Jusper grown up into a big strong dog. Balto was proud of him. He was good looking male dog, so lots of bitches were interested in him. However, Jusper didn't seem interested in them, he felt just like he was a pup, he wanted to play with everyone. The problem was when some females came to him, he just invited them to play, and they were going away. He didn't understand them but he didn't care about them, he had his friends and sliblings who wanted to play with him. One day Balto and Jenna were very worried about their daughter, Tina, who was lost. Balto took Jusper with him to look for her. They were walking on the snowy riverside, and suddenly they slither and drop into the river. The problem was that the river was ending with a waterfall. They had nothing to help theselves to get out. They falled down from the waterfall. Jusper got out from the water ad started to look for Balto. There was a lot of snow and no marks after his father. He saw something moving, so he went there and that was his father, Balto, laying down hardly breathing. Jusper said to him:
"Don't worry dad, I'm gonna find help. Stay here, don't move"
"Don't worry Jusper, I will stay here, I'm not even thinking about moving, it's too hard...." Balto replied on Jusper's stupid commandment. Jusper went to White Mountain for help. He stopped on the begining of the street and started barking.
"Oh, what's now? Iron, go please, and check what's going on..." Anna said. Iron went to see and said:
"It's some dog barking on the street. Do you want me to shut him up?"
" Oh Iron, let me see" Susie barked and went to see the barking dog. She looked at him, and she remind herself her best friend. She looked at him again, because she couldn't believe that it's he. Jusper's barking was slowly stopping. He realized that here, opposite him, is standing the best friend, a friend who never went away from his mind. Finally Susie asked:
"J...J...Jusper?"
" Susie?"
The two dogs finally found themselves and ran in each other's direction. Both of them couldn't belive that they met again.
"I thought that I'm not gonna see you anymore...Oh, why did you leave? Why didn't you say anything?" Jusper said.
" Oh Jusper, I would if I could, I wanted even stay but...oh, it doesn't matter anymore because....you're here! Oh, I missed you soo much!!" Susie replied and hugged Jusper.
" Now tell me, how did you get here? Susie asked.
" I'm looking for help because my dad is hurt and unconscious" Jusper replied.
"Oh..wait, I'm gonna ask my dad if he can help you" Susie said and went home to ask him. Steele agreed and went with his daughter and Jusper for help. Balto was laying down hardly moving. He saw two black and white dogs standing before him and talking. Susie said:
"Oh, what happen to him, Jusper?"
"We fell over from the waterfall. Dad....dad...can you hear me?" Jusper said. Balto moved his head to show that he hears him. Steele said:
"Now, let me see if I can carry him" Steele didn't see that it was Balto. Jusper and Susie moved away. Steele couldn't believe his own eyes. His mouth was stuck for a moment. Jusper and Susie saw that something is wrong with him. Balto asked hardly:
"W...what are you waiting for...? Please....help me...."
He moved his head to see what's going on and he saw Steele.
"S..Steele?" he said "what are you doing here..?"
"Nothing! I'm going home" Steele replied and turn away.
" But dad, you suppose to help Jusper and his dad, what's wrong?" Susie asked.
" Oh really? He's a wolf, he's in his home finally! I'm not gonna help him, he supposedly can cope without help! Let's go Susie, we've got more importants things to do" Steele replied.
"What?! You mean that we have more important things than saving Jusper's dad life?! I'm not going anywhere!" Susie responded.
"What did you say?! We're GOING HOME!" Steele shouted.
"No! If you want to go, go! But I'm gonna help Jusper and his dad!" Susie replied. "Come on Jusper, we need to get your dad home"
Jusper looked at Steele surprised why he doesn't want to help his father. He turned to Susie and they both took his father home.

Next day when Balto felt better, Jusper came to his boat. He couldn't understand Steele's behavior. Balto was lying down covered with his warm blanket and drinking water.
" Uhm,  dad...dad  can I come in?"  Jusper said
" Yeah, sure, I'm feeling better now, how are you?" Balto  responded.
