Chapter1

Its been almost a month since Hurtitt saw Anna, he spent the time learning how to be a wolf by his father learning to hunt, track, leaded and learning to surve on his own his father was now going to take him where his mother and the pack lived. Hurtitt was lead far into the forest long away from Fiarbank but not that far from Valbez about a day hike from Valbez.

Hurtitt followed his father until they came on a side of a mountain where there was a lot of cave in the area.

"we're here" said Hurtitt's father walking onto a bolder

"Dad there's no one here" Hurtitt said looking around to see if anyone was around.

There was a silence Hurtitt turned around to find his father gone. "Dad!" he yelled but no answer.

Just than a few wolves came out of hiding then a few more until Hurtitt was surrounded by wolves they all had the grey moon shape marking on their forheads, a old white wolf with black tips on her front paws and at the tip of her tail she had a gray moon shape on her forhead like Hurtitt "mother" Hurtitt whispered.

The wolf huged Hurtitt "my son I missed you so much" she said huging her son tightly and tears in her eyes.

Hurtitt felt so happy to finally meeting his mother for first time in so long.

"Hurtitt it is time for you to take your place as leader of the Halfmoon pack" his mother said.

Hurtitt was happy but than Anna came to his mind her smile, soft voice was all he thought about.

His mother saw his face go from happy to sad in secounds. "You don't want to be a leader do you?" she asked.

Hurtitt looked at her "I meet someone that I love and I can't stay away from her" he said disapointed of his answer.

Hurtitt mother smiled "than go to her."

Hurtitt had a big grin on his face "really I can go!' he shouted.

His mother nodded.

Hurtitt huged his mother goodbye and ran to Fairbank before he lift the packs sleeping area he saw his father again "Anna is back in Valbez" Hurtitt father said.

Hurtitt looked back at the pack than started to run to Valbez.

He ran the whole way to excieted to see Anna again and his friends.

Hurtitt came to a whole bunch of bushes he went through them and then he saw Valbez the lights looked so beautiful from the view he had.

Hurtitt saw his old home still the same that it has always been he saw Achak with a mad face on yelling at something from town Hurtitt started running to him not stopping he tackled Achak "Achak im so happy to see you!" he shouted.

Achak was about to yell at Hurtitt when he saw that it was Hurtitt he had a big grin on his face "Hurtitt its really you!"

They both laughed at each other and talked for awhile.

Hurtitt just got finshed laughing at Achak " hey where's Anna I want to see her?"

Achak grin went away "Hurtitt there's something you should know about Anna"

Hurtitt knew what he was going to say and ran off to find Anna.

He ran to Anna's house very happy to see her and he stopped at the corner of the street and saw Anna nuzzling and licking another dog.

Hurtitt was in shock he felt pain, anger and hurt he had tears in her eyes and walked away.  He than stopped the anger was taking over in him he turn around to see the couple again he had fire in his eyes.

Hurtitt took a deep breath and stomped over to Anna.

Anna and the other dog witch was a black and white husky with light bown eyes, were giggling when Anna saw Hurtitt walking over she could see the anger in his eyes and backed up.

Hurtitt stond in front of Anna, the other dog was about to go in front of Anna but Anna stopped "no Cheif I got this" she said stopping him.

"Anna how could you, you...you promised me that you'll wait for me and I promised you that i'll come back its only been a week!" shouted Hurtitt.

Hurtitt I...I meet him when Britney was in the hospital there he was there for me when you were out be a wild animal!" Anna shouted back "besides your a wolf im a dog it well never work out."

Hurtitt heart almost stop he didn't know what to saw he had tear dripping down his face and anger. He wanted to attack her for sawing that but justed walked away.

Anna watched as Hurtitt walked away but she really didn't care and went back to nuzzling Cheif.

Hurtitt opened the door almost braking it Achak jumped from his bed and watched Hurtitt stomp pass hm and went on to the roof.

He got up and walked to the hole in the ceiling he could hear Hurtitt crying. He jumped onto the boxs that leads to the roof and walked very slowly to Hurtitt.

"Hurtitt are you ok?" Achak asked.

