Trust


Chapter: One

Once again in a life time someone might find out who he or she is. On the other hand he or she can’t. I find it out after I born…

My name is Rayne, for friends Ray or whatever they call me. I born somewhere in Alaska, for some reason I forget where.

Of course I don’t remember where I born. I was only a pup when I was separated from my mother and from my father. I only know how I become something…what everyone hates…

I’m black and white husky. Around my eyes are white markings. At the moment my age is 3 and half.

I felt bad from my life. I born in town that name I don’t remember. I loved to play with my siblings. I never got bored with them. Then came the time…the family where I lived started to sell my brothers and sisters away. I felt bad because of that.

Soon one strong looking man grabbed from me. I almost yelped in pain because he picked me up pretty rudely. After all he was the nicest man what I have ever seen. He patted my head and held me against his chest while he gave some money to my parents owners.

 I smiled and bite playfully his open jacket. He only chuckled and held me on his hands laughing.

He took me on his own house. Inside his house was one pretty fat woman. She patted my head also when man placed me on kitchen table. I started to wag my tail and pant after I started to jump up and down on the kitchen table.

Also inside the house were several boxes. I finally get that their going to move away from the town where I now live. I remember only two large bunkers inside the town. Also there were two large factories inside the town.

After few days they moved away. I was with them inside a small basket.

Was there three or two days when I get into new town? I didn’t remember so well but I enjoyed the travel.

Now I was in a new place. This towns name was Nenana. I smiled because I have learned to read during my life. I sniffed my new homes yard completely when I first got there. I was happy on my life…

But then…my master’s wife suddenly was taken into hospital. I whined because master only told me to stay home. I stayed and went to sleep but I was worried from the woman’s life.

Anything too bad didn’t happen…but when they got back after few days. They were having something with them. They called it “baby”.

Few days went pass and soon I realised that I didn’t get any attention. It felt bad because I was only a pup during those times. I wanted to play with my master like I have done everyday, but no. This baby was more important than I.

Soon I heard talking from kitchen. I didn’t mind to go and listen from it, but I went to listen it.

They talked from me. My ears perked when I heard my name “Rayne”. I wished I could do something about it…I couldn’t I only listened them.

Master was talking something like moving again back to the place where I lived before, also something else what he whispered to his wife. I remember these words “…I’ll whisper it to you…so that Rayne can’t hear it…”

I didn’t understand what will happen to me.

During the days I noticed that my food was nearly end. Also they were moving again.

I enjoyed travelling so I prepared with my own way. They made everything up for me like they did before we moved in this town. I barked playfully, but the baby started to cry when I did so. I got scolded.

Soon the day came. I was exactly 8 weeks old on that time. I was adopted when I was 7 weeks old.

They loaded the truck and then they started to move. I was with them smiling, but after a while truck stopped. I noticed few tears from my master’s wife’s cheek.

They picked up the basket where I was and jumped out from the truck. I didn’t realise what they were doing.

Master patted my head and rose his finger to command me. “Rayne…stay” he said then jumped back into the truck and then they left me. Of course I stayed there.

Winter wasn’t even near so I wasn’t shivering from the cold. The basket was located outskirt of the town.

I felt hunger inside me, but I still sit on the basket, but nothing, none did come.

Hunger forced me to move to find something to eat, but what I could eat?

I padded on restaurant where I went. I sat on porch begging one man’s food. Man took look on me and grabbed his water glass. He then threw water on me and shouted something. I only took off running all wet.

I stopped running when I found out that I was all alone again.

Only thing I did was that I lain down on my basket and waited.

On morning I finally realised that my owner’s won’t come back. I cried few hours on the basket.

Suddenly I felt nudge on my back and I turned my head to see who done it. He was young husky. His face was still childish looking and he was wearing some kind of suit.

He opened his mouth to talk to me. “Hey there…what you’re doing all alone in here?” he asked from me. I sniffed for answer and dog nodded his head and gently picked me up.

He took me on forest and on there I saw other same kind of dogs like he was. Each of them were dirty and they were wearing green coloured cloth around their whole body.

They talked a while asking questions from me where I did answer well. I told my age and how I have get into this sort of situation. They nodded their heads and asked from me “Do you want to get new and good home?” and I answered “Yes I do want to get into new home…”

I never knew where they took me, but I only heard one word…’The Alpha Den’

Later I found out that I was in a training facility. Their where going to teach me how to fight, run, tactics and other things. I was really exited from the situation.

Soon I faced that it wasn’t so fun after all. It was tough training. For few weeks we only ran. Me and my new friends what they call “Team-mates”

I ran and ran everyday starting from 0600 to late on night. I learned soon that it meant 06:00 am.

I get scolded with others but I soon also learned that those scolds are meant to make us tough dogs.

Year went. I was now full grown, but still a pup. Now they threw to us cloths what they call “Uniforms” also I found out that I was in Military Special Dog Force’s training facility.

They forced us to fight against each others to separate the bad dogs from good ones.

That was tough job. I beat few dogs but also get beat too. I was chose on the good side where I was proud.

The uniform was heavy weight 20kilos and I didn’t like from that weight. It wasn’t bad uniform after all. It was suiting me pretty well. It didn’t bother while I ran or fought.

It protected me from my body, expect from my throat, neck, legs, belly were open for attacks. I soon learned to protect those parts well with the others.

I was fast, one of the fastest dogs in my team.

After 3 years I was now free from the training, I’m now adult, but still called “Green horn” due lack of experience.

I was transformed into dog division for an attack. The year was 1928 winter after half year.

Well I got into Scout team and I hanged with 12 dogs. We patrolled and done everything what was fun.

Finally we went inside mountain range. We patrolled long distances.

My strong leader leaded us on forest.

There I feared the worst. Gunshot suddenly cut the silence. On my face spat something warm and it tasted bad. I opened my eyes seeing my leader leaning forwards. He then fell on ground head open.

Rest of the dogs started to panic and ran on directions to follow someone or just in headless run.

I snorted and ran with them also, but then I felt pain on my shoulder. Bullet cut deep wound on it.

I fell on ground whimpering my wound. I whimpered more when I was abandoned on the wild.

I was now limping inside the forest. My shoulder was bleeding under my uniform where was hole.
I kept limping when I finally fell on ground near death.

Last things I heard were barking on distance. I couldn’t see what was coming. I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

I woke up inside a large room. There was every kind of things lying on table and on book shells. I blinked my eyes to clear the vision. It was morning. Or at least sun was rising on horizon.

I noticed bandage around my wound on my shoulder. Uniform was hanging lazily on chair.

I shake my head to get back in real world. My head was like a drum. It felt bad but soon it went over.

He smiled a bit seeing the room where I was at the moment. “Good place…” I said quietly smiling. I saw two flies playing Dive bombers near sugar piece on table.

Even it was winter there might still be some fly’s inside houses.

I never actually did know what happened to me, but I hoped that everything was alright. My M.S.D.F collar was still around my neck. It made me smile a bit.

Never did know where I where and what will happen to me…

Chapter: Two
Time: Morning Day unknown
Location: Unknown for now


I was still lying on my basket where I have been placed while I was in “Dream land” what we call it. For English “unconscious”.

Man I hated that place already. Was it because of fear? Or was it from something else? I really didn’t know why I was held in there. I just hoped that I could get on my feet’s soon so that I can plan how to runaway.

I got up with shivering legs at once almost losing my balance. As soon as I was on my feet’s I smiled to myself. Flies were still playing dive bombers near the sugar piece. One of them flew and hit on window trying to get out on cold air.

As soon as the fly hit on the window it flew back to the sugar piece. It’s friend was already trying to eat the sugar when it’s friend arrived. Soon they started to fight over a sugar piece.

I smiled for the boring view what at least beat sleeping. My eyes scanned whole room and I thought that it is working room. Because of the messy desk and from diploma what was on wall next to door what was definitely way to escape.

I heard steps behind it and then key touching the lock inside the door’s lock. Soon door opened and white coated man walked in. His coat was bit dirty. Rests of his cloths were clean.

I wondered what he might do for me if I’ll try to runaway from the open door.

Soon I got up stretching myself when another human walked in. This time it was women. She placed two bowls near the basket what I have occupied for myself. Of course I knew that they can throw me out from their house when ever they want that.

On the first bowl was food, it was some kind of mess of food what wasn’t sold in Restaurant or something like that. I sniffed it feeling how my hunger.

I learned in army that always eat as much as you can because if you don’t do so…you might suffer from hunger while others aren’t, and it feels bad. I started to eat it tasting the juicy meat, potato and some other delicious parts in there, especial when it was on one bowl…

They watched me as I ate everything what they gave to me. After that meal they gave me some bread and dry meat not knowing that normal dog doesn’t eat that much what I eat. All is basic stuff from the army. After I was full…I lain down whimpering my shoulder then cleaning my paws with my tongue.

I then turned my eyes to see water bowl what women gave to me also. I drank water lapping it softly on my mouth. I then rested my head on my paws when those two left me all alone inside the room with the flies. I heard when door closed and my ears perked and listened sharply.

”They didn’t lock the door!” I said almost shouting way and got up limping up to the door and pushed it gently open. But it didn’t open.

I opened the door fast same way as humans do, but I did it with my mouth. Smirk appeared on my face when I walked to see doctor talking with a man on first floor.

I stopped when the man was waving his hands to describe the situation. I giggled a bit for it.

”…we need one dog...I don’t have any for use…I badly need one!” man shouted. He was wearing large jacked. He was ready for a cold trip, I noticed that.

”I’m sorry I don’t have any dogs…you have mine already running with you…ain’t she enough?” Doctor asked and cleaned his glasses while man shakes his head.

”No I need one dog more…there is nobody to use at the moment…you know I can’t make the team wait…we’re leaving schedule all the time!” man shouted and sat down on small chair near the front door.

”I’m sorry Mr…but I don’t have any dogs…expect…I do have one…male…strong he at least is but there is one but…” Doctor said but before he could continue man got up smiling and patted the doctor’s shoulder. “Get him on here! I take him for use as long as I can get new member for replacement!” he shouted and grabbed leash from his pocket.

Doctor shakes his head and heard when I walked down from the stairs. He turned to see me and he pointed then me. “This is the dog…take him if you want” Doctor said and cleaned his hands on his shirt and smiled a bit when man at once leashed me up.

”Ok boy time to go for a run” he said to me and checked my body. “Man he is strong…” man said while we walked outside from the house.

Cold air welcomed me with cold wind. I shivered a bit when I followed the man.

I saw sled farer in front of post office. There was dog who seem to be dark gold. Behind him was darker red white husky. Next to him was big husky. I grinned from my first thought. Being fat in army was an insult. Then came female husky on view. I didn’t give attention for her.

I padded in leash towards the team. Finally I realised what was waiting for me. One place on the sled team was empty.

”Oh god please, no” I said under my lips. Dogs finally noticed me, they stared me a while. One of them smiled.

”Finally we got one dog so we can run!” darker red shouted and jumped a bit, other ones only smiled. I tried to hide my M.S.D.F collar what causes a lot of troubles for me.

”Hey what’s your name?” one dog asked from me when I was pulled near the dogs. I still hide my Tag on my collar wishing for best.

”Well…umm…Rayne” I said quietly while I was hook on sled. I felt leather against my fur and I sworn that it made me feel bad…

”My name is Kirby…I’m the leader of this sled” dark gold husky said in smile. I shivered in disgusting way. He? A leader? he didn’t seem to seen the real leaders who have died for their country this one is only something else.

I felt others bit giggling to my embarrassment. “My name is Kodi” second dog said in smile. “For short…” he added. “My name is Dusty and nice to meet you Rayne” female said.

I felt even worst when one of the dogs got curious from my collar what I was hiding holding paw in front of it like I was saluting.

”What your hiding?” one of the dogs asked when I held my sides. “Oh nothing just shoulder…bit hurt…so this way…it doesn’t hurt so much” I said and placed my paw on ground. For my luck silver plate was shining weakly but enough much that it hide the texture on it.

”Oh…” I heard when Kirby said. He was thinking something his eyes glancing a while my collar.

Musher was loading the sled. I felt weak from my legs; I have never pulled a sled before in my life. Even Army didn’t practise us with it. I wondered why…


”Are you alright?” I heard female voice behind me. I turned to see right wheel dog or what ever was behind me…she was the last dog for me. Her fur was black and white.

”Yeah…I’m fine” I replied on her question quietly showing that I didn’t want to be bothered. I felt when my heart beat faster. Now I’m in trouble…I thought inside my head and felt that my legs wanted to give up. On that moment I accidentally turned my head and chest so that sun didn’t effect on collar’s plate.

For me I didn’t notice it but I heard gasps with my right ear.

I felt cold glances on me when sled dogs whispered a while with each others. At once I left that I was left out. Each sled dog whispered to each others.

I didn’t hear any of their whispers but I thought that it won’t mean good for me.

”What?” I asked glancing each of them a while. I saw their friendly look was gone. It made my whole body shiver from small fear.

”Nothing” Kodi said, he then turned away from facing me. Others did same. I felt bad.

Soon musher shouted something and Kirby pulled almost me with the sled. I didn’t have any idea from the sled commands…only from Military. I was outsider of the sled team.

I whimpered from the speed almost stumbling on my feet’s. I growled from the speed the dogs took I have no experience from being a sled dog how in earth I can stay up with them?

I thought inside my head while I kept the speed with the dogs. It was kind of easy but the sled made it hard to pull.

”Can’t you hold up with us Mutt?” one left wheel dog asked and bit my tail. I growled for warning. “Can’t you then?” I asked in growl, but it disappeared fast because I knew that I was on thin ice.

”Hah! You’ll give up soon! I’m sure of it” Dog said in smirk. Others in the sled team laughed. “He ain’t worth it” Dusty said in giggle while she kept running. “He surely doesn’t know even what means mush” she added. Everyone started to laugh again for me…

It was so obvious that I will face this sort of things when they know what I am…

After a while the team was returning to Nome. We have only run something 4 hours. It felt like hell for me.

I was a bit tiered for the running like everyone else. But they weren’t trained as well as I was. Being a soldier I was having good stamina so I didn’t give up easily.

Suddenly I felt ice under my legs. I started to run empty and then I fell on ground making whole sled unstable.

I heard when one called me “idiot” and I felt when I hit on snow and dog who was running next to me hit on me. I felt pain when Dusty hit on me and heard yelp also from her.

Soon the sled hit on snow and everything was quiet a while. I got up and get stuck on the sled harness. I saw others getting up also. Kirby checked everyone and when he arrived near Dusty he shocked. “Dusty are you alright?” he asked nudging her leg what she held up.

I turned lazily to see what has happen to her. I knew that she hit on me badly.

”Urg…my leg…is hurt...” she whimpered softly when Kodi ran up to her and lowered his head to see her paw. “I’m ok really!” she said when she rolled on her belly and tried to get up. She yelped and fell back on ground. Kodi and one of the sled dogs I knew as Ralph turned towards me.
”Look what you did for her you clumsy idiot”  Kodi said growling lightly.

I backed up a bit. “What you mean?” I asked bit confused.

He didn’t answer. Rest of the dogs helped Dusty on her feet’s. Musher ran up to her and checks her leg. “Poor girl…” Musher said and grabbed Dusty on his hands. He carried her on sled and let her rest on there.

He hooked the dogs on line. Each of the dogs growled to me. None was hiding their anger.

”Hey listen…it’s only an accident!” I shouted not trying to catch up a fight where I could die easily taking only one or two with me…

I felt growl still killing my soul while the rest of the trip. None did answer on my words.

----

Soon we arrived back into the town. They first stopped in front of Vet’s place. For that place I slipped out from my harness and ran off in fear that musher will put me down.

I disappeared behind corner seeing when Musher disappeared with Dusty inside the vet’s place. Kodi followed with Kirby and with Ralph. Female whose name I didn’t get ran with remaining dogs on building what I have no idea what it could be.

I whimpered the wound on my shoulder. When I fall I have hurt it badly once again.

I sat down feeling that I’m now ignored. I then started to walk towards the building where others went. I arrived near the door feeling warm air coming out from there. It made me smile so much that I just pushed the door open feeling warm wave hitting on me when I walked inside the building.

I heard gasping when I walked in. Black and white female was there smirking to me. Soon one dog jumped on ground and growled to me.

”So… more soldiers here to take this town down again huh? ANSWER!”  Dog shouted to me. I growled for self-defence and took step back.

”What? What I have done?!” I shouted trying to get answer from others who were now growling to me because I showed some threat.

”You tried to hurt Dusty!” Female said in growl. “And you did hurt her…” Second dog said

”For god shake! It was only an accident!” I shouted to protect myself. I didn’t want to reveal my secret that I haven’t run before in my life.

I felt one jaw pair sunk on my neck. Second pair sunk on his chest when four dogs attacked against me. Each of their bite hurt like hell and I felt their force.

They threw me against boiler. I felt my skin burning on part what hit on hot metal. I smelled burning hairs smell what isn’t good I separated from the boiler before I got burn too badly.

I got up shivering legs. “Enough fun to hurt me like this?” I asked in painful grin. I felt when my body started to drop towards ground where I finally fell.

I couldn’t get up so easily. Only again I felt jaws on my neck and second pair grabbing from my back. I soon rise few inches from the ground and I was thrown out from the boiler room.

I felt cold snow against my fur when I hit on it. My back was burning and I rolled on my back to make it feel a bit better.

I heard laughing from the boiler room when I finally got up. My ears drop down and my tail did same also. I started to limp sadly away near the boiler room. It was too cold for me. I couldn’t stay outside too long.

If I don’t want to froze to death, I disappeared behind corner where I cuddled up against barrel what was lying on it’s side. Inside it I get old pillow and ripped blanket.

I knew that it wasn’t enough for Cold Alaska’s nights…

Chapter: 3
Location: Nome, Alaska
Time: Night time unknown, 1928


I whimpered inside the barrel. Cold air was annoying. I couldn’t sleep at all.

Soon I realised that one dog can’t run, and the second might be back and I took the run perfectly for a green horn.

I wished I could avoid that, but inside my head I knew that it was useless thing. There was no way I could avoid the sled run what is tomorrow.

My legs started to freeze and I didn’t feel them anymore.

”Why? What I have done to them?” I asked letting one tear run down on my cheek. I felt it dropping on my paw where it froze.

