You’ve heard of them haven’t you? Beowolves I mean.  When I was young I use to hear about them. It was said that long ago at the start of the 20^th century human’s decided that in order to gain full control of this world they would have to push most animals out into extinction. To combat this, most of the animal’s children started developing powers. Elemental powers to exact such as fire, ice, lightning, and wind for a few regular elements. Other powers like energy and telekinesis were know in these animals control also. They also learned how to stand on their hind legs like humans, move at high speed and heal from wounds quickly.  Wolves and foxes are the main users in these powers. For the longest time I wouldn’t believe it until I found out these so called legendary creatures were a myth at all, beowolves existed.  But I know what you’re thinking how do I know? Well I meet a few beowolves in I my travels and after being bitten by one now I’m a hybrid but that’s my story. This is their story        

Chapter I: Shadow and Snow

    The wind blew softly as a animal walked through a frozen forest. A young black wolf sniffed the air carefully for rabbits they were the easiest to catch and don’t put up much of fight.  Suddenly his nose twitched and a rabbit ran past him. All right he thought as he snapped his paw.  Instantly time slowed down but the rabbit saw this coming and turned to face the attacker.  Well this is new he thought. Shadow didn’t have any time to react as the rabbit charged and tackled him sending Shadow flying back "Okay enough of this!"  Shadow said. He extended his claws grabbed the tree his was heading toward swung back and struck the rabbit with his paw sending it crashing into the snow.  Shadow broke its neck before it could get up again. No fun at all he thought as started to eat the rabbit but he caught someone’s sent near by actually up in the tree above him. He quietly created a small fireball in his paw and threw it tow everywhere. He looked closely and white patches of fur fall on a near by branch. "Okay! Okay! Stop!" said a voice. "You must have a good nose to catch my scent so quickly." The voice said as a white female wolf jumped from the tree above and landed to greet him. “Of course!" Shadow said confidently. "I'm Shadow what's your name?" Shadow asked "I'm Snow." "Wait, are you like me?" Snow asked. "What do you mean?" Shadow asked confused. “I mean are you a beowolf like me?” "Yeah" Shadow answered. "So you're a beowolf too right?" He said looking at her necklace. “Yeah- ahh!” Snow fell to the ground panting and holding her wounded shoulder. "What’s wrong?" Shadow asked. "You’re stronger than I thought" Snow said looking at her bleeding shoulder. I’d better help her I already lost one friend I’m not losing another Shadow thought. Come on you look tired you can ride on my back if you want to. He’s so caring  and I barely know him could he be my... no silly remember what mom said only if the necklace glows oh well, until then better get some rest Snow thought as she climbed on Shadow’s back. "You ready?" Shadow asked. "Always" Snow replied. And with that, Shadow raced off. ( Note- Beowolf: wolves who have enhanced strength, speed, and have elemental powers)

(Meanwhile out in the distance)

Nomak: Is that them?

Rose: Of course

Kadaj: So we see each other after all these years brother

Rose: Hey Kadaj can I fight him first at least to test strength

Kadaj: Yes but not now let’s bide our time and then strike

Nomak: Perfect

Chapter II: New friends, old foes

Snow awoke in a dark cave the last thing she remembered was Shadow taking them to safety. "I'm glad nothing bad happened." She said looking at her healed shoulder. “Well look who's awake” a voice said.  Snow turned to see Shadow looking at her.  "Well since your up aren’t you hungry." Snow’s stomach growled. "I guess so but where are we going?" Snow asked curiously. "There is a town not far from here, see behind that hill." Shadow and Snow both walked to the top of the hill and looked out at the town. "Well let’s get going" Snow before said and the two raced into the town. "Let’s split up that way we can explore while looking for food also" Shadow said. "Where should we meet up?" Snow asked. "There in that arena" Shadow pointed. Snow sniffed the air trying to catch any scents nearby her nose twitched as she passed by the back door of a restaurant. Perfect she thought. Shadow walked back to the arena smacking his lips as he walked. He saw Snow waiting for him there. “So what did you find?” Shadow asked. “Two long rings sausage and what about you?” Snow asked. “A bag of rice and some chicken and let’s just says the humans didn't see a thing.” The two wolves started walking around a bit.  "Hey Shadow got something on your nose" Snow said. Shadow looked at his nose and saw a pink flower petal where did that come from? Shadow thought as he flicked it off. "Enjoying the sights?" A voice said. "Show yourself!" Shadow said.  A flurry of petals swirled around them and a pink wolf appeared after the flurry settled. "Who are you?" Snow asked. "The names Rose but don't worry about that to cut to the chase Kadaj, yes Shadow your brother is still alive and he needs you and your friend's powers I’m not telling why but we will get them one way or another so you two are coming with me conscious or not ok." Rose said getting on her hind legs and taking an attack stance. Snow stepped out of the arena to give Shadow some room. "Ok fine!" "Bring it on then!" Shadow said getting on his hind legs. “Here we go!”  Rose said and started throwing petals at Shadow and he dogged them and wondered why he was until a petal cut his arm. He looked back after dodging them and she was gone. “Too fast for you Shadow?” Rose said as she pulsed behind him.  "What the-" Shadow started to say then Rose flip kicked him into the air.  Rose dove up towards him but Shadow blocked her attack and side kicked her hard sending her falling back to the ground. Shadow landed on the ground put his paws together pulled them apart slowly as a fireball appeared in-between them at blasted it straight toward Rose.  She wasn't impressed by the blast and easily sent flying toward a building next to them smoke was everywhere. “That's all?” She asked then the instant the smoke cleared Shadow came out and punched her twice in the face one in the chest grabbed her and finished by driving a fiery paw through her stomach.  He did it! Snow thought. Shadow stared at Rose who went limp after the attack. "Wait a sec that was-" Shadow started. "Too easy?" Rose finished. Oh no! I'm wide open!  Shadow thought. The clone Shadow drove through turned into petals and the real Rose charged at him punched him twice in the face one in the stomach and ended it with a swift roundhouse kick, which sent him spinning. Shadow hit the ground with a thud and Rose stood over him and picked him up Shadow spit blood out off his mouth and smiled. "Why the heck are you smiling?" "You're about to leave this world." Rose said about to kill him. Shadow looked at her and rubbed some blood off his mouth "Because I get to do this!" The blood in his paw flowed onto his claws and Shadow drove through Rose head. This time Shadow waited and knew she was still around somewhere. He looked around as the Rose clone faded into petals and he saw the real one in a corner worn out. “So... you are... powerful....I....I see what you're Kadaj's brother.” Rose said and clasped groaning in pain. Just then, two wolves appeared out of nowhere. The second brown wolf Nomak walked toward Rose put her on his back and both disappeared after that the first black wolf with a scar on his right eye Kadaj walked toward Shadow. “Well hello little bro" Kadaj said. “Shut up! Kadaj and stop calling me bro you've been exiled.” Shadow said. “Now do you think that's polite, I mean what would mom or even dad say if they hear you taking like that huh?” Kadaj replied. Angry Shadow lunged at Kadaj and tried to get his throat but Kadaj punched him back with an electric paw. Shadow lay on the ground in pain of the electric shock going through his body. "Well now, it looks like it’s over at your still as weak as ever loser.  Kadaj said and his paws glowed with energy. “Good-bye brother.”