Hurtitt had his head down still crying "she...she cheated on me and she doesn't even care."

Achak took a deep breath "I tired to tell you" he said trying not to rub it in.

Hurtitt put his head up and looked at the sunlight "I know you did I should have listen to you, I shouldn't have left the wolf pack or helped Anna at all."

"What you did was right she had no right to do that to you" Achak said putting his paw on Hurtitt back but Hurtitt pulled away "just go away" Hurtitt said looking back at he ground.

Achak walked back into the house and could still hear Hurtitt crying.

The few weeks Hurtitt lay in his bed crying Achak lift him alone and just played with Luk and Russel the whole day.

It was almost dark when Achak, Luk and Russel came into the house and saw Hurtitt still in bed tears dripping down his face.They walked passed him into Achak bed and started talking.

"Hurtitt" a voice said from the door.

Hurtitt knew that voice and lefted his head up it was Anna.

Hurtitt wipped the tears from his face and walked over to Anna.

Anna put her head down and than back at Hurtitt "Hurtitt im sorry that I hurt you but Cheif was there for me when Britney was still in the hospital and keeped me company when you were gone we just feel in love with each other."

Hurtitt was now really hurt "but did he almost give up his life to safe you?"

"Well no but he help me get through the pain of almost losing Britney."

"Did he save you from Spike or that bear, how took you to Britney when she was gone?!" Hurtitt shouted at Anna.

"No but he didn't leave to be in the wild!" Anna shouted back.

"Well you didn't do anything when Spike and the other dogs were picking on me or whenthey almost killed me! And I gave up being the leader of a wolf pack!" 

Anna looked at him with tear in her eyes "well you..." Anna paused she couldn't come up with anything else to say.

"Anna just leave, just go and be with your dog!" Hurtitt said turning his back to her.

Anna stormed off out of Hurtitts house and back to town, but you could hear her crying.

Hurtitt walked to his bed and cryed, Achak and the two white fox brothers just sat in the bed.

Then Hurtitt calmed down and got off the bed and walked over to Achak's bed "Achak I can't stay here anymore I can't take seeing Anna with that dog I going back to the wolf pack."

Achak nodded his head "I understand, I hope you get there safe."

Hurtitt walked up to him and huged him good bye "bye i'll miss you." He walked out of the house and took one last look at his old home before leaving.

Chapter 2

Anna stormed home "who does he think he is saying that to me" she mumbled.

"Anna" a voice said in a alley way.

Anna turned around to see her father AL walking out of the alley.

"Anna I heard the fight with you and Hurtitt" he said lowering his head.

"Oh were we that loud" she said.

"Yeah I saw you going to his house I wanted to talk to you about something before you talked to him. You should be so mean to him he did a lot for you" AL said looking sad.

"Why?" Anna asked tilting her head.

"Cause I saw what he did when Spike attack you in the forest. Anna he saved you when Spike hurt you I was going to do something about it but when I saw Hurtitt attack Spike I knew that I made a mistake judging him the way I did." AL said putting his head lower.

"But daddy he lift when I really needed him" Anna said with a tone.

"But he helped you more than Cheif did he is a dog that only cares about his reputation not about you he popular in Fairbank when he saw you all the dogs said that you were the most beautiful dog they ever sene Cheif wanted you to be more popular with the most prettiest dog."

"How do you know that?" Anna asked with anger in her voice.

"Cause I heard him talking to his brother Buck" Al said. "There's something else your part wolf" he paused " your mother and even me are part wolf we were just lucky like you to look wolf."

"But how?....I don't believe you!" Anna shouted at her fatrher and ran off.

Anna ran the whole way to her house Cheif was in front of her house "Cheif!" shouted running into his chest.

"Anna whats wrong?" Cheif asked.

"My dad just told me im part wolf and that you just useing me cause your so popular here and in Fiarbank" she shouted.

"What your part wolf I can't be going out with a wolf that would ruin my popularity" Cheif said backing away from her.

Anna was shocked when Cheif backed away from her "my dad was right about you...you just used me" Anna looked at the ground "I gave up Hurtitt for you what was I thinking" and Anna took off back to Hurtitt's house.