I got up and walked out from the barrel shivering in cold air. Even I’m a husky, nights in Alaska aren’t so warm that you could just like that sleep outside. I bet that wolves are also shivering inside their dens.

I padded quietly on snowy streets feeling when my legs started to feel again. I smiled warmly seeing still lights on houses.

I stopped near one house eyeing inside it. There was man patting a dog. I even knew who the dog was. He was Ralph.

I continued my walked down on the streets feeling again the weird stare on my back. I turned to see not seeing anyone in there. I wished I could stop and be with my friends again…they were dead and I’m lost on Alaska.

My body felt heavier than usual because I’m badly tiered. I suddenly saw the boiler room again. This time I didn’t bother to go in there and got burn badly again so I walked behind Hospital. I sniffed around and noticed that none was close me.

Soon I found out door what was waving warm air inside the room behind the door. I growled and checked the whole doors construction and for my luck it was kind of weak one.

I slapped the door and it opened for my luck. Someone has forgotten to lock it, I didn’t care, I only ran inside the room and found out nice small blanket and one dirty pillow for the night.

My stomach growled in hunger but I ignored it laying down near boiler what kept hospital warm.

When I finally succeed to settle down I heard voices coming towards the boiler room. I couldn’t recognize the voice but it soon disappeared in a word “bye”

I after that I heard when door suddenly opened.

I turned my head fast and my eyes find in front of the door same black and white female who was arrogant towards me on the sled run. She let at once a growl towards me.

Because I was hungry and tiered I let out same kind of growl towards her. Her ears flatten down while I growled to her but she kept growling to me also.

”What…are YOU doing in here?” she asked in a growl and walked inside the room. Her fur shined a bit on the light what came from the boiler.

I got up and faced her with growl. “None of your business” I snapped to her.

She let out growl again and then turned walking away leaving me all alone inside the room. I sighed and closed the door with my paw knowing that if she gets more friends to back her up she will definitely throw me out from this warm and nice room…

I didn’t mind when I rested my head back on pillow what I have now took for my own. I smiled when I felt warm waves against my black white fur. I eventually fell asleep on that place.

I woke up in silence. It was early like I usual wake up, even I know that I could sleep too long to skip the boring sled run. I wished that Musher was having new dog on their team so they don’t need me.

I missed a bit my uniform what might still hang on the room where doctor took me.

I got up and stretched myself then padding outside now wanting to eat something good remembering the good tasting meat pieces on my bags. Sadly those pieces are on my uniform bags what mean that I can’t get them today so easily.

I heard barking and sighed. “Oh no…the sled race is today…and I do-“ I was interrupted by a strong hand that grabbed from my collar. I almost yelped in surprise when I was pulled on the sled team. They hook me up on it, at once I felt cold eyes staring me.

”Errh…Good morning” I said quietly to Kirby who snorted for answer. Kodi was growling. “Dusty can’t run today because of you…she hurt her paw…that mean that we have to stay with you so long that we can get new member” he said kind of rudely to me.

I swallowed “O.K guys listen me…it was only an accident…I hav-“ I was interrupted again. “Don’t try to lie to us Rayne…we know what you are and might know what your doing even in here!” Kodi shouted to me. I felt long deep cut inside my heart.

”I’m serious! It was just an accident!” I tried to explain knowing that I was digging my grave…this time not on front like usual.

”Yeah right…soldier” I heard sigh behind me. When I turned I saw the black and white female standing on there. She was looking me annoyed way.

”Now…You stay quiet unless we need to say something to you! Understood?” Kirby suddenly said to me and forced me to turn towards him.

I nodded my head not even listening what he told to me. I felt that I was now going to pay my presence down here.

Cargo was loaded again. I felt leather harness around me and I can swear that uniform feels a lot better than that. Even my heart was ripped in pieces and my emotion was low I still showed my tough side.

Musher was ready once again. I could only wait the order to pull the sled, what ever it was even. I wished that I could at least be with my kind…with dogs who have been trained for a meat mill where I did belong.

”MUSH!” Musher shouted and I started to run with the others soon disappearing out from the town. With fast glance I saw old boat wreck and there was standing lone figure. I smirked but kept running.

My mind sunk on my thoughts. While I was on training I heard that my first masters home town…the town where I born was now only place of death…I have heard a story from it from a dog who was on there…and I can say it was hard…my mind only started to think that town…

Location: Antoria Factory Town
Time: Unknown. Spring in 1928

Town named Antoria was burning badly from the artillery fire what was hard.

Every dog and man was on arms in there. Soldier’s rise their guns and shot towards the line where the fearless enemy was hiding.

The fight was over Central Plaza near second Bunker.

Young dog was whimpering inside a ditch what was made by grenade. He was young and just passed the training. He finally got up and looked the ground above him. Bullet at once almost cut his head in two pieces. He yelled and hides again inside the ditch.

He finally got up and jumped back on his own lines. He whimpered in pain when bullet scratched his back a bit. He hit on ground staring old looking dog who was Sgt from his rank. “Everything is out of control Jetz!” he whimpered feeling the fear claming inside him

”Don’t worry kid…we’re here to die for our land what is called also USA!” One really sarcastic dog mumbled from corner of collapsed building. The young dog whimpered and then looked on the distance seeing when again bullet almost cut his head. “SNIPER!” he yelled and jumped on ground.

One female husky’s ears perked up. “What someone wants?” she asked in a light laugh. Young dog was embarrassed. He was one of the brothers of Rayne. He became MIA in Antoria. He was trained fast and was only younger on field.

He got up and joined in rush what USA made towards SSWD line. On that moment he got hit by a bullet which one SS soldier shot.

He whimpered in pain hearing tracks rolling behind him. He turned his head to see US Water Tank rolling towards him. He closed his eyes when he felt his tail crushing first under the tank. “Someone help me PLEASE!” he shouted but rest of his voice end in watery yell when tank drove over him leaving only behind bloody flesh pile what was hard to recognize…

*Back in Rayne’s view*

I wanted to smile but I couldn’t. While I ran I felt pain on my paws, we were going back towards Nome. Once again I almost fell on ground because of the ice, this time I didn’t.

I felt snow crunching under my legs while I ran. “OK boys were going to soon rest!” Kodi shouted and laughed while he ran.

I felt cold look on my back all the time. “Finally” I said smiling. “No one didn’t ask anything from you mutt” Ralph snapped while I said something.

I growled a while but felt also their growl.

Once we arrived in Nome Musher unhooked me. I at once tried to runaway, but musher grabbed from my collar and pulled me back. “Not going anywhere boy…relax” he said. I only swallowed deep.

”Oh no…don’t take him inside!” Kirby said staring me like I was something really annoying; well I was that for them anyway.

”What, I have done to you?!” I asked again trying to get something out. No one didn’t answer to me.

”Shut up mutt!” One of the sled dogs ordered and growled to me. Musher walked inside the cabin leaving dogs to stay outside a while.

Suddenly one of the sled dog’s attacked against me trying to reach my throat. He was idiot because he didn’t know that I protect my throat like hell. I felt his body slamming into mine and we both fell on ground rolling on there fighting.

”Get off!” I shouted and kicked him off from my body. He hit on ground growling and then he just attacked against me again. My only chance was to fight but then others joined in.

I felt their fangs rip my back and my neck also my sides. Sharp pain covered my body when I succeed to flee from their grip. I jumped out from there and ran away. I glanced behind me if someone was following. I only saw musher running to check the dogs and then his eyes on my back. I didn’t care… I ran again inside the barrel where I have been settled down once.

I lay down there whimpering my pain covered body. “They did it…why? What I have done to them?” I asked from myself almost crying.

I started to clean my paws and my body wounds. I knew my pain and have get use on it.

I still couldn’t understand why they did it. While I cleaned my wounds I heard steps. They were human’s steps.

I saw the Musher holding a cloth on his hand. He walked up to me slowly and pressed it against my wounds. I smiled when I let him do so.

He suddenly grabbed from my body and held me tight. “OK boy…take it easy…” he said and put a bag atop of my face so I couldn’t see or bite him. I tried but it was useless. Fighting against, he carried me on somewhere. I only heard laughing from side. “Good bye Soldier…your last trip…bye bye!”

He carried me still. I heard door banging behind me. It made me swallow deeply.

I felt my body now being lain down on a table, and then I heard talking. “So…what he did? Need just wound cleaning or…?”

First voice asked. “No…He attacked rudely against my dogs…they defended their selves…but I bring him for other thing…you know what…” Musher’s voice spoke up.

I heard some other words and then I suddenly succeed to take the bag away from my face. I saw man holding a needle on his hand. “NO!” I shouted and then got up from the grip of the musher. I kicked him on his stomach with my hind leg and suddenly jumped through window.

I felt more flesh wounds on my body when sharp glass ripped my body. I finally hit on ground and rolled on there to my feet’s. I then ran on the town disappearing from others view.

For my luck no one didn’t follow me.

I laid down on hospital’s boiler room now understanding that I’m not so welcome after all. I whined.

*Cut Down From Street Time Night, Nome*

Quiet dog was walking on streets. He growled once a while staring the windows. He stopped growling. Atop of him was mottled brown uniform.

He didn’t make sounds at all, soon he left his uniform and collar on hide and then padded down the streets searching something.

He saw boiler room and smiled on the view of it, and padded inside it. Dogs were just talking from Rayne at the moment in there.

”You think his dead?” Kirby asked from Dusty who has get out from hospital, she couldn’t walk so well but she can be down on streets.

”Why he would be?” Dusty asked.

”We saw musher taking him on vet’s place…so I think he’s dead” Kodi said and snorted.

”Oh c’mon guys…he was just one soldier…do we need one?” Ralph asked, others laughed.

Suddenly the door opened and interrupted the laughing. Gold White husky walked in. His eyes were shining a bit when he sat down. “Hi guys I’m a newbie on here…so…could someone help me a bit?” he asked and smirked.

One female who was smiling to him jumped down and walked up to the dog. “I can” she said softly and pointed her nose outside. “OK thank you” dog said and nodded his head.

They both walked out. “So…who was that guy?” Kirby asked, he was like left behind.

”One dog just wanted to find himself on home…” Kodi said quietly and licked his paw.

Dog was walking with the female. “So…what’s your name?” she asked from him. Dog gave short glance on her. “You know…? I just don’t like so much from questions…” dog said and suddenly he walked inside small storage room. Female padded behind him confused.

”Errh…the right way is on that direction…not in here” she said giggling. Dog only pointed her to come and see something. “What you see on this water barrel?” he asked.

She walked and looked on the water barrel. “Errhh…I can’t see anything” she said.

”I see something…” Dog said smiling weakly staring her.

”What do you see?” she asked and looked deeper on the water while dog walked behind her.

”Death” Dog said and suddenly he pushed her on the water barrel so that she couldn’t come out from the water at all. He smiled weakly.

”Poor girl…” he added while he holds her struggling body still on the water. Her tail was only thing what came out from the water.

He heard desperate shouts of help under the water.

Soon body stopped struggling. “Done what is done” Husky said smirking and then pulled her out from the water and threw her on street near frozen barrel. “Let’s see what others like from this thing” he added and then disappeared on shadows laughing evilly.

Chapter: Four.
Time: Still Date is Unknown, winter 1928

Location: Nome, Alaska

I woke up inside hospital boiler room, well I heard something what came near. Of course I ran to see what was going on.

When I ran out I only saw frozen dead female husky. Cold shiver ran through my spine while I stared the death dog. I felt bad at the moment.

”And of course I’m getting blames.” I said quietly to myself when I then heard scratching near me. I took a look on corner and saw when black and white female husky walked out from there. She saw me with the body and her eyes froze.

She stood there staring me like eight wonder.

”YOU!” She shouted to me. I felt cold shout running through my body. I shivered in fear also cold air.

”What? I didn’t do this!” I defended but before I could react she was on her way towards boiler room.

”Now devil is unleashed!” I shouted to myself and sat down. Ears pulled down against my skull…

I only take off by running only thing on my mind: To get away as soon as possible.

I felt suddenly something under my legs and I tripped on ground growling my idiotic run.

I turned to see sharp wire around my legs, it have been thrown in recycle.

I growled while I got up once again and kept running hearing something behind me. I wished in the name of god that I won’t die in this town. Everywhere I went I heard sounds.

I was near panic and felt sadness rushing through my body. Suddenly I saw two figures standing in front of me. Both of them were growling. “You come with us” second of the dogs said to me. I sniffed and shake my head.

”I didn’t do it” I explained weakly when I felt someone grabbing from my scruff.

I whimpered against but soon joined with them walking between those two dogs. Both of them were strong looking and selfish ones. In reality I knew they were just arrogant towards me because I’m only normal Scout / Messenger Soldier.

I was dragged inside boiler room where they threw me on ground middle of everyone. They formed a circle around me few ones growling. I felt fear at once when I saw their blood hungry faces; I didn’t want to make up a fight so I held my tail and ears low.

”So…we have been gathered on here for one thing…a murder has happen in this town today…earlier” one old Bernard said slowly. Gasps filled the air and glances turned towards me…

”What? Do you guys think that I did kill someone? Nooo I didn’t do anything like that” I refused feeling still the painful look of others. My soul shivered in fear. I didn’t do it but they don’t believe me…
I tried to think out something. I saw the Black and white female husky smiling to me. Or more it was smirk.

I felt bad when I got hit by a paw on my back so that I almost fell on ground.


Kodi gave that to me. Dusty was growling with him. “What?” I asked they didn’t answer to me. I felt that I want to runaway or die…first option sounded better.

I stared around like trying to find help near by, I knew it was useless trying to find help from dogs who blames wrong dog.

I knew I haven’t done anything wrong but I wished that I have could know who did that murder.

Suddenly door banged open and one wounded husky limped in. His gold white fur was having cuts and they were bleeding badly.

As in fear I at once knew what this husky was going to say. He was going to blame me at once, am I right or wrong? I swore to myself that if he blames me I’ll definitely murder him. I hate when MSDF is getting disliked by others.

Husky stared me and some others before he fell on ground. I smirked a bit to this dog.

Soon I heard when dogs run up to this husky. “Who did this to you?” one dog asked from the husky who whimpered. I saw Husky staring me a while.

”Someone with black and white fur…it was definitely male!” husky shouted. I rolled my eyes because I knew who their going to blame at once.

Other dogs turned towards me growling loudly, I turned towards them moving towards boiler feeling the warm air on my back soon starting to burn the older one.

”So…with this husky’s words…you’re the one who murdered female and hurt badly this husky leaving him to die and for some parts…you have cleaned the blood off and then wiped the water also off…” one dog explained simply to me. Why he knew so much about MSDF tricks? This husky who told those words was weir…definitely weird.

I felt like everyone’s glance made hole on my body. I couldn’t protect myself well…I’m too badly outnumbered.

Huskies growled to me and I tried to do same to them. I was already outcast of the town.

I gave up in a sigh. “If you so much blame me GO AHEAD!” I shouted with my whole voice. “Kill me then!” I added in growl preparing to fight in a way what was too bad to me. I already felt several cuts and bites sinking on my black white fur. I lowered my head revealing my neck so that someone can just broke it down. I wanted that now so much…to get away from a town where I have nothing to do expect stay there and wait until someone comes and saves my butt.

”So…He admit it…the one who done those crimes “Ralph said proudly like he was just found out who is the murderer by himself.

”Go ahead and kill innocents” I said in growl finally feeling enough strength to fight against them. I knew that they will beat me in a word war anyway because none was helping me in it.

I felt when hot metal touched my hind leg and I moved a bit forward from it.

Soon Husky spoke up when he limped in front of me. “You bastard…you murdering rat” he cursed to me when his face almost hit on mine.

I stared his cold blue eyes seeing view of want of murder. I saw also scars on his muzzle; they were covered by the fur, only some small lines were able to see.

I shivered when I felt his breath when I saw his fangs my body freeze. His fangs were really sharp ones...

He growled to me baring his teeth’s to me. I done same to him and also noticed that he was a bit stronger and bigger than I was, I felt fear run down on my spine.

His body was strong from some parts, also I saw wound what usual comes when wears uniform wrong way. The wound was exactly same looking. It made me think.

”Now he wants to die so we’ll give him to chance to die” one husky from corner spoke up. Everyone approached me a bit.

I this time hit against wall when one husky threw me on it. I whimpered in pain and this time I saw my chance to take off. The path to door was clear. I smirked and then suddenly got up faster than others could react and ran pass the guards of the door Crushing against door then hitting on snow.

I run as fast from that place succeeding to disappear on shadows and clean my smell tracks.

I somehow just succeed to lose the trail for those who left to hunt me. I knew that I was on deep and thin ice.

Finally I rushed inside the hospital room where I have settled down. I’m so sure that everyone will check it out so I build up small hide place for me. The small hole what leads under the hospital was making excellent place to hide was small box where I could fit in easily.

I soon find myself inside the box in perfect timing when door on the room banged open and growling was easy to hear.

”Now is this place clear?” one voice asked from another. Female answered “I’m sure this is clean…but I’ll check it you can go” she said softly and I heard someone padding away.

My body struggled in pain because the bad position where I was at the moment.

Steps came towards me. I started to go in panic, I felt warm waves rushing through my body. I wanted to jump I wanted to pin the attacker before she will do it to me.

I felt someone leaning on the box and then heard a sigh. I wished it could be over soon. Dog suddenly patted the box hearing that it was hollow.

Now I went into panic, I needed to get out. Suddenly my cover was busted by a black and white female Husky. I didn’t think, I become a drooling beast when I leaped from my hide and hit on her.

She fell on ground under my body and yelled in pain, before she could yell help I blocked her mouth and bite down on her throat showing that I was serious.

I didn’t beat too deep to taste her blood, only her fur, ahh the soft fur what I felt under my body felt good.

I let her throat go and unblocked her muzzle. She was quiet and her eyes stared me like I was a monster. She didn’t say anything to me. Her smile was vanished anyway.

She stared me scared. “You…Rayne…please…don’t hurt me” she pleaded and I wished that I could growl to her.

”Why shouldn’t I do that?” I asked ironically and growled I almost sunk my fangs in her flesh. She almost screamed. “You made me bad…you told that I murdered someone…because of you I’m hunted like animal…because of you I’m now hiding and soon going to leave the town!” I shouted to her in large growl. I could see in her eyes that she was sorry.