"  Me?  Fine, fine..." Jusper replied  thoughtful.
" Is there something wrong? You seem to be sad Jusper.  You know, you can tell me everything"  Balto said.
" Yes, I know, and that's why I came. See dad,  there is one thing what bothers me all the time and I cannot understand it" Jusper answered.
"Yes?".
"Do you know Susie's dad?" Jusper asked.
"Yyes, I know, and I know what bothers you. What bothers you is why Steele didn't help you to carry me all the way home" Balto responded.
"That's right!"
" It started long time ago when me and your mum first time met..."
Balto told Jusper the family's story, what Steele felt to Jenna, why he hates Balto. Jusper coudn't believe it. He couldn't also imagine his life without Susie. He was waiting whole his life to meet his mate again, and when he finally attain his objective, he enquires that he will not be accepted by her dad to this family and will always be an enemy. He didn't say a word to his dad lately, he just left.
After breakfast, Jusper went to see Susie. Susie was very happy to see Jusper. She licked him and they were on their way to go when Steele went out from the home, noticing that Susie's gone.
"Susie! Susie!!! Where are you?!" Steele called out.
"Oh no, it's my dad, come on quickly! Let's escape!" stressed Susie responded quietly.
"Susie, you're so scared. What's wrong? Are you afraid of your father? Jusper asked surprised.
" Jusper, please, not now, I'm gonna tell by the way, now please, come with me!" Susie begged.
Jusper went behind her, but still revert to see what is Steele doing. He'd never seen such an angry and vicious dog. He was sure that Susie was not allowed to go out with him, and that she got out in secret. Lately when they arrived to the save place where Steele could find them, Jusper asked again:
" Susie, are you afraid of him?"
"Of who?" Susie asked pretending she didn't know.
"Of your father" Jusper said looking at her curious.
Susie was showing that she's tired and need somthing to drink. She didn't want to tell him that it's true. She asked Jusper to bring her some water. Jusper took a bowl which was lying down near the bin, went to the gutter and collect some water for her. He brought it to her and looked at her in wonder. He knew that she is afraid of Steele and that she's trying to hide it. He said:
"I know, you're afraid of him, I know, Susie, you can't hide it. If you feel that you don't want talk about it, fine. But is it better for you to hide things like that? I'm your friend Susie"
"Yes, I want to talk about it Jusper, I don't wanna live like that forever, I wanna stay with you! I love you!" Susie cried.
Jusper was stuck. He was hearing only last bit of what she said in his mind I love you, I love you. He hugged and comforted her. He wanted the same what she wanted. To be with her, forever. He said:
" Don't cry Susie, we will be together and I will take care of that your dad will never ever touch you. You're gonna be under my protection. You will not return home. You are a grown up dog, you don't need daddy's protection anymore, you have me now"
"Oh Jusper! I'm so happy! But wait...my dad knows where you live, he's gonna come there, and he can hurt you! I don't want you to be hurt!" Susie cried.
"We will see, I'm not as weak as he might think" Jusper said with a smirk on his face. Susie was more relaxed now. She and Jusper had a lovely evening together.

After few weeks, there was a big competition going on in Nome. Loads of pedigree dogs were arriving. Rosie's parents were preparing Jusper to take a part in it. Anna also was going to join the competition. Steele came to look at his mate and also try to find his disobedient daughter in this rabble of different kinds of dogs. Susie was proud of her mate after preparing for the show he looked even more gorgeous. What bothered her was that some girls were paying close attention on him. They also thought he looks gorgeous. Jenna and Balto also couldn't wait till show will start, they knew Jusper is a great talented son of theirs.
Finally! The show started. The pedigree dogs were running aruond, showing themselves from their best side. All the other mixed dogs were standing around and watching the masters. On one side there was standing Balto with Jenna and all their family a part from some pups who joined packs of wolves. Susie was with them, happy and pleased. On the other side there was standing Steele looking at Anna, unhappy because she wasn't first. Iron could stand him so he also was standing with Balto's family, with the light of his life, Saba.
