. Balto: Yeah it is Aleu. Aleu: (rubs her head under his chin) I’ll miss you. (She looks to everyone else) all of you. Aleu and her pack watch as Balto and the others slowly leave. Before Balto’s family drop out of sight, Aleu and her pack howl to them. They all look back and howl with them. We get a close up of Aleu as she howls. After she stops she looks down at her family and friends and sees watch them leave until they are out of sight. She continues to look down at them as her pack leaves from behind her. After her family disappears into the trees; Aleu looks out at the tundra. Aleu: Well…I guess I better get started. She turns around and walks into the cave. Fade in- INT- High shot of Nome- mid-day Fade in- Balto’s boat. Kodi is walking towards the boat. As he does we can see that his family is there. Kodi hops on the boat and sees Dusty, Kiona, Seth, Balto, Jenna, Stark, Dingo and Saba waiting for him. Kodi: Hey guys. He goes over and sits down right next to Dusty. Balto: Did you get John home? Kodi: Yeah? He’s all dirty from what he’s been though. But he’ll be just fine. Jenna: How’s Rosy? Kodi: She couldn’t stop cheering. Jenna: That’s good. Seth: And Kiko. Kodi sighs. Kodi: Well Jake was freaking out the whole time in the waiting room while Kiko was with the vest. Jenna: What did the vet say? Kodi: He’ll need a long time to heal. But theirs no doubt that he’ll be back to his old self soon. Dingo: That’s great. Dusty: (Quietly) Hey. Kodi: (Smiles at her) Hi. Dusty and Kodi whisper to each other. Every one else tries to listen. Dusty: (Whispering) should we tell them? Kodi: (Reluctant tone) yeah. Kodi and Dusty stand up and stand where everyone can see them. Kodi: As most of you know, Dusty and I are mates. Many of them nod there heads up and down and mumble “Yes” Kodi: But there’s something else. They look at him confused. Balto: What is Kodi? Kodi: (sighs) Dusty is pregnant. All the girls scream in excitement and rush to Dusty. Saba: For real! Dusty: (Embarrassingly) Yeah. Balto: And…Kodi’s the… Kodi: Yeah I’m the father. Stark: Lucky bastard! Balto: When did you find out Dusty? Dusty: Before Kodi left for the fight, I felt sick. Jenna: (look to her pups) I felt the same why when I had all of you. Is that what you were hiding from me? Dusty: I was about to tell you. Then I caught Oslo’s scent. Balto: Oh. Kodi (quietly): Dad. Balto looks at Kodi and he is nodding his head over to the bow of the boat. Balto gets up and he joins Kodi in going to the bow. As Dusty and others talk in excitement, she hears some faint whispering and looks over. She sees Kodi and Balto quietly talking to each other. She slowly goes over to them and is able to hear what they are saying. Kodi: …Can I show it to her dad? Balto: Of course. Dusty: Show me what? Kodi and Balto look to her. Kodi: Can I show you something? Dusty: Sure. Kodi: Then follow me. They both jump off the boat and start running towards Nome. Fade in- Chapter 24- Love is forever. Under the floors of the hospital, Kodi at the lead creeps around with Dusty following him and looking around. Dusty: It’s so gloomy down here. Kodi: Are you kidding? It’s the most beautiful spot in the world. Dusty: Beautiful… (Gets a cobweb on her nose. Rubs it of while saying…) I can’t see why? Kodi gets his face close to hers and speaks with a cocky tone. Kodi: That’s because you’re looking at the bowl half empty. We see Kodi push a bunch of broken bottles under a light on a small rise. Kodi: See this… (He pushes the bottles under the light coming from the hospital’s vent’s grate) its polar ice capes. Dusty: Kodi, those are broken bottles. There not half empty there all empty. Kodi moves his head to the light. Kodi: The sun. Dusty: Kodi… Kodi: And to the north. He steps out of the light’s way the light reflects off the bottles and shows a light coming from off the shot. Dusty looks back and gasps. Dusty: (Gasps) the northern lights! She and Kodi look at it in the same way that Balto and Jenna looked at the lights in 1925. Dusty: Oh Kodi your right it is beautiful. Kodi: Yeah…beautiful. She looks to Kodi and they both passionately nuzzle each other. The screen gets brighter from the lights as they completely cover the shot. The light fades and we now see a low shot of the shore of the beach. A set of white feet run by splashing in the water. Then and another pair of feet; only this time they are gray. Jenna is next seen running and laughing with Balto right behind her. Balto starts to get closer to her and she quckily turns around and splashes some water in his face. Balto: Hey! That water’s freezing, you know? Jenna chuckles as she walks up to Balto as he is shaking the water off him. After he does, they look at each other. She sees some water running down his cheek. She leans her nose forward and cleans it off. But then she and Balto lead that into a passionate nuzzle. After they let go, they walk more. Balto: Can I ask you something? Jenna: Anything. Balto: Why did you jump in when Steele was goanna kill me. I could have taken him. Jenna: I know. But I just couldn’t sit around in that cave and have the thought of you not coming back to me in my head. She stops walking and Balto gets in front of her. Jenna lowers her her head and takes a deep sigh. She starts to sob a bit. Jenna: You complete me Balto. I would be nothing with out you. I just could risk letting you die! Balto start to talk over her but she continues. Balto: Hey, hey, Jenna, Jenna (A few times as Jenna says these next line) Jenna: I just can’t live with out you. Or Stark, or Saba… Balto: Jen!! She stops and Balto lifts her head up with his paw. She looks at him with a few tears on her face. Balto: The only thing that matters is that you saved my life. And also you