”I…I’m sorry…” she said. “You’re just…the murderer….” she added.

”I-did-not-murder-her!” I said to her in growl. She nodded her head in fear. “Okay okay! I believe now…” she said in fear. I could see it again in her eyes when her eyes started to get wet.

I couldn’t stand to watch her almost crying. I admitted that she was kind of beautiful looking when she was almost crying. My only chance was to hold her inside this place for sure…

”By the way…you never told you’re name to me” I suddenly said. She sniffed and looked me.

”My…name is…May…” she said quietly when I watched her fur. I could feel smile. “May…” I tasted the word, I could first say that her name was kind of nice but I didn’t.

”Yeah” she said while she swallowed.

”Don’t be afraid…I won’t hurt you like you and your friends hurt me” I explained to her suddenly she pushed me off and growled to me. I hit on ground while she got up, soon I moved back on my feet’s facing her in growl.

I heard bang and something drop on ground. I looked it and saw that some of construction of the hospital under world was collapsed blocking the way out.

I growled. “Now what…we’re stuck in here” I said quietly and felt suddenly impact against my body and I hit on ground feeling May’s fangs on my throat. I reacted and kicked her off getting up same time and leaped on her, she avoided and rolled on side and getting up she hit on my body and we both fell on ground fighting against each others. She bit hard on me I didn’t.

Soon I felt blood trickle down on my side. She has cut wound on my face, it was located under my right eye. I growled but didn’t do anything to her, she noticed that soon and finally pinned me on ground growling. “Why you don’t defend yourself?!” she asked biting down on my throat. I didn’t this time do anything.

”I don’t want to fight against innocents…I’m not those who kills for defend…I thought you could know…if I’m the murderer I could kill you…which I’m not I haven’t kill you” I told her calmly.

May stopped biting me and looked me growling, then she got up and walked to see can she get out, she saw only wall in front of her and no way out.

I smiled only. “No way out…just calm down” I told her feeling that I made wrong move. She sighed and lay down as far as possible from me. Curious grew inside me.

May growled and relaxed, because she was as far from me as she can. “So…do you have a mate?” I asked in curiousness she growled to me louder.

”Why do you ask SOLDIER? You thought to rape me or do something to me aren’t you?” she asked growling to me. I smirked.

”Ma’am if I’ll do that you’d dead by now” I explained to her in smirk and then I sighed.

”Alright you’re the man” May said to me in a sigh. I watched her black fur. She was like a copy from me, but I wasn’t so sure. “May…is your fathers name…Jack?” I asked softly, she growled again to me. “No his name wasn’t “Jack” who ever he is…My mother’s name is…-“she stopped like she was going to tell something to me.

”Mother’s name is…what?” I asked in curious. she growled to me for answer

”None of your business soldier” she said and snorted to me. We’re both stuck in this place and she was acting towards me like that…

”My mothers name was Luna” I told quietly, she snorted for answer.

”Well none of your business STILL!” she shouted.

”Then why you want to talk with me then?” I asked. She growled louder. “Because you’re talking to me!” she said.

”Well you can always ignore” I said to her growling. She went quiet.

”Nothing to talk” she said quietly and sighed. I snorted.

”Why do you hate workers like I am?” I suddenly asked, she growled not wanting to talk, but she said something. “Your friends have murderer my friends” she said in low tone.

”Hey listen my all friends are dead my family sold me and I-“She cut me off. “”hey I’m not interested to hear your boring stories about your life ok? I have my own problems with them” she said quietly snapping.

I sighed, now being locked inside a place with a dog who hates me more than anything in world.

”OK fine then be like your kind of angry and merciless” I snapped and rolled on my side showing back to her.

I felt tear running down on my cheek. I felt too sad on that moment. I sobbed softly and quietly… myself into dream…

Dog smirked seeing when others went on hunt. He relaxed inside boiler room smiling. “Mission accomplished” he said softly to himself.

May turned to watch Rayne hearing his sobbing. She smiled weakly knowing now how bad he was feeling.

She opened her mouth to say something but she didn’t. She went quiet.

Other dogs still were searching Rayne…they couldn’t find him…

Chapter: 5
Location: Under hospital
Time: Still unknown Winter, 1928

 I smiled weakly when I woke up in night, I heard chewing and saw that May was trying to get out, under the hospital. Her mouth was bleeding a bit from wounds she got while she tried to rip wood off blocking her path.

”Hey C’mon…it won’t give up” I said quietly to calm her, she snorted and sighed and turned towards me holding her mouth open letting blood to trip away from there.

I stared her fur what were stained some blood. She lay down and sighed again.

Her eyes showed sadness being locked with me under hospital. She was going to bark help. “Please…don’t do that…” I said pealing she looked me like idiot.

”Oh…I’m sorry…I forget that…” she said quietly and lowered her head. She wasn’t so bad after all, only tough from her heart that’s all, well I thought so at least, I’m never sure what sort of girl she is.

”May…?” I started; she looked me and nodded her head then looked ground starting to stare it.

”How did you end up in this town?” She asked suddenly from me. I went bit quiet from her sudden question. Felt just weird that someone who hates me more than anything suddenly asks that sort of question.

”Well…” I started now knowing that I need to tell long story “It’s a long story” I said quietly, she frowned.

”I have time to wait…” she said quietly. “Can’t go anywhere anyways” she added and now making weak smile to me. At least something warmed my heart.

”Well…I born in one town and there I get sold to another family and they moved in Nenana…then they just left me on there when they got ‘baby’ and I stayed there…when I was having no other chance I joined in army…get a chance so I took it” I explained to her in short version. She looked me in small shock.

”Just left you…? Just left you like old sock?” she asked shock in her face. I nodded for answer.

May looked ground and nodded. “Well…mine isn’t so…bad…I just moved here from some town and now living here free…my owner barley looks after me so I’m doing well…he feeds me and take me on walk and I got job to do being sled dog, and many other things…” she said in small smile to me. I listened her story, of course it was first story what I can hear from a dog who ain’t a soldier.

”Well…you thought to continue your life…with someone?” I asked in small embarrassment. She frowned to me before she was going to tell anything.

”I have thought…but there is no one…good looking…tough…also emotional…nice and kind…funny…and those things…also ready for everything” she explained. Her wishes were kind of hard ones, but some soldiers could be that kind but I stopped thinking soldiers. It made me shiver.

I let out small smile. “Thank you” I said quietly. She looked me confused.

”Why you thank me for?” she asked curious in her eyes. I made contact on those eyes she made also on mine. We stared a while each others before I spoke up. “Well you’re the first one who tells me something about yourself” I explained letting out weak embarrassed smile.

She giggled. “Well your also first YOUR kind of worker who tells me yours…just can’t believe that you was just left…” she said quietly.

”You should hear others…from my old team…I just…can’t believe how cruel ones their pastes are…many of them have lost their families for wolves, SSWD and to humans…Few ones were left out in wild to die…many sort of ones…” I explained. Then woke up question: “how I earth I get in this town at first place?”

I looked her.

”How I did get into this town? When I passed out in wild because my wound…I just woke then inside vet’s place…” I said quietly, she frowned a bit.

”Well…the team where I belong…just came on that moment. We didn’t see what you was…musher picked you up and get you on hospital…that’s all” she said and looked on other way.

”I’m also sorry…that I have acted rudely towards you…your soldier…” she suddenly said quietly.

I smiled this time warmly. “You’re the first one who apologizes that sort of cases…and I’m grateful from it…and it’s ok…every soldier isn’t evil one…we’re just dogs who done what their ordered to do…and trained…like Sled dogs…but in different missions” I told her, she smiled to me back.

Her lip was bleeding a bit, she licked her blood off from the lip. Then just nodded looking her wounded paw what she hurt while she tried to get away from this room, I’m sure from it that wound came because of that.

She licked it softly I stared farer now searching a way to escape from there. I was now sure that I have now one friend at least.

”Are you hurt badly?” I asked because I was mostly dumb. I always asked that same question in field when one dog almost died in grenade.

She looked me a while with her blue eyes. I didn’t look back to make eye contact.

”Well…I can’t say this so bad…” she said and then cocked her head a bit.

I felt again dumb and I looked the blocked path walking onto it. I sniffed it carefully like in fear that it will bite.

May giggle to my sniffing, she first time did that so that I can hear it, usual I only hear snorts and feel bites from other dogs who aren’t MSDF forces.

I ignored her giggling and soon bit down on the wood what has collapsed on ground. It was too heavy for me. Also she tried to help me after while, we both tried to pull the wood collapsed wood off but it didn’t come and small part broke on it. We two hit on ground; I felt impact on my stomach and chest when she dropped atop of me.

”Upps…sorry” she said and got up fast and shook her fur. I lay still on ground before I finally got up and shook my fur also. I exam the damage we caused. There was only small piece off.

”Well we can’t get out that way” I said shortly and walked circle, I saw light coming from hospital from holes on the floor.

I saw suddenly something.

Soon I walked towards it and saw that there was no protection. I smirked. “Looks like we got a hole to freedom” I said quietly and then pushed my head through the hatch what was open. It was storage room where the hole was.

Soon I jumped on hospital room. She walked under the hole and looked at me. “Be careful…” she said softly. First time I hear that sort of words from dog who hates me that much. It seemed that she didn’t hate me that much anymore. Well I think she will stab my back at once when she’s off from that place.

I pushed the door open seeing that path was clear for me. Quiet steps I approached the check up place. I heard man snoring behind door when I finally saw the door to outside.

It went kind of hard. I was in check up room where usual people waits to be chosen to see doctor.

Door opened and man with two kids walked in. I saw my chance….

I ran and almost fell the man when I passed him so fast. He shouted curses after me when I disappeared on street.

I found troubles when I hit one dog who was searching me. “Hey! You’re the guy who we need to find!” he shouted to me. I swallowed and saw that only chance was to knock him off and fast…

I leaped on him and pinned him on ground. Soon I pushed confused dog on his belly and slapped his head with all my powers what I have. He yelped but then he was knocked out.

I ran back on the hospital boiler room and noticed that the door was open; I walked in noticing that I was all alone. Soon I walked on the hole what I used to get under hospital. It was collapsed.

Soon I felt my teeth’s ripping the wood off from the collapsed construction. It gave up and I fell on ground whimpering under the wood what I ripped off.

May’s head popped out from the hole what I cleared. She walked in and helped me up. “Thanks…now...your still…here and…you know what will happen to you anyway…” she said quietly bit worriedly.

I smiled. “No mind…I always will find out to-“ my words were interrupted by someone’s noises near the door. Three dogs walked in from the door growling to me.

May didn’t move, I stood like statue when I was busted at once. No escape on that moment I’m all alone.

”OK rat…you follow us…” Kodi said he was the first one snarling to me. I lowered my ears and followed them back towards the boiler room…

*Cut from somewhere*

Gold white husky smirked while he walked. He was now on boiler room. Two other figures were standing there also.

”Herr General?” Dog asked shyly when another Golden white husky walked out from the shadows. His face didn’t show any mercy and his brown mottled uniform was covering his body.

”Gut…your late” he said coldly in German accent to dog who didn’t use German accent.

”I’m sorry herr general…I was with the other dogs…we have problems…here is one M.S.D.F dog…” dog explained and sighed. General laughed. “You dummkopf…can’t take one dog out? Kill him or some others…” he commanded. Dog gasped “That wasn’t my job! Ronald please?” dog called out.

Ronald smirked. “You do what you have to do…kill or stay alive…Not my problem who will die…just this operation is important…you need to learn that as basic one” he said quietly.

”I do resist that slaughter also…but there is no other way to complete it…if MSDF dog is dead… here is no reinforcements…and if here is no reinforcements here is no those bloody MSDF dogs…and we can carry messages out without getting noticed…by the others…post office have now few letters…important ones…the guard of it…well” Ronald looked his two team mates who looked ground where was lying badly ripped dog, dog’s body was opened from throat and from sides. Blood was covered dog’s fur completely.

”I…I understand herr General” Dog said quietly and then ran behind streets.

Ronald smiled. “We’ll have duties because those…bastards…” He said quietly and then started to walk and disappeared on streets with the two other dogs who were his body guards.

Dog whimpered while he walked, his quiet walking didn’t make anything what could been call threat.

He soon arrived to boiler room seeing Rayne inside there with the others. Large discussion was inside the room.

”So Rayne…what you will say for defence? You ran off and that makes you guilty” one dog judged. Rayne moved against wall.

It made dog smile and giggle. Now he was sure that Rayne was going to be banished from this town.

May suddenly joined in the talk growling. “He didn’t do it! I believe him…he couldn’t do that…he was inside hospital while that murder happened the body was frozen already when he found the dead female…” she said. He could see Rayne’s surprise when May defended him.

She soon walked out several words of gasps following. This time dog was sure what to do. He followed her out.

He growled lightly while he followed May. She was walking towards her home, suddenly someone leaped on her back. Even dog got shock “Grand what the heck you’re doing here?” dog asked seeing the dog biting and wounding May who got surprised totally.

She was finally thrown into wall and she drop on ground, in unconscious.  Grand smirked. “I’m here by orders from my leader…order to help you for our…mission” Dog said. “Hans…We will do what ever it takes to get through this mission…if it works…one Division will get into trap, we will get rid of them and then do another to second division” Grand said growling. Both of them smirked and then laughed they were so sure that May won’t survive from her wounds…there were too much of them…

Conversation was heard by one dog. He was shivering in fear when he heard those words what dogs told to each others…

Chapter: Six.

Location: Nome, Alaska

I was held still inside the boiler room because others didn’t let me go.

Suddenly one panting husky crashed through door. He hit on ground panting while others attention turned onto him. Husky’s yellow white fur was bit dirty because he has fallen on ground while he was coming towards boiler room.

”What’s wrong?” One husky from corner asked and walked up to the exhausted dog and nudged his muzzle.

”They…murderers…” Dog mumbled in fear. I looked outside from the room and suddenly I felt bad and I started to run as fast as I can, I ran faster and passed the door guard by surprise.

I panted while this running, I was doing it with my all strength now hearing others barking behind me. I ran on valley easily distracting them.

Soon I felt my legs wanting to give up but I ignored the large pain in them. Soon I saw blood stained on wall. Under it was laying wounded black and white husky. I recognized the female husky as May…

”May!” I shouted running up to her. My body got stained by her blood when I lay down atop of her. She whimpered as my weight was settled down atop of her.

I knew that it was the only chance…I started to lick her wounds softly. At least now I was having a proof that I was innocent. The one husky…he was now my eyewitness.

She whimpered every time my tongue touched her wounded body; she soon let me lick not avoiding that. Other dogs catch me up growling to me at once.

They saw me lying atop of May cleaning her wounds. They thought at once that I have done that to her…if they thought that…they were wrong…

”Get off from her murderer!” one of the dogs commanded me. I growled for answer. “She is my friend and I didn’t do this to her! She would have defended and I’d have wounds but I don’t have any!” I said on answer and protected her limp form. I soon gave up to them and moved aside letting them to take her onto vets.

Before she disappeared she flashed small smile to me. I smiled to her back…wishing that she was still my friend…

Soon I felt floor against me again, I kissed it softly. Nobody inside the boiler room notice it.

I heard sounds behind me and all around. “So…with this dog’s words…we think you’re innocent” Kirby said to me. It made me smile a bit.

”But we can’t believe on him…he might be scared by something…what isn’t true...but…you said your good friend with May? Is that true?” Kirby asked from me. I swallowed and held my blushing. “Well…she’s kind of my friend…we at least talked a bit and so on…” I explained some laughing was heard around me.

”No worry from it…Rayne…you’ll now…still suspected…because we have faced this sort of problems before…those dogs might be your kind…so your still held as prisoner…don’t worry from May…she’s in good hands in vets place…so no need to worry” Those words hit on my soul and made me smile. I relaxed and looked others still feeling the cold sharp looks on my back and all around.

I was lead inside small cage. It was rusty and standing on corner of the boiler room. I moved inside it and laid down whimpering the destiny of others. What was happening in here anyway? I asked from myself. Never getting answer on it…

They closed the cage door. But something catches my nose. I sniffed the floor finding out something strange…there was old hair of another husky. I shivered that it might be old murderer but never so sure about it…

As soon as I was released from the cage I ran out with two guards who guarded me and others. I didn’t like them but I was forced to move with them. I never knew where I was going.

Soon we arrived in front of the hospital. Two of the dogs moved in there. I was soon going to follow but I didn’t. I was scared of vets.

Always when I talk with my friends in the army they told me from vet cases…they were nasty ones… Dogs were murdered without reason in vet’s places. I didn’t enjoy from those words.

I saw something in streets I saw someone moving in there. I started to move towards the moving creature. I wasn’t sure was it dog, coyote, wolf, fox what ever it is it made me feel bad.

Soon I reached on the valley where the creature disappeared. I stared in there soon seeing someone in front of me.

It was a male husky. I recognized his white uniform where was some dirt. His orange white fur was soft looking and clean. He was wearing also collar. On there was a star looking object in it. I know that every dog who has been in Antoria was wearing that kind of mark on their collar.

He was MSDF kind of soldier. But different looking marks on his uniform. Then I knew what he is. He is Special Commando Dog Force’s dog.

His still young looking face was in small smile. He was near 4 for sure I thought, but he was still tough looking…like stone.

He soon heard voices coming. They came behind me. I turned to see them and saw my guards calling me and running towards me. I sighed and slowly turned to see the husky who was disappeared from that place. I saw tracks leading on streets.

Soon guards catch me up and they pushed me to follow them. Even I refused they threw me inside vet’s home. I sat down growling feeling bad. I didn’t enjoy the surroundings at all.

Inside the room were chairs for those who were waiting their pets to come back and to wait their turn.

I also noticed tables around where were some flowers and some magazines. Some of them were only news magazines. Red carpet was soft I was sitting on it. It felt at least better than cold floor under my butt. Well I was going to sit on there.

Soon door opened and vet walked out cleaning his bloody hands on a cloth, his white working suit was bloody. I shivered hoping that May was alright. I walked inside the room slowly avoiding the vet.

I saw her lying on table. Her wounds were covered with bandages and her body was like mummy.

”May?” I asked quietly while I jumped on the table where she was lying. I lay down next to her. Atop of her was blanket what felt soft against my body.