Chapter III: Reapers and Separation 

“No!!” Snow shouted and shot a ice blast at Kadaj but he dodged it. “Don’t you touch him!” Snow shouted as she got in between Shadow and Kadaj. "Aww how sweet looks like you get to join him too." Kadaj said and put his paw right in front of her. "You can thank him for this Shadow." Kadaj said. Suddenly a bright light came around Snow and Shadow. Shadow looked up and saw all this light looked at Snow and passed out as the light engulfed them both.  Shadow awoke in a cave similar to the first one he and Snow were in but it wasn’t. Great now where am I?  Ugh he had to teach Kadaj that warping technique. Snow, oh no where is she? I hope she’s all right where ever she is. Shadow thought as he got up and walked out of the cave. Snow moaned as she came to her senses What happened? Where am I? Snow thought “Shadow! Shadow where are you?” Snow called. “Please be all right.” Snow whispered as she walked. Shadow felt pain as he walked his wounds had not healed since his fight with Rose.  They must have been deeper that I thought better head back, rest, and let these wounds heal. Shadow thought. “Huh?” He caught someone’s scent but only for a second. "Oh well" he said as he walked back to the cave. Snow walked on and found a cave to sleep in for the night she yawned as she entered the cave “I better get some rest no telling what could happen tomorrow.” Snow said as she looked up at the sun. “Hope you’re all right Shadow.” she said as laid down in the back of the cave closed her eyes and fell asleep. Shadow awoke to a strange noise outside the cave and went to check it out. He looked out and saw a strange silver creature that had sword like blades for hands and a hood for a face. So that's a reaper. He thought. “It doesn’t look so tough.” Shadow said. He charged claws out at the reaper and tried slashing at it but it dogged all of his attacks with ease and countered him sending it's blade toward Shadow but he avoided it in time. Okay maybe it's a little tough. Shadow thought. He ran toward it pretending to attack slipped behind it put both his paws toward the reaper “Take this!” Shadow shouted and flames engulfed the reaper it shrieked and obliterated into a silvery-white mist. Shadow saw another figure  pulsed and tacked it to the ground it put a fight and struggled a lot it was only until they both had their claws at each others neck did who they where fighting with. "Snow?" Shadow said in disbelief. Shadow? Snow said looking into his eyes. They both just realized how close their faces were to each other they blushed and he got off her. “So what were those things anyway?” She asked. “Those are reapers biological creatures created by humans to drain beo energy from wolves like us.” “What do humans want with our powers? I have no clue about that.” “Well what now? Snow asked concerned. “I don’t know but I now what we can do for now.” “What?” She asked. “Get you cleaned up you must have run into four reapers to look like that.” he said looking at her bloody white coat. “Oh!” Snow giggled.     

Night came as Snow  entered a lake. “Never thought the water could feel so good.” Snow said as she washed the blood off her white coat It’s a good thing Shadow found this lake. Snow thought. She did ask Shadow if he wanted to join her but he went cave hunting after he showed her the lake. After washing, all the blood off she got out of the pool and stretched. “Well if you’re sleepy I found a cave while hunting already warmed up for you, it’s over there past that tree.” Shadow said pointing toward the tree. They both laid down deep in the warmth of the cave. Snow tried to sleep but she couldn’t she had to ask him. “Shadow? Hey still awake?” She asked. “Hmm?” Shadow mumbled. “Um...do you like me?” She asked. "Of course." He replied. "No I mean more than a friend." She said. Shadow turned over and looked deep into Snow’s brown eyes. “I’m not sure I’m ready to get a mate yet and also our necklaces have to glow remember but to answer your question, yes I do like you.” He nuzzled her lovingly as Snow snuggled next to Shadow. Unknown to both of them while they slept their necklaces glowed.  The next morning Snow awoke from noises outside the cave she looked at Shadow who seemed tense. “What’s wrong?” She asked. “Shh!” “Go back to the other opening.” Shadow whispered. “Reapers again?” She asked. No just humans it looks like they found us. Shadow said. “How?” Snow asked. “I’m guessing that the first I destroyed was a scout to find us.” Shadow answered. “Now go hurry!” Snow rushed to the other side of the cave entrance Shadow followed behind her. As Snow got out, she jumped to the nearest tree to see everything.  Shadow got out the last thing he heard before the dart hit was Snow call out his name. However, it was too late the dart hit him he pulled it out but what ever was in it was making his body go num. Just then, human agents appeared and surrounded him. "Snow get out here!" He shouted. "But-" She started "Just go!" Shadow shouted. Snow fled leaving Shadow. "Resistance is futile.” A agent said. "Just come along quietly." He said. “As if!” Shadow said charging at the agent. The agent dogged his attack and shot him in the side Shadow cried out in pain. Snow was running as fast as she could she heard a gunshot and Shadow cries out and regretted leaving his side. "Shadow I’m sorry I’m so sorry." She cried. Shadow saw only saw bits and pieces of things but he knew he was in some tall building and he heard the humans say they were going to do some experiments. "So this is how it ends huh?" He said before passing out.

Chapter IV: Reunion and Escape

Snow raced toward Shadow’s scent trying not to lose it. She slid to a stop at the edge of a cliff, and looked out at the city Shadow hold on I’m coming Snow thought. She jumped down the cliff and entered the city. While in the city she was very curious about this tall building she saw. He has to be in there, I can feel it. Snow thought. There were guards but she took them out quickly so she got inside.  It was some kind research lab on the inside with long hallways. As she turned one hallway, she saw Nomak standing beside a door at the end of the hall. "Oh... it's you." Snow said annoyed. "Nomak so wanna play?" Nomak asked. "Um... No!" Snow said. "Sorry but if you want to see your friend again you’re going to have to go through me, so let’s play." Snow sighed and took an attack stance. "This should be fun." Nomak said taking an attack stance. Snow charged and punched at him but he blocked it with his arm. "Fast." Nomak said. Snow faked a punch to the face and hit him in the chest and then face, stomach, chest and went faster and faster ending it a roundhouse kick causing Nomak to slide a little. "Little punk!" Nomak growled and countered her assault by punching her with and earth covered paw sending her flying backward but she flipped out it and landed on the ground. "Impressive" Snow said. "Just bring it!" Nomak said. Snow' s eyes turned a light blue and she ran at Nomak jumped and did a sliding kick but he jumped over her and landed only to have Snow appear beside him to elbow and send him crashing through a nearby window. Snow jumped in after him knowing he wasn’t dead. She saw the blood from his impact and noticed some pieces of glass were missing. "Where are you?" Snow asked. Time slowed down as she dodged the shards of glass. Snow saw Nomak charge and punch at her but she dodged and countered it with her own ice punch he blocked it. Nomak then slammed a earth paw on her arm causing it to go numb and kicked her aside sending her to a wall. He charged at her but she faked him out and drove her claws deep in him freezing half of his back. "Ahh! Let go of me!" Nomak shouted. Ok see ya! Snow said letting go and jump kicking him toward a window. "Not bad." Nomak smirked as he covered himself in a dark ball and fell out the window. Snow saw him just disappear into thin air. Darn he got away. She thought as she walked to the door Nomak was guarding and went inside. Shadow! Snow shouted. Uhh...Snow? Shadow said weakly. He was being drained of his blood through four tubes in his arms and legs. "Hang on!" She said cutting the tubes with her claws. Shadow fell but Snow caught him. "You okay?" Snow asked. “Blood.” Shadow said weakly. Here, take some of mine. Snow said putting his head near her neck. You sure? Shadow asked not wanting to hurt her. "Of course, I trust you Shadow."  She said smiling. Snow moaned softly as Shadow feed on her blood. "Um, guys you might want to hurry up!" A voice said. Shadow stopped feeding on Snow's blood turned and saw a brown and silver wolf. "Who are you? Snow asked. "I'm Silver um Shadow are you done feeding?" "If so than let's get out of here." Silver said. Shadow looked at Snow "Hey you ok?" "Hope I didn't take too much blood from you." Shadow said. "Its okay I'm fine." Snow said.  The place was on full alert guards were everywhere in the halls. "Okay I see a door at the end of each hall." Silver said. "All right let's use those then." Shadow said. Each of the fights with the guards didn't last more than 1 minute. Shadow looked at the other two halls when he finished and saw blood everywhere in Snow's hall and watched as two guards got up shaking, terrified at how one wolf took down ten guards with ease. One guard pulled out a small knife. “Damn wolf take this!" He said as he lunged to stab at her but Snow caught his arm with her paw and twisted it in a counterclockwise direction breaking it. The guard screamed in pain but Snow put him out of his misery by slashing across his chest. Blood sprayed from him onto her coat.  Shadow looked away in terror. Well you know he isn't getting back up. Shadow thought. He looked back and saw the other guard up in the air Snow had impaled him through the stomach. "Not possible." The guard wheezed. "It's not possible." He said again and Snow spun around got him off her paw and kicked sending him flying towards the wall. Shadow watched as the guard went splat against the wall blood everywhere. "Geez did you have to do all that to them Snow?" Shadow asked walking toward her. "Of course! I could let them get away with what they did no way!" Snow said. "Because you like him right?" Silver asked." What! No Shadow's a good friend." Snow said blushing. "But you want more than friendship; I can see it in your eyes." Silver said. "All right lets go already okay we can talk later."  Shadow said. With that done the three of them ran off. After finding a cave the three decided to rest for a while. “I’m going rest for a bit, wake me if you two see or hear anything strange okay.” Shadow said laying down. “All right.” Silver said. “You can count on us.” Snow said laying beside Shadow who had closed his eyes. Hmm your out there aren’t you. Silver thought looking out of the cave.

