Now keep in mind that these pups names change, except for Saba. Aleu is still Aleu, and Kiona is known as Una. These are all names their parents called them, but not their owners.

Dingo

One morning, mama's master put me and my five siblings inside of a wooden box outside. It was warm weather and I wanted to run on the beach, but mama and papa said we all had to stay in the box because they said human pups were going to be taking us home. We were all very excited, especially Aleu, who howled with joy. No matter what she thought, we all knew she was a terrible singer. The only reason me, Una, Kodi, Saba, and Dakota didn't howl was to not encourage Aleu to do the same, but somehow it never worked. We all would've been jumping around in excitement if we weren't protecting our ears from her noises.

"Awooo!" Aleu howled.

"Aleu, honey," said mama. "Please don't howl like that." I heard Una sigh with relief.

"Oh," Aleu stopped. "Sorry, mama, it only happens when I'm excited!"

"I'm excited too!" exclaimed Saba, pouncing on top of Aleu. "I can't WAIT to get a human...and chew on their socks!" She giggled, rough-housing with the others.

I lept up to the side of the box nearest Papa and Mama. "Papa, are you gonna get a human too?" I asked.

He looked at me and smiled. "Nah, humans like cute little puppies, like you. Not old grizzly grown-ups, like me." He patted my head with his paw.

I always wondered where papa's human was. Every time I ever seen him, he was only with us. I hoped that I got a loving family like the one mama had.

It wasn't long before a human pup stooped over our box with a big smiling face. He said, "These are Rosie's puppies, Mama! Jenna had them!" He took one look at me and picked me up. I hoped he would be taking me home. He had a round tan face and small eyes. I wouldn't see his hair because of the hat he was wearing.

He looked at his father and mother and said, "Papa, I want this one!!" And it was as simple as that when I became a member of a new family. As the human pup carried me away, I looked back at my family and waved good-bye, all of them smiling at me.

Dakota

After Dingo was taken in by the human pup, the rest of us were being taken by families as well. Saba and I were adopted at the same time by two different children. A girl adopted Saba and a boy adopted me. I was hoping that my new family would be near my old one, and my wish came true. They lived right next-door to the butcher's shop and Saba was only a few doors down.

I entered my new family's home and when Andrew finally put me on the floor, I started sniffing around. The first thing that came to my mind was to cause mischeif. Ever since I was born I was always the more mischeif one. It was mostly to get my father's attention, because he liked Aleu best. It was only because she looked more like him. But then it wasn't long until all I wanted to do was get in trouble.

I sniffed around and seen a weird-looking soft stringy ball lying on the floor. Of all the toys in the world, the ball was my favorite, so I picked it up and started shaking it harshly. Until it fell apart into a big stringy mess.

"No! Bad dog!" cried my boy's mother. She tapped me on the face. Which took me by surprise. When she pointed her finger in my face I snapped at it in a playful way, but she took it aggressively and tapped me on the nose again. I sat on the floor and just wimpered.

Saba

My human pup loved me right away and I loved her. The one thing that I loved most about her was her voice. It was high-pitched, but it was very gentle and sweet. And the better thing was she was friends with mama's human pup, Rosie. My human pup skipped to her house with me held securely in her arms. Her mama opened the door and smiled at us. She seemed like a very friendly lady, who looked like an older version of my human. She had long dark brown hair, milky white skin, light brown eyes and a long face. She, like my girl, was dressed in poofy warm clothing.

"Hello, Meg," said her mother, still smiling. "Is that your new puppy?"

"Yep, it is, mama!" Meg exclaimed, lifting me up to show. "Isn't she pretty? She has brown eyes like us!"

"Ah, so she does!" chuckled Meg's mother. "What are you going to name her?"

"I thought about it on the way home," said Meg, turning me around to face her. I licked her nose, excited about getting my new name. "I'm gonna name her Quinn!"

Her mother seemed a bit shocked. "Uh, 'Quinn'? Doesn't that mean wolf?"

