Part 1 Lost Memories
The rain thudded against his leather jacket, his hair was shaggy and wet. He started to walk briskly something was calling to him. Something familiar but what he didn’t know, his started to jog then as the calling grew stronger he started to run. His sneakers splashed through the puddles in the alleyway, he ran faster as the calling grew stronger. Elsewhere Hige turned around and felt the calling as well he stopped munching on his hotdog and thought “that’s rather odd,” Toboe stopped picking up a rather small wet kitten when he felt the calling. Tsume stopped his bike and got off and leaned against is saying softly “what the heck is this feeling.”
Kiba’s blue eyes were flashing in every direction as he felt himself getting closer to what was calling him. As he turned a corner the calling stopped he looked around then his eyes leveled to the ground. There growing was a white flower it had some pink infused with it, he walked up to it. A searing pain went through his head, he dropped to his knees and blacked out. Before his eyes he saw himself as a white wolf floating in downwards in water looking up at the moon. Then everything just stopped as the life fled his body, then the scene changed he saw faces of people he never knew and then he was staring at a blood red moon.
When he awoke there was a girl leaning over him her eyes were red like she had been crying a lot. She says “I knew you would find this one” He sat up and edged away from the girl he says “who are you” she says “you don’t remember this one” he shakes his head no. Then raises her arm and places her soft hands on his cheeks. He smells flowers on her then he then everything floods back to him. He remembers he is a wolf who was meant to open Paradise he met up in a city with other wolves named Hige, Toboe, Tsume. They journeyed together to Paradise and they were always hunted by a man that always smelled of alcohol, he had a dog with him the dog had piercing blue eyes.
When the vision stopped he looked at her saying “Cheza is it really you” she nods he collapses in her arms saying “I thought I lost you” He looks up into her eyes and she says “this one missed you” he nods saying “where are the others” she replies “they don’t know who they really are yet this one called them but they barely acknowledged it.” Kiba gets up and looks around saying “are we really in Paradise” she looks at him saying “yes” he says “but this cannot be Paradise” she says “it is Paradise just the beginning” he gives her his leather jacket saying “wait here I will get you some clothes” she nods and waits.
Kiba walks to a nearby clothing store and buys for some reason a pink pair of boots and a pink cloak along with a pair of blue jeans that have flowers on them. When he returns he finds Cheza with her arm outstretched with a dove sitting on it, Kiba looks on then hands her the clothes saying “here these should fit” she pulls on the boots and then wraps the cloak around her body then pulls on the pants looking at the flowers she says “this one thanks you” they walk out of the alleyway and into a busy street.
Part 2 Hige
He sat in a chair under a large tree in the local city park, he finished what was left of his hotdog. Then reached into the brown paper bag and pulls out a diet Pepsi which he takes a swig of it. His thoughts drift to when he felt a tugging on his very soul it seemed to meet someone. He looks around saying “what a lousy day I wish it would stop raining” he listens to the cars rushing through the puddles on the streets. He notices a couple of people who enter into the park. One of them is rather tall his hair is all shaggy and wet. His face is rather pale and he is wearing a leather jacket with the sleeves rolled up past his elbows. The other is a girl who has a pink hood pulled over her head she has a pair of blue jeans and pink boots.
The girl stops and lifts her head and looks right at him. She has red eyes like they were red from crying. The boy stops walking and looks in his direction, he says something to the girl and she nods. They approach where he has sat down. The girl says “this one is glad to have found you Hige” he looks at her saying “how do you know my name” she places her hand on his cheek. Hige remembers things that he doesn’t remember from his life. A girl with a red scarf around her neck, he journeying with this boy in front of him to a place called Paradise. A guy with a cross shaped scar on his chest biting his neck then everything stops.