Chapter V: Dark Pasts

Shadow felt something strange yet familiar. Someone was licking his back, it felt good until whoever it was licked a little too hard. "Ahh! Hey!" Shadow said in pain a little. "Oh! Sorry Shadow." Snow said. "Where's Silver at?" Shadow asked. “He's over there.”  Snow answered. “So finally woke up huh?” Silver said. “Hey can I ask you both a question?” Silver asked. “Sure.” Snow said. “What makes you guys fight the way you do I mean what motivates you two?” Silver said. Shadow sat and thought for a sec but Snow lowered her head and a tear fell off her cheek. “Hey are you okay Snow?” Shadow asked putting his paw on her shoulder. “Not really” Snow said wiping away the tear. “We all have pasts were not happy about.” Shadow said stroking her back a little. “You feel like talking about it.” Silver asked. “I guess so” Snow said. "It was my fault it happened to me anyway." Snow whispered. “What happened?” Silver asked. “It was when I was 2 years old,  I  still had not mastered my element yet,  but when I had told on Sky and Vlad for trying to take out the elders of our clan, they said they would get back at me.  I never believed them though but then they followed me back home, attacked me and took me deep into the woods where they hangout.” Snow said.

(Flashback)

"Sky!" Snow said as Sky dragged her along a path. “Shut up!” Sky said. "Sky wait!'' Snow cried. "He said shut up!" Vlad said.  "Lift up your tail" Sky said. "But" Snow cried. "Hey you can make this easy or you can get crap beat out of you" Vlad said walking up to her.  “All right all right” Snow said lifting her tail very slowly. Sky who was losing his patience punched her in the face and got on top of her. "Sky get off me!" Get off!" Snow screamed knowing that Sky was going rape her. But Sky didn't care he liked hearing her scream. "Someone, anyone help me please!" Snow screamed as Sky forced her legs open. (Flashback Stopped)

Snow was crying now tears damping her fur. "So no one came?” Silver asked. "Yes, someone did come." Shadow said smirking. "Who?" Silver asked. "So that was you?" Snow said wiping her tears away.

(Flashback continued)

Shadow walked back home but hear some calling for help so he took off in that direction. When he got there he stopped so he could get the jump on whoever he was going to get. Meanwhile Snow was curled in a ball on the ground with tears going down her face after being violated by Sky. She thought she was going to die here. “Okay can we kill her now? You had your fun with her but we can’t have her talking about it can we?” Vlad asked. Someone please don't let them kill me.  I don't want to die. Snow thought. Vlad walked over to Snow who was still on the ground. "Hey guess what, its time to say good night." Vlad said putting his paws on Snow throat and squeezing. Snow was struggling to breathe. Sky who watching felt some heat and turned to see a fireball blast him. Vlad turned to see what just happened. "Didn't your mom teach you not to pick on females?" Shadow said walking out of the darkness. Sky who had recovered from the sneak attack got off the ground. "Oh so what are you, her big brother?" Vlad asked. “Nope just some random wolf looking for trouble" Shadow said. "Trouble eh?" Sky said "Then you picked the right wolves to mess with!" Vlad shouted as he charged at Shadow. Shadow calmly dodged Vald’s punch and poked him in the shoulder with his claw. Sky ran and did a sliding kick but Shadow jumped over him a landed beside Snow. "You aren't getting away that easily kid." Vlad said. "Who said I was?" Shadow said. Annoyed Sky shot ice shards at Shadow who made a fire shield blocking the shards. After the shield faded he looked and saw Sky has disappeared. “Aww man where did you go?” Shadow wined. “Right here loser.” Sky said as he punched Shadow in face. Shadow stood there unfazed by the attack. “Wow, your pretty weak ain’t ya?” Shadow said poking Sky in the shoulder. “What did you just say you punk.” Sky said as he punched again but Shadow blocked it. "I said your weak." Shadow said pushing Sky back a few feet.  “Come on Sky your going to let some adolescent kick you around.” Vlad said. "Yeah see this adolescent happens to be Raiko's brother." Shadow said. Both Sky and Vlad's eyes opened wide. "Wait that means he is the son of-" Vlad started. "Yes Takemaru." Shadow ended hold up one paw.  "Th- that's the  RUN!!! Vlad said. The two got up and ran as fast as they could from Shadow. "It doesn't matter how far you run you know!" Shadow said aloud for them to hear. He then closed his paw two seconds later you could hear an explosion and screams.   Sweet dreams. Shadow thought. He walked toward Snow who was still curled in a ball. "Hey are you-" Shadow started to say as he touched Snow.  "No leave me alone!" Snow shouted making spikes of ice stick out of her fur. "I'm not going to hurt you."  Shadow said backing up at seeing the spikes. I guess I can trust him. Snow thought as she retracted the spikes. "Come on I'll take you back home." Shadow said as she got on his back.  After taking Snow back to her clan Shadow left, but not before Snow asked him will they meet again.

(Flashback over)

Snow was nuzzling Shadow with tears in her eyes. “All this time I’ve been searching for that wolf that saved those years ago, that was my motivation. But he was here with me the whole time, thank you Shadow.” Snow said before licking his face. "Wow so you both knew each other before this started eh." Silver said sitting. "Yeah but its what happed after I left that stated this." Shadow said holding his necklace tightly.