"Yeah, but the name sounds pretty," Meg smiled as she walked into her house. She put me on the floor and gave me a small rabbit chewy to play with. "Welcome to your new home, Quinn!"

On my second birthday, Stephen left on a trip with his father. I had no idea where they went, but it was most likely to try and find a way to get money. Ever since my family adopted me, they were struggling to keep everyone fed and taken care of. I rarely ate anyway, so I didn't mind if I went two days without food.

Later that evening Stephen's mom was waiting by the door, looking out the window.

"Oh, good, he's here," she said to no one, opening the door.

"Who's here?" I asked myself, propping myself on the window sill to look outside. Stephen and his father weren't home. But someone else was here. Whoever it was, they entered the door. He was a younger man, probably about nineteen years old. He was dressed in dirty clothes.

"Hello, you must be Ethan." Stephen's mother greeted.

"Yep, that's me," the boy said shyly. "So, here is he?"

"He's right here," she pointed at me. This boy seemed nice, so I wagged my tail.

"Ah, he looks...friendly," Ethan said, wary.

"He is, but he's very strong like you were looking for. His father was part wolf."

"No kiddin'!" Ethan seemed more interested in me, and he pet my head. "Well, I'll still take him, then!" He whipped out a great sum of money. "Here you go."

"Thank you so much!" Stephan's mother thanked. "You have no idea how much me and my family needed this money."

"No, thank you." Ethan said, putting a rope around my neck.

I figured for a long time that day that I would be back with my family within the next few days. But when Ethan kept taking me farther and father away, it hit me that I was never going back.

Dakota

I jumped up onto the table and I kept sliding across it. I tried stopping myself, but I couldn't and ended up spilling everything onto the floor. Two years old, one would think I'd learn that I was too big to fit on the table.

Andrew's mom had finally cracked. She growled through her teeth and said to Andrew, "That dog is a wild animal! And he's making a mess out of everything! From now on, he STAYS outside!" She grabbed me by my collar and threw me outside. Fine by me, the house was boring anyway. Andrew definately had better things to do than to be with me, he was always out trying to learn how to be a doctor. He may as well have let me live on my own because he didn't need me anymore.

My stomach rumbled and I stopped walking and looked at it. It was that time of day to raid the butcher's meat locker. Dad always frowned upon me taking food from my siblings and humans. But hey, I was outside where my humans couldn't feed me, so I had no choice but to help myself.

I found my way over to the butcher's shop and looked at the window inside. What did I want to eat? The sausage links looked tastey. I licked my lips and made my way to the back of the shop. I looked down the alley and spotted the door that led to the meat locker. I looked at my surroundings to see of anyone was looking. No one was around, and the butcher was in the shop taking care of some customers, so he wouldn't be in the locker. I lifted the screws out from the hinges on the door and pushed the door open with my paw. It was a useful trick to breaking into buildings, but I didn't know where I learned it from.

I seen the butcher exit the room that was the meat locker, he didn't notice me...or the locker door not closing. I pryed the ajar door open enough for me to squeeze myself in. I had broke into the meat locker on numerous occasions and I only got caught once. That time I got whipped pretty badly by the butcher, but I never got caught again. Every time he notices some meat gone, he always assumes it was me and almost every time it was.

The sausages were hanging by a hook on the wall. I was very tempted to take the entire lamb hanging from the ceiling, but I had to resist all temptation. So I took the sausages from the hook and opened the door to get outside. I had just made it outside when I was stopped by a black, blonde, and white husky. He was Iron, the son of some dog named Steele, who my Dad didn't like very much. I wasn't sure who his mother was, but whoever she was, she was who Iron got his blonde fur from.

"Where are you going with those sausages, Dakota?" he snickered.

"I'm gonna go no where and eat them, smart-ass." I scoffed, brushing past him. He was bigger than I was, but I wasn't afraid of him, deep down inside he was a coward.

He stepped in front of me again. "You know? I was gonna go raid the butcher's locker of sausages myself, but I think it'll be much easier just to take yours."