Anna reach Hurtitt house the door was open she walked inside "Hurtitt" she said looking around the room but no answer "Hurtitt" she again but louder but still no answer. Anna was about to leave when Achak pop his head in from the hole on the ceiling "what?" he paused and look at Anna with a mean face "oh its you" he said rudly. Folded her ears back and away from Achak "where's Hurtitt?" Achak jumped down from the hole and walked to his bed "he's gone he was so broken hearted he just lift to be in the wolf pack" he said shacking his head. "What! but I wanted to talk to him about before." "Anna what you said and did to him was hurtful!" Achak shouted. "I know I have to talk to him" Anna paused and outside "I have to go find him" and ran outside. "What no!" Achak said running in front of Anna "I can't let you go."

"But why?" Anna asked.

"Cause he doesn't want anything to do with you!" Achak shouted.

"Achak please I need to talk to him, where did he go?" Anna asked.

Achak looked at her and walked away "he said the pack lives north about a mile hike from here."

"Thank you!" Anna said with a happy voice and ran out the door.

"What Anna you can't go now" Achak said walking in front of Anna again.

"But why?" Anna asked.

"Even though I shouldn't care what happens to you its almost dark its not safe for a dog to go out there so late just stay here for the night." Achak said walking back to his bed.

Anna walked farth into the room looking at Achak "you can sleep in Hurtitt's bed."

Anna jumped onto Hurtitt's bed she lay inside Hurtitt's balanket she could smell Hurtitt's sent on it. She lay her head down tears in her eyes she thought about him and cryed herself to sleep.  

Meanwhile

Hurtitt ran the whole way home still feeling confused to go back or keep going. He was about a few miles away from where he meet the pack.

The moonlight shune in little areas from the trees blocking it. The air was getting warmer, the snow was softer making Hurtitt paws wet, Hurtitt sniffed from crying again all he could do was think of Anna no matter how hard he tired he couldn't stop loving her or thinking of her. He walked with his head down then a brizz came "Hurtitt" a voice called. Hurtitt turned to the right his father was on a bolder looking at him "Hurtitt whats wrong?" he asked.

Hurtitt walked over to his father his head still down "Anna cheated on me."

His father nodded his head "I see well you can still join the pack and forget about her."

Hurtitt looked at him "I know thats where im going right now."

"Well the pack is still where you meet them" he said looking near the mountains "Oh the caribou moved north at the end of our territory you need to lead the pack there."

Hurtitt nodded and started walking towards the mountains.

"Hurtitt" his father called.

Hurtitt turned around looking at his father "it'll be ok" and vanished.

Hurtitt stared up at the sky for awhile before walking again.

Chapter 3

Anna woke early the next morning and started her journey to find Hurtitt.Anna was almost out of town when Cheif was calling for her.

"Anna!" he called for her "hey Anna maybe we don't have to tell the dogs that your part wolf than we can still go out." he said with a smile.

"Cheif I don't want you anymore all you care about is you and your popularity" she shouted at him.

"Well hun I think your the same you were so mean to that wolf after he loved you maybe you should think about it" he said with a big grin on his face and walked off.

Anna started walking again she was thinking about what Cheif was saying  he's right I dumped Hurtitt for a dog that popular.

Hurtitt had just reach where he might his mother and the halfmoon pack he howled to call the pack out of the caves.

His mother was the first one out really happy to see her son come back.

"Hurtitt what is it?" she asked.

Hurtitt smiled "mother I ready to become a leader."

His mother was so happy the hear that.

That night they had a ceremony for there new leader Hurtitt stood on a big bolder looking down at his pack howling to announce that he was the leader than all the wolves joined in howling into the night sky.

Anna keeped falling into the snow her fur was all wet the night wind made it really cold for her. It started to snow with the wind blowing it was hard to see where she was going. Anna fell into a big hole in the snow, she climbed out and layed on the snow thing just to give up. Anna heard something coming, Anna put her head up in front of her was a black wolf it was Hurtitt's father.

"What are you doing here dog" he snarled

Anna jumped up "im...im looking for someone."

Hurtitt's father looked at Anna "your Anna aren't you?"