(Flashback)

 Clouds covered the sky as Shadow finally made back to the clan but when he got there everyone was gone. There were signs of struggling and fighting but few bodies. The stench of Kadaj and Raiko was everywhere. Shadow found the rest of the clan in a cave with the elders. "Hmm looks they been having some fun." Shadow said to himself looking at a high cliff. When he got up there he saw Kadaj and a wolf with black fur with white under it holding a dead female by the neck. “You showed up.” The wolf said to him. “Wow Raiko you and Kadaj sure know how to throw a party. No food, didn’t leave us any water to drink, and the only female here just left this world.” Shadow said pacing. “Sorry if the party is not to your liking brother, I was just so eager to see you Kadaj and I could not concentrate on preparations for the bash.” Raiko said. “Yeah whatever, anyway its been a whole two years since we last meet. How about a kiss from your little brother? Or better yet how about a kiss from THIS!” Shadow said getting on his hind legs with his paw glowing orange red with fire, pointing at Raiko who was also on his hind legs.  “So this is what humans call a heartwarming family reunion eh?” Shadow asked as rain started to fall. “You got that right.” Raiko said  his claws with dark flames as rain started to fall harder.

 (Flashback stopped)

“WHOA, whoa wait a minute! You had another brother?” Snow asked in disbelief. “Yep and we never got along.” Shadow answered. “Any reason why?” Silver asked. “If your bro killed your best friend who was skilled in fighting, your mother who taught you how to fight, and father who taught you how to access your Lycan Trigger by showing you what you would lose by not gaining it just to test his own power you would be pissed at him too.  (Flashback continued)

Both Raiko and Shadow were tired but Shadow was tired more. Getting up on his hind legs once more and making a flame sword Shadow ran toward his brother. Shadow swung at him but Raiko dodged it, he tried to stab him and Raiko pushed it aside with his dark flame sword and spear kicked him. As a last resort Shadow swung at Raiko’s head while in the air but he blocked it too sending Shadow to the ground a few feet away. As a last resort Shadow sent a flurry of fireballs at Raiko but he easily knocked them out of the way and shot a large ball of dark energy at Shadow. Shadow lifted his flame sword as high as he could and swung down hard slicing the ball in two. "Why do you refuse to gain his power? The power our father Takemaru left behind?" Raiko asked. "Father?" Shadow said chuckling lightly. "With you two around I don't have a father." Shadow answered getting back on his hind legs again. "Then why did you come back then brother." Raiko said. "Easy I just hate you two that's all." Shadow said.

Neither of them moved only after a bolt of lighting that the two wolves pulsed toward each other, swung, and locking the two fire blades. They stated locked for two minutes until Raiko finally pushed up knocking Shadow's blade of his paws which dissolved. Shadow was too tired to move after his sword dissolved and Raiko seeing him defenseless drove his paw into Shadow's stomach. "Foolishness Shadow, foolishness!" Raiko said before driving his paw further into him. "Might controls everything, and without strength you cannot protect anyone." Raiko said as Shadow tried to get off but he drove his paw deep into him. "Not even yourself." Raiko whispered into his ear before pulling his paw out of him. Time slowed as Shadow fell back blood coming out of his wound. He tried to slash Raiko as he fell back but Raiko cut his paw with his claws. Even the rain seemed to fall as slow as he hit the ground defeated. Raiko looked at his brother all most lifeless body and walked away on all fours. "Well at least he can join mom and dad now, not like he could even get a mate anyway." Kadaj said as he joined Raiko. Shadow seemed to hear all this because a burst of new energy surged through him creating a wall of water, which he pulsed through and tried to get to Raiko but Kadaj got he the way. Shadow blocked Kadaj's strike and slashed his right eye and continued toward Raiko who rose back on his hind legs. Shadow struck with a flaming paw to his throat but Raiko caught it with his paw. "Ahh, I see the wolf inside you has awakened as well." Raiko said seeing Shadow's orange red eyes.  Shadow grabbed Raiko's arm tossed him aside. Raiko landed with ease and Kadaj held his bleeding face seeing Shadow walking toward them breathing heavy. "No way, let me kill this son of a-" Kadaj started but Raiko stopped him. "No, just look at him Kadaj he's more than happy to kill us that is motivation enough for him. Besides we will find his grave, well try not to miss me little bro." Raiko said before pulsing away. "Next time we meet your dead." Kadaj warned before pulsing away as well. Shadow with the energy coursing through him let out a loud and powerful howl changing into a werewolf for ten second before changing back and collapsing. Shadow woke up in he parents den with a female elder watching over him. He tried to get up but the elder lightly pushed him back down. "Rest young one, rest." The elder said in a calm soothing voice.

I'll get both of you back for this taking out everyone I care for I will stop you. Shadow thought before going to sleep.

(Flashback over)

"After I healed I trained hard those two years to master the power, then after I did I sent out to stop them. You pretty much know the story from there." Shadow said before laying his head down. "Man, so what about you Silver?" Snow asked. Silver was about to answer but he noticed a flower petal outside the cave. Silver walked out a little ways and stopped. "It Rose isn't it?" Shadow said growling. "Yes, but let me deal with her it my fault she left our clan." Silver said. "Wait Rose was in your clan but she's from the wind clan, how can she-" Shadow stated but Silver cut him off. "Rose was adopted into the kinesis/energy clan. After her parents died from reapers. She's in darkness now, but I know I can bring her back.” Silver said before taking off into the forest.

