The sun rises over the beatutiful Alasken Tunda. It's still very early in the morning. Normally around nine o clock the streets would be busy. People going about there normal lives. But is about eight o clock when two humans are seen walking down the street. These two humans are Rosy and her father. Rosy is almost fourteen now ( I dont how old she was in the first movie). Her father is carring a massive sized box with him. And behind them are all of Balto's pups and there mates. The father's carry there pups on there backs. This was a day for being both happy and sad. It's time for the grandpups of Balto and Jenna to find there homes.
Kodi and Dusty are smiling. They were ready to have there pups Amber and Alastair to find homes. But a...very unexpectied event if you would call it that took place. So adopiton day was delayed. But every one recoverd from that and the pups were then ready to find homes. Dingo and Mila are a litte nevous. They have had alot fun playing with there only child Zuko. But they agreed that he had his own life to live. Jim bravley walks at Sara's side. He was ready for this. Sara had a few tears running down her eyes. But she stoped.
Jacob, Cole, Elle, and Grace will need to know that there parents are ready to let them go. If she cries, they would want to stay at her side. Hunter and Willow are like Kodi and Dusty. Ready for there pups Bella, Dominic (Dom) and Icarus to find homes. Stark's were half closed he had never woken up this early. But he is ready for this. And if even tires to fall asleep, Luna will wack him on the head to keep him up.
They stopped in front of town hall. Kodi, Dusty and Stark thought that this would be a good place.
Rosy: Right here dad.
Rosy's dad: All right then.
He sets the box down and he and Rosy both takes the pups off there father's back and set the pups in the box.
Rosy: Dad, I think I can handle the rest of this myself.
Rosy's dad: Are you sure? cause I can...
Rosy: Dad. Please. This my pride.
Her dad looks at her. Her voice was serious but calm and a little sad.
Rosy's dad: Yeah. Jenna would have wanted this.
A small tear runs down Rosy's eyes. But she wipes it off.
Rosy: Yes she would.
Rosy's dad: Ok then. Bye.
He turns around and walks away. Rosy then pulls out a marker and huge piece of paper with tape on it out of her pocket. She writes something on the paper and slaps it on the front of the box.
The paper reads: FREE WOLF-DOG PUPS TO A GOOD HOME
She then sits down on the side walk. Dusty, Willow, Mila, Luna and Sara come up and sit at her side. After. Hunter, Dingo and, Stark met there girls, Rosy spent time with them so they can get used to Nome. And Rosy also would be seen on the beach playing with Jim. Jim has often conciderd Rosy to be his best human friend.
There was one time where everyone showed there loyalty and compassion to Rosy. They saw that Rosy was crying in town late at night. They followed her home and snuck in through the dog door. The next morning, Rosy woke and on her bedroom floor was everyone sleeping. She has not cried about Jenna's death since that night. Sara overherd Rosy talking to a friend one day. Rosy said that she should not be crying over Jenna's death anymore. But making Jenna proud by making sure that her and Balto's family have a great life.
And she hopes that this day will make Balto and Jenna proud.
Around 9:30 a young girl comes up. She looks in and sees all pups playing with each other. The girls laugh and it catchs the pup's attention. They scramble to the edge of the box. Many of them bark and some point. The girl pets alot of them but she pays alot of attention to Bella.
Girl: She cute!
She turns to her mother who walks up.
Girl: Can keep her mommy!?
Her mother gets down and sees how happy her daughter looks.
Mother: Of course.
Girl: Yay!!
Rosy: Good choice. Her name is Bella.
Girl: I love that name.
Mother: Did you name them?
Rosy: Not really. I had a weird dream last night. Something in it told me the pup's names. It was weird.... But I listend to it.
Mother: Then Bella it is.
The girl picks up Bella. The other pups wave good-bye to her. But they know that the human lives in town. They see her sometime.
As the girl and her mother walk away Willow stands next to Rosy as they both watch Bella be take to a new home. Willow puts her head down. But then Rosy hold Willow's head up and turns her face towards hers.
