Balto opened his eyes and stared into the sun. He sighed sadly. Jenna's family had been transfered to Fairbanks but she would be back in about 3 months to visit. He promised her a nice day alone while her family visited. Balto couldn't wait. He missed her soo much. He covered his head under the blanket on his boat.
"Balto. V'hat you doing?" Boris walked up. Balto sighed. "Balto. You can't mope around for 3 months v'aiting for Jenna to get here. Get up and do someving." Balto sighed again. "I just miss Jenna." Boris shook his head. "And I miss Stella. But I'm up and about." Balto shook his head. "It's not the same." Boris knew Balto was hopeless. He walked over to a water bucket and grabbed a cloth.
"Balto." He called. He stepped infront of Balto and washed his face. "Boris!" Balto yelped.
"Balto stop. I'm in charge now." Boris said. Balto laughed. "You're in charge?" Just then a noise sounded. It sounded like animals running. "Uncle Boris!" Came two excited childish voices. Balto smiled. "That never gets old." Balto chuckled to himself. "Balto hide me!" Boris screeched. "Sorry Boris. You're in charge now." Balto smirked as he walked off the boat leaving Boris alone for two polar bear cubs searching for attention.
Balto walked around the town of Nome, Alaska. "Balto!" Star screamed. Balto turned to see one of Steele's closest friends, Star walk up to him. "Ya?" Balto wondered. "There's a new girl in town and she's HAWT!!!" Star yelled. He turned and ran back to the direction he came from.
Balto decided to go see this "hott" girl. He followed Star to the hospital. He squeezed into a tight circle around a pure white dog. She had black tips on her ears. Balto stared at her. She looked like his mother, Aniu. Wait a second. Balto thought. She looked totally, exactly, like Aniu. Balto shook his head. He walked over to Doc. "So...." Balto said to Doc. "I am wondering if you would show her Balto. Please. I thought you'd want to. You showed Krystal, Harvey, Tilly, Jock, and Chip around when they were new. So would you please show her around?"
Balto looked at the new girl with interest. "How am I supposed to show her around without knowing her name?" Doc laughed uncomfortably. "Oh yea. Her name's Madeline. But she likes to be called Maddie." Balto sighed. "Fine. But you owe me Doc." Doc nodded and brought Balto over to Maddie. "Maddie this is Balto."

2 months later, Balto and Maddie were really close friends. Balto found himself falling in love with her. He decided to ask her out.
"Maddie?" Balto asked. "Ya?" Maddie came out of her home. "Balto!" She ran over to him. Balto cleared his throat and said, "Maddie? I was wondering if you wanted to go to dinner in the boiler room with me?" Balto finally got the words out.
Maddie didn't say anything for a few minutes. Finally she exclaimed, "Yes!" She felt herself fly towards Balto and they found themselves sharing a kiss.
That night, Balto and Maddie were finishing up their spaghetti, Balto kept looking at MAddie. Maddie finished and lay beside the boiler making small purring sounds. Balto walked over and settled himself ontop of her.
The next day, Balto woke up beside Maddie. The first thing he said was, "I can't wait for our pups to meet our parents their future grandparents." Balto smiled. "The only thing is, is that my mom's dead." Maddie sighed. "Mine too. She was a wolf. Pure at heart." Maddie smiled. "My mom was wolf too." Balto cuddled up next to Maddie. "My mom was called Aniu."
Maddie raised an eyebrow. "So was mine. My dad was called Devron." Balto gasped..........