Chapter VI: Blood Seal and the Crystal City part 1

The forest itself was maze like as Silver walked through it knowing she had to be here somewhere. Suddenly he stopped seeing a flower petal fall to the ground. "You, I know you don't I?" Rose asked as she appeared in a tree above Silver. "Its been too long Rose." Silver said seeing her land. "Yeah it has been too long...for you to be alive that is." Rose said before sending a flurry of petals at Silver, seeing this coming shot a psychic blast toward them. “Not good enough.” Rose said as she pulsed behind him and struck him in the side. Silver recovering from the attack grabbed Rose and threw her toward a tree hitting it hard. “You betrayed me Silver. I’ll never forgive you for IT!” Rose shouted charging toward him. Meanwhile back at the cave. “So Kadaj and Raiko are trying to get the bulk of your father’s power that he sealed somewhere right?” Snow asked as she watched Shadow practice his fighting techniques. “Yep that’s it.” Shadow answered. “Wait so where is Raiko now? After all that has happened I thought we would have seen him by now.” Snow said. “Nah he’s closer than you think, right bro!” Shadow said shooting a fireball toward a far tree. “Heh you were always good at sensing us.” Raiko said as he appeared to them. “So your his brother eh. You don’t look so tough!” Snow said as she pulsed toward Raiko. “Snow wait!” Shadow shouted. Raiko dodged her ice slash easily and grabbed her by the throat and lifting her up. “Hmm you know Shadow, I should just seal her womb so mating with her would be useless.” Raiko said dark flames going through his claws. Snow drove her claws into Raiko’s arm but he didn’t even flinch.  Shadow pulsed behind Raiko but he vanished as Shadow tried to strike him. “Don’t worry you two I’ll kick you around later.” Raiko said as he disappeared. Snow fell to the ground in shock of what all most happened. “He… he could have…sealed…no that’s impossible that should not be possible.” Snow said her voice getting louder and louder. “Snow calm down its okay, he’s gone.” Shadow said putting his paw of her shoulder. “I almost couldn’t have pups for the rest of my life! How can I calm down!” Snow shouted to Shadow. “Because we are going to stop him okay that’s why.” Shadow said nuzzling her. Meanwhile Silver and Rose landed a few feet away from each other. “You betrayed me!” Rose shouted sending a storm of petals a Silver who created a psychic barrier around himself. “I did not betray you, I would never do that to you.” Silver said making the barrier bigger. “YOU”RE LYING!” Rose shouted making the storm even harder breaking Silver barrier and sending him flying back. “We both went out to hunt, then you start acting suspicious, and then humans come and attack me while you fled like a coward.” Rose said walking toward him. “I had to go…I knew both of us could not take all of them…so I had-” Silver started but Rose interrupted him. “Had to what huh? Rose said before pulsing in his face, grabbing him and throwing him into a tree. “To go back and get help.” Silver said trying get up only to be pinned down by Rose. “Enough lies Silver! Just die!” Rose said raising her paw. “Fine then kill me.” Silver said turning his head. Rose stood there for a moment. Why can’t I do it he deserves it. But another part of me doesn’t want too. Rose thought as she lowered her head toward his and put her paw down. “Well, what’s the matter Rose? Do it!” Silver said. “You’ll be…” Rose said softly in his ear. “What was that?” Silver asked not making that last part out. “My mate, will you be my mate? Rose asked. “After all this NEVER!” Silver said trying get her off. “I’m sorry…at least break this seal.” Rose said tears going down her face. Silver noticed a glowing red mark on her neck. “Lucky for you my father taught me how to get blood seals off.” Silver said as Rose got off him and lied down with her back facing him. Silver took his claw and sliced his right paw letting blood flow on it. “You know this is going to hurt right?” Silver asked. “I know it will just get it off.” Rose said as Silver got on  her back. “Undone by blood, by blood undone.” Silver said. “Thank you.” Rose said as she felt Silver place a paw on her neck. Rose stood there for a second but then started to moan, scream and shake in pain, after a minute she stopped moving. “You okay Rose?”  Silver asked as he got off her. “Yeah I’m fine, well see you around.” Rose said getting up about to leave. “Hey come on Rose I didn’t mean it.” Silver said blocking her way. “Then prove it.” Rose said. “How?” Silver asked. Rose nuzzled him lightly. “Be my mate.” Rose said softly in his ear. Silver was silent for a moment, thinking as Rose stepped back and looked at him. “Come on Silver, I’ve been meaning to ask you that ever since I became old enough. But since our necklaces would have to glow.” Rose said walking past him and sitting. Before Silver could say something his necklace started glow same with Rose. They turned and looked at each other. “So does this mean we can be?” Rose said as she walked toward Silver. They started at each other for a while until Silver kissed her. Rose blushed a little then kissed him back. They could not take it anymore as they kissed passionately. Rose leaned back on the ground moaning as Silver licked her neck lightly. Suddenly Silver stopped and got off her. “I can’t, not yet at least.” Silver said sitting. “I’m sorry, guess I got a little too excited with you being my mate and all.” Rose said. “Yeah, it okay. Wait, Shadow and Snow I almost forgot about them, come on Rose.” Silver said before the both of them walked back to the cave. When they got back Snow was waiting for them. “Welcome back Silver, oh and you too Rose.” Snow said sitting at the mouth of the cave. “Well well we meet again Rose.” Shadow said getting up. “Yeah um…sorry about that little scuffle back at the arena. I wasn’t myself back there.” Rose said. “Ah don’t worry about it. But since you were with Kadaj for awhile you must know where he and Raiko are headed next.” Shadow asked sitting. “Yes I do actually, there headed for the Crystal city.” Rose said. “Ugh great just great, more places from the past.” Shadow said getting up and walking away from the cave. “Hey, where are you going?” Snow asked getting up. “To Crystal city where else, you guys coming or not already.” Shadow said before he continued walking. Silver, Rose and Snow looked at each other before following after Shadow.

Chapter VII: The Crystal City part 2

Shadow, Snow, Rose, and Silver pressed onward toward the city. It was a silent walk for a while until Rose broke it. “What did you mean by place from the past?” Rose asked as they walked. “My mother and father would train me there to control my element and teach me the basics of fighting. They we good at doing that too.” Shadow said smirking.

(Flashback)

Shadow flew back and landed on the rocky ground the wind knocked out of him. His mother Asuka on her hind legs looked at him lowering her leg. “Stand Shadow. Get up my son.” Asuka said to him. Shadow tired to get up but he couldn’t his body hurt too much. Asuka shook her head in shame and started to walk away. No can’t lose. I’ve trained too much to give up now. Shadow thought rising slowly getting back on his hind legs. “This isn’t over.” Shadow said. “Yes it is Shadow rest for now we will continue tomorrow. Asuka said still walking. Shadow growled and pulsed toward her. Asuka hearing a heartbeat turned and leaned her head back dodging a midair kick. As Shadow landed he slashed and punched at her with all his might. Asuka easily blocked and dodged every strike and slash aimed at her, moving back at the same time. Shadow pressed the attack going even faster than before. He struck so fast that Asuka tripped and started to fall back. Shadow took this chance mustered up all his strength in this last punch and struck Asuka in the stomach sending her sliding back. Asuka recovering from the strike went back to all fours. “Mother!” Shadow said running to her on all fours. “Are you okay?” Shadow said nuzzling his mother’s soft cream colored fur. “Gotcha!” Asuka said grabbing him and nibbling on his ear. “Ha ha stop, it tickles no!” Shadow said trying to get away. After the playful torture Shadow rested against his mother’s head. “Well done Shadow. Your father will be proud.” Asuka said before licking his cheek. “Now dad’s going to help me control and master my fire element right.” Shadow asked. “Yes he will teach you the way his father taught him to control it, as the way my mother taught me how to fight.” Asuka said. Shadow’s stomach growled. “Ha ha hungry?” Asuka said. “Starving I thought we would never get to hunt.” Shadow said as he and Asuka got up.  “You will need all your strength for tomorrow Shadow, so eat and rest well.” Takemaru said walking toward them his jet black and gray. “Yes sir, I will.” Shadow said sitting looking straight into his father’s golden eyes. “How did he do?” Takemaru asked before nuzzling Asuka. “Excellent.” Asuka said. “Good, good now remember Shadow use this power to protect those you care about, the more you care about them the stronger you will be.” Takemaru said before scratching Shadow’s ear. “Someone to protect huh?” Shadow said.

“Come on, I thought you were starving.” Asuka called to him. “I’m coming ma, I’m coming.” Shadow said running after her. Wish you could see him father, he looks a lot like you. Takemaru thought as he watched them leave.

(Flashback over)