Rosy: It's ok Willow. That girl is a nice one. Bella will be happy.
Willow smiles and lightly licks Rosy on her cheek. Rosy laughs.
Rosy: Good girl.
About fifteen minutes later Dom is taken by a boy. Hunter and Willow are pleased that two of there pups have found homes. Around 10:15 a thirteen year boy passes by. He looks in the box and points something out.
Boy: You got some snow in there.
Rosy: What?
She looks in and then looks back to him.
Rosy: That's a pup.
Boy: It is?
He gets down and lightly pets Cherokee, Stark and Luna's son. Cherokee opens his eyes and sees the human. He starts to pant and handstands on his front two feet. The boy laughs.
Boy: Hey... Rosy right?
Rosy: Yeah?
Boy: Arent these older dogs Balto's pup's?
Rosy: Yeah and these are theres. There all free to a good home.
Boy: Well this I like this little snow white one. May I take him?
Rosy: Of couse! His name is Cherokee.
Boy: Love that name. Cherokee it is then.
He takes Cherokee out of the box and set him on the ground. Cherokee dashes to Luna and Stark. Luna rubs her nose across Cherokee's face.
Cherokee: I'll see you later mom and dad.
Stark: This human is nice. You'll have a good home.
Luna: You can come and see us whenever you want.
Cherokee: Well it wont be hard to find dad. I'll just look on his back porch.
Many of the others. including Stark laugh.
Stark: You got me there son.
Cherokee: I'll see you then!
He runs back to the boy and he carries Cherokee off.
Not to long after that two humans, a brother and sister come up with there father.
Brother: Look at these pups dad.
Sister: Can we get one!?
Dad: I dont know kids, have a pet is a huge responsiblilty.
Rosy: Well there all very well manerd and love to play around.
Dad: I still dont know. Wait arent these older ones Balto and Jenna's?
Rosy: Yes. And these little one are there grandpups. If you look at it right two thing come out of this. A free wolf dog and a place in the family of Balto.
Sister: Plese dad!
Brother: Balto was a hero. Giving his family homes will make us heros too.
Dad: Ok you have a one. But you have to be responsible for it. Deal.
Brother and Sister: Deal!
They both look around the box. The one catches both of them the most is Elle. She is Sara and Jim's daughter. She has Sara's bright red and white fur.
Brother: I like this one.
Sister: Me too!
Rosy: Elle is her name.
Brother: I love that name.
Rosy: Take good care her she's special.
Dad: How so?
Rosy: She looks just like Jenna when I picked her up.
Sister: We will do just that.
Dad: Come on you two we got to get home.
Both: Ok. Bye.
Rosy watches as Elle is taken away. Rosy gets a good look at Elle. Just like what Rosy said, Elle looks just like Jenna when Rosy picked her up. A memory plays in her head.
Memory:
Young Rosy: Daddy, daddy look at the puppies
Sara: I'm gonna miss her.
Jim: Hey. Remember, all there owners will be from around here. Well see her around.
A few hours pass. The sun slowly flies over sky. It's around three. In between this and when Elle was taken, Cole, Alastair, Amber, Dom and Grace have been taken. Dusty was crying, at both times when her pups were taken. Sara and Jim were both happy for Grace and Cole. Hunter and Willow both happy to see Dom find a home. His owner was a very caring, kind human. Dusty was still crying and Kodi knew that he had to comfert her.
Kodi: Amber will be fine. That human is a huge dog person. Amber we be loved by her.
Dusty: Are you sure?
Kodi: Would I ever lie to you?
Dusty quietly chuckels.
Dusty: No you wouldnt.
She rubs her face across Kodi's. Now most of the pups have been adaopted. Only four remain. Zuko, Icaurs, James and Jacob.
Jim: Looks like the boys are left.
Stark: Havent any of you noticed something about them?
Mila: No?
Stark: They look alot more wolf than dog. Like Aleu.
Kodi: Lets not live through that again.
Luna: They have a proud herritage.