The memories stop and he says “Cheza, Kiba is this even real” Kiba nods saying “it was the same for me Hige” Hige stands up and says “where is Tsume and Toboe and Blue” Cheza replies “they don’t know who they really are they don’t remember this one or you or Kiba” Hige says “what about Blue did she make it into Paradise” Cheza replies “this one does not know if she did. This one hopes so” Hige’s head droops and he thinks to himself “she said that she would continue to find a way into Paradise” Kiba wraps his arm around Hige saying “come on lets go look for the others” Hige nods. They walk out of the park and around the corner.
Part 3 Toboe
He clutches the wet kitten to his chest. He feels the tiny heart beat within it, he watches as a little girl walks by she looks from his face then to the kitten saying “oh what a cute kitty” Toboe looks at the girl saying “you can have it” the little girl looks into his face with her big brown eyes saying “really” he nods. Then the little girl turns to her father saying “daddy can I have this kitty this nice boys says I can” the father looks at Toboe saying “how much” he replies “for free I don’t want any money” the father says “thank you” his daughter picks up the cat and walks away with it. Toboe smiles as they disappear into a crowd of people then thinks back to the calling he had felt. The calling was so familiar he felt he should have known who was calling him but he didn’t. He gets up from his chair and joins the crowd of people when he gets to the opposite end of the street he takes off his pink hat and squeezes the rain water out of it then puts it back on his head.
When he looks behind him sees a boy in a leather jacket and a girl with a pink hood over her face. Behind them is a bit overweight boy munching on a doughnut. The girl looks up at him and smiles her red eyes flashing. She says “this one has finally found you” she puts her hand on his cheek his heart begins to slam against his rip cage. He remembers an old lady bring food to him, a person with a cross shaped cross on his chest. The two boys in front of him he remembers journeying to a place called Paradise. He remembers a old man shooting him through the chest his body becomes tired and his eyes close. The next thing he knows he is running through a field covered in flowers. When the memories stop flooding into his mind he says “guys is it really you” they nod and he says “where’s Tsume” Kiba replies “we haven’t found him or Blue yet” Hige sighs at the mention of Blues name. Cheza smiles saying “this one is glad to see you again Toboe” Toboe smiles and nods. He looks at Kiba and Hige they smile at him Kiba says “Tsume when we find him will be glad to see you after you….” he stops talking as the pain of Toboe’s lifeless body comes into his mind. Toboe realizes what he is talking about and says “I didn’t even feel it the pain just melted away and everything was still. So don’t be sad about it” Kiba smiles weakly and Hige says “well lets go find Tsume” Cheza nods. They walk down the street and disappear into the mob of people.
Part 4 Tsume
Tsume sat in front of a bar drinking a shot of Jack Daniels. He looks at his bike and doesn’t even think on the calling he had felt thinking it was all in his head. He drinks all of the Jack Daniels and then leaves the money on the table. He climbs on his bike and drives down the road, he stops his bike at a red light and listens to the rain pelt his helmet. In front of him passes a girl with a pink hood over her face. A boy neck to her with a pale face and a leather jacket. Behind him is a boy with brown hair and he is munching on a hotdog. A rather small boy with them catches Tsume’s eye. He feels he should know the boy but cannot think of where he has seen him before. The red light on the traffic light turns green he rums the engine of the motorcycle and flies down the road with the girl looking as he disappears from view.
Tsume drives his bike into a underground parking garage and dismounts the bike. He walks over to the elevator his footsteps echo in the silent garage. He climbs into the elevator and the door closes slowly, he presses a row of illuminated buttons and press the one with the number three on it. As the elevator rises music starts to play he listens to it and becomes annoyed saying “they need to play some better music like The Beetles or Led Zeppelin” the elevator stops and there is a ping then the doors slide open to reveal a hallway that smells of cigarettes. The paint looks originally like it was white but has now faded into a yellowish brown. The floors are carpeted in a red burgundy that has been worn out from years of trampling feet. He walks down the hallway and stops in front of a door with a brass number seven on it.