killed Steele. A dog that we all know deserved to die. Jenna takes a deep breath and pauses. She looks to the sea for a second and then turns back to Balto. Jenna: You’re right Balto. Steele’s gone. Balto: As long you protected the ones you love, that’s all that matters. So no matter who you kill to try and protect me or anyone else…I will always love you. Jenna: Balto! They nuzzle each other, Fade out- Chapter 24- A new begging The words “Two months later” come up and fade out. The screen opens back up with Kodi running very fast through Nome. It’s night time and the snow is lightly falling. Kodi goes up to a corner and starts to turn down the other street. But he slips on a small patch of ice and slides across the street. He yells and slams into a pile of boxes. He comes out of them shakes his head back and forth. He continues running and comes up to the vet’s office. He enters through the dog door and Balto, Jenna, Stark, Saba, Kiona, Dingo, Kiko, Jake, Oslo and Seth are all there. Kodi: Is she ok? Seth: We don’t know, Kodi. She’s been in there a while. Stark: Why did Dusty go into labor at three in the morning? Jake: Talk about bad timing. Jenna: She’ll be just fine Kodi. Kiko: Dusty is a young, strong, free-spirited girl. They then hear a few yelps of pain coming from the operating room. Kodi gets scared. Dingo comes up and rests his paw on Kodi’s shoulder. Kodi looks to him. Dingo: She’ll be ok. After a while the vet comes out and they all get around him. He smiles and pats Kodi on the head. Vet: Come on boy. Theirs someone who wants to see you. Kodi looks back to the others. Balto nods his head forward and Kodi runs in. He sees Dusty on the floor with three little puff balls nursing from her. Two of them are boys and they both have Kodi’s red and white fur. And a girl with Dusty’s light gray and white fur. Kodi: Wow. Dusty: Come and have a look at them. Kodi goes up to Dusty and looks at his new pups. Kodi gasps at how cute they are. Kodi: There beautiful. Just like you. He rubs his nose along her face. Dusty: And you. Voice: Aww. Kodi: (annoyed) Seth, you can come in. Seth’s voice: Dang it! The door opens and everyone else comes in. Stark: I told you he’d here you. Seth: Shut up! A few of them laugh Balto: Wow. There amazing. Kiona: Kodi, I hate to say this but the boys look just like you. Jake: This makes them ever more special Saba: How are you feeling Dusty? Dusty: Just fine. But that was one time thing. I’m never going through all that again. Jenna: Guy’s got any names? Kodi: Well...I think I’ll name the boys. Dusty: And I’ll name the girl. They pause for a moment and look back to the others. Kodi: Ok. I think I’ll name the boys Spencer… Pauses for a second to think about it. He looks to Dusty and raises his eyebrows. Turns his head and says the next word while doing so. Kodi:…Rusty. Dusty: I like that. Balto: Those are great names. And the girl? Dusty: Sadie. Jenna: That’s a beautiful name for such beautiful girl. Dusty: Thank you Jenna. Seth: I’m happy for you Kodi. If you need any help with these little racals, I’ll help you no matter what. Kodi: Um….Seth? There is one thing. Seth: What’s that? Dusty: Kodi and I talked it over and….well…. Seth: Yes? Kodi: I know you’ve been through a lot with us. And we’ve done a lot for you in the past. Seth: Yeah. I was half dead on the street when you found me. Balto: And I should have told you this too, Seth. Seth: Tell me what? Balto: You were covered in bruises and there was a lot of blood everywhere. Seth: I don’t remember that. I don’t where I came from before that. And to be honest with you all, I don’t care. What ever happened to me before I was found by Balto, doesn’t matter. You guys are the best friends anyone could ask for. I just wish there was some way make up for all the kindness that you all gave me. Dusty: There is something that you can do. Seth: Then name it. Kodi: We were hoping that you would be the godfather. The whole group is stunned and they all look to Seth. He smirks and laughs at the same time. But only for a second. Seth: You kidding? Dusty: No. Seth: (chuckling) absolutely. A lot of the others come up to Seth and pat him on the head and congratulate him. Kodi: Well come and see them. Seth gets a little nervous and chuckles as he gets close to them. Sadie looks at Seth. He is close to her face. She tries to catch his nose like it’s a toy. Seth backs his head up and they all laugh. Saba: I guess they like you. Kiona: These pups have great future ahead of them. Jake: Yes they do. It’ll be exiting. Kiko: But let’s not try and rush things. The future is a long way away and we don’t know what it holds. Dingo: But what ever the future holds…we’ll all face it. Balto: Together. (Jenna is nuzzling Balto) the strong bond between all of us will never be broken. Jenna: Not Steele even could have broken that. Dusty: Or Niju. Kodi: And if anything comes and threatens Aleu and her pack…I’ll be there to fight along side her. They all nod in agreement. Balto: With Spencer, Rusty and Sadie now born, it marks new begging for all of us. So let’s get started. We zoom out from the window of the vet’s and we see them talking. We then get some shots of Balto’s boat, Rosy sleeping in her bed, John in his bed and Carey and his side. We then get one final shot of Nome and see Aniu standing on a hill that over looks the town. She howls. The howl continues as we fade to black. A message comes up: This film is dedicated to Balto. The hero that motivated the makers of this film. (And when the message comes up we see a picture of the real Balto. We show that for a few seconds and then the message fades away and the credits roll. As they do, we see many shots of Balto and many other characters from the other movies.