Anna tilted her head "how do you know my name?"

"Don't worry about that. What are you doing out here?"

Anna looked at the ground "Im looking for a wolf named Hurtitt I made a mistake and I want to find him to tell him how much I love him, miss him and how I would fight a bear to get him back even live my home to be with him."

Hurtitt father smiled "your really love him don't you"

Anna nodded her head, the wind blow harder and Anna shuck.

"Its cold tonight, come there's a place I know you can stay" Hurtitt father said walking away "oh by the way my name is Wayra."

Anna followed him to a cave, he stoped in front of the cave "you'll be safe in there."

Anna walked in and looked around the cave and smiled  she turned around"oh thank you." But Wayra was gone, Anna went in the middle between the end and the front of the cave and fell asleep.

Hurtitt lead the clan through the woods the wind and snow was worse the wind blow so hard when snow hit his face it felt like a needle stabbing him the wind made it ten times colder it felt like it was below freezing.

He knew the pack can't stay in the storm anymore but keeped making them go until he could find shelter for them.

Hurtitt could see that well the snow hit his eyes making him close them but everytime he open them more snow hit his eyes.

Just up on a rocky area Hurtitt saw it and lead the pack towards the cave it took longer the pack had to walk slow from all the wind hitting them.

He sayed by the enters to make sure everyone made it inside is mother was last she smiled and nuzzled him.

"How am I doing?" he asked

"Your doing fine for your first time at being a leader" she said smiling at him.

A black wolf with tawny colored tips on his paws and and down his back walked up to him "your doing great."

Hurtitt chukled a little "yeah right."

"No im serious not that many leader can get a pack through a storm like that" he said patting his back "oh by the way my name is Dakota" and walked away.

Hurtitt looked down at he ground and smile than looked out into the storm.

He walked where the pack was settling down layed down and fell alseep.

Chapter 4

 Anna woke up the next morning the sun shune through the cave enters the storm had passed it was now a beautiful day.

Anna walked out of the cave and looked around where am I? she said to herself.

"Your still in the same deriction as you were going last night" a voice said behind her.

She turn around and say it was Spike and a 6 dogs behind him.

Anna gasped when she saw him and started backing up.

"Hello Anna did you miss me?" he said smiling at her.

"What are you doing here Spike?" snapped Anna.

"I was following you so that you can lead me to that wolf of yours" he snapped back.

"Well I won't let you" Anna said getting ready to attack him.

Spike chuckled "Anna I don't want to hurt but you and that wolf missed up my life."

Anna looked at him confused.

He smiled "after that wolf attacked me, I went back to Vablez where your father ran into me he said that he saw what I did to you and Hurtitt he ordered me to live town. I lost everything cause of you and that wolf!" he shouted jumping onto Anna baring his teeth at her.

Anna tired to get him off but Spike was to strong, she knew that she was going to die she closed her eyes ready for Spike to kill her.

But she heard other dog growling and tahn Spike was not on her Anna opened her eyes and got up Spike was pined down by a wolf. Wolves sarrowed her and Spike and his gang. Spike pushed the wolf off him "get out!" the wolf growled. Spike and his gang ran away. 

Anna was happy the wolf that was on Spike looked like Hurtitt.

"Hurtitt!" she yelled.

The wolf turned around and had black markings on his face but the same moon mark on his face.

Anna smile went away "your not Hurtitt."

"No and your trespassing our territory!" he snapped

Anna folded her ear and backed away "I...im looking for a wolf named Hurtitt have you seen him?

The wolf looked at her " you know Hurtitt?"

Anna nodded "yes! do you know him?" 

"Of course his our leader, what do you want with him?" the wolf asked.

"I need to talk to him about something" Anna said

"Well I can take you to him"

Anna nodded with a big smile on her face "oh yes please."

The wolf chuckled alittle "alright follow me.Oh my name is Little paw."

Anna followed the other wolves, Little paw was whispering to other wolf that was white and gray. They stop talking and the white and gray wolf nodded than ran away off. Anna didn't say anything just keeped walking.

Chapter 5

It was sundown and they were near a mountain edge by the ocean.