I couldn’t hold tears what ran down on my cheeks. I wanted to revenge this to dogs who done this to her.

”Who…?” she asked weakly. I smiled and rest my head on her side. “It’s me Rayne” I answered quietly on her request. I felt when May tried to move but she couldn’t.

”Are you alright?” I asked knowing that it was kind of stupid question…

”I’m…fine” she said weakly and moved closer to me a bit. I felt her fur coming against mine from some parts where the blanket wasn’t.

I pulled the blanket over her and leaved her there to sleep. She was in sleep already.

I smiled blankly to her and then jumped away from the table just when vet came to see her. I just walked out with the two guards. They both were on their guards, they checked my ever move I made. I felt like I was some sort of criminal like I was for them…

I sighed while I walked with those dogs. Soon hearing stumbling sounds, also heard barking and fighting sounds. My two guards perked their ears up and stepped towards the valley where the sounds came.

”Should we go and check?” second of them asked. I smiled when I noticed that he was afraid to go and see what there was.

”Go and check” first snapped and then started to walk towards the sounds. Second was taking care from me. It was ultimate chance to knock him out and then runaway. Easy as a pie to complete but I don’t do it.

But I didn’t, I’m in deep situation already why to make it even worse? Well I didn’t make it any worse than this.

I soon heard a gasp and then running feet’s and falling bin lade. I ran to see what has happen and I saw one dog lying on ground deep wounds on his throat and on his neck. His body was ripped from belly also. His face was looking like a pancake because he has been hit on his muzzle several times. Also wall was stained from his blood where his face has been hit.

I almost vomited seeing that sort of mess. It has been done by a specialist and not by a normal dog. Dog’s skull could be broken also but I wasn’t sure. I thought that I won’t touch on his body.

Then I saw shining lightings on ground. It was a small mark where was two thunders connected on each others, behind the mark was large looking W letter and it was middle of large D letter. It was a beautiful mark, not so ugly but that mark made me shiver.

”What is this?” one of the guards asked and picked up the mark on his mouth. He put it on small wood table that was without legs. He placed the mark on it. “I can tell you what it is” I told to them quietly.

Dogs stared me their mouth’s open. They watched the body and growled. “No need to know what that piece is but I’m going to take you back into boiler room” husky snapped and soon he pushed me to walk.

They kept pushing me forwards. I shivered from every push they made.

Soon I was again inside the boiler room. Dogs stared me deadly once again. I saw familiar dog again in there. The same who made me freak out, the one who wanted to execute me.

He smirked deadly to me. I wanted to know his name…I really wanted to know this dog’s name. He was so weird that it remained me from SS dog. Also the acting way he used…was kind of wanting to get rid of me.

”There have been another murder…this time a dog who we don’t know…he seem to be new around…his body was complete mess…his face was like blood pile and his belly was ripped open a bit, his one leg was broken…his body was having other damage also” one of the guards reported. I sighed again hearing those wounds.

”Oh please…” I started. Others stared me like I was dead meat already. I went quiet and settled down on corner still being watched by guards…

*Cut Place*

Hans watched Rayne. He growled softly and then walked out from the boiler room after he was locked inside a cage. He padded quietly soon seeing some dogs gathered around something. He ran to see what because his curious took over him.

He almost vomited when he saw his own team mate lying on ground in his own blood pound ripped from several places. He thought that was it was executes but it surely wasn’t.

”Who have done this?” Hans asked in soft growl of anger, he frowned and then walked off near his team mate who was ripped apart.

He growled and disappeared on side streets. He stopped to take eat from small trash can and ate something good from there.

He growled while the food ends inside the can. He growled and walked awhile soon eyeing something in front of him. He let out small growl walking towards the stranger. “Who are you?” He asked growling. “Show yourself!” he commanded and stepped backwards.

Dog walked out wearing white uniform. Hans felt his body froze up when he saw that dog. He couldn’t do anything else expect yell when dog leaped on him. Soon desperate battle ended up into blood shed. Blood stained on ground while dying Hans yelled before the yell disappeared into watery growl…

Dog who had done the murder looked the SS dog and smiled weakly. “One down…few to go” he said and sighed then walking on the street growling quietly to himself…

He disappeared on side streets after he checked old boat wreck smirked. “Hero is off from the days…on a run where he won’t come that fast…with some others…” he snorted softly. “Only one who gave small sympathy for us…” he added and smiled. Star on his collar was shining weakly. There was large A letter. His Orange white fur was shining weakly on moon light. His white uniform was stained from blood and from dirt…dog ignored and disappeared on streets…

For the Glorious General…


Last night was weird for me…I woke up inside cage and of course I had threaten feeling from the situation. It made me shiver in small fear.

”Why is everyone acting like that?” I asked from myself feeling idiotic feeling inside me.

Soon one dog woke up he was guard for me padded up to me and smiled a bit. “Can mister hold his mouth shut?” he asked in arrogant accent and growled.

I stared him like I have just heard that I’m a father. “What the hell is wrong with you?” I asked from the husky who looked over his shoulder, and then he looked back to me.

I stared him my jaws dropped because of the collar he was wearing. It was brown collar where was strong Silver metal plate, his eyes were cold ones. I felt again shiver rushing through my mind. “W-who are you?” I asked from him suddenly.

Dog growled baring his sharp fangs, either way his claws were also sharp looking and his body was tough one.

His muscles were quite large ones, also his legs were strong. Then I get it, he wasn’t normal sled dog. He wasn’t sled dog at all…he was a soldier…his body busted him for me…

He saw my shock and he smirked for it. “Surprised…MSDF?” dog asked in large smirk

I saw his fur, golden white one also small scar running down on his leg. It wasn’t made by animal…it was made by bayonet that humans use in their rifles…

”So rat… what are your last words?” Dog asked in growl while he walked up near the cage. I got up growling to him. He growled me back. I saw his collar but didn’t get the name that was reading on it.

He also saw my glances on his collar. “Not a MSDF crap collars...is it? No name in it because we’re better ones in all ways” soldier said now baring his teeth’s again into large grin ready to bite my skull down. I backed away knowing that if he makes the mistake I’m waiting, his going to be dead.

He growled and saw my movements. “You think I’m going to open that cage?” he asked in grin and then walked a bit then grabbing from ground a stick.

”You know these toys?” he asked dropping it ground near me so that I can’t reach on it. “You know what will happen if pin disappears?” he asked in growl and smiled after that…

My heart skipped a beat when he pulled the pin off and spit it on somewhere where it made glinck sound.

”Have funny time” he said and ran off.

”You Bastard!” I shouted after him then eyeing the grenade. I rushed on the cage door seeing it give up. Faster I made large punch on it and it opened. I was just going to run when behind me suddenly exploded…

*Cut Scent*

Hans smirked when he heard the explosion and saw some boxes dropping on ground because the grenade damaged them a bit. He smirked even more. “His dead” he said in quiet accent and then disappeared on streets.

All around Nome some peoples woke on the explosion of the grenade. Some just ran towards the area hoping the best. The boiler room was nearly in flames, when man’s made inside it they started to exhaust the flames with blankets and with snow.

Kodi, Kirby, Dusty and some others ran to see what has happen. “Oh dear lord…” Kirby mumbled. Ralph ran suddenly from streets and stopped panting. “That happened…earlier…” he said through pants.

Dusty sighed with Kodi. “What about Rayne?” Kodi suddenly asked.

”Well you don’t want to hear it…we couldn’t find him…cage was crushed under boxes…” Ralph said quietly. Long deep silence became over the trio and over Kodi.

”Is he…?” Dusty asked not wanting to hear the worst one. Ralph nodded slowly his head.

”Only what we found was blood pound on the boiler room…some fur…nothing else…rest was gone…” Ralph explained.

”How powerful that was....? It can’t just make whole dog to explode in atoms…” Kodi said thinking a bit; he then frowned and looked the trio. “What are we going to tell to May?” he added after his sentence.

Silence grew again between the dogs that didn’t want to even talk about the situation.

”I don’t know…” Dusty said and then head low she started to walk towards the hospital where May was at this moment.

Kodi wanted to follow but Ralph and Kirby blocked his path. “We have something other to do…we have a sled run…Dusty isn’t able to run yet…so she can stay…we can’t” Ralph said in small growl and then walked towards Post office…

Behind streets three dogs stared the post office. “How long yet?” first asked and shivered because of the cold air.

”2 minutes…and why do we have to do this at morning? It’s like a suicide!” second said shivering in cold also. Third snorted. “We do what we have been ordered to do and you guys follow the rules” third snapped in cold accent.

Every dog swallowed in small fear of being busted.

Suddenly post office exploded. Pieces flew all around near the area where it exploded. Man who was with 3 dogs awaiting rest of the team to arrive and also loading the cargo was swallowed by the flames with his dogs and soon man was running like a burning torch all around yelling and screaming. Dogs flew around; One was burning also slowly to his death.

Second others ran a while with the man before they fell on ground screaming in pain before they died also. Man yelled hitting on a wall while he ran, after that he fell on ground and burn slowly to dark mommy…

Dog smirked while they left. “Everything we need to do in here is done” one of them said while they ran…

They disappeared on forest…

Kodi, Ralph and Kirby heard the explosion and they ran to see what was going on. Each of them shocked of the view of burning house and burned mommies.

”OH MY GOD!” Kirby said trying to avoid sniffing the smell of toasted flesh. He seems to hate it a lot.

”First Rayne now these guys” Kodi said in growl and then turned towards his friends. “Tell this to everyone in old mill…we can’t take this sort of threat like a funny thing…this is serious now” he said baring his teeth’s a bit then he ran down on streets…

Kirby and Ralph took off towards Old mill… Everything they had in their mind was: Away before something will happen…

Meanwhile inside hospital Dusty who was staring towards smoking post office sighed, she went inside room where May was resting inside a basket. May’s black and white fur was covered with bandages and her neck bandage was having some blood in it.

May woke up in steps and almost yelped in surprise. “It’s ok May! It’s just me” Dusty said and saw when slowly and carefully May lay back down in the basket.

May shivered a bit, Dusty saw how afraid she was. “Are you alright?” Dusty suddenly asked from May who nodded her head softly and quietly almost crying like usual.

”I have waked up in a explosion…I’m afraid…of what it was…” she said looking on other direction avoiding eye contact with Dusty who sighed.

”May…we haven’t found Rayne…” she said quietly.

May raised her head in shock and looked Dusty. “What? Was he…no…” she said small tear running down on her cheek. She closed her eyes and laid her head on ground whimpering a bit. “It can’t be…” she said.

”We aren’t sure yet…but it’s more likely that he didn’t make it…” Dusty added feeling also pain inside her.

”Rayne isn’t bad…why everyone hates him and wants to get rid of him?” May suddenly asked in small growl.

Dusty tilted her head. “What do you mean?” she asked and sat down showing that she was ready to hear a long story if May is going to tell her a one.

”Well…first of all…he is abandoned dog…he was left when he was a pup…all alone…then he was just…adopted by the army of M.S.D.F…” May started seeing Dusty bit shocking from those words ‘Abandoned’.

”Continue…” Dusty said wanting to hear even more.

”Well…he told me something about his lone life and so on…he is lost…I told some of mine, and…I kind of…” May said almost blushing…

Dusty smiled a bit to her blushing. “You like him?” she asked giggling.

May nodded her head quietly. “He is just…a bit personal and caring dog…he helped me when I was wounded…he done a lot to me…talked …even I wanted to kill him while we two were under hospital and blocked inside there…” May said and giggled. “He hasn’t taken my heart yet at least…so he is at this moment only a friend” May added in a small smile. “But now he is gone…” she said and sighed sadly feeling again tear dropping on her paw.

Dusty smiled sweetly a while. “So…you mean…we…have to say sorry from our treatment for him?”

May nodded her head. “He is not here in sabotage or something else like that…we just saved him and he is here…his lost also I guess…otherwise he could be gone few days ago” May said in sigh.

Dusty nodded her head in small sadness of seeing such a beautiful husky who liked a bit from a male who was hated dog around and now even dead.

”I wish…that I could…change time…Why he was locked in a cage anyway?” May suddenly asked.

Dusty cocked her head. “We…still kept him in some sort of threat” she said feeling bit embarrassment because they felt that from innocent dog.

May growled a bit but then sighed in sadness that soon captured her whole soul. She started to cry on her paws tears running down on her cheeks.

”So Husky? You made it this far” One Orange white husky said smirking to one dog who was inside shadows. Husky didn’t hear any answers. “Oh I forget to tell my name…My name is Speedy” Orange white husky said in a smile. Dog inside shadows didn’t answer he whispered only the answer like he was in large pain…

”Welcome in Private…this is Operation: Quiet Wind 2” Speedy said in small smirk.

Small laughing came out from the street below…

Silence was cleaning Nome once again. Everything seems to be so clean and pure…it wasn’t the truth.

3 Dog soldiers ran on streets checking and avoiding windows and doors they moved like shadows and never showed their selves.

Speedy was staring from shadows and sighed sadly when he saw those dogs running on streets. One of those dogs ran on street where Speedy was.

Husky’s granite face was cold looking and eyes were lifeless ones. Speedy leaped suddenly on his husky. Both fought from their lives. Speedy suddenly succeed to slap dog’s snout so that dog exposed his throat where he sunk his jaws at once. Speedy shook his head violently causing large wound on throat also blood flying from there staining on his fur and on his face.

Soon lifeless husky dropped on ground whimpering and letting watery growling. Speedy smirked and turned on husky who was behind box. “C’mon boy…let’s show those dogs who are here…two left one officer second is only private…their target is somewhere here” he explained and then ran off on streets. Husky only stared hospital and then ran inside there from doggy door that was open still for some reason.

He quietly walked awhile inside the room then opening small door. May woke up on the sounds of opening door and forced to let her gaze search person who came from the door, her eyes went wider...

Inside old mill some dogs were talking from the situation what was inside Nome, when suddenly door blow open and panting uniformed orange white husky hit on ground.

Soon husky got up smirking to those dogs that gasped and stared him like he was some sort of god or something like that.

”Gentlemen’s this is ultimate chance for you to help me…I’m sure that SOME of you remembers me” Husky said. Few dogs recognized him and they gasped.

”Speedy?” one brown cream husky asked from corner, and jumped down walking up to him.

”Aye it’s me in pure body and in idiotic Uniform that feels hot and is uniform of SLED DOG!” Speedy said in annoyed tone and then suddenly looked others.

 “For small tip…I bet Rayne is dead and never be able to see in here anymore…so IF here is some dogs that want to revenge the murder of Rayne can join up with me and follow…there is two SS-Dogs marching on your streets wanting to kill everyone” Speedy explained.

At once Dusty stepped out, that caused some gasps and suddenly Kodi followed then Kirby, Ralph and some others stood there in small single line. Speedy smiled.

”Good with this task force we can take those two out before they will kill this towns mayor” Speedy said then he turned and ran out from the building.

Kodi’s team followed him tightly behind.

SS-Dogs were just planting Schatchel Charge. “C’mon is it ready yet?” one of them asked in annoyance and then he heard some barking.

”Schnell!” he said suddenly and moved behind barrel. “Achtung! There comes hunting party leaded by S.C.D.F dog!” Husky yelped and then eyed his friend who suddenly dropped the bag on ground and started to run.

Speedy eyed the dogs not seeing anyone who could carry golden plate. “What? 2 Privates?” he asked while he ran towards them. SS dog grabbed from grenade that was inside his bag but before he could pull it out Speedy leaped on him with help of Kodi and two others.

Rest leaped on the second who started to fight desperate way against them, he was outnumbered but was sure that he takes at least ONE with him.

Blood stained on walls when Speedy and some others killed the first SS-Dog who yelled in pain. Second succeed to take first dog out from the days by slapping his snout and then ripping exposed throat open. Blood flew on walls but that was last thing he could do before he was killed by several fangs on his neck and on his face area…

Speedy checked the area not seeing one dark figured coming closer from valley…

”Now we have to find the lead-“Speedy started but before he could end his sentence someone slapped him with small needle and then ran away. Speedy gasped when he saw the needle and then he simply fell on ground on his side panting weakly before he closed his eyes…

”No…Sleeping…arrow…” he said quietly and fell asleep on that place…

Kodi and others growled and went after the German Shepherd who done that to Speedy.

Shepherd stopped a while and saw enemies closing in so he continued running. He felt panting escaping from his mouth and felt his body wanting to give up but he didn’t let it to rest, he turned on small street and then almost hit his head on wall. “Scheiss!” he shouted in accent and slapped the wall without real use. “Road Block” he growled sending also curses. “Damn dead end” he added and turned to see that others catch him up growling on the street.

Shepherd was now blocked. “Ach…you guys will never catch me alive!” he shouted pulling stick grenade pulling the pin out knowing that they can avoid it… He dropped it on ground letting it to explode.

His body exploded into pieces blood staining all around the walls, and what was left drop on ground.

Blood flew on Kodi’s face and he cursed cleaning it away now seeing that what was left from the dog, he almost vomited on the view of headless and legless body…

Each of the SS-Dogs near by was killed…

After two annoying hours…

Boiler room.

Most of the dogs were talking from the situation what has happen. None of them didn’t talk from Rayne, they knew the wrong treatment they gave to him, but they thought that he was dangerous…

Still on the end someone was happy. May was staring into distance on outskirt of the town. She sighed sadly and also in joy.

She soon felt one dog close with her and she nuzzled the figure softly and lovingly. “I wish you will come some day back” she said and licked softly husky’s cheek while husky licked her back.

”I will…I’m sure from it…but now I’ll say good bye…” husky said and May smiled sadly but felt lick what caused her to melt almost. “Never farewell…” Dog said and they nuzzled each others again.

Speedy passed them both. “Enough with the flirting I have a sled job to do…even I hate it” he snapped and last words were evil sounding.

May giggled and gave hug to Speedy who smiled narrowly. “Thank you ma’am but I have other business to do” he said and then started to walk away.

Dog nuzzled May again. “See you one day May…” he said and disappeared with Speedy into forest. May let out small tear and whispered: “Good bye Rayne…” she said quietly…

Chapter: One

In a life time someone might find out who he or she is. On the other hand- they don’t. I found out after I was born…

My name is Rayne, for friends Ray or whatever they call me. I was born somewhere in Alaska, for some reason I forgot where.