At the end of the show, people started sharing with the prices.
"There are seven places of each category" The man was saying. He was  listing all the categories and there was one of the best Border Collie. He was saying all the seven dogs' names. Suddenly Susie called out:
"Oh look! There's my mum!!Go mum! Yey! Go mum! Wait, and there's Jusper! Yey! Jusper!! My love! Go Jusper!"
Balto and Jenna were glad. Saba and Iron were laughing at Susie, because her reaction was foolish. Steele saw Susie jumping up and down from her happiness. He got angry and tried to go in her direction. Then the man said:
"These seven Border Collies are the winners of the 12th category of The Best Border Collie. Bravo!"
Border Collie? What? I'm not a Border Collie! There is a mistake! I am not a Border Collie Jusper thought.
" Hey, you, there's a mistake, they've put me in th Border  Collie section while I'm not a Border Collie" Jusper said to one of Border Collie girl who was also a winner.
"Oh yes you are, a handsome Border Collie" she said.
That can't be the truth! I am NOT a Border Collie! I am NOT a Border Collie!!!Jusper thought.
"What's your name, handsome? I'm Masie" said the Border Collie girl.
"Please, leave me alone, I have some problems now" nervous Jusper replied.
"Ok, ok, I just want to know your name, I like you" Masie said.
"Jusper" Jusper answered.
" Jusper, that's a lovely name" Masie responded.
"Excuse me" Jusper said and went to his parents.
"Border Collie, huh?" Jusper said angry and went away.
"Jusper!" Susie called out behind him.
Balto and Jenna recognized that he just discovered the truth. They followed him. Susie wanted as well but Balto to her not to. Jusper was very angry. Steele was near to go to Susie while he saw what is going on with Jusper and his foster parents. An idea came to his mind. He wanted to separate Jusper from his family by turning him into his side so he can be with Susie, but Balto and Jenna will not have him as a son anymore.
"Why did you lie to me?! How could you do that to me?!" Jusper shouted.
"Jusper" Balto tried to speak.
"All that time I was living with some strangers!! All that time I was growing up in lies!!!" angry Jusper continued " I have one question: When did you plan to tell me?!"
" Jusper, now you'll listen to us." Balto tried to speak again.
"I just want to know how long did you want to lie to me!" Jusper called out.
" Jusper! Now I'm talking! I am still your father!" Balto said.
"No, You're NOT!" Jusper shouted.
"Whatever you say, listen!" Balto called out. Jusper quietly looked at him surprised.
" Shortly after your siblings were born, I went for a walk. I found you in a pile of snow. You were similar age what our pups, a newborn pup. I took you to my boat, warmed you up, gave you some water, and took to Jenna. We adopted you, Jenna gave you something to eat. We took care of you as of the rest of the pups. We grew you up, we brought you up, and you are saying that we are not your parents? That's true that Jenna didn't gave birth to you, but is this important to you? Is it really important?" Balto explained.
Jusper didn't say a word, he just run away. Susie saw it and wanted to run behind him. But on her way  Steele stood up. She was scared. She was scared that he's going to take her away from Jusper.
"Susie, why are you looking at me like I'm your enemy?" Steele asked her.
"I, I, I" she was trying to say something.
"Come on, we're going home" Steele said.
"NO!!" Susie screamed.
"What did you say? Don't worry I will bring Jusper home" Steele explained.
What? Susie thought No he will not, he's just lying to take me home!
"No, you will not! You are just lying to make me go with you! I'm not going!!" Susie answered.
" No, I'm not lying, I will, I promise!" Steele said.
Susie didn't know what to do. She was afraid of that he's gonna beat her up. She agreed.
After Steele brought Anna and Susie home, he went to look for Jusper. He found him on the beach. He was crying. He loved his parents so much and suddenly they disappeared. He discovered he has no relation to them and that he has no family. He had only Susie. Steele came to him. He really wanted Jusper to turn away from Balto and Jenna. He sat next to Jusper and said:
"Hi, my daughter misses you"
"Hey, you suppose to take her away from me" Jusper replied.