"You're better off hunting for a bull moose by yourself than raiding the meat locker," I laughed, sausage still in my mouth. He definately caught on that I was calling him useless, so he snarled and lunged at me with his fangs. I dropped my sausage on the ground to fight him. He somehow pinned me underneath him and he snapped at my face. He kicked him off with my hind legs and he faced off. He went to attack me, but when I lunged at him, he missed my neck and I snapped my teeth around his and pulled. I didnt draw blood, but I scared him enough to get him to run away yelping.

I snorted a laugh in his direction and I picked up the sausages I rightfully stole. I looked up and seen the butcher glaring down at me with a noose in his big hands. I tried to run, but he slipped the noose around my neck and every time I pulled the rope got tighter. He kicked me in the face once and I didn't dare mess with him.

"You accursed mutt, I'm gonna send you away from this town," said the butcher. "Too many animals try stealing the meat and I won't take it any longer!" He dragged me back to my house and he and Andrew's mother were discussing sending me away. Good for me, then, because I didn't want to be in this town anyway. The only good thing about it was my old family, and I only seen Mom, Kodi, and Una. Una left with her human not too long ago and Kodi was always out of town doing mail runs. And Saba was always around making herself well-acquainted with others.

Later that evening Andrew's mom was talking to someone on the telephone. It sounded like it could have been a man.

"Yes, you can have him," she said. "Oh, you live in Oklahoma?...Even better...I don't care how much you pay for him, I don't care where you take him, I don't care what you do with him after you get him, I just want him out of here...Tomorrow is perfect...Ok, see you then...Good bye, sir."

Good riddance to this place. But I supposed that I should go and be a good son and say good-bye to my mother. I begged to go outside and Andrew's mom willingly let me go. I trotted outside towards my mother's home.

I peered inside of the window, which was slightly open, and seen her sleeping cozily on a rug. I scratched on the window to get her attention. I lifted her head and yawned.

"Hey, Mom," I whispered. She looked in my direction with a surprised look on her face. She trotted to the window I was in.

"Dakota, what are you doing here so late?" she asked me.

"I'm getting sold to a man who lives in Oklahoma." I told her. "I've just come to say good-bye." She looked like she was going to burst into tears, but she blinked them away for my sake. She stuck her nose through the window.

"Be safe, Dakota," she whispered. "I love you."

"I will, Mom," I said, putting my nose to hers.

The next day, the man who was going to buy me came to Nome. He entered my master's house and shook Andrew's dad's hand.

"Hello, Mr. Jacob." Andrew's father greeted the man.

"Hello," he said, smiling. "Is this him right here?" he looked at me. He seemed like a decent man, so I let him pet me.

"Yes, that's him, "Andrew's mom scoffed.

"He's gonna like it on my farm back in Oklahoma, there's plenty of wide open spaces and he won't be cooped up like he is here."

This Oklahoma place was starting to sound like fun.

"What brings you to Alaska?" she asked Jacob.

"Holiday," he said." And I could use another dog on my farm, my sheepdog is getting ready to retire."

"You want him to HERD sheep?" he asked quizzically. "He's not trained! ...In that field." he fixed his sentence.

"Ah, that's alright, it's never too late to teach an old dog a new trick."

"Old dog!" I thought. "I'll show you who the old dog is!"

Saba

I walked down the streets of Nome in search of something to do. Meg wasn't home that day and she was off playing with Rosie, and Meg's mother wasn't home either. Meg's mother let Meg adopt me because she was a very lonely little girl who's father was killed by a bear. Meg's only friend was Rosie.

As I made my way towards my mother's home, I seen her walking down the street with my father by her side. They seemed sad.

"Hello, Mama, hello, Papa," I greeted as I approached them. "What's wrong?"

"It's your brother Dakota," said Papa.

"Dakota?" I questioned. "Oh, no! Is he hurt?!"