Willow: And strong spirits.
Dingo: Theres some humans coming. Act natural guys.
Hunter: If I was acting natural, I would be wear human underpants and running through town like a mad cow.
All: What!?
Hunter: Never mind.
All small group humans that are about a year older than Rosy pass by. Only one of them sees the pups in the box.
Human # 1: Hey are those wolves?
Human # 2: Who cares Craig?
Craig: I do. You guys go ahead.
Human #2: Fine.
They others leave and Craig looks at them. Rosy oversees this.
Craig: Wow you guys are look alot like wolves.
Rosy: There not. They're half dogs and half wolves.
Craig: For real?
Rosy: Yeah. There grandfather is Balto.
Craig: Oh so these are the new pups I herd about.
Rosy: There free to a good home.
Craig: Well I always wanted a wolf dog. I never saw Balto as a stray. And he saved my life in 1925. So I guess I owe him one. I'll take one of them.
He looks at them and Jacob catches his eye.
Craig: This one. I like him alot.
Rosy: His name is Jacob.
Craig: Did you give him that name?
Rosy: Let me just say... something told me his name.
Craig: What do you mean?
Rosy: I had some dream and it was like some spirit was calling out to me. Telling me the names of all these pups. As crazy as it might sound, I think was Balto and Jenna.
Craig: That is crazy.
Rosy: I know I....
Craig: But Jacob his name will stay.
Rosy: Good luck.
Sara and Jim watch as there last pup is taken to a home.
Jim: Well guys... looks like were done here.
Dingo: Not all of us.
Luna: Were gonna stay until James gets picked up.
Dingo: Same with Zuko.
Willow: And Icarus.
Kodi: I think me and Dusty are gonna get some rest.
Stark: You two can go.
Hunter: Same with Sara and Jim.
Kodi: Good luck guys.
Kodi, Dusty, Sara and Jim leave. About an hour passes and nothing. Rosy is not giving up. But some are ready to call it a day.
Stark: The sun is starting to set.
Dingo: I think we'd better call it a day.
Luna: Dont speek to soon.
A human that looked a little older than Craig was comes up.
Human: Wolf dogs huh?
Rosy: There free to a good home. Intrested?
Human: I say hell yeah. I love wolves and dogs.
Rosy: Then you came to the right place.
The human picks up Icarus.
Rosy: His name is Icarus. He has a very... free spirit. That's how I like to discribe him. What do you think man?
Human: He's cute and strong spirited.
Rosy: I should tell you, he's quit the howler.
Human: That's cool. And between you and me... I have a little wolf side to me.
Rosy: What does that mean?
Human: I've always felt that there was a wolf side to my spirit. Somethimes I feel that there is a wolf walking right next to me.
Rosy: Do think you can handle a half wolf.
Human: I will. Icarus will be just fine.
Rosy: Thank you.
The man takes Icarus away. The last of Hunter and Willow's pups have been taken home. WIllow is quite for a second. But she starts to cry after the human with Icarus is out of sight. She rests herself on Hunter's side.
Hunter: I think she'll need some rest guys. I'll see you later.
Hutner and Willow walk away.
Dingo: Well Mila, Luna, Stark. It's just us now.
Luna: James and Zuko.
Mila: Who take them home I wonder.
At that second a little kid is seen crying on the other side of the street. This catchs Zuko attention. Much to the others and Rosy he uses alot of strength and jumps out of the box.
Luna: How did....
Dingo: He do that?
Mila: Zuko! Come back.
She take one step forward. But all she sees in fornt of her is Starks leg. Blocking her from going any further.
Mila: What are you doing?
Stark: Watch. I think were about to see what Zuko has gaind from his grandfather.
Mila looks over and sees Zuko walking up to the crying child. The kid stops crying, the second he sees Zuko come up to him. Zuko rubs his head across the child's leg.The child gets down to Zuko's size and pick him up. Zuko licks the boy's face. He laughs and Rosy comes across the street. She walk up to the boy's mom who was trying keep the boy calm.