Of course I don’t remember where I was born. I was only a pup when I was separated from my mother and father. I only know how I became something…That everyone hates…

I’m a black-and-white husky. White markings around my eyes. At the moment my age is 3 and a half.

I feel bad about my life. Born in a town that I don’t remember the name of. I loved to play with my siblings. I never got bored with them. Then came the time when the family that I lived with started selling my brothers and sisters. I felt bad because of that.

Soon one strong-looking man grabbed me. I almost yelped in pain because he picked me up pretty rudely. After all he was the nicest man that I had ever seen. He patted my head and held me against his chest while he gave my family some money.

I smiled and bit his jacket open playfully. He only chuckled and held me in his hands laughing.

He took me to his house. Inside his house was one pretty fat woman. She patted my head also when the man placed me on the kitchen table. I started wagging my tail and panting- jumping up and down on the kitchen table.

Also inside the house were several boxes. I finally understood that they were going to move away from the town. I only remember two large bunkers inside the town. Also there were two large factories inside the town.

After a few days they moved away. I was with them inside a small basket.

Did it take two or three days to arrive at the new town? I can’t remember that well but I enjoyed the travelling.

Now I was in a new place. This town’s name was Nenana. I smiled because I had learned to read during my life. I sniffed my new home’s yard completely when I first got there. I was happy about my life…

But then… My master’s wife suddenly was taken to the hospital. I whined because my master told me to stay home. I stayed and went to sleep but I was worried about the woman’s life.

Nothing bad happened…But when they got back after a few days, they had something with them. They called it “baby”.

A few days passed and soon I realised that I didn’t get any attention. It felt bad because I was only a pup during those times. I wanted to play with my master like I had done everyday, but no. This baby was more important than I.

Soon I heard talking coming from the kitchen. I didn’t usually mind to go and listen to it, but this time I went to listen.

They talked about me. My ears perked up when I heard my name “Rayne”. I wished I could do something about it… I couldn’t only listen them.

My master was talking about something to do with moving back to the place where I lived before, also something else that he whispered to his wife. I remember these words- “…I’ll whisper it to you… So that Rayne can’t hear it…”

I didn’t understand what would happen to me.

During the days I noticed that my food was nearly at an end. Also they were moving again.

I enjoyed travelling so I prepared in my own way. They made everything up for me like they did before we moved to this town. I barked playfully, but the baby started crying when I did so. I got scolded.

Soon the day came. I was exactly 8 weeks old at that time. I was adopted when I was 7 weeks old.

They loaded the truck and then they started moving. I was with them smiling, but after a while the truck stopped. I noticed a few tears on my master’s wife’s cheek.

They picked up the basket where I was in and jumped out from the truck. I didn’t realise what they were doing.

My master patted my head and raised his finger to command me. “Rayne… Stay!” he said then jumped back into the truck and then they left me. Of course I stayed there.

Winter wasn’t even near so I wasn’t shivering from the cold. I was on the outskirts of the town.

I felt hunger rise inside me, but I still sat in the basket- but nothing, no one came.

Hunger forced me to move to find something to eat, but what could I eat?

I padded to a restaurant. I sat on the porch begging for one man’s food. The man glanced at me and grabbed his water glass. He then threw water onto me and shouted something. I only took off running all wet.

I stopped running when I found out that I was all alone again.

The only thing I did was lay in my basket and wait.

In the morning I finally realised that my owners wouldn’t come back. I cried a few hours in the basket.

Suddenly I felt a nudge on my back and I turned my head to see who it was. He was a young husky. His face was still childish looking and he was wearing some kind of suit.

He opened his mouth to talk to me. “Hey there… What you’re doing all alone in here?” he asked me. I sniffed for an answer and the dog nodded his head and gently picked me up.

He took me into the forest and there I saw other dogs like him. Each of them was dirty and they wore green coloured cloth around their whole body.

They talked a while asking questions about me where I did answer well. I told my age and how I had gotten into this sort of situation. They nodded their heads and asked me, “Do you want to get a new and good home?” And I answered, “Yes I do want to get into a new home…”

I never knew where they took me, but I only heard one word… ’The Alpha Den’

Later I found out that I was in a training facility. Their were going to teach me how to fight, run, tactics and other things. I was really excited about the situation.

Soon I realized that it wasn’t so fun after all. It was tough training. For a few weeks we only ran. Me and my new friends that they called “Team-mates.”

I ran and ran everyday starting from 0600 and late into the night. I learned soon that it meant 06:00 am.

I got scolded with the others but I soon also learned that those scolds were meant to make us tough dogs.

A year went by. I was now full grown, but still a pup. Now they threw us clothes that they caledl “Uniforms.” I also found out that I was in a Military Special Dog Force’s training facility.

They forced us to fight each other to separate the bad dogs from the good ones.

That was a tough job. I beat a few dogs but also got beaten too. I was chosen for the good side- I was proud.

The uniform was heavy- 20 kilos- and I didn’t like that weight. It wasn’t a bad uniform after all. It suited me pretty well. It didn’t bother me while I ran or fought.

It protected my whole body, except my throat, neck, legs, and belly were open for attacks. I soon learned to protect those parts well with the others.

I was fast, one of the fastest dogs on my team.

After 3 years I was now free of the training, now an adult, but still called a “Green horn” due to lack of experience.

I was transformed into a dog division for an attack. It was the winter of 1928 after half a year.

Well I got into a Scout team and I hanged out with 12 dogs. We patrolled and did everything that was fun.

Finally we went into a mountain range. We patrolled long distances.

My strong leader led us through the forest.

There I feared the worst. A gunshot suddenly cut through the silence. On my face spat something warm and it tasted bad. I opened my eyes and saw my leader leaning forwards. He then fell onto the ground head open.

The rest of the dogs started to panic and run in directions to follow someone- a headless run.

I snorted and ran with them also, but then I felt a pain in my shoulder. A bullet cut a deep wound into it.

I fell onto the ground whimpering of my wound. I whimpered more when I was abandoned in the wild.

I was now limping inside the forest. My shoulder was bleeding under my uniform where a hole was.
I kept limping when I finally fell to the ground near death.

Last thing I heard was barking in the distance. I couldn’t see what was coming. I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

I woke up inside a large room. There were all kinds of things lying on the table and on the bookshelves. I blinked my eyes to clear the vision. It was morning. Or at least the sun was rising above the horizon.

I noticed a bandage on my wound on my shoulder. My uniform was hanging lazily on a chair.

I shook my head to get back into the real world. My head was like a drum. It felt bad but soon it went over.

I smiled a bit seeing the room where I was in at the moment. “Good place…” I said quietly smiling. I saw two flies playing dive bombers near a sugar piece on the table.

Even though it was winter there could still be some flies inside houses.

I never actually knew what happened to me, but I hoped that everything was alright. My M.S.D.F collar was still around my neck. It made me smile a bit.

Never did I know where I was and what was going to happen to me…

Chapter: Two
Time: Morning Day unknown
Location: Unknown for now


I was still lying in my basket where I had been placed while I was in “Dream land” what we call it. In English: “unconsciousness”.

Man I hated that place already. Was it because of fear? Or was it something else? I really didn’t know why I was held here. I just hoped that I could get on my feet soon so that I could plan running away.

I got up with shivering legs at once almost losing my balance. As soon as I was on my feet steadily I smiled to myself. Flies were still playing dive bombers near the sugar piece. One of them flew and hit against the window trying to get out into the cold air.

As soon as the fly hit the window it flew back to the sugar piece. Its friend was already trying to eat the sugar upon its arrival. Soon they started fighting over the sugar piece.

I smiled for the boring view- at least it beat sleeping. My eyes scanned the whole room and I thought that it is a working room. Because of the messy desk and the diploma on the wall next to the door, the way definitely to escape.

I heard steps behind the door and then a key turning inside the lock. Soon it opened and a white-coated man walked in. His coat was a bit dirty. The rest of his clothes were clean.

I wondered what he might do for me if I’d try to run for the open door.

Soon I got up stretching myself when another human walked in. This time it was a woman. She placed two bowls near the basket that I had been occupying. Of course I knew that they could throw me out of their house whenever they wanted.

The first bowl contained food. It was some kind of mess of food what wasn’t sold in restaurants or something like that. I sniffed it feeling my hunger.

I learned in army that you should always eat as much as you can because if you don’t do so…you might suffer from hunger while others aren’t, and it feels bad. I started to eat it tasting the juicy meat, potato and some other delicious parts in there, especially when it was all in one bowl…

They watched me as I ate everything that they gave me. After that meal they gave me some bread and dry meat not knowing that a normal dog doesn’t eat that much what I eat. All is basic stuff from the army. After I was full…I lay down whimpering about my shoulder and then cleaning my paws with my tongue.

I then turned my eyes to see the water bowl that the woman had brought me as well. I drank the water lapping it softly into my mouth. I then rested my head on my paws when both humans left me all alone inside the room with the flies. I heard the door close and my ears perked and listened sharply.

”They didn’t lock the door!” I said almost shouting and got up limping up to the door and pushed it gently open. But it didn’t open.

I opened the door the same way as humans do, but I did it with my mouth. A smirk appeared on my face when I walked out to see a doctor talking with a man on the first floor.

I stopped when the man was waving his hands to describe the situation. I giggled a bit.

”…we need one dog...I don’t have any for use…I badly need one!” the man shouted. He was wearing a large jacked. He was ready for a cold trip, I noticed that.

”I’m sorry I don’t have any dogs…you have mine already running with you… Ain’t she enough?” the doctor asked and cleaned his glasses while the other man shook his head.

”No I need one dog more…there is nobody to use at the moment…you know I can’t make the team wait…we’re leaving schedule all the time!” the man shouted and sat down on a small chair near the front door.

”I’m sorry Mr…but I don’t have any dogs…except…I do have one…male…strong he at least is but there is one but…” the doctor said but before he could continue the man got up smiling and patted the doctor’s shoulder. “Get him on here! I take him for use as long as I can get new member for replacement!” he shouted and grabbed a leash from his pocket.

The doctor shook his head and heard me walking down the stairs. He turned to see me and pointed at me. “This is the dog…take him if you want,” the doctor said and cleaned his hands on his shirt and smiled a bit when the man leashed me up at once.

”Ok boy time to go for a run,” he said to me and checked my body. “Man he is strong…” the man said while we walked outside the house.

Cold air welcomed me with cold wind. I shivered a bit when I followed the man.

I saw a sled farther in front of a post office. There was a dog who seemed to be dark gold. Behind him was a darker red-and- white husky. Next to him was a big husky. I grinned of my first thought. Being fat in the army was an insult. Then female husky came into view. I didn’t pay attention to her.

I padded on the leash towards the team. Finally I realised what was waiting for me. One place on the sled team was empty.

”Oh god please, no,” I said under my lips. When the dogs finally noticed me, they stared at me for a while. One of them smiled.

”Finally we got one more dog so that we can run!” The darker red shouted and jumped a bit, the other ones only smiled. I tried to hide my M.S.D.F collar that causes a lot of troubles for me.

”Hey what’s your name?” One dog asked me when I was pulled nearer to the dogs. I still hid the tag on my collar wishing for the best.

”Well…umm…Rayne,” I said quietly while I was hooked to the sled. I felt leather against my fur and I swore that it made me feel bad…

”My name is Kirby…I’m the leader of this sled,” the dark golden husky said with a smile. I shivered in a disgusted way. Him? A leader? He didn’t seem to have seen the real leaders who had died for their country- this one was only something else.

I felt others giggling a bit to my embarrassment. “My name is Kodi,” a second dog said with a smile, “for short…” he added. “My name is Dusty and nice to meet you Rayne,” the female said.

I felt even worse when one of the dogs got curious of my collar that I had been hiding, holding my paw in front of it like I were saluting.

”What are you hiding?” One of the dogs asked when I held my sides. “Oh nothing just my shoulder…bit hurt…so this way…it doesn’t hurt so much,” I said and placed my paw onto the ground. For my luck silver plate was shining only weakly but enough that it hid the texture on it.


”Oh…” I heard Kirby say. He was thinking about something his eyes glancing at my collar.

The musher was loading the sled. I felt weak in my legs; I had never pulled a sled before in my whole lifetime. Even the Army didn’t train us for it. I wondered why…


”Are you alright?” I heard a female voice behind me. I turned to see the right wheel dog or whatever was behind me…she was the last dog for me. Her fur was black and white.

”Yeah…I’m fine,” I replied to her question quietly showing that I didn’t want to be bothered. I felt my heart beat faster. Now I’m in trouble…I thought inside my head and felt that my legs wanted to give up. On that moment I accidentally turned my head and chest so that the sun didn’t reflect off of the collar’s plate.

I didn’t notice it myself but heard gasps with my right ear.

I felt cold glances turned towards me when the sled dogs whispered a while with each other. At once I felt that I was left out. Each sled dog whispered to each other.

I didn’t hear any of their whispers but I thought that it wasn’t anything good for me.

”What?” I asked glancing at each of them for a while. I saw their friendly look was gone. It made my whole body shiver of a small fear.

”Nothing,” Kodi said, he then turned away from facing me. Others did the same. I felt bad.

Soon the musher shouted something and Kirby pulled me almost with the whole sled. I didn’t have any idea of sled commands…only those of the Military. I was an outsider of the sled team.

I whimpered from the speed almost stumbling on my feet. I growled of the speed the dogs took. I had no experience of being a sled dog how on earth could keep up with them?

I thought inside my head while I kept the speed with the dogs. It was kind of easy but the sled made it hard to pull.

”Can’t you hold up with us Mutt?” The left wheel dog asked and bit my tail. I growled for a warning. “Can’t you then?” I asked in a growl, but it disappeared fast because I knew that I was on thin ice.

”Hah! You’ll give up soon! I’m sure of it,” the dog said with a smirk. The others on the sled team laughed. “He ain’t worth it,” Dusty said in a giggle while she kept running. “He surely doesn’t know even what mush means,” she added. Everyone started laughing…

It was so obvious that I would face these sort of things when they knew what I am…

After a while the team was returning to Nome. We had only ran about four hours. It felt like hell for me.

I was a bit tired of the running like everyone else. But they weren’t trained as well as I was. Being a soldier I had good stamina so I didn’t give up easily.

Suddenly I felt ice under my legs. I started to run in place and then I fell onto the ground making the whole sled unstable.

I heard someone call me “idiot”, I hit the snow, and the dog running next to me hit me. I felt a pain when Dusty hit me and I heard a yelp from her.

Soon the sled hit the snow and everything was quiet for a while. I got up and got tangled into the sled’s harness. I saw others getting up also. Kirby checked everyone and when he arrived near Dusty he was shocked. “Dusty are you alright?” He asked nudging her leg that she held up.

I turned lazily to see what had happened to her. I knew that she had hit me badly.

”Urg…my leg…is hurt...” she whimpered softly when Kodi ran up to her and lowered his head to see her paw. “I’m ok really!” She said when she rolled onto her belly and tried to get up. She yelped and fell back to the ground. Kodi and one of the sled dogs I knew as Ralph turned towards me.
”Look what you did to her you clumsy idiot,” Kodi said growling lightly.

I backed up a bit. “What you mean?” I asked bit confused.

He didn’t answer. Rest of the dogs helped Dusty to her feet. Musher ran up to her and checked her leg. “Poor girl…” Musher said and grabbed Dusty in his hands. He carried her to the sled and let her rest there.

He hooked the dogs onto the line. Each of the dogs growled at me. Noone was hiding their anger.

”Hey listen…it’s only an accident!” I shouted not trying to catch up a fight where I could die easily taking only one or two with me…

I felt a growl still killing my soul the whole rest of the trip. No one answered to my words.

Soon we arrived back into the town. They first stopped in front of Vet’s place. There I slipped out of my harness and ran off in fear that the musher would have me put down.

I disappeared behind a corner seeing the Musher disappear with Dusty into the Vet’s place. Kodi followed with Kirby and Ralph. A female whose name I didn’t know ran with the remaining dogs into a building that I had no idea of what it was.

I whimpered about the wound on my shoulder. When I fell I had hurt it badly once again.

I sat down feeling ignored. I then started walking towards the building where the others had gone. I arrived near the door feeling warm air coming from there. It made me smile so much that I just pushed the door open, feeling a wave of warm air hit me.

I heard gasping when I walked in. The black-and-white female was there smirking at me. Soon one dog jumped onto the ground near me and growled.

”So… more soldiers here to take this town down again huh? ANSWER!” The dog shouted at me. I growled for self-defence and took a step back.

”What? What have I done?!” I shouted trying to get an answer from the others who were now growling at me because I had showed some threat.

”You tried to hurt Dusty!” The female said with a growl. “And you did hurt her…” A second dog said.

”For God’s sake! It was only an accident!” I shouted to protect myself. I didn’t want to reveal my secret that I hadn’t run before in my life.

I felt one jaw pair strike my neck. A second pair sunk into my chest when four dogs attacked me. Each of their bites hurt like hell and I felt their force.

They threw me against the boiler. I felt my skin burn against hot metal. I smelled burnt hairs- a smell that isn’t good. I got away from the boiler before I got burnt too badly.

I got up on shivering legs. “Enough fun to hurt me like this?” I asked in a painful grin. I felt when my body started dropping towards the ground when I finally fell.

I couldn’t get up so easily. Again I felt jaws on my neck and a second pair grabbing for my back. I soon rose a few inches from the ground and I was thrown out of the boiler room.

I felt cold snow against my fur. My back was burning and I rolled onto it to make it feel a bit better.

I heard laughing from the boiler room when I finally got up. My ears dropped and my tail did the same. I started limping sadly away from the boiler room. It was too cold for me. I couldn’t stay outside too long.

I didn’t want to freeze to death, so I disappeared behind a corner where I cuddled up against a barrel that was lying on its side. Inside it I got an old pillow and a ripped blanket.

I knew that it wasn’t enough for Cold Alaska’s nights…

Chapter: 3
Location: Nome, Alaska
Time: Night time unknown, 1928


I whimpered inside the barrel. The cold air was annoying. I couldn’t sleep at all.

Soon I realised that one dog can’t run, and the second might be back and I took the run perfectly for a green horn.