"No, nothing like that," he said. "He got sold to a man in Oklahoma."

"W-Where's that?"

"Many many miles south of here." he replied. I felt so sad all of a sudden. Me and Dakota weren't the closest brother and sister, but he was still my brother. I was extremely depressed when Dingo left, because he and I were always close. Just me, him, and Aleu, the three of us were very close. First Dingo was taken far away, then Aleu ran away, Kodi got a job and was rarely seen anymore, then Una moved with her human, and now Dakota was sold to a place I would never see him again. It felt like I was just an only child with no siblings at all and soon, I would probably forget even having any.

I nuzzled my father. "Papa, will we ever see any of them again?" Even though I was the second oldest, I felt like a runt asking my father that question.

"Of...course we will, Saba." he said, nuzzling me back.

I told my parents I would see them later, and I wandered around town trying to find someone to talk to. Dispite how many dogs were actually populating this town, there seemed to be none around whatsoever. Feeling an emotion beyond lonliness, I sat in the snow just outside of town, staring off into the all-white scenery.

I was by myself for a long time, slowly slipping into depression. I didnt know why I was acting like this. I was never depressed. I was always happy and giddy and rambunctious. But then instead of getting depressed I began to get angry at myself for even being depressed. While I was trying to decide on my emotions, someone approached me from behind.

"Jenna?"

I looked back at the voice who addressed my mother's name. It was Iron, Steele's son.

"Oh, it's you, Saba." he said, a bit embarrassed.

I groaned and turned back around. This guy was after me ever since I was adopted by Meg. His father liked my mother at one time too. I hated it when history repeats itself.

"The name's QUINN now," I spat, not looking at him.

"Sorry," he said. "There any reason you're sitting alone?"

"I'm busy thinking," I said. "You should try it sometime." I especially didn't like Iron because he always harrassed Dakota and Una for being part wolf, but for some reason he never harrassed me.

"Well, excuse me!" he growled. "I just wanted to keep you a little company! You seemed lonely!"

I stayed silent.

I heard him turn around to leave. Maybe I should've been nicer. I mean sure, he harrassed my brother and sister, but he always treated me nicely. And he was trying to be nice now. I turned around to catch him before he left.

"Iron--" But he was gone. It was like he disappeared, but I seen his tracks leading away. They looked like he started walking and then broke into a run. He was being trained to be a race dog like his father, so no wonder he ran so fast. I turned back towards the outside of town to look at the setting sun, but the sun had already set. I figured it was time to head back home.

I turned the corner of the street where my house was located and heard a noise behind me. It was a foreign noise, and it scared me, so I broke into a sprint towards my home.

"Saba, it's me," said Iron's voice. I looked behind myself. "I mean, Quinn," he corrected himself.

"Oh, it's you," I sighed, relieved. "I thought you were some rabid killer!" I joked. I could see him smile in the dark. He had a nice smile. I shook those observant thoughts out of my head. "And you can call me Saba if you want. Only my human calls me Quinn anyway."

"Ok," he said. "Want me to walk you the rest of the way home?"

"Uh...s-sure." I said, letting him walk up beside me. This was rather odd. Usually he'd try to make a move on me, but this time he didn't. "Uh, sorry for being a jerk to you earlier."

"Oh, it's ok." he replied. "I was upset when my brothers and sisters had to leave me too."

"How'd you know I was upset about that?"

"Well, when I heard Dakota was sent away from Nome and I seen you off by yourself, which I KNOW is a rare occasion, I just put two and two together." he said, seeming quite proud of himself. His self-confidence made me chuckle.

When we came to my house, we finally said our good-nights and parted. But before I entered through my dog-door, Iron stopped me.

"Wait, uh, Saba?"

"Yeah?"

"Uh...just a shot in the dark, but uh...would you like to go with me to watch the sun set or something?"

Peculiar thing to ask, but oh well. "Uh, sure!"

"Great," he grinned, watching me enter my house.

"Hmm," I thought to myself as I layed down on my pillow. "Maybe... I won't feel so lonely anymore."