"Who told you that? I like you and I want you to be a part of my family" Steele resopned.
"Oh, at least you want, I don't have a family now" Jusper replied.
"So come one, you'll like it" Steele invited him.
"Do you really want it? you didn't like my father..oh I forgot, he's not my father anymore" Jusper replied.
"You see now why I hate him? As he took your happines and family, he took also my love. These wolves are always like that, you can't trust them" Steele lied.
"Really.." Jusper replied showing he's not interested in what Steele's twaddles.
"Come on, Susie's waiting" Steele said and got up.
 Jusper was still sitting.
"Come on, she's waiting!" Steele repeated.
Jusper got up and went with Steele.

Some days later Susie saw that Jusper and her dad get on so well. She always wanted her dad to pay more attention to her and now her and her dad communicated better as well. On the other side, Balto and Jenna were missing Jusper and were very worried about him. From the day Jusper ran away from them, he'd never been to visit them.
One day Balto and Kodi's team went for longer trip for the post to White Mountain. When they arrived, Kodi had some troubles with his left front leg. He had a wound there which was making him feel dizzy. Jusper, Susie and Steele were just coming back from running. Jusper saw Kodi, his older brother and Balto having some problems. Balto saw Jusper and called him. Jusper didn't move. Susie said:
" Jusper, your dad is calling you"
"Don't move, don't react on what he's saying, remember what I've told you?" Steele whispered to Jusper.
"Jusper, what are you waiting for?" Susie asked.
Jusper moved in his dad's direction. Steele was angry at him for that.
"Jusper, how good to see you, please, help us, look what happen to Kodi, he can't run with this wound" Balto begged.
Jusper didn't say anything. Steele was reminding him quietly what he learned him. On the other hand, Susie was encouraging him to help his father. Jusper was confused. He was still angry at his father, and he saw that Susie's father isn't that bad. He remind himself all these days when he was little, and he couldn't run properly, Balto learned him, cheered him up every time he needed the comfortability. Balto was always near him. I took you to my boat, warmed you up, gave you some water, and took to Jenna. We adopted you, Jenna gave you something to eat. "Come on, we need to give my brother something, otherwise he can die" Jusper finally said.
"What?!?!?!" Steele asked surprised.
" I can't let my brother to die, and my dad asked me to help him, I can't leave them" Jusper answered.
"Jusper! How good to see you again son!!" Balto said happily.
"Dad" Jusper said and hugged his dearest daddy.
"If so, go away from my daughter!! Leave her alone!!" Steele shouted.
"Dad!" Susie called out.
"Susie! Go home, I will not allow him to be in my family!!" Steele shouted.
"Jusper!!Nooo" Susie screamed.
Jusper realized Steele's action. He saw that he doesn't care about his daughter, he just wants to destroy Balto and his family's happiness.
"Steele, leave Susie alone!She's with me now!" Jusper commanded.
"You will never see her again Jusper, she's not gonna be with you anymore, I will not allow it to happen!!!" Steele shouted.
Jusper attacked Steele and they started to fight. Susie ran to Balto's side and was protected by the rest of dogs from the team. Balto joined the fight and then Jusper and Balto were standing on top of Steele, Jusper was holding his paw on Steele's throat, so he couldn't move.
"Now, I'm taking Susie with me and I don't want to see you anywhere near us, understand?" Jusper  said.
"Li...sten..you...kid...I will n....not....lis..t..ten...to...ki..kid...s..." Steele hardly said.
"Oh, yes, you will! Guess who just won! Dad, can we go home?" Jusper replied.
"Yes, we can and as for Steele, Steele, we're not the same and we will not act even similar to you, so we let you go" Balto responded.
Jusper took his paw off Steele but he crumbled him enough so Steele could attack them again. Jusper, Balto and Susie turned away and left carrying Kodi with the team Steele's side full of anger, viciousness and rivalry, to live very different kind of life full of love, happiness and faithfulness