“You were very close to them I see.” Snow said. “Shadow, you said that your older brother killed a friend of yours, what was his name?” Silver asked. “His name was Axel, very good a loyal friend of mine. We would get in all sorts of trouble together.” Shadow said chuckling at little. “Heads up guys I think were here.” Silver said. The four wolves stopped looking out into a forest. But it was different than any forest they had seen, the trees were leafless and the bark was sparkling. “Its beautiful.” Rose said in awe. “Yeah, I’m glad you like it.” A voice said. The group turned to see Nomak sitting far from them. “You again!?”  Snow said. “Yep see ya!” Nomak said slamming his paw on the ground creating a wall of earth sending them all into the forest below. After recovering from the surprise attack Shadow spotted Kadaj and Raiko waiting for him. “What’s up little bro.” Raiko taunted. Enraged Shadow pulsed toward him only to be blocked by Kadaj. “Come on, save some anger for me too.” Kadaj said before sending a blast of lightning toward him. Shadow got up on his hind legs before pulsing away from it. “Please don’t run it only makes it worse.” Kadaj said about to send another but stopped frozen. “Huh?” Shadow said confused, only to see Silver with a green aura around him. “Go on Shadow, I’ll take him.” Silver said holding Kadaj with psychic energy. “Thanks.” Shadow said before following Raiko who had left. “Hmm so you’re my opponent eh? This will be amusing.” Kadaj said curling into a ball before unleashing a wave of lightning.  Silver released him quickly and pulsed away from it. The instant he stopped moving Nomak popped out of the ground below him grabbing his legs. But before he could slam Silver into the ground Snow and Rose side kicked him. “Nomak is mine deal with Kadaj.” Snow said. “So we meet again wolf.” Nomak said with a smile on his face. “The names Snow and don’t forget it.” Snow said charging at him. Meanwhile Shadow was already fighting Raiko, doing better than last time. “Hmm so you have gotten at bit stronger since we left.” Raiko said. “Of course I did, to take you both down!” Shadow shouted sending a large fireball at Raiko. Raiko easily knocked the fireball aside and shot his own dark fireball at him. Shadow pulsed behind him when he did this. Raiko already saw this coming a grabbed him out of the pulse movement and slam him into the ground hard. “Try harder bro.” Raiko said seeing Shadow with the wind knocked out of him. “Wow is it actually going to end the same way as last time?” Raiko asked stepping on his throat with a burning paw. Shadow’s cry was choked out by the burning pain. “Well its been fun.” Raiko said raising his paw to finish him. At the same time he struck down Rose pulsed right where they where and sent a wave of petals at Raiko. “Ah, the traitor returns.” Raiko said dodging her attack.  “Save it, you used my own hatred and memories with that blood seal Raiko, its payback time.” Rose said about the send another wave of petals but Raiko stopped her with a spear kick to the face. Rose flew back hitting a tree in the process. “Well I suppose that’s enough fun for now.” Raiko said. “No, were not done yet Raiko!” Shadow said pulsing toward him. “Save your strength Shadow, the real party well begins shortly.” Raiko said disappearing. “Ugh, why does this keep happening?” Shadow said. Suddenly a loud cry of pain was heard. Instantly Rose and Shadow pulsed to it. When they got there they saw Snow on the ground bleeding and Silver with an earth spike through his chest. “Well time to go.” Kadaj said seeing Shadow as he and Nomak pulsed away. “Ohh…Shadow did you get him?” Snow asked recovering. “He got away.” Shadow said. “No…Silver!” Rose said seeing him. His golden eyes barely open and lifeless form non responsive as Rose shook him. Rose pulled the spike out of his chest and sliced her paw. “Don’t leave me.” Rose said tears in her eyes as she sprinkled her blood on his wound and in his mouth. “Come on, come on, Silver, Silver!” Rose cried as she lightly hit his face then harder and harder finally slamming her paw on his chest. “DAMN IT!” Rose cried tears running down her face. Shadow and Snow stood there in disbelief in what just happened. “I”LL KILL I SWEAR I”LL KILL HIM FOR TAKING MY MATE FROM ME!” Rose shouted petals swirled around her as she changed into her Lycan from. “Don’t worry I know where they went anyway.” Shadow said. “Where did they go?” Rose said calming down and changing back. Snow’s eyes widen as she looked into Shadow’s now golden eyes knowing what he was going to say. “Back home.” Shadow said. “Back to the place where this whole thing started huh.” Snow said. “Yeah it’s not to far from here.” Shadow said. “Rose, are you going to be okay?” Snow said. “I’ll be fine.” Rose said. The three wolves started walking away but Rose stopped hearing something. Rose. “Huh?” Rose said looking back at Silver’s body. Her necklace started to glow again but stopped. “Thank you Silver.” Rose said quietly.