Dingo

Ethan and I spent the next week traveling to a place called Detroit. We eventually made it there by train on the seventh night and we were exhausted. Ethan was almost entirely out of money, so we had no place to stay. And it was raining that night too. We found ourselves an old warehouse. It was dusty in there, but it was dry and would have to be suitable for the night. I had no idea what the two of us came here for, but something told me neither of us knew. Well, Ethan seemed to have a small idea, but he always seemed unsure of himself. I would try comforting him, but he would always just give me the food he was eating, thinking I was begging.

"Well, Gus," Ethan addressed me by the name he gave me, stiffling a cough. "We made it," He layed down on the hard ground and fell asleep. I layed next to him to keep him warm. He sleepily wrapped his arms around me to stay warm. I looked around to make sure no one was looking, then I layed my head next to his and joined him in slumber.

~~~
The next morning, Ethan finally woke up feeling a little bit sick. He opened his eyes and looked into mine.
"Good dog," he said, groggy. He pressed his body against mine. My eyes widened and my fur stood on end with embarrassment. I never had this kid of contact with anyone, especially a male. A startling noise gave me an excuse to sit up. The warehouse door was pryed open and the gruffy-looking man who opened it told the two of us to get out before he called the police. Ethan stood straight up and we bolted out of there. For some reason, Ethan got very nervous whenever he heard the word "police" like he carried some sort of secret and didn't want anyone to know about it. This kid seemed too nice and innocent to carry such a burden.
We wandered the the dark part of the streets for a while. Ethan was looking for a certain place. I didn't know what it was until I saw it. The first thing I seen were tons of men in a large secluded area howling and rooting. What they were howling over, I didn't know either. When Ethan and I made our way through the crowds, I seen what the men were howling over. Two huge dogs were fighting each other. Both of them were covered in the other's blood, or their own. I gasped at the sight. This was cruel and unusual punishment! These men were making these poor animals fight each other. It must have been for gambling because I seen many men swapping money with each other.
The fight was over when one dog ripped the other's throat out in a big bloody mess. Blood sprayed onto the floor as the "losing" dog howled out in agonizing pain. For some reason I couldn't take my eyes away from the terrifying sight. It finally hit me that Ethan bought me to take me here to fight and win him money. I tried running away but the rope Ethan had me on wasn't letting me go anywhere.
Dakota
I only stayed at Jacob's farm for a few days until I was re-sold again. I had no idea what the man was worked up about. So, what, I fought with the neighbor's dog and killed a few sheep? A dog's gotta eat, and dog food just didn't cut it every time. The man who bought me seemed to like how hostile I was, though. When he found out I was part wolf, he said I had the devil running through me. I liked how he said that, it made me feel appreciated. The man's name was Randall and he recently moved to Detroit. What he wanted a dog for, I didn't know, but this man treated me like a king, so I treated him with respect and followed his every order. I was very loyal to this man.
Within a week, Randall was training me to tear things up. Why, I didn't know, but I had fun doing it.
~~~

The next day was different than the others. Randall led me to a place that seemed very popular among the men here. A big crowd of men were encircling something. I heard viscious barking too. I peered in between the crowd of legs and seen that the source of the barking was of two dogs fighting each other. No men were stopping them, so they msut've enjoyed watching such an event. I wouldn't have minded participating, to show off how awesome I was. But I had a feeling that was what Randall had in mind for me.

Randall looked at his watch and then looked at me, "We're next, Dialo." he said, scratching my head. I grinned to myself. These men were going to be in for a real treat.

Saba

Ever since Iron and I watched that sunset together, and whenever I wasn't keeping Meg company, we were together all the time. Except when my parents were around, because they would never accept Iron as my mate. The two of us had talked about becoming the other's mate soon and we were very happy about the moment to come. But I couldn't help but get nervous about my father. He needed to know about this, otherwise he'd be even more mad at me for not telling him.

