Most of time you think of a wish it's of a life you do not have. The same for a wolf. They feel as we do,they see,and live on the earth as we do. So this story is one of a wolf wish instead of a human wish.

A young wolf pup looks over the sea. She can see land but has no idea of what it is like. She wishes she did and that she lived there instead of this boring land of hers. She wants a life of new things not just playing every day with her brothers and sisters but how in the world would she ever get over the sea to the other side? The little wolf I talk of is named Raslen. A litttle black wolf with a white face,belly,paws,and under tail. She has 4 brothers and 2 sisters. She lives with a mighty pack,well over 15. She is always doing one thing or another.

''Raslen''Calls her mom,''Come on it's bed time!''

''But mama please just for a little while longer. I'm not slee..(yawn)..py yet'' She said with a yawn.

''Raslen'' Her mother said with a stern look.

''o all right.'' She said giving in.

 She went into the den to join her siblings. All of the others were a sleep. How could they sleep she thought. She turned and turned until she fell a sleep dreaming of the stories her mother told her. She loved the ones of the so called ''Balto''. He was amazing and she longed to one day see him. She felt she never would for he lived on that distent land far over the sea. He lived in Nome a ice covered land. This is little Raslen's dream. To go to a new land and to see Balto. The hero of her dreams.

She woke early. The sky was pink and the sun rising slowly. The sea was less frozen this day. It was near the end of winter. Many caribo were down on the sea. This was strange they had nerver did this befor. Raslen ran to her mother and tried hard to a wake her sleeping mother. Finally she did.

''Raslen i'm sleepy I don't have your energy, you know that.'' She said in a lazy voice.

''Yes mama, but it's the caribo they are on the frozen sea. Please mama come and see!''

''Sweetie they can't be leaving the Great Aniu said they would never return to their real home land. You must have been dreaming.'' She said laying back down.

''No mama come and see!'' Raslen said in a high voice.

''Fine but be quite, just because you and I are up dose not mean that every one should be.'' Her mother told her.

''Yes mama, sorry mama.'' She said feeling a bit stupid.

They walked out to the sea. The caribo were leaving!

''My word! We must go and round up the pack and fallow the caribo! The caribo are what bring life to use and the ice will melt soon!'' Her mother shouted. (Meaning to get a move on it.)

As the pack was a wakened and brought to the ice the one thing in Raslen's head was (I'm really going to the far lands of Balto and Nome!). The only thing in her brothers and sisters heads was fear. Her brother Ice had just wet him self. All his siblings giggled and fallowed their mother onto the ice. It was cold and wet but there was no turning back now that they were on it. They would of fell tring to run back. The trip would be slow the pups had to walk or they would fall. The adults tried to carry them but they could not navigate with the fluffy fur balls in their mouthes and the pups fur in their nose and eyes. After about a day and a half they came to the shore of the land Alaska. Raslen was really going to see Balto and Nome! Strangest thing of all was her mother looked happier then she did.

If you don't Know it by now her mother is Aleu!

O and here are the names of her puppies Raslen,Ice,Dig,Avia,Oliver,Balta,and Jake.

Girls are Raslen,Avia,and Balta.

Boys are Ice,Dig,Oliver,and Jake.

I'm not sure yet but you may hear stories of Raslen's siblings and her later on.