Rosy: Seems Zuko has a connection with your son.
Mom: I'm sorry is he yours?
Rosy: He is a free wolf dog pup to a good home. And I think your son likes him.
Mom: He does seem happy. Bart's father just died and he hasnt been the same. I've tried everything but he just wont snap out of it.
Rosy: Well looks like Zuko did it.
Mom: Bart could use a friend right now.
Rosy: Then Zuko is yours.
Mom: Thank you. Hey Bart! You ge to keep him.
Zuko happily barks and Bart hugs his mom's leg.
Rosy: My work here is done.
She turns around and walks across street. Dingo and Mila watch as there son is taken to a new home.
Dingo: He's got his grandfather's kindness.
Mila: So did his son.
They nuzzles each other.
Stark: Good job guys.
Mila: Thanks Stark.
Dingo: I think were gonna turn in.
Mila: Good luck two you guys.
Luna: Night.
Dingo and Mila leave. Not to long after that Rosy comes up to Stark and Luna.
Rosy: Well guys... I guess well have to try tommorow.
Vocie: Rosy!
She turns around and sees her dad come up.
Rosy: Hey dad!
Rosy's dad: Wow. Pretty good day huh.
Rosy: Theres only one left.
Rosy's dad: Who?
Rosy: James.
Rosy's dad: All right. Well try agian tommorow.
Rosy: Ok. You take the box and I'll hold on to James.
Rosy's dad: Ok.
Stark: Do you think will be able to find a home, Luna?
Luna: Of couse we will! We'll just have to keep trying. Dont give up.
Stark: I will never give up on my son.
Luna: I know you wont. Sara once told me that you have your father's strength.
Stark: I do. I'd rather not have it though. I seem to always end up in a fight in situations and I come out on top. But here, I'm using my strength to find my son a home.
Luna: Thats good. Rosy can take him home and well just follow her.
They closely follow Rosy and her dad. As they walk through town James is resting his head over Rosy's sholders. He's looking down at his mom and dad.
James: Do you think I'll find a home tommorow dad?
Stark: Of couse you will Stark. The humans were just to busy to notice a cute little puppy like you.
James: But what if no one will want me?
Stark is silent for a moment. He knows that there is a human in Nome that can use a great pup like James. Stark spent more time with James, while Luna spent time with Cherokee. Stark would know what human James would be happy with. Stark knew just what to say to his son.
Stark: Just have some faith.
James: I will dad.
He then crawls into Rosy's arms and falls asleep.
Luna: Good saying, Stark.
Stark: We'll just to see Luna.
They turn a corner. Rosy's dad is at the lead of the group and then Rosy with James in her arms and then Stark and Luna last. Rosy's dad bumps into some one.
Rosy's dad: Carter!
There stands a man. He is the same height a Rosy's dad. Thin, well build, and many markings on his arms that resembles tattos.
Carter: Howard! ( Might as weel give Rosy's dad a name)
Howard: How've you been?
Carter: You know.... giving people tattos.
Howard: Oh yeah opened that shop. Hows that been going.
Carter: Pretty well. What are you up to?
Howard: Finding homes for wolf dogs.
He turns back to Rosy:
Howard: Rosy this is Carter an old friend of mine.
She walks up to him and holds out one of her hands. She uses her other arm to hold James up. Stark and Luna walk up and stand at Rosy's side.
Luna: DO you know this human?
Stark: No. But if he's a friend of Rosy's dad, hes cool with me.
Rosy's shakes Cater's hands. He takes notice of the snow white pup in her arms. When Stark and Luna gave birth, Cherokee got Starks red and white fur while James got his Luna's snow white fur.
Carter: Who this little guy?
Rosy: This is James. He's Stark and Luna's here son.
Carter: Stark...Balto's boy right?
Rosy: You bet. And I have no idea where Luna came from. But where ever it was from, it must have not been good.
Luna sets her head down. She remembers what she went through in her life before Stark. Stark sees this and hates it when Luna is like this. He rubs his nose across her cheek. This makes Luna rub the top of her nose under Stark's chin.