Chapter VIII: Wolves Never Cry

 The three wolves started back toward Shadow’s home, already knowing what was in store for them. “Are you sure were ready for this?” Rose asked. “Yes, we are. It’s about time we face them and finish this.” Shadow said. “Yeah, Raiko used me to draw you out; I need to atone for that anyway.” Rose said.  “Nomak and I have a score to settle so once he is down I’ll help you with Raiko.” Snow said. “No I’ll finish this alone.” Shadow said. “But I know you’ll need help Raiko and Kadaj are too strong to take alone.” Snow said looking at Shadow. “Snow please I have to face them alone with any help from either of you, if I can’t beat my own brothers how can father pups Snow?” Shadow said. Pups? So he does want me as a mate. Snow thought blushing hard and looking away from him. “If I’m there I can make sure you come back alive.” Snow said. “Enough Snow your not going to change his mind.” Rose said. “So be it then, if you must fight him alone go, I’ll be here waiting for you.” Snow said with an unhappy look on her face. “Don’t worry I’m not going to die on you, I’m promise you that.” Shadow said looking into her eyes. As they walked a little father Shadow stopped at a hill. “So this is where it ends, at the beginning.” Shadow said. “Ugh, wha- what is this strange feeling like death itself is around me?” Rose said breathing heavy. “My brother’s combined power is what you are feeling.” Shadow said.  “Just their power is this strong? Its like the air got thinner.” Snow said breathing heavy also. “Why are you affected Shadow.” Rose asked. “I’ve been around this power all my life, I’m used to them combing it. Come on let’s stop this already.” Shadow answered. With that said the three went into Shadow’s clan. The instant they got there thought they were attacked by countless reapers. “Go on guy’s I’ll hold them off.” Rose said. “You sure?” Shadow asked. “Don’t worry they won’t get past me.” Rose said changing into her Lycan form and sent a large wave of petals at the group while charging at the same time.  As Rose dealt with the reapers Shadow and Snow met the clan’s elder who was in a cave with the rest of the pack. “Elder Agni.” Shadow said bowing with Snow in respect. “Ahh young Shadow you have returned at last.” Agni said. “Where are they?” Shadow asked. “You already know the answer to that question, the past is repeating itself but will it end the same too? I think not.” Agni answered. “So there huh?” Shadow said. “We’re going to that high cliff again aren’t we?” Snow said. “Yep it’s where father’s power was sealed off at.” Shadow said.  Instantly they pulsed to the bottom of it but when they did Nomak was waiting for them. “Nomak’s yours right?” Shadow said. Yeah go on I’ll keep him here.” Snow getting on her hind legs said as Shadow jumped upward to a ledge and jumped to another. “Aww you’re going to stall me while he goes to fight Kadaj eh. Good, play time.” Nomak said getting on his hind legs and changing into his Lycan form covering himself in earth. Snow blinked as Nomak pulsed right in her face. Snow blocked a slash and a punch but the slash dug into her skin and Snow pulled back. Seeing this Nomak punched her in the stomach, not giving her time to cough from the attack backhander her. Recovering slightly Snow with an ice covered paw struck Nomak in the chin but the ice shattered. “What, is that all the strength you muster?” Nomak said before moving her paw and side kicking her. Snow flew back hitting the rocky wall. Meanwhile Shadow had made it to the top of the cliff. “What the heck?” Shadow said seeing a beam of light. Great let’s wrap this thing up. Shadow thought as he hovered into the beam taking him to the same place he was in but instead the ground was white and the rain was black. “Brother, we found it at last.” Kadaj said on a high cliff. “Wait how did you two get in here? You needed all three of our powers to open this portal?” Shadow asked. “Remember that scar you gave me in your Lycan from? Turns out that had just enough of your energy to open it.” Kadaj answered. “So, what happens now?” Shadow asked getting on his hind legs. “Oh don’t ask me dude, ask Raiko. I’m only here to kick your butt.” Kadaj said. Shadow chuckled. “What’s so funny?” Kadaj asked getting on his hind legs. “I figured that Raiko wouldn’t tell, but of course exiles wouldn’t really know the plan.” Shadow said.  “So what if we’ve been exiled.” Kadaj said the blue lightning in his paw turning purple. “As long as I get to kill you brother.” Kadaj said changing into his Lycan from Shadow doing the same. “I COULD’NT CARE LESS!” Kadaj shouted sending a large wave a blood red lighting at Shadow.  Outside of the portal at the entrance to the Fire clan’s territory Rose was back in her regular from bleeding heavily but not giving up. “Ugh come on how many of them are there?” Rose said dodging a blade and slashing a reaper behind her. At the same time two reapers slashed her and another kicked her. Rose landed on the ground in pain. “Darn it…I…I can’t protect anyone.” Rose said struggling to stand as ten reapers charged at her. Hang on Silver I’ll be with you soon my love.  Rose thought as waited for death the reapers blade piercing her heart. Suddenly it stopped. “Your giving up already? Come Rose, I thought you were stronger than that.” A voice said. Rose opened her pink eyes slowly. “No way, it can’t be?” Rose said.   Meanwhile Snow and Nomak were still fighting. Even in her Lycan form Snow could not find a way to harm Nomak with that earth shield on. “Come on now it’s now that hard is it.” Nomak said sending a large earth spike at her. Snow pulsed to avoid it but when she stopped Nomak was right in her face and punched her sending her to the ground. “You said you didn’t want to play last time we fought. Or is this really the limit to the ice clan?” Nomak taunted. Snow got on her hind legs again. “Remind me to thank my father would you? Even though my body is screaming in pain I can still move…LET”S GO!” Snow said running toward Nomak. Nomak bent low moving his paw in a come on motion. Snow slashed at him twice but he dodged both and grabbed her by the throat lifting her in the air with one paw. Snow struggled and clawed at his paw only to have Nomak toss to the ground. “Well I guess that is the limit.” Nomak said. Snow kneeled on the ground as Nomak walked to her. “After I beat you down were going to have some fun.” Nomak said raising his paw.  Just because one element is the opposite of another doesn’t mean it can’t work the other way around. Snow thought remembering Shadow’s words. Time slowed as Nomak’s paw came toward her. Snow sent her own paw at him. The paws crashed into each other, suddenly Nomak staggered backwards holding his paw which was frozen then melted and left him with mud. “What! What the fuzz is this? What did you do to my earth shield you little bastard?” Nomak said. “Well now it is true, just because water takes out fire doesn’t always mean it will work sometimes fire can be to strong. So if I can’t take your shield on the outside I’ll take it from the inside.” Snow said. Nomak growled understanding what she was explaining while shaking the mud off and recoating with earth. “Now that I understand what Shadow said this will be interesting.” Snow said charging. Nomak blocked a punch but at the same time Snow touched his side then punched it hard.  Nomak staggered back kneeling as blood came out of his mouth. “So what’s in that portal?” Snow asked. “Why would tell you that if I haven’t lost.” Nomak answered getting up slowly.  “Don’t delude yourself Nomak it’s over.” Snow said. “Heh I don’t think Rose told you, I don’t die so easy.” Nomak said recoating his side with earth. “Then I’m just going to have to play with you a bit more until you tell me.” Snow said. “Ha, ha, ha, what a relief I was worried you didn’t you like playing around, I so glad our paths crossed.” Nomak said. Snow growled lightly. Nomak gave her a smirk brown eyes glowing. Snow made an ice spike on her right arm. “So, ready for the Alpha?” Nomak started taking an attack stance. “Of the Omega!” Snow finished charging at him. Snow swung at him twice but he dodged jumping back. Nomak charged at her and slashed and kicked. Snow dodged both attacks spun and smacked him with her tail. Nomak staggered back slightly. Taking this chance Snow touched his chest freezing the inside of his shield. Nomak slashed at her but she spun to avoid it. Coming back around she drove her arm spike toward his chest, but Nomak did the same. The two wolves stood there their spike forced through each other. Suddenly Nomak pulled back and kneeled. “Man didn’t think the shield had a hole too it.” Nomak said looking up at her. “You’re pretty good.” Nomak said before bending back all the way. Snow went back to all fours and walked slowly toward the cliff. “Hang on Shadow I’m coming.” Snow said vision getting blurry before falling to the ground blood coming out of her wounds. I love you. Snow thought before closing her eyes.  In the portal Shadow felt something was wrong. “Don’t space out bro.” Kadaj said sending a bolt of lightning at him. Shadow pulsed away from it and onto a ledge. “Time to end this.” Kadaj said jumping back. Shadow pulsed where he was and struck him only to had Kadaj grab him slam him into and wall and shock him with lightning. “Come on, die.” Kadaj said seeing him flinch at little. “Come on.” Kadaj said increasing its power changing purple which caused Shadow groan. “COME ON!” Kadaj shouted increasing it even more changing it red which caused Shadow to cry out as his fur started burning. “Yeah there you go, now just DIE!” Kadaj shouted. Suddenly Shadow covered his body in flame and Kadaj jumped back. “So you wanna play like that huh?” Kadaj said doing the same thing except with lightning covering him. In the blink of an eye the two beowolf brothers were attacking each other with such force that shock waves were forming where they struck. Shadow shot multiple fire balls at Kadaj which a dodged with ease pulsed right in Shadow face and kicked him in the stomach sending him flying toward a wall.  