I wished I could avoid that, but inside my head I knew that it was a useless thing. There was no way I could avoid the sled run that was tomorrow.

My legs started to freeze and I couldn’t feel them anymore.

”Why? What have I done to them?” I asked letting one tear run down my cheek. I felt it dropping onto my paw where it froze.

I got up and walked out of the barrel shivering in the cold air. Even though I’m a husky, nights in Alaska aren’t so warm that you could just sleep outside. I bet that wolves were also shivering inside their dens.

I padded quietly along snowy streets feeling my legs regain their feeling. I smiled warmly seeing lights still on in houses.

I stopped near one house eyeing inside it. There was a man patting a dog. I even knew who the dog was. He was Ralph.

I continued walking down the streets feeling again the weird stare on my back. I turned to see- not seeing anyone near. I wished I could stop and be with my friends again…they were dead and I’m lost in Alaska.

My body felt heavier than usually because I was badly tired. I suddenly saw the boiler room again. This time I didn’t bother to go in there and got burnt badly again so I walked behind the Hospital. I sniffed around and noticed that no one was near me.

Soon I found a door that was keeping warm air into a room. I growled and checked the whole door’s construction and for my luck it was a kind of weak one.

I slapped the door and it opened for my luck. Someone had forgotten to lock it, I didn’t care, I only ran inside the room and found a nice small blanket and one dirty pillow for the night.

My stomach growled in hunger but I ignored it and lay down near the boiler that kept the hospital warm.

When I finally succeeded to settle down I heard voices coming towards the boiler room. I couldn’t recognize the voice but it soon disappeared in a word “bye”.

Thereafter I heard the door open suddenly.

I turned my head fast and my eyes found the black-and-white female in front of the door. At once a growl was directed towards me.

Because I was hungry and tired I let out the same kind of growl towards her. Her ears flattened down while I growled back at her but she kept growling at me also.

”What…are YOU doing in here?” she asked in a growl and walked inside the room. Her fur shined a bit in the light which came from the boiler.

I got up and faced her with a growl. “None of your business,” I snapped to her.

She let out a growl again and then turned walking away leaving me all alone inside the room. I sighed and closed the door with my paw knowing that if she gets more friends to back her up she will definitely throw me out from this warm and nice room…

I didn’t mind when I rested my head back on the pillow that I had now taken for my own. I smiled when I felt warm waves against my black-and-white fur. I eventually fell asleep.

I woke up in silence. It was early like I usually woke up, even I knew that I could sleep too long to skip the boring sled run. I wished that the Musher had a new dog on their team so they don’t need me.

I missed my uniform a bit that still might be hanging in the room where the doctor had taken me.

I got up and stretched myself then padded outside now wanting to eat something good remembering the good tasting meat pieces in my bags. Sadly those pieces are in my uniform’s bags which meant that I couldn’t get them now.

I heard barking and sighed. “Oh no…the sled race is today…and I do-“ I was interrupted by a strong hand that grabbed my collar. I almost yelped in surprise when I was pulled to the sled team. They hooked me up, at once I felt cold eyes staring at me.

”Errh…Good morning,” I said quietly to Kirby who snorted for an answer. Kodi was growling. “Dusty can’t run today because of you…she hurt her paw…that means that we have to stay with you so long that we can get a new member,” he said kind of rudely to me.

I swallowed, “OK guys listen me…it was only an accident…I hav-“ I was interrupted again. “Don’t try to lie to us Rayne…we know what you are and might know what your doing even in here!” Kodi shouted at me. I felt a long deep cut inside my heart.

”I’m serious! It was just an accident!” I tried to explain knowing that I was digging my own grave…this time not on front like usual.

”Yeah right…soldier,” I heard a sigh behind me. When I turned I saw the black-and-white female standing there. She was looking at me annoyed.

”Now…You stay quiet unless we need to say something to you! Understood?” Kirby suddenly said to me and forced me to turn towards him.

I nodded my head not even listening what he told to me. I felt that I was now going to pay my presence down here.

Cargo was loaded again. I felt leather harness around me and I can swear that uniform feels a lot better than that. Even my heart was ripped in pieces and my emotion was low I still showed my tough side.

Musher was ready once again. I could only wait the order to pull the sled, what ever it was even. I wished that I could at least be with my kind…with dogs who have been trained for a meat mill where I did belong.

”MUSH!” Musher shouted and I started to run with the others soon disappearing out from the town. With fast glance I saw old boat wreck and there was standing lone figure. I smirked but kept running.

My mind sunk on my thoughts. While I was on training I heard that my first masters home town…the town where I born was now only place of death…I have heard a story from it from a dog who was on there…and I can say it was hard…my mind only started to think that town…

Time: Unknown. Spring in 1928

Town named Antoria was burning badly from the artillery fire what was hard.

Every dog and man was on arms in there. Soldier’s rise their guns and shot towards the line where the fearless enemy was hiding.

The fight was over Central Plaza near second Bunker.

Young dog was whimpering inside a ditch what was made by grenade. He was young and just passed the training. He finally got up and looked the ground above him. Bullet at once almost cut his head in two pieces. He yelled and hides again inside the ditch.

He finally got up and jumped back on his own lines. He whimpered in pain when bullet scratched his back a bit. He hit on ground staring old looking dog who was Sgt from his rank. “Everything is out of control Jetz!” he whimpered feeling the fear claming inside him

”Don’t worry kid…we’re here to die for our land what is called also USA!” One really sarcastic dog mumbled from corner of collapsed building. The young dog whimpered and then looked on the distance seeing when again bullet almost cut his head. “SNIPER!” he yelled and jumped on ground.

One female husky’s ears perked up. “What someone wants?” she asked in a light laugh. Young dog was embarrassed. He was one of the brothers of Rayne. He became MIA in Antoria. He was trained fast and was only younger on field.

He got up and joined in rush what USA made towards SSWD line. On that moment he got hit by a bullet which one SS soldier shot.

He whimpered in pain hearing tracks rolling behind him. He turned his head to see US Water Tank rolling towards him. He closed his eyes when he felt his tail crushing first under the tank. “Someone help me PLEASE!” he shouted but rest of his voice end in watery yell when tank drove over him leaving only behind bloody flesh pile what was hard to recognize…

I wanted to smile but I couldn’t. While I ran I felt pain on my paws, we were going back towards Nome. Once again I almost fell on ground because of the ice, this time I didn’t.

I felt snow crunching under my legs while I ran. “OK boys were going to soon rest!” Kodi shouted and laughed while he ran.


I felt cold look on my back all the time. “Finally” I said smiling. “No one didn’t ask anything from you mutt” Ralph snapped while I said something.

I growled a while but felt also their growl.

Once we arrived in Nome Musher unhooked me. I at once tried to runaway, but musher grabbed from my collar and pulled me back. “Not going anywhere boy…relax” he said. I only swallowed deep.

”Oh no…don’t take him inside!” Kirby said staring me like I was something really annoying; well I was that for them anyway.

”What, I have done to you?!” I asked again trying to get something out. No one didn’t answer to me.

”Shut up mutt!” One of the sled dogs ordered and growled to me. Musher walked inside the cabin leaving dogs to stay outside a while.

Suddenly one of the sled dog’s attacked against me trying to reach my throat. He was idiot because he didn’t know that I protect my throat like hell. I felt his body slamming into mine and we both fell on ground rolling on there fighting.

”Get off!” I shouted and kicked him off from my body. He hit on ground growling and then he just attacked against me again. My only chance was to fight but then others joined in.

I felt their fangs rip my back and my neck also my sides. Sharp pain covered my body when I succeed to flee from their grip. I jumped out from there and ran away. I glanced behind me if someone was following. I only saw musher running to check the dogs and then his eyes on my back. I didn’t care… I ran again inside the barrel where I have been settled down once.

I lay down there whimpering my pain covered body. “They did it…why? What I have done to them?” I asked from myself almost crying.

I started to clean my paws and my body wounds. I knew my pain and have get use on it.

I still couldn’t understand why they did it. While I cleaned my wounds I heard steps. They were human’s steps.

I saw the Musher holding a cloth on his hand. He walked up to me slowly and pressed it against my wounds. I smiled when I let him do so.

He suddenly grabbed from my body and held me tight. “OK boy…take it easy…” he said and put a bag atop of my face so I couldn’t see or bite him. I tried but it was useless. Fighting against, he carried me on somewhere. I only heard laughing from side. “Good bye Soldier…your last trip…bye bye!”

He carried me still. I heard door banging behind me. It made me swallow deeply.

I felt my body now being lain down on a table, and then I heard talking. “So…what he did? Need just wound cleaning or…?”

First voice asked. “No…He attacked rudely against my dogs…they defended their selves…but I bring him for other thing…you know what…” Musher’s voice spoke up.

I heard some other words and then I suddenly succeed to take the bag away from my face. I saw man holding a needle on his hand. “NO!” I shouted and then got up from the grip of the musher. I kicked him on his stomach with my hind leg and suddenly jumped through window.

I felt more flesh wounds on my body when sharp glass ripped my body. I finally hit on ground and rolled on there to my feet’s. I then ran on the town disappearing from others view.

For my luck no one didn’t follow me.

I laid down on hospital’s boiler room now understanding that I’m not so welcome after all. I whined.

*Cut Down From Street Time Night, Nome*

Quiet dog was walking on streets. He growled once a while staring the windows. He stopped growling. Atop of him was mottled brown uniform.

He didn’t make sounds at all, soon he left his uniform and collar on hide and then padded down the streets searching something.

He saw boiler room and smiled on the view of it, and padded inside it. Dogs were just talking from Rayne at the moment in there.

”You think his dead?” Kirby asked from Dusty who has get out from hospital, she couldn’t walk so well but she can be down on streets.

”Why he would be?” Dusty asked.

”We saw musher taking him on vet’s place…so I think he’s dead” Kodi said and snorted.

”Oh c’mon guys…he was just one soldier…do we need one?” Ralph asked, others laughed.

Suddenly the door opened and interrupted the laughing. Gold White husky walked in. His eyes were shining a bit when he sat down. “Hi guys I’m a newbie on here…so…could someone help me a bit?” he asked and smirked.

One female who was smiling to him jumped down and walked up to the dog. “I can” she said softly and pointed her nose outside. “OK thank you” dog said and nodded his head.

They both walked out. “So…who was that guy?” Kirby asked, he was like left behind.

”One dog just wanted to find himself on home…” Kodi said quietly and licked his paw.

Dog was walking with the female. “So…what’s your name?” she asked from him. Dog gave short glance on her. “You know…? I just don’t like so much from questions…” dog said and suddenly he walked inside small storage room. Female padded behind him confused.

”Errh…the right way is on that direction…not in here” she said giggling. Dog only pointed her to come and see something. “What you see on this water barrel?” he asked.

She walked and looked on the water barrel. “Errhh…I can’t see anything” she said.

”I see something…” Dog said smiling weakly staring her.

”What do you see?” she asked and looked deeper on the water while dog walked behind her.

”Death” Dog said and suddenly he pushed her on the water barrel so that she couldn’t come out from the water at all. He smiled weakly.

”Poor girl…” he added while he holds her struggling body still on the water. Her tail was only thing what came out from the water.

He heard desperate shouts of help under the water.

Soon body stopped struggling. “Done what is done” Husky said smirking and then pulled her out from the water and threw her on street near frozen barrel. “Let’s see what others like from this thing” he added and then disappeared on shadows laughing evilly.

Chapter: Four.
Time: Still Date is Unknown, winter 1928

Location: Nome, Alaska

I woke up inside hospital boiler room, well I heard something what came near. Of course I ran to see what was going on.

When I ran out I only saw frozen dead female husky. Cold shiver ran through my spine while I stared the death dog. I felt bad at the moment.

”And of course I’m getting blames.” I said quietly to myself when I then heard scratching near me. I took a look on corner and saw when black and white female husky walked out from there. She saw me with the body and her eyes froze.

She stood there staring me like eight wonder.

”YOU!” She shouted to me. I felt cold shout running through my body. I shivered in fear also cold air.

”What? I didn’t do this!” I defended but before I could react she was on her way towards boiler room.

”Now devil is unleashed!” I shouted to myself and sat down. Ears pulled down against my skull…

I only take off by running only thing on my mind: To get away as soon as possible.

I felt suddenly something under my legs and I tripped on ground growling my idiotic run.

I turned to see sharp wire around my legs, it have been thrown in recycle.

I growled while I got up once again and kept running hearing something behind me. I wished in the name of god that I won’t die in this town. Everywhere I went I heard sounds.

I was near panic and felt sadness rushing through my body. Suddenly I saw two figures standing in front of me. Both of them were growling. “You come with us” second of the dogs said to me. I sniffed and shake my head.

”I didn’t do it” I explained weakly when I felt someone grabbing from my scruff.

I whimpered against but soon joined with them walking between those two dogs. Both of them were strong looking and selfish ones. In reality I knew they were just arrogant towards me because I’m only normal Scout / Messenger Soldier.

I was dragged inside boiler room where they threw me on ground middle of everyone. They formed a circle around me few ones growling. I felt fear at once when I saw their blood hungry faces; I didn’t want to make up a fight so I held my tail and ears low.

”So…we have been gathered on here for one thing…a murder has happen in this town today…earlier” one old Bernard said slowly. Gasps filled the air and glances turned towards me…

”What? Do you guys think that I did kill someone? Nooo I didn’t do anything like that” I refused feeling still the painful look of others. My soul shivered in fear. I didn’t do it but they don’t believe me…
I tried to think out something. I saw the Black and white female husky smiling to me. Or more it was smirk.

I felt bad when I got hit by a paw on my back so that I almost fell on ground.


Kodi gave that to me. Dusty was growling with him. “What?” I asked they didn’t answer to me. I felt that I want to runaway or die…first option sounded better.

I stared around like trying to find help near by, I knew it was useless trying to find help from dogs who blames wrong dog.

I knew I haven’t done anything wrong but I wished that I have could know who did that murder.

Suddenly door banged open and one wounded husky limped in. His gold white fur was having cuts and they were bleeding badly.

As in fear I at once knew what this husky was going to say. He was going to blame me at once, am I right or wrong? I swore to myself that if he blames me I’ll definitely murder him. I hate when MSDF is getting disliked by others.

Husky stared me and some others before he fell on ground. I smirked a bit to this dog.

Soon I heard when dogs run up to this husky. “Who did this to you?” one dog asked from the husky who whimpered. I saw Husky staring me a while.

”Someone with black and white fur…it was definitely male!” husky shouted. I rolled my eyes because I knew who their going to blame at once.

Other dogs turned towards me growling loudly, I turned towards them moving towards boiler feeling the warm air on my back soon starting to burn the older one.

”So…with this husky’s words…you’re the one who murdered female and hurt badly this husky leaving him to die and for some parts…you have cleaned the blood off and then wiped the water also off…” one dog explained simply to me. Why he knew so much about MSDF tricks? This husky who told those words was weir…definitely weird.

I felt like everyone’s glance made hole on my body. I couldn’t protect myself well…I’m too badly outnumbered.

Huskies growled to me and I tried to do same to them. I was already outcast of the town.

I gave up in a sigh. “If you so much blame me GO AHEAD!” I shouted with my whole voice. “Kill me then!” I added in growl preparing to fight in a way what was too bad to me. I already felt several cuts and bites sinking on my black white fur. I lowered my head revealing my neck so that someone can just broke it down. I wanted that now so much…to get away from a town where I have nothing to do expect stay there and wait until someone comes and saves my butt.

”So…He admit it…the one who done those crimes “Ralph said proudly like he was just found out who is the murderer by himself.

”Go ahead and kill innocents” I said in growl finally feeling enough strength to fight against them. I knew that they will beat me in a word war anyway because none was helping me in it.

I felt when hot metal touched my hind leg and I moved a bit forward from it.

Soon Husky spoke up when he limped in front of me. “You bastard…you murdering rat” he cursed to me when his face almost hit on mine.

I stared his cold blue eyes seeing view of want of murder. I saw also scars on his muzzle; they were covered by the fur, only some small lines were able to see.

I shivered when I felt his breath when I saw his fangs my body freeze. His fangs were really sharp ones...

He growled to me baring his teeth’s to me. I done same to him and also noticed that he was a bit stronger and bigger than I was, I felt fear run down on my spine.

His body was strong from some parts, also I saw wound what usual comes when wears uniform wrong way. The wound was exactly same looking. It made me think.

”Now he wants to die so we’ll give him to chance to die” one husky from corner spoke up. Everyone approached me a bit.

I this time hit against wall when one husky threw me on it. I whimpered in pain and this time I saw my chance to take off. The path to door was clear. I smirked and then suddenly got up faster than others could react and ran pass the guards of the door Crushing against door then hitting on snow.

I run as fast from that place succeeding to disappear on shadows and clean my smell tracks.

I somehow just succeed to lose the trail for those who left to hunt me. I knew that I was on deep and thin ice.

Finally I rushed inside the hospital room where I have settled down. I’m so sure that everyone will check it out so I build up small hide place for me. The small hole what leads under the hospital was making excellent place to hide was small box where I could fit in easily.

I soon find myself inside the box in perfect timing when door on the room banged open and growling was easy to hear.

”Now is this place clear?” one voice asked from another. Female answered “I’m sure this is clean…but I’ll check it you can go” she said softly and I heard someone padding away.

My body struggled in pain because the bad position where I was at the moment.

Steps came towards me. I started to go in panic, I felt warm waves rushing through my body. I wanted to jump I wanted to pin the attacker before she will do it to me.

I felt someone leaning on the box and then heard a sigh. I wished it could be over soon. Dog suddenly patted the box hearing that it was hollow.

Now I went into panic, I needed to get out. Suddenly my cover was busted by a black and white female Husky. I didn’t think, I become a drooling beast when I leaped from my hide and hit on her.

She fell on ground under my body and yelled in pain, before she could yell help I blocked her mouth and bite down on her throat showing that I was serious.

I didn’t beat too deep to taste her blood, only her fur, ahh the soft fur what I felt under my body felt good.

I let her throat go and unblocked her muzzle. She was quiet and her eyes stared me like I was a monster. She didn’t say anything to me. Her smile was vanished anyway.

She stared me scared. “You…Rayne…please…don’t hurt me” she pleaded and I wished that I could growl to her.