As he opens the door the room inside has a medium size bed tucked away in the corner. The bed sheets are rumbled and unmade. Next to it on a shelf is a stereo with CD’s laying all over it. There is a small kitchen with a stove and fridge. A TV that has been left on only shows static, Tsume removes his shoes and flops onto the bed and lays his face in the pillow. He turns and looks at the alarm clock next to his bed, red numbers show him it is 2:00 pm. He thinks “why can’t I forget that boys face.” Just then there is a knock at his door he says “who the heck is that” he gets up from the bed and walks over to the door. He pulls it open to find those people he saw on the streets are standing there the boy with the leather jacket asks “may we come in” Tsume nods saying “yeah whatever” they all walk into the room. The girl lifts her hood saying “this one has missed you Tsume” Tsume stands there and says “how do you know my name” she replies “I have know you for a long time” he smiles saying “yeah right your crazy” Cheza places her hand on his cheek and all of his memories come back to him.
A picture of the kid in front of him laying dead, the arms of some old guy wrapped around him. A wolf with one blue eye and a gold eye ripping into his side. Then his vision fades away, he sees a boy with a green hoodie falling looking up at him his eyes wide. The memories stop and he says “what the heck was that stuff” Cheza replies “your old memories” Tsume looks at them and says “you really expect me to believe that” Toboe says “Tsume don’t you recognize me” he looks at Toboe and says “yeah I do your that kid I saw walking with these nut jobs, I refuse do believe I know you people” Toboe starts to cry saying “but Tsume I…” he is cut off by Kiba saying “fine deny you know us but eventually you will come to accept it” then he says “lets go guys” they all walk out of the apartment and Tsume closes the door with a slam.
He goes into the kitchen and pulls out a bottle of soda and opens it. He walks and sits on the couch in front of the TV saying “that guy really makes me mad expecting me to know him” he laughs at the absurd notion. Later that night Tsume could not get any sleep because his dreams were filled with those peoples faces they were on there way to a place called Paradise. Even as the dreams became more and more real part of his mind refused to acknowledge what they had said. He wakes up the next morning covered in sweat, he thinks to himself “why can’t I stop thinking about those people and some place called Paradise” He swings his legs over the side of his bed and places his head into the palms of his hands. He looks at the wall in front of him and says quietly “I think those people were right even though I hate to admit it” he gets dressed and takes the elevator to the parking garage and mounts his bike. He pulls out of the garage and goes in search of Kiba and the others.
Part 5 Reunion
Kiba and the others had spent the night at Hige’s apartment that was located near the park he had met Kiba and Cheza again. Kiba had spent the entire night thinking about Tsume and what he had said. Toboe opens a sleepy eye and sees Kiba sitting at the table in the kitchen. He says “didn’t you get any sleep Kiba” he replies “no I was thinking about Tsume” Toboe says “oh” he wipes his eyes from the freshly appeared tears. He leans his head on his knees saying “I wish Tsume would have recognized me” Kiba replies “I am sure he did but meeting us for the first time must be difficult for him” Toboe nods. Hige stands in the doorway to his bedroom and says “you guys up already” they both nod. He looks from them to Cheza who is asleep on the couch. Hige starts breakfast and makes pancakes and toast, Toboe eats rapidly then gets up to lurk in the corner of the apartment upset about Tsume.
Later that day they go to the park and watch Toboe climb trees when all of a sudden a bike parks in front of the park. When the driver pulls off his helmet they see it is Tsume. Tsume walks into the park and sees them he heads over to them his hands in his pockets. He says “well I am here” Toboe looks down at him and then jumps onto him. They both fall to the ground Toboe says happily “I knew you would come Tsume” Tsume gets off of the ground saying “I just cannot ignore these memories anymore I believe what you guys say that I was a wolf and everything but this is going to take some getting used to” Kiba nods. Cheza says “this one is glad you came Tsume” Hige looks at them saying “so what now” Kiba replies “Cheza told me this is the beginning of Paradise so I want to see what had happened when we opened it again” Cheza replies “then we must go to the far north to find that” Tsume says “we I will go just to understand these memories more” Toboe says “I am going anywhere Tsume is going” Hige replies “I am going to” Kiba nods. They walk out of the park and to an unknown future.