Shadow put his legs toward the wall and sprung forward toward Kadaj. “Too obvious.” Kadaj said sending a bolt of lightning at him. Shadow pulsed behind him but Kadaj sent a bolt behind him too. Shadow then reappeared above him and came down with a swift kick. “That wasn’t.” Shadow smirked. “I’m done playing with you Shadow.” Kadaj said pulsing toward him from all directions and striking Shadow until he stopped Kadaj by stabbing him with a flame paw. “That won’t work!” Kadaj said pushing his paw aside about to finish him. Instantly Shadow closed his paw and Kadaj exploded into flames before falling to the ground. “Brother.” Kadaj said weakly changing back to his regular form. Shadow changed back also before seeing a beowolf necklace floating at the top of the cliff. He pulsed toward it to grab it but Raiko did also and they both ripped it in half and landed on the cliff. “Shadow, give that to me.” Raiko said holding his paw out. “Nah you got your half of it.” Shadow said putting it around his neck. “Well I want yours too.” Raiko said getting on his hind legs. “Tch and what are you going to do with all that power, no matter how hard you try you’ll never be like our ancestors.” Shadow said. “YOUR WASTING TIME!” Raiko said charging at him flame sword created. The two struck at each other at the same time and held each other blades flesh burning from them. “We are the sons of Takemaru, within the three of us flows his blood but more importantly his soul!” Shadow said as they both pushed each other back. “And now my soul is saying it wants to stop you!” Shadow said. Raiko laughed. “It’s too bad our souls are at odds Shadow, I told since we were born, I need more power.” Raiko said clenching his paw. “And were supposed too be brothers.” Shadow said taking a defense stance. “Brothers, right.” Raiko said doing the same. Instantly Shadow pulsed right were he was and struck Raiko in the face. Raiko unfazed grabbed Shadow by the throat, lifted him up and let go. Before Shadow’s rear paws could touch the ground Raiko punched him straight in the stomach. Time slowed as Shadow opened his mouth spit came out before he was sent flying almost off the cliff. “Tch I’m not even trying Shadow, come on now are you still that weak? Raiko said walking toward Shadow.  “Or was that talk about stopping me just a bluff?” Raiko said stopping. “No it wasn’t a bluff; I’m just not trying either.” Shadow said getting up and stretching his neck.  “So then let’s get serious.” Raiko said eyes turning black. “Yes let’s” Shadow said eyes turning gold. Shadow blinked and Raiko was behind him and struck but Shadow pulsed to the side of him and slashed. Raiko dodged and shot and a blast dark fire at him only to him Shadow pulse above him and slam him with his leg. Staggering Raiko shook it off only to have Shadow punch him and sending him sliding back. “Hmm so you did get stronger.” Raiko said. “Duh of course I did.” Shadow said pulsing toward him again. “But not strong enough.” Raiko said dodging all his attacks, grabbing his arm and striking it. Shadow cried out as Raiko increased the pressure breaking it. “Oh stop your winning Shadow I know dad put you through more than this!” Raiko said as he held onto his arm and started punching him in the stomach and the face. “Just give up now!” Raiko shouted upper cutting him into the air. As Shadow came down Raiko side kicked him. “Maybe I should take someone else who is close to your heart.” Raiko said. “Shut up.” Shadow whispered. “What was that?” Raiko asked. “I said shut up already.” Shadow said getting up and pulsing toward him. Shadow came at him from all sides striking as hard as he could but Raiko continued to dodge and block his attacks.  Suddenly Raiko struck him only to have his paw moved aside and have Shadow kick him in the face. As he landed Shadow popped his arm back into place. “Don’t let your guard down.” Raiko said appearing behind him. Shadow blocked as many strikes as he could before countering his attacks with at blast of fire. Raiko dodged it by pulsing but Shadow was right behind him. “What?” Raiko said before getting assaulted by an endless barrage of strikes with Shadow finishing with a fiery punch and while he was flying back side kicked him sending Raiko crashing to the ground. Blood came out under Raiko as Shadow knelt on the ground. It’s all over. Shadow thought getting up but before he could walk away he stopped. “So, dad did show how to clot beowolf powers.” A voice said. Shadow turned in horror to see Raiko get up off the ground. “But now its all over, your going down.” Raiko said changing into his Lycan form. Before Shadow’s heart could beat Raiko slammed him into the ground and impaled him with his paw.  “Get out here fool I know your not dead.” Raiko said seeing the fire clone of Shadow fade away. Shadow appeared at the far end of the cliff in his Lycan form breathing heavy. Ugh have to end this now; my strength is fading fast with these jumps to Lycan form. Shadow thought.   Suddenly the ground started to shake before stopping. “The portal back to the real world is closing Shadow.” Raiko said.  “Then let’s finish this Raiko. I have to stop you even if it means killing you in the process.” Shadow said. “So be it then.” Raiko said.  At the same time Shadow and Raiko made flame swords both had every ounce of their energy in it. Time slowed down as they charged at each other.  As soon as they were at foot away from each other they swung their swords slicing each other sides before sliding forward and stopping. They stood there for five minutes before Shadow coughed up a massive amount of blood and fell to the ground and changed back. “Wow that was very anti climatic.” Raiko said breathing heavy as changed back and walked toward Shadow.  “So it was a bluff eh bro.” Raiko said to Shadow’s body. Suddenly Raiko started laughing. “Finally after all this time their powers are mine at last.” Raiko said turning Shadow’s body over and grabbing the other half of the necklace. Instantly Shadow pushed forward and head butted Raiko hard sending him staggering back toward the end of the cliff. “I guess it wasn’t a bluff. But seriously Shadow you know no one else can have these necklaces Shadow, there ours belonging to sons of Takemaru.” Raiko said. Shadow ran toward him but Raiko held his claws at his throat. “Leave me if you don’t want to be trapped here besides this place was are ancestors home. Say hello to Axel for me when you get back okay, see you Shadow let’s meet again in the next life.” Raiko said before leaning back off the cliff. Shadow tried to grab him but Raiko sliced his paw and watched as he fell into darkness. Shadow walked slowly back to the portal and went in. As he came back to the real world he felt another presence with him. Shadow turned as he landed to see Kadaj. Shadow got back to one last defense stance as Kadaj charged at him but then rushed to catch him as he saw he wouldn’t make it. “Brother.” Kadaj said in pain. Kadaj?. A voice said. “Mother?!” Kadaj said looking into the sky. “Mother I’m so sorry.” Kadaj said with tears in his eyes. Son it’s alright we all have our weakness. Another voice said. “Father!” Shadow shouted. You did well my son your grandfather would be proud of you. Takemaru said. Kadaj you can come join us if you’d like. Asuka said. Kadaj lifted he paw up smiling as he was covered in electricity before fading away. “MOM, DAD WAIT!” Shadow shouted feeling they were about to leave. Never give up my son never give up. Takemaru said before he Asuka and Kadaj left. Shadow sat there on the cliff as the rain stopped. After a few minutes he walked off of it. He saw Snow’s bleeding body on the ground as he walked toward it. “Snow I” Shadow started but Snow moaned and looked up at him. “I’m sorry.” Shadow finished before falling to the ground. “Hey, hey Shadow! Come on get up don’t you die on me!” Snow said shaking him.  But it was too late. No, no no! Shadow stop fooling around I can’t have your pups if you’re dead. GET UP!” Snow said with tears flowing down her face. She embraced him and let out a loud sorrowful howl. I knew you should not have gone alone Shadow. Snow thought. Suddenly Snow felt as if Shadow was getting lighter and gasped as Shadow started to disappear. “No it can’t be. I WON”T LET HIM GO!” Snow shouted grabbing his face. “I…I love you.” Snow said holding him. Snow pulled back seeing something, Shadow was coming back and both their necklaces were glowing. “Snow, thank you.” Shadow said as he came back and landed on the ground.  “Shadow.” Snow said in awe. Shadow struggled to stand but Snow helped him. “So it’s over.” Snow said seeing the ancestral necklace. “Yeah we should be safe for now, but I know something else will come soon, very soon.” Shadow said. Snow looked at Shadow who mouthed Kadaj’s and Raiko’s names before a tear fell. “You’re crying Shadow?” Snow asked. “Ah it’s only the rain.” Shadow said. “The rain already stopped.” Snow said holding her paw. “Tch wolves never cry.” Shadow said in an almost cold tone. “I see, well maybe somewhere even wolves cry when they lose loved ones.” Snow said nuzzling him and pulling back. They both started deep into each other eyes before leaning closer to each other about to kiss. “HEY LOVEBIRDS HEADS UP!” A voice said. Shadow and Snow turned to see three reapers closing in before being demolished. “What the? Axel, Silver, Rose what are you guys doing here?” Shadow said. “Were here to interrupt the love you fool. Just kidding really finishing what’s left.” Axel said as the five of them stood back to back. “So feel like kicking some butt before taking a load off Shadow?” Snow asked. “Don’t mind at all this is what we live for.” Shadow said. Mom and Dad, Kadaj, and you too Raiko this is for you. Shadow thought getting ready. “Well guys, let’s rock!” Silver said as they group charged.

A day passed after the fight and the clan never looked healthier. The pups were training with the Elders, Silver and Rose, Axel was just chilling in the sun and Snow and Shadow were spending some well deserved quality time together in a field of grass. “Hey Shadow.” Snow asked. “Yeah what is it?”  Shadow said enjoying the soft breeze. “You still want pups right.” Snow said rolling on top of him. “Only if you want them too Snow.” Shadow said. “Of course.”  Snow said smiling before they kissed.                                           

Epilogue: A Stream of Water

In a forest not to far from the clan a creature was running through with a blood trail behind it. The dark fur and long bushy tail of the creature could only be recognized as a fox. Darn it these guys just had to be good shots. He thought as he ran. The fox stopped a stream to catch his breath, after resting a minute he looked around. Hope they gave up. He thought as he drank from the stream. As he brought his head up he saw something at the far right. Looking closely he saw a white vixen and they both stared at each other for a while not know if enemy or friend. The fox was about to speak but a dart hit the both of them then someone knocked them out. A guard in heavy armor called in a radio. “We found him sir but also a vixen should we take her too?” He asked. “Yes she’ll help also.” A voice said on the radio. “Understood alright take them away.” The guard said before the fox and vixen were dragged out into the unknown.
