" Mommy! Look puppies!" said a little girl, who drag her mother to see a box full of puppies.
Balto watch as one of his baby girls was taken away to her new home. Balto remember the day when Saba announced that she wanted to be a sleddog.
Flashback...
" Alright pups it's time to go to bed" Jenna announced as the sun sets. " Ah, mom,! We're not sleepy yet " said Kodi as he yawn to be only usher to bed.
Before, Balto took a step out the door, Saba ran toward and jump on his back. " Guest what, daddy" Saba barked happily. " What?" Balto asked ethuastically. " I'm going to be a sleddog!" she announced happily. " That's great!" he said happily along with his daughter.
" No it's not" Jenna said angrily.
" Why mommy?" Saba asked sadly while drooping her little red ears and tail. " Because you could get hurt" Jenna defended. " No I won't mommy" Saba said determinedly.
Jenna gave an exasperate sigh, " You're stubborn just like your father" she said as she went to check on her other pups.
" You don't think I could be a sleddog too, daddy?" Saba asked sadly as turn her mournful light blue eyes to her father. Balto felt his heart break as he stare into his daughter's sad eyes, " Of course you will, Saba" he said
" Thanks daddy" Saba barked happily.
End of Flashback...
" Bye Saba!" the pups chorus .
6 months later...
Saba ran with all her might as she ran pass Kodi toward the nerby forest on the beach, " Oww!" hollered a voice as Saba fell headfirst toward the sand.
She shook the sand out of her fur pelt and stare into angry emerald green eyes.
" Sorry I didn't see you, I-" she was cut off abruptly by the brown dog she ran into. " Watch were you going!" he exclaimed angrily.
Saba felt her blood spike and her wolf side getting the better of her, " Hey! I said I was sorry! I didn't mean to run over you!" she growled angrily.
" Yeah, well you should watch were you're going next time" the brown dog hollered back.
Saba growled trying to control her temper, " Look! I said I was sorry ok?" she exclaimed. " I don't care you said sorry or not. You should watch were you're going" the brown dog argued.
" Why you-" Saba was once again cut off as her brother Kodi step in between her and the brown dog, " Hey, hey not it off" Kodi said .
" Why would I waste my time with her?" the brown dog said arrogantly as turn to the other direction and left the two young hybrids.
Another 6 months later...
The dogs barks and howls were ignored by Saba as she prepared herself for the upcoming race that's soon to come.
" Saba, are you sure you want to do this?' Scarlet asked worriedly since she knew how their mother going to feel.
" Yes! This is what I want, Scarlet" Saba said determinedly to her blazed sister.
She was train for over a year to be a sleddog by her girl's older brother, who wanted to be a musher.
" But Saba-" Scarlet was cut off by Jace, who was listening on thier coversation finally spoke up, " Let her do this Scarlet. This is what she's been waiting." he defended.
" Thanks Jace" Saba nuzzled her red face brother. '' No prob" he said as he nuzzles back.
The noise of dogs barking and howling intensified as they too prepared themselves for the race. Saba lowerded her lean body to the ground,
Bang...
The gunshot was just a ring as Saba launched herself to good running start. She bypass several dogs until she was neck to neck with a familiar brown dog.
She growled viciously at Ranger as he pass her to take the lead, but she push on her slim legs and and then she heard a roar of shouts from the bystanders who want to know the next sled team.
Saba pant heavily as she went to her howling siblings, " You did it!" Dingo exclaimed happily. " You made the team!" Alue barked happily.
Saba went to take a drink of water ignoring her siblings happy cheers. " Wow, I'm amaze you made it" said deep masculine voice.
She look up to see dark brown hybrid with creamy chest, socks that stop at the wrist , and muzzle that stop between his stunning emerald eyes. " Of course I could make it , Ranger" she said breathlessly still trying to catch her breath .
" Really, I just thought you were pretending to be a sleddog since females are not known to be sleddogs" Ranger said arrogantly.
" Uhg you're jerk" she said as she left the brown hybrid.
3 months later...
Jenna watch worriedly as Saba was hook up to her harness on the lead dog position and Ranger hook up to the other team's lead dog position.
" Don't worry, Jenna, she'll be fine" Balto reassured his mate.
The mushers went on the sled and the gunshot was heard along with their dogs barking and howling and their faint command ' Mush'
Saba sprang with full of energy and the scenery was a blur as she ran with great lupine speed of her ancestore.
Ranger panted as he ran on the mountain side, but a faint crack was heard from both sled teams, then the combine rocks gave and both teams fell to their death