Stark: It's ok. What happent in Teller is done.
Luna: But the pain remains. But... you keep that pain away Stark.
Stark: That's the Luna I know. She shows great kindness to all those around her.
Luna: I love you Stark. I do have faith that James will find a home.
Stark: You better look up.
Luna: Huh?
She looks up and sees James in Carter's arms. James looks like he like him. Howard walk up.
Howard: You seem to like James.
Carter: Well I love wolfs and dogs.
Rosy: That's a wolf dog in your arms there.
Howard: He was the only one that did not find a home today.
Carter: I always wanted to get a dog. But my tattoo business was distracting me.
Rosy: He's for free and he does seem to like you.
Howard: That's not all he likes.
All three humans, including Stark and Luna see James checking out all the tattoos on Carter's arms.
Carter: Looks like he's intrested in tattoos.
Rosy: Your not really gonna give him one are you?
Carter: Well...
The deep growl coming form Luna.
Carter: Whoa.
James: Mom.
Rosy: Luna.
Stark: Easy. He's not gonna gove James a tattoo.
Carter: I am not gonna give and animal a tattoo.
Stark: See.
Luna stops growling.
Carter: However, I do have air brushes that I use for painting.
Howard: Dont even think about it.
Rosy: Dont think Luna would like that.
Carter: Calm down guys! And Luna. I would not give James a tattoo. Unless he wanted one.
Rosy: This a weird comversation.
Howard: So... do you want James?
Carter: Since he's a member of Balto's family, I say hell yeah!
Luna and Stark both bark and nuzzele each other.
Stark: Told you.
Luna: You were right.
Stark: About what?
Luna: I had faith. I saw this human and something told me that James would be perfect for him.
Carter: Man, James looks more wolf than dog.
Rosy: Is that gonna be a problem?
Both Luna and Stark's fur start to rise up.
Carter: Not at all.
Luna: Wheew.
Howard: Then we'll see you and James around?
Carter: I'll let him outside and let him walk around town.
Rosy: These wolf dogs are pretty smart.
Carter: Then I'll see you guys around then.
Rosy: Bye.
Stark and Luna watch as there son is taken home.
Howard: Wow. All of them taken in one day.
Rosy: It's amazing dad.
She turns back to Stark and Luna.
Rosy: Can I take them home, Dad?
Howard: Yeah, sure. I'll see you at home.
They walk there seperate ways. Rosy walks with Stark and Luna through the very wide alley behind Stark house. They walk up to the hole in the fence that leads to Stark's backyard. They stop and Rosy gets down to them. As a thank you for finding there sons homes, Stark and Luna lick Rosy's face. This make her laugh.
Rosy: Ok, Ok. You two should be proud.
Luna places the top of her head under Stark's chin.
Rosy: I mad Jenna proud today. Now that I did this, I'm ready to move on. But Jenna, Balto, Kodi and the rest of you will always have the deepest spot in my heart.
Stark goes up to her and rubs the underside of his chin on Rosy's soulder's. Rosy pats him on the head gets up. Stark and Luna watche her until she leaves the alley. Stark and Luna slowley walk into the back yard.
Rosy walks through town. The sun has set. As she walks home, She looks in the homes of the humans that took the pups. She sees what every human should be doing with a puppy. Playing with it, taking a nap on the couch with it, reading a book with the pup at there side with the human reading out loud. It has started to snow and seeing that the pups have found good homes keep's Rosy's heart warm. She reachs the edge of town where her house is. She get up to her front porch. Before she goes in, a sudden gust of wind passes by her. She turns around and sees nothing. She takes a few steps off the porch and looks around. She doesnt see anything. But then she feels something rubbing against her legs and a voice running through her head. Rosy's is face was confused at first but then she knew what was going on. She goes back on to the poarch and opens her front door. Before going in she turns her head back.
Rosy: Your welcome,...Jenna.
Adoption day is now over. And the real adventures of these pups are about to begin.