”Why shouldn’t I do that?” I asked ironically and growled I almost sunk my fangs in her flesh. She almost screamed. “You made me bad…you told that I murdered someone…because of you I’m hunted like animal…because of you I’m now hiding and soon going to leave the town!” I shouted to her in large growl. I could see in her eyes that she was sorry.

”I…I’m sorry…” she said. “You’re just…the murderer….” she added.

”I-did-not-murder-her!” I said to her in growl. She nodded her head in fear. “Okay okay! I believe now…” she said in fear. I could see it again in her eyes when her eyes started to get wet.

I couldn’t stand to watch her almost crying. I admitted that she was kind of beautiful looking when she was almost crying. My only chance was to hold her inside this place for sure…


”By the way…you never told you’re name to me” I suddenly said. She sniffed and looked me.

”My…name is…May…” she said quietly when I watched her fur. I could feel smile. “May…” I tasted the word, I could first say that her name was kind of nice but I didn’t.

”Yeah” she said while she swallowed.

”Don’t be afraid…I won’t hurt you like you and your friends hurt me” I explained to her suddenly she pushed me off and growled to me. I hit on ground while she got up, soon I moved back on my feet’s facing her in growl.

I heard bang and something drop on ground. I looked it and saw that some of construction of the hospital under world was collapsed blocking the way out.

I growled. “Now what…we’re stuck in here” I said quietly and felt suddenly impact against my body and I hit on ground feeling May’s fangs on my throat. I reacted and kicked her off getting up same time and leaped on her, she avoided and rolled on side and getting up she hit on my body and we both fell on ground fighting against each others. She bit hard on me I didn’t.

Soon I felt blood trickle down on my side. She has cut wound on my face, it was located under my right eye. I growled but didn’t do anything to her, she noticed that soon and finally pinned me on ground growling. “Why you don’t defend yourself?!” she asked biting down on my throat. I didn’t this time do anything.

”I don’t want to fight against innocents…I’m not those who kills for defend…I thought you could know…if I’m the murderer I could kill you…which I’m not I haven’t kill you” I told her calmly.

May stopped biting me and looked me growling, then she got up and walked to see can she get out, she saw only wall in front of her and no way out.

I smiled only. “No way out…just calm down” I told her feeling that I made wrong move. She sighed and lay down as far as possible from me. Curious grew inside me.

May growled and relaxed, because she was as far from me as she can. “So…do you have a mate?” I asked in curiousness she growled to me louder.

”Why do you ask SOLDIER? You thought to rape me or do something to me aren’t you?” she asked growling to me. I smirked.

”Ma’am if I’ll do that you’d dead by now” I explained to her in smirk and then I sighed.

”Alright you’re the man” May said to me in a sigh. I watched her black fur. She was like a copy from me, but I wasn’t so sure. “May…is your fathers name…Jack?” I asked softly, she growled again to me. “No his name wasn’t “Jack” who ever he is…My mother’s name is…-“she stopped like she was going to tell something to me.

”Mother’s name is…what?” I asked in curious. she growled to me for answer

”None of your business soldier” she said and snorted to me. We’re both stuck in this place and she was acting towards me like that…

”My mothers name was Luna” I told quietly, she snorted for answer.

”Well none of your business STILL!” she shouted.

”Then why you want to talk with me then?” I asked. She growled louder. “Because you’re talking to me!” she said.

”Well you can always ignore” I said to her growling. She went quiet.

”Nothing to talk” she said quietly and sighed. I snorted.

”Why do you hate workers like I am?” I suddenly asked, she growled not wanting to talk, but she said something. “Your friends have murderer my friends” she said in low tone.

”Hey listen my all friends are dead my family sold me and I-“She cut me off. “”hey I’m not interested to hear your boring stories about your life ok? I have my own problems with them” she said quietly snapping.

I sighed, now being locked inside a place with a dog who hates me more than anything in world.

”OK fine then be like your kind of angry and merciless” I snapped and rolled on my side showing back to her.

I felt tear running down on my cheek. I felt too sad on that moment. I sobbed softly and quietly… myself into dream…

Dog smirked seeing when others went on hunt. He relaxed inside boiler room smiling. “Mission accomplished” he said softly to himself.

May turned to watch Rayne hearing his sobbing. She smiled weakly knowing now how bad he was feeling.

She opened her mouth to say something but she didn’t. She went quiet.

Other dogs still were searching Rayne…they couldn’t find him…

Chapter: 5
Location: Under hospital
Time: Still unknown Winter, 1928

I smiled weakly when I woke up in night, I heard chewing and saw that May was trying to get out, under the hospital. Her mouth was bleeding a bit from wounds she got while she tried to rip wood off blocking her path.

”Hey C’mon…it won’t give up” I said quietly to calm her, she snorted and sighed and turned towards me holding her mouth open letting blood to trip away from there.

I stared her fur what were stained some blood. She lay down and sighed again.

Her eyes showed sadness being locked with me under hospital. She was going to bark help. “Please…don’t do that…” I said pealing she looked me like idiot.

”Oh…I’m sorry…I forget that…” she said quietly and lowered her head. She wasn’t so bad after all, only tough from her heart that’s all, well I thought so at least, I’m never sure what sort of girl she is.

”May…?” I started; she looked me and nodded her head then looked ground starting to stare it.

”How did you end up in this town?” She asked suddenly from me. I went bit quiet from her sudden question. Felt just weird that someone who hates me more than anything suddenly asks that sort of question.

”Well…” I started now knowing that I need to tell long story “It’s a long story” I said quietly, she frowned.

”I have time to wait…” she said quietly. “Can’t go anywhere anyways” she added and now making weak smile to me. At least something warmed my heart.

”Well…I born in one town and there I get sold to another family and they moved in Nenana…then they just left me on there when they got ‘baby’ and I stayed there…when I was having no other chance I joined in army…get a chance so I took it” I explained to her in short version. She looked me in small shock.

”Just left you…? Just left you like old sock?” she asked shock in her face. I nodded for answer.

May looked ground and nodded. “Well…mine isn’t so…bad…I just moved here from some town and now living here free…my owner barley looks after me so I’m doing well…he feeds me and take me on walk and I got job to do being sled dog, and many other things…” she said in small smile to me. I listened her story, of course it was first story what I can hear from a dog who ain’t a soldier.

”Well…you thought to continue your life…with someone?” I asked in small embarrassment. She frowned to me before she was going to tell anything.

”I have thought…but there is no one…good looking…tough…also emotional…nice and kind…funny…and those things…also ready for everything” she explained. Her wishes were kind of hard ones, but some soldiers could be that kind but I stopped thinking soldiers. It made me shiver.

I let out small smile. “Thank you” I said quietly. She looked me confused.

”Why you thank me for?” she asked curious in her eyes. I made contact on those eyes she made also on mine. We stared a while each others before I spoke up. “Well you’re the first one who tells me something about yourself” I explained letting out weak embarrassed smile.

She giggled. “Well your also first YOUR kind of worker who tells me yours…just can’t believe that you was just left…” she said quietly.

”You should hear others…from my old team…I just…can’t believe how cruel ones their pastes are…many of them have lost their families for wolves, SSWD and to humans…Few ones were left out in wild to die…many sort of ones…” I explained. Then woke up question: “how I earth I get in this town at first place?”

I looked her.

”How I did get into this town? When I passed out in wild because my wound…I just woke then inside vet’s place…” I said quietly, she frowned a bit.

”Well…the team where I belong…just came on that moment. We didn’t see what you was…musher picked you up and get you on hospital…that’s all” she said and looked on other way.

”I’m also sorry…that I have acted rudely towards you…your soldier…” she suddenly said quietly.

I smiled this time warmly. “You’re the first one who apologizes that sort of cases…and I’m grateful from it…and it’s ok…every soldier isn’t evil one…we’re just dogs who done what their ordered to do…and trained…like Sled dogs…but in different missions” I told her, she smiled to me back.

Her lip was bleeding a bit, she licked her blood off from the lip. Then just nodded looking her wounded paw what she hurt while she tried to get away from this room, I’m sure from it that wound came because of that.

She licked it softly I stared farer now searching a way to escape from there. I was now sure that I have now one friend at least.

”Are you hurt badly?” I asked because I was mostly dumb. I always asked that same question in field when one dog almost died in grenade.

She looked me a while with her blue eyes. I didn’t look back to make eye contact.

”Well…I can’t say this so bad…” she said and then cocked her head a bit.

I felt again dumb and I looked the blocked path walking onto it. I sniffed it carefully like in fear that it will bite.

May giggle to my sniffing, she first time did that so that I can hear it, usual I only hear snorts and feel bites from other dogs who aren’t MSDF forces.

I ignored her giggling and soon bit down on the wood what has collapsed on ground. It was too heavy for me. Also she tried to help me after while, we both tried to pull the wood collapsed wood off but it didn’t come and small part broke on it. We two hit on ground; I felt impact on my stomach and chest when she dropped atop of me.

”Upps…sorry” she said and got up fast and shook her fur. I lay still on ground before I finally got up and shook my fur also. I exam the damage we caused. There was only small piece off.

”Well we can’t get out that way” I said shortly and walked circle, I saw light coming from hospital from holes on the floor.

I saw suddenly something.

Soon I walked towards it and saw that there was no protection. I smirked. “Looks like we got a hole to freedom” I said quietly and then pushed my head through the hatch what was open. It was storage room where the hole was.

Soon I jumped on hospital room. She walked under the hole and looked at me. “Be careful…” she said softly. First time I hear that sort of words from dog who hates me that much. It seemed that she didn’t hate me that much anymore. Well I think she will stab my back at once when she’s off from that place.

I pushed the door open seeing that path was clear for me. Quiet steps I approached the check up place. I heard man snoring behind door when I finally saw the door to outside.

It went kind of hard. I was in check up room where usual people waits to be chosen to see doctor.

Door opened and man with two kids walked in. I saw my chance….

I ran and almost fell the man when I passed him so fast. He shouted curses after me when I disappeared on street.

I found troubles when I hit one dog who was searching me. “Hey! You’re the guy who we need to find!” he shouted to me. I swallowed and saw that only chance was to knock him off and fast…

I leaped on him and pinned him on ground. Soon I pushed confused dog on his belly and slapped his head with all my powers what I have. He yelped but then he was knocked out.

I ran back on the hospital boiler room and noticed that the door was open; I walked in noticing that I was all alone. Soon I walked on the hole what I used to get under hospital. It was collapsed.

Soon I felt my teeth’s ripping the wood off from the collapsed construction. It gave up and I fell on ground whimpering under the wood what I ripped off.

May’s head popped out from the hole what I cleared. She walked in and helped me up. “Thanks…now...your still…here and…you know what will happen to you anyway…” she said quietly bit worriedly.

I smiled. “No mind…I always will find out to-“ my words were interrupted by someone’s noises near the door. Three dogs walked in from the door growling to me.

May didn’t move, I stood like statue when I was busted at once. No escape on that moment I’m all alone.

”OK rat…you follow us…” Kodi said he was the first one snarling to me. I lowered my ears and followed them back towards the boiler room…

*Cut from somewhere*

Gold white husky smirked while he walked. He was now on boiler room. Two other figures were standing there also.

”Herr General?” Dog asked shyly when another Golden white husky walked out from the shadows. His face didn’t show any mercy and his brown mottled uniform was covering his body.

”Gut…your late” he said coldly in German accent to dog who didn’t use German accent.

”I’m sorry herr general…I was with the other dogs…we have problems…here is one M.S.D.F dog…” dog explained and sighed. General laughed. “You dummkopf…can’t take one dog out? Kill him or some others…” he commanded. Dog gasped “That wasn’t my job! Ronald please?” dog called out.

Ronald smirked. “You do what you have to do…kill or stay alive…Not my problem who will die…just this operation is important…you need to learn that as basic one” he said quietly.

”I do resist that slaughter also…but there is no other way to complete it…if MSDF dog is dead… here is no reinforcements…and if here is no reinforcements here is no those bloody MSDF dogs…and we can carry messages out without getting noticed…by the others…post office have now few letters…important ones…the guard of it…well” Ronald looked his two team mates who looked ground where was lying badly ripped dog, dog’s body was opened from throat and from sides. Blood was covered dog’s fur completely.

”I…I understand herr General” Dog said quietly and then ran behind streets.

Ronald smiled. “We’ll have duties because those…bastards…” He said quietly and then started to walk and disappeared on streets with the two other dogs who were his body guards.

Dog whimpered while he walked, his quiet walking didn’t make anything what could been call threat.

He soon arrived to boiler room seeing Rayne inside there with the others. Large discussion was inside the room.

”So Rayne…what you will say for defence? You ran off and that makes you guilty” one dog judged. Rayne moved against wall.

It made dog smile and giggle. Now he was sure that Rayne was going to be banished from this town.

May suddenly joined in the talk growling. “He didn’t do it! I believe him…he couldn’t do that…he was inside hospital while that murder happened the body was frozen already when he found the dead female…” she said. He could see Rayne’s surprise when May defended him.

She soon walked out several words of gasps following. This time dog was sure what to do. He followed her out.

He growled lightly while he followed May. She was walking towards her home, suddenly someone leaped on her back. Even dog got shock “Grand what the heck you’re doing here?” dog asked seeing the dog biting and wounding May who got surprised totally.

She was finally thrown into wall and she drop on ground, in unconscious. Grand smirked. “I’m here by orders from my leader…order to help you for our…mission” Dog said. “Hans…We will do what ever it takes to get through this mission…if it works…one Division will get into trap, we will get rid of them and then do another to second division” Grand said growling. Both of them smirked and then laughed they were so sure that May won’t survive from her wounds…there were too much of them…


Conversation was heard by one dog. He was shivering in fear when he heard those words what dogs told to each others…

Another surprise…

Chapter: Six.

Location: Nome, Alaska

I was held still inside the boiler room because others didn’t let me go.

Suddenly one panting husky crashed through door. He hit on ground panting while others attention turned onto him. Husky’s yellow white fur was bit dirty because he has fallen on ground while he was coming towards boiler room.

”What’s wrong?” One husky from corner asked and walked up to the exhausted dog and nudged his muzzle.

”They…murderers…” Dog mumbled in fear. I looked outside from the room and suddenly I felt bad and I started to run as fast as I can, I ran faster and passed the door guard by surprise.

I panted while this running, I was doing it with my all strength now hearing others barking behind me. I ran on valley easily distracting them.

Soon I felt my legs wanting to give up but I ignored the large pain in them. Soon I saw blood stained on wall. Under it was laying wounded black and white husky. I recognized the female husky as May…

”May!” I shouted running up to her. My body got stained by her blood when I lay down atop of her. She whimpered as my weight was settled down atop of her.

I knew that it was the only chance…I started to lick her wounds softly. At least now I was having a proof that I was innocent. The one husky…he was now my eyewitness.

She whimpered every time my tongue touched her wounded body; she soon let me lick not avoiding that. Other dogs catch me up growling to me at once.

They saw me lying atop of May cleaning her wounds. They thought at once that I have done that to her…if they thought that…they were wrong…

”Get off from her murderer!” one of the dogs commanded me. I growled for answer. “She is my friend and I didn’t do this to her! She would have defended and I’d have wounds but I don’t have any!” I said on answer and protected her limp form. I soon gave up to them and moved aside letting them to take her onto vets.

Before she disappeared she flashed small smile to me. I smiled to her back…wishing that she was still my friend…

Soon I felt floor against me again, I kissed it softly. Nobody inside the boiler room notice it.

I heard sounds behind me and all around. “So…with this dog’s words…we think you’re innocent” Kirby said to me. It made me smile a bit.

”But we can’t believe on him…he might be scared by something…what isn’t true...but…you said your good friend with May? Is that true?” Kirby asked from me. I swallowed and held my blushing. “Well…she’s kind of my friend…we at least talked a bit and so on…” I explained some laughing was heard around me.

”No worry from it…Rayne…you’ll now…still suspected…because we have faced this sort of problems before…those dogs might be your kind…so your still held as prisoner…don’t worry from May…she’s in good hands in vets place…so no need to worry” Those words hit on my soul and made me smile. I relaxed and looked others still feeling the cold sharp looks on my back and all around.

I was lead inside small cage. It was rusty and standing on corner of the boiler room. I moved inside it and laid down whimpering the destiny of others. What was happening in here anyway? I asked from myself. Never getting answer on it…

They closed the cage door. But something catches my nose. I sniffed the floor finding out something strange…there was old hair of another husky. I shivered that it might be old murderer but never so sure about it…

As soon as I was released from the cage I ran out with two guards who guarded me and others. I didn’t like them but I was forced to move with them. I never knew where I was going.

Soon we arrived in front of the hospital. Two of the dogs moved in there. I was soon going to follow but I didn’t. I was scared of vets.

Always when I talk with my friends in the army they told me from vet cases…they were nasty ones… Dogs were murdered without reason in vet’s places. I didn’t enjoy from those words.

I saw something in streets I saw someone moving in there. I started to move towards the moving creature. I wasn’t sure was it dog, coyote, wolf, fox what ever it is it made me feel bad.

Soon I reached on the valley where the creature disappeared. I stared in there soon seeing someone in front of me.

It was a male husky. I recognized his white uniform where was some dirt. His orange white fur was soft looking and clean. He was wearing also collar. On there was a star looking object in it. I know that every dog who has been in Antoria was wearing that kind of mark on their collar.

He was MSDF kind of soldier. But different looking marks on his uniform. Then I knew what he is. He is Special Commando Dog Force’s dog.

His still young looking face was in small smile. He was near 4 for sure I thought, but he was still tough looking…like stone.

He soon heard voices coming. They came behind me. I turned to see them and saw my guards calling me and running towards me. I sighed and slowly turned to see the husky who was disappeared from that place. I saw tracks leading on streets.

Soon guards catch me up and they pushed me to follow them. Even I refused they threw me inside vet’s home. I sat down growling feeling bad. I didn’t enjoy the surroundings at all.

Inside the room were chairs for those who were waiting their pets to come back and to wait their turn.

I also noticed tables around where were some flowers and some magazines. Some of them were only news magazines. Red carpet was soft I was sitting on it. It felt at least better than cold floor under my butt. Well I was going to sit on there.

Soon door opened and vet walked out cleaning his bloody hands on a cloth, his white working suit was bloody. I shivered hoping that May was alright. I walked inside the room slowly avoiding the vet.