Iron and I were making our way towards my father's boat because that's where he and my mother were at the time.

"I'm pretty nervous, Iron," I said, looking forward towards our destination.

"You'll be fine, your parents aren't gonna hate you," he assured me.

"I know, but I'm still pretty nervous,"

We made our way onto the boat. "Mom? Dad? It's me, Saba."

"Oh, hey Saba," said Papa, coming around the corner of the captain's quarters, Mama appearing from behind him. He stopped in his tracks when he seen Iron and was taken aback, but he still showed a little respect. "Uh, what's going on?"

"Nothing much," I said. "We've just come to...TELL you that I'm going to...be with Iron." Both of my parents sighed in slight frustration.

"Saba, are you sure?" Jenna asked.

"Yes," I said.

My parents were silent for a moment, they looked at each other then back at me. "Alright," Papa said. "I guess it's just something you hafta learn on your own." He nodded a good-bye at us and went back to the front of his ship, Mama in tow. I knew why they didn't like Iron. They figured that he was goig to be just like his father and mother. But those two loved each other and I loved Iron.

"Told ya," Iron said on the way back to town.

"Be quiet," I chuckled, pushing myself into him.

"Wanna race?" he asked, breaking into a run. I didn't respond and just ran right alongside him.

We raced to the boiler room where we had plenty of privacy. Iron closed the door behind him and smiled at me. I smiled at him and layed down on a small blanket. He layed beside me and began licking my ear. Then it all went downhill from there.

~~~
The next day I was the happiest dog alive. Iron and I were soon going to be expecting puppies and I couldn't wait for Meg to find out. My parents on the other hand would have to wait though... I was running towards Meg's home away from the boiler room when I passed the road that led out of Nome. The sun was rising. It reminded me of my brothers and sisters. If they found out would they be happy for me? Of course they would... I sent a small prayer out to each of them and prayed that we would meet again.
Dingo
Ethan untied the rope around my neck and a different man pushed me into the open circle of the men. I searched frantically for an opening, but then a man would just kick me back in. I nervously looked around for my "oponent" who was surely going to kill me, if I didn''t kill him...or her.
It wasn't long before another dog was thrown into the ring with me. He looked devilish and had red and white fur like my own, only he had goldish eyes instead of blue.
"C'mon, Dialo!" shouted one man's voice from the crowd.
The dog lunged at me with a snarl and a snap, but I barely evaded him. I stared at him wide-eyed. Why did he seem so familiar to me? I couldn't remember anything at all. But I had no time to remember because Dialo was trying to tear my throat out.
He lunged again from above and drew a little blood. I let out a small cry.
"Come on, Gus, you can do it!" cried Ethan, sounding a little bit desperate for me to win. I knew I wasn't a fighter, but I fought back anyway. The next time Dialo charged at me, I bit his muzzle without thinking. He growled and snapped his jaws onto my front leg. They were closed tightly around the wrist and he was pulling back. I cried out loud, but pulling away made it worse, so I jumped on top of his back and chomped on the back of his neck. He didn't let go, so i bit him in the face again. He let go that time, but only to push me off my back legs and get on top of me.
He went for my neck, but I blocked him with my front leg and he dug his fangs into my chest and stomach and ripped. I cried out again, seeing blood splash onto the ground. I snapped at his neck at ripped. Unfortunately I wasn't in the position to draw blood, but for the moment he was off me. I got back onto my feet and growled at him. When I stood, blood poured from my chest and stomach and the lack of blood made it difficult for me to stand.
"Ah, so you want me to go worse on ya, huh?" Dialo snarled, my blood dripping from his teeth. "So be it." He took one last leap at me and he had my neck in his jaws. I felt an agonizing tear in my throat. Then I felt myself being ripped back and fourth four or five times until I was whipped viciously onto the hard, wet ground. I don't remember hearing myself cry out, if I even had the chance to. But I seen my vision blur and Ethan's guilt-ridden face staring down upon me.
"Oh Gus..." he wimpered. He pat my fur gently.
"Did I...do...a...good job?" I asked in between breaths. He couldn't understand my canine speech, I knew, but he nodded anyway. I seen him reach into his back pocket and take out a pistol.
"I'm sorry..." he whispered, a single tear rolling down his dirty face. He pointed the gun at my head and pulled the trigger.
Dakota
I heard a gunshot and seen my oponent's master sobbing his eyes out. Had I not put that dog out of his misery? I lowered my head, feeling guilty myself. That poor kid must have felt more miserable than me having to kill his dog, that he probably loved very much. No men went to comfort him. They just watched, some in pity, some in disgust. These men had no hearts whatsoever. How could they just let the kid cry like that? I sighed and began approaching him gently. He heard me coming and he whipped his head to face me, red forming at the rims of his eyes.
"You--" He stood up abruptly and kicked me. Had I not felt bad for the kid, I would've biten him.
Then Randall stepped in, yelling, "HEY! Don't kick my dog, kid!"
"You! You killed my dog!" The kid took a pistol and pointed it at Randall. "You killed my dog, now I'm gonna kill YOU!" It was at that moment that a group of men lunged at the kid, trying to keep him from stuggling and trying to take away his gun. As the boy was being taken away, he yelled curses at both me and Randall. The men remaining all chuckled to themselves about the situation that just happened and the situation that could have happened.
Then the fights began again. I fought about 4 more times and won every one of them. They were extremely easy, and would they have been larger than me and smarter than me, my guilt would've made me lose. But it was a good thing that the dogs I fought were stupid and inexperienced. I was sure to kill all of them to put them out of their misery. I was making Randall all sorts of money and it was really disgusting me. All this time, I thought it was because he wanted to treat me fairly, but ever since I started fighting he hadn't even given me so much as a drink of water. Just a pat on the head and a lame encouragement was all he gave to me. If losing didn't mean dying in his game, I would've lost to the first dog I fought. But I had a feeling that this next fight was going to be tough because fatigue was setting in.
The next fight was me against a big malamute named Demoneye. I knew where he got that name, because one eye was a tranquil dark brown, while the other was a menacing piercing bright blue. The fight began when Demoneye's owner let him loose and the dog just ran at me at full speed, barking visciously and loudly, teeth beared, drool flying from his lips.
I was not expecting such a maniac for an oponent. I tried lunging at his neck, but he was so huge he knocked me out of the air and onto the ground. I bounced hard on the cement and landed roughly on my feet. I tried going at him again, but he pushed me onto my back and grabbed at my neck. I felt Demoneye's teeth clasp against my neck, but then I felt him get ripped off me. Randall was standing over me yelling at Demoneye and Demoneye's master in some foreign tongue.
"Hey!" shouted Demoneye's master, pointing a finger at Randall. "You're cheating!! My dog would've won!!"
"Your dog is playing dirty and not giving Dialo a chance to fight!"
"You're just trying to get my money, you bastard!" The two men began fighting. They fought until me and Randall were kicked out. Randall's money was taken by the men and he was left with nothing. Nothing but me.
A few days later, Randall made a bargain with a musher from Russia. Randall sold me to the big burley man with facial hair and then I became his sled dog. He really whipped me to learn the commands of a sled dog and within a week and a half, I was running on a team with five other dogs like me. All of them viscious meat-lovers. But we were good friends too.
My new master's name was Filat and although he whipped me at first and spoke in a language I didn't understand, he was the best master I ever had. He let me bully up my teammates and gave me all the raw meat I could ask for. I even helped him win a few races in Russia, which brought me even more meat. I could not have wished for a better life.
One day, Filat hooked me and the five other dogs up. I never really knew their names, because we never had to address ourselves. I was harnessed somewhere in the middle of the team and the male grey and white husky next to me, who I just called Grey, smiled.
"Ready to win another race, newbie?" Grey asked, grinning.
"Sure am," I smirked, looking forward. "I'm ready to kick some ass"