I saw her lying on table. Her wounds were covered with bandages and her body was like mummy.

”May?” I asked quietly while I jumped on the table where she was lying. I lay down next to her. Atop of her was blanket what felt soft against my body.

I couldn’t hold tears what ran down on my cheeks. I wanted to revenge this to dogs who done this to her.

”Who…?” she asked weakly. I smiled and rest my head on her side. “It’s me Rayne” I answered quietly on her request. I felt when May tried to move but she couldn’t.

”Are you alright?” I asked knowing that it was kind of stupid question…

”I’m…fine” she said weakly and moved closer to me a bit. I felt her fur coming against mine from some parts where the blanket wasn’t.

I pulled the blanket over her and leaved her there to sleep. She was in sleep already.

I smiled blankly to her and then jumped away from the table just when vet came to see her. I just walked out with the two guards. They both were on their guards, they checked my ever move I made. I felt like I was some sort of criminal like I was for them…

I sighed while I walked with those dogs. Soon hearing stumbling sounds, also heard barking and fighting sounds. My two guards perked their ears up and stepped towards the valley where the sounds came.

”Should we go and check?” second of them asked. I smiled when I noticed that he was afraid to go and see what there was.

”Go and check” first snapped and then started to walk towards the sounds. Second was taking care from me. It was ultimate chance to knock him out and then runaway. Easy as a pie to complete but I don’t do it.

But I didn’t, I’m in deep situation already why to make it even worse? Well I didn’t make it any worse than this.

I soon heard a gasp and then running feet’s and falling bin lade. I ran to see what has happen and I saw one dog lying on ground deep wounds on his throat and on his neck. His body was ripped from belly also. His face was looking like a pancake because he has been hit on his muzzle several times. Also wall was stained from his blood where his face has been hit.

I almost vomited seeing that sort of mess. It has been done by a specialist and not by a normal dog. Dog’s skull could be broken also but I wasn’t sure. I thought that I won’t touch on his body.

Then I saw shining lightings on ground. It was a small mark where was two thunders connected on each others, behind the mark was large looking W letter and it was middle of large D letter. It was a beautiful mark, not so ugly but that mark made me shiver.

”What is this?” one of the guards asked and picked up the mark on his mouth. He put it on small wood table that was without legs. He placed the mark on it. “I can tell you what it is” I told to them quietly.

Dogs stared me their mouth’s open. They watched the body and growled. “No need to know what that piece is but I’m going to take you back into boiler room” husky snapped and soon he pushed me to walk.

They kept pushing me forwards. I shivered from every push they made.

Soon I was again inside the boiler room. Dogs stared me deadly once again. I saw familiar dog again in there. The same who made me freak out, the one who wanted to execute me.

He smirked deadly to me. I wanted to know his name…I really wanted to know this dog’s name. He was so weird that it remained me from SS dog. Also the acting way he used…was kind of wanting to get rid of me.

”There have been another murder…this time a dog who we don’t know…he seem to be new around…his body was complete mess…his face was like blood pile and his belly was ripped open a bit, his one leg was broken…his body was having other damage also” one of the guards reported. I sighed again hearing those wounds.

”Oh please…” I started. Others stared me like I was dead meat already. I went quiet and settled down on corner still being watched by guards…

*Cut Place*

Hans watched Rayne. He growled softly and then walked out from the boiler room after he was locked inside a cage. He padded quietly soon seeing some dogs gathered around something. He ran to see what because his curious took over him.

He almost vomited when he saw his own team mate lying on ground in his own blood pound ripped from several places. He thought that was it was executes but it surely wasn’t.

”Who have done this?” Hans asked in soft growl of anger, he frowned and then walked off near his team mate who was ripped apart.

He growled and disappeared on side streets. He stopped to take eat from small trash can and ate something good from there.

He growled while the food ends inside the can. He growled and walked awhile soon eyeing something in front of him. He let out small growl walking towards the stranger. “Who are you?” He asked growling. “Show yourself!” he commanded and stepped backwards.

Dog walked out wearing white uniform. Hans felt his body froze up when he saw that dog. He couldn’t do anything else expect yell when dog leaped on him. Soon desperate battle ended up into blood shed. Blood stained on ground while dying Hans yelled before the yell disappeared into watery growl…

Dog who had done the murder looked the SS dog and smiled weakly. “One down…few to go” he said and sighed then walking on the street growling quietly to himself…

He disappeared on side streets after he checked old boat wreck smirked. “Hero is off from the days…on a run where he won’t come that fast…with some others…” he snorted softly. “Only one who gave small sympathy for us…” he added and smiled. Star on his collar was shining weakly. There was large A letter. His Orange white fur was shining weakly on moon light. His white uniform was stained from blood and from dirt…dog ignored and disappeared on streets…

For the Glorious General…


Last night was weird for me…I woke up inside cage and of course I had threaten feeling from the situation. It made me shiver in small fear.

”Why is everyone acting like that?” I asked from myself feeling idiotic feeling inside me.

Soon one dog woke up he was guard for me padded up to me and smiled a bit. “Can mister hold his mouth shut?” he asked in arrogant accent and growled.

I stared him like I have just heard that I’m a father. “What the hell is wrong with you?” I asked from the husky who looked over his shoulder, and then he looked back to me.

I stared him my jaws dropped because of the collar he was wearing. It was brown collar where was strong Silver metal plate, his eyes were cold ones. I felt again shiver rushing through my mind. “W-who are you?” I asked from him suddenly.

Dog growled baring his sharp fangs, either way his claws were also sharp looking and his body was tough one.

His muscles were quite large ones, also his legs were strong. Then I get it, he wasn’t normal sled dog. He wasn’t sled dog at all…he was a soldier…his body busted him for me…

He saw my shock and he smirked for it. “Surprised…MSDF?” dog asked in large smirk

I saw his fur, golden white one also small scar running down on his leg. It wasn’t made by animal…it was made by bayonet that humans use in their rifles…

”So rat… what are your last words?” Dog asked in growl while he walked up near the cage. I got up growling to him. He growled me back. I saw his collar but didn’t get the name that was reading on it.

He also saw my glances on his collar. “Not a MSDF crap collars...is it? No name in it because we’re better ones in all ways” soldier said now baring his teeth’s again into large grin ready to bite my skull down. I backed away knowing that if he makes the mistake I’m waiting, his going to be dead.

He growled and saw my movements. “You think I’m going to open that cage?” he asked in grin and then walked a bit then grabbing from ground a stick.

”You know these toys?” he asked dropping it ground near me so that I can’t reach on it. “You know what will happen if pin disappears?” he asked in growl and smiled after that…

My heart skipped a beat when he pulled the pin off and spit it on somewhere where it made glinck sound.

”Have funny time” he said and ran off.

”You Bastard!” I shouted after him then eyeing the grenade. I rushed on the cage door seeing it give up. Faster I made large punch on it and it opened. I was just going to run when behind me suddenly exploded…

*Cut Scent*

Hans smirked when he heard the explosion and saw some boxes dropping on ground because the grenade damaged them a bit. He smirked even more. “His dead” he said in quiet accent and then disappeared on streets.

All around Nome some peoples woke on the explosion of the grenade. Some just ran towards the area hoping the best. The boiler room was nearly in flames, when man’s made inside it they started to exhaust the flames with blankets and with snow.

Kodi, Kirby, Dusty and some others ran to see what has happen. “Oh dear lord…” Kirby mumbled. Ralph ran suddenly from streets and stopped panting. “That happened…earlier…” he said through pants.

Dusty sighed with Kodi. “What about Rayne?” Kodi suddenly asked.

”Well you don’t want to hear it…we couldn’t find him…cage was crushed under boxes…” Ralph said quietly. Long deep silence became over the trio and over Kodi.


”Is he…?” Dusty asked not wanting to hear the worst one. Ralph nodded slowly his head.

”Only what we found was blood pound on the boiler room…some fur…nothing else…rest was gone…” Ralph explained.

”How powerful that was....? It can’t just make whole dog to explode in atoms…” Kodi said thinking a bit; he then frowned and looked the trio. “What are we going to tell to May?” he added after his sentence.

Silence grew again between the dogs that didn’t want to even talk about the situation.

”I don’t know…” Dusty said and then head low she started to walk towards the hospital where May was at this moment.

Kodi wanted to follow but Ralph and Kirby blocked his path. “We have something other to do…we have a sled run…Dusty isn’t able to run yet…so she can stay…we can’t” Ralph said in small growl and then walked towards Post office…

Behind streets three dogs stared the post office. “How long yet?” first asked and shivered because of the cold air.

”2 minutes…and why do we have to do this at morning? It’s like a suicide!” second said shivering in cold also. Third snorted. “We do what we have been ordered to do and you guys follow the rules” third snapped in cold accent.

Every dog swallowed in small fear of being busted.

Suddenly post office exploded. Pieces flew all around near the area where it exploded. Man who was with 3 dogs awaiting rest of the team to arrive and also loading the cargo was swallowed by the flames with his dogs and soon man was running like a burning torch all around yelling and screaming. Dogs flew around; One was burning also slowly to his death.

Second others ran a while with the man before they fell on ground screaming in pain before they died also. Man yelled hitting on a wall while he ran, after that he fell on ground and burn slowly to dark mommy…

Dog smirked while they left. “Everything we need to do in here is done” one of them said while they ran…

They disappeared on forest…

Kodi, Ralph and Kirby heard the explosion and they ran to see what was going on. Each of them shocked of the view of burning house and burned mommies.

”OH MY GOD!” Kirby said trying to avoid sniffing the smell of toasted flesh. He seems to hate it a lot.

”First Rayne now these guys” Kodi said in growl and then turned towards his friends. “Tell this to everyone in old mill…we can’t take this sort of threat like a funny thing…this is serious now” he said baring his teeth’s a bit then he ran down on streets…

Kirby and Ralph took off towards Old mill… Everything they had in their mind was: Away before something will happen…

Meanwhile inside hospital Dusty who was staring towards smoking post office sighed, she went inside room where May was resting inside a basket. May’s black and white fur was covered with bandages and her neck bandage was having some blood in it.

May woke up in steps and almost yelped in surprise. “It’s ok May! It’s just me” Dusty said and saw when slowly and carefully May lay back down in the basket.

May shivered a bit, Dusty saw how afraid she was. “Are you alright?” Dusty suddenly asked from May who nodded her head softly and quietly almost crying like usual.

”I have waked up in a explosion…I’m afraid…of what it was…” she said looking on other direction avoiding eye contact with Dusty who sighed.

”May…we haven’t found Rayne…” she said quietly.

May raised her head in shock and looked Dusty. “What? Was he…no…” she said small tear running down on her cheek. She closed her eyes and laid her head on ground whimpering a bit. “It can’t be…” she said.

”We aren’t sure yet…but it’s more likely that he didn’t make it…” Dusty added feeling also pain inside her.

”Rayne isn’t bad…why everyone hates him and wants to get rid of him?” May suddenly asked in small growl.

Dusty tilted her head. “What do you mean?” she asked and sat down showing that she was ready to hear a long story if May is going to tell her a one.

”Well…first of all…he is abandoned dog…he was left when he was a pup…all alone…then he was just…adopted by the army of M.S.D.F…” May started seeing Dusty bit shocking from those words ‘Abandoned’.

”Continue…” Dusty said wanting to hear even more.

”Well…he told me something about his lone life and so on…he is lost…I told some of mine, and…I kind of…” May said almost blushing…

Dusty smiled a bit to her blushing. “You like him?” she asked giggling.

May nodded her head quietly. “He is just…a bit personal and caring dog…he helped me when I was wounded…he done a lot to me…talked …even I wanted to kill him while we two were under hospital and blocked inside there…” May said and giggled. “He hasn’t taken my heart yet at least…so he is at this moment only a friend” May added in a small smile. “But now he is gone…” she said and sighed sadly feeling again tear dropping on her paw.

Dusty smiled sweetly a while. “So…you mean…we…have to say sorry from our treatment for him?”

May nodded her head. “He is not here in sabotage or something else like that…we just saved him and he is here…his lost also I guess…otherwise he could be gone few days ago” May said in sigh.

Dusty nodded her head in small sadness of seeing such a beautiful husky who liked a bit from a male who was hated dog around and now even dead.

”I wish…that I could…change time…Why he was locked in a cage anyway?” May suddenly asked.

Dusty cocked her head. “We…still kept him in some sort of threat” she said feeling bit embarrassment because they felt that from innocent dog.

May growled a bit but then sighed in sadness that soon captured her whole soul. She started to cry on her paws tears running down on her cheeks.

”So Husky? You made it this far” One Orange white husky said smirking to one dog who was inside shadows. Husky didn’t hear any answers. “Oh I forget to tell my name…My name is Speedy” Orange white husky said in a smile. Dog inside shadows didn’t answer he whispered only the answer like he was in large pain…

”Welcome in Private…this is Operation: Quiet Wind 2” Speedy said in small smirk.

Silence was cleaning Nome once again. Everything seems to be so clean and pure…it wasn’t the truth.

3 Dog soldiers ran on streets checking and avoiding windows and doors they moved like shadows and never showed their selves.

Speedy was staring from shadows and sighed sadly when he saw those dogs running on streets. One of those dogs ran on street where Speedy was.

Husky’s granite face was cold looking and eyes were lifeless ones. Speedy leaped suddenly on his husky. Both fought from their lives. Speedy suddenly succeed to slap dog’s snout so that dog exposed his throat where he sunk his jaws at once. Speedy shook his head violently causing large wound on throat also blood flying from there staining on his fur and on his face.

Soon lifeless husky dropped on ground whimpering and letting watery growling. Speedy smirked and turned on husky who was behind box. “C’mon boy…let’s show those dogs who are here…two left one officer second is only private…their target is somewhere here” he explained and then ran off on streets. Husky only stared hospital and then ran inside there from doggy door that was open still for some reason.

He quietly walked awhile inside the room then opening small door. May woke up on the sounds of opening door and forced to let her gaze search person who came from the door, her eyes went wider...

Inside old mill some dogs were talking from the situation what was inside Nome, when suddenly door blow open and panting uniformed orange white husky hit on ground.

Soon husky got up smirking to those dogs that gasped and stared him like he was some sort of god or something like that.

”Gentlemen’s this is ultimate chance for you to help me…I’m sure that SOME of you remembers me” Husky said. Few dogs recognized him and they gasped.

”Speedy?” one brown cream husky asked from corner, and jumped down walking up to him.

”Aye it’s me in pure body and in idiotic Uniform that feels hot and is uniform of SLED DOG!” Speedy said in annoyed tone and then suddenly looked others.

“For small tip…I bet Rayne is dead and never be able to see in here anymore…so IF here is some dogs that want to revenge the murder of Rayne can join up with me and follow…there is two SS-Dogs marching on your streets wanting to kill everyone” Speedy explained.

At once Dusty stepped out, that caused some gasps and suddenly Kodi followed then Kirby, Ralph and some others stood there in small single line. Speedy smiled.

”Good with this task force we can take those two out before they will kill this towns mayor” Speedy said then he turned and ran out from the building.

Kodi’s team followed him tightly behind.

SS-Dogs were just planting Schatchel Charge. “C’mon is it ready yet?” one of them asked in annoyance and then he heard some barking.

”Schnell!” he said suddenly and moved behind barrel. “Achtung! There comes hunting party leaded by S.C.D.F dog!” Husky yelped and then eyed his friend who suddenly dropped the bag on ground and started to run.

Speedy eyed the dogs not seeing anyone who could carry golden plate. “What? 2 Privates?” he asked while he ran towards them. SS dog grabbed from grenade that was inside his bag but before he could pull it out Speedy leaped on him with help of Kodi and two others.

Rest leaped on the second who started to fight desperate way against them, he was outnumbered but was sure that he takes at least ONE with him.

Blood stained on walls when Speedy and some others killed the first SS-Dog who yelled in pain. Second succeed to take first dog out from the days by slapping his snout and then ripping exposed throat open. Blood flew on walls but that was last thing he could do before he was killed by several fangs on his neck and on his face area…

Speedy checked the area not seeing one dark figured coming closer from valley…

”Now we have to find the lead-“Speedy started but before he could end his sentence someone slapped him with small needle and then ran away. Speedy gasped when he saw the needle and then he simply fell on ground on his side panting weakly before he closed his eyes…

”No…Sleeping…arrow…” he said quietly and fell asleep on that place…

Kodi and others growled and went after the German Shepherd who done that to Speedy.

Shepherd stopped a while and saw enemies closing in so he continued running. He felt panting escaping from his mouth and felt his body wanting to give up but he didn’t let it to rest, he turned on small street and then almost hit his head on wall. “Scheiss!” he shouted in accent and slapped the wall without real use. “Road Block” he growled sending also curses. “Damn dead end” he added and turned to see that others catch him up growling on the street.

Shepherd was now blocked. “Ach…you guys will never catch me alive!” he shouted pulling stick grenade pulling the pin out knowing that they can avoid it… He dropped it on ground letting it to explode.

His body exploded into pieces blood staining all around the walls, and what was left drop on ground.

Blood flew on Kodi’s face and he cursed cleaning it away now seeing that what was left from the dog, he almost vomited on the view of headless and legless body…

Each of the SS-Dogs near by was killed…

After two annoying hours…

Boiler room.

Most of the dogs were talking from the situation what has happen. None of them didn’t talk from Rayne, they knew the wrong treatment they gave to him, but they thought that he was dangerous…

Still on the end someone was happy. May was staring into distance on outskirt of the town. She sighed sadly and also in joy.

She soon felt one dog close with her and she nuzzled the figure softly and lovingly. “I wish you will come some day back” she said and licked softly husky’s cheek while husky licked her back.

”I will…I’m sure from it…but now I’ll say good bye…” husky said and May smiled sadly but felt lick what caused her to melt almost. “Never farewell…” Dog said and they nuzzled each others again.

Speedy passed them both. “Enough with the flirting I have a sled job to do…even I hate it” he snapped and last words were evil sounding.

May giggled and gave hug to Speedy who smiled narrowly. “Thank you ma’am but I have other business to do” he said and then started to walk away.

Dog nuzzled May again. “See you one day May…” he said and disappeared with Speedy into forest. May let out small tear and whispered: “Good bye Rayne…” she said quietly…