"Wait here" said Little paw.

Anna sat down and watch the other wolves leave over the rocks.

Anna looked around wolves started to come out of hiding from the cliffs around her. They all have the same mark as Hurtitt she thought they must be his family.

Little paw and Hurtitt's mother than Hurtitt in the middle of them.

Anna was so happy to see him she started running to him but two wolves stoped her.

Anna backed up and look at Hurtitt who had a mad face on "Anna what are you doing here? Why aren't you with that Cheif guy?"

"I...I wanted to see you and Cheif just a big jerk." she said starting to get tears in her eyes.

"Well good you deserved that" Hurtitt said rudly and was walking away.

"Hurtitt wait" Anna said trying to get to him, but was still being blocked by the two wolves. 

  Hurtitt turned around waiting for her to talk.

"Hurtitt im sorry about what I said and did to you."

Hurtitt walked next to her letting the two wolves go "Anna what you said broke my heart I can't forgive you for that. I gave up a lot of things for you I almost gave up my life for you and." he paused trying to push back tears "my heart"

Anna started to cry too "Hurtitt I know and im sorry I don't know what came over me. I mostly did it cause your a wolf and im a dog and how can it work, you have a family here and I have a family in Valbez." She paused pullling back tear "but I don't care we can figure something out would give up my home in Valbez and stay with you cause Hurtitt im part wolf my father told me a few days ago."

"I don't care that your part wolf you have a family that you should go back to cause I son't want nothing to so with you anymore just go home cause I finished with you I have a pack to lead" Hurtitt said walking away.

Anna now cryed harder falling to the ground.

All the wolves stared at Hurtitt but Hurtitt just ignored Anna and walked up to Little paw "take her out of our territory."

Little paw nodded and walked toward Anna and helped her up.

Hurtitt watched until Anna and Little paw were out of sit and started to cry.

Hurtitt's mother walked next to him "Hurtitt why are you crying?"

Hurtitt wipped the tears off his muzzle "I still love her" he whispered.

Just than there was a long howl coming from the direction Anna and Little paw were.

Hurtitt, Dakota and the white and gray wolf ran towards the howls.

Hurtitt ran faster than any of the other wolves. He than say Little paw getting torn to shreds and Anna trying to crawling away from Spike. The two wolves helped out Little paw

Anna was stoped from a tree behind her Spike put his left paw on her shoulder. Anna closed her eyes waiting for Spike to hit her, but nothing there was no more pressure on her shoulder. She opened her eyes and saw Hurtitt standing on top of Spike "don't you dare hurt her!" he shouted now even mader than the last time Spike hurt Anna.

Hurtitt stood on top of Spike his teeth were shone completly. Hurtitt bet into Spike next, Spike gasping for breath trying to pull Hurtitt off him. Hurtitt now did not care about him being wolf he was so tired of Spike. The blood was in his mouth to him it tasted so good knowing it was Spike's a dog he wanted revange on for a long time. Spike stoped moving but Hurtitt didn't let go, but than someone pulled him off Spike throwing him hard onto the ground. Than two dogs were standing on him the anothers holding Anna, Dakota, Little paw and the white and gray wolf back.

The two dog started bitting him, Hurtitt bet one the of the dogs paws but nothing the dogs still bitting him. Than one bet into his neck Hurtitt was now gasping for breath the another held him down so that he doesn't push the other dog off.

Hurtitt started to get unconscious before passing out he heard a howl than he closed his eyes.

 Anna watched as the dogs were attacking Hurtitt but she couldn't do anything.

Just than a howl came over a hill and than half of the pack came jumping at the dogs making them retreat and leaving Spike's body behind.

Hurtitt's mother helped Anna up "you ok?"

Anna nodded and ran where Hurtitt's body was laying not moving.

Anna ran to his side shacking him up "wake up!" she shouted and dug her head into his shoulder crying "please wake up" she whispered.

Hurtitt's mother walked over to Anna, Anna looked up at her "is he going to be ok?" Anna asked.

Hurtitt's mother put her paw on Hurtitt muzzle "I think his breathing, but his lost a lot of blood."

Anna stooded up "what should we do?"

"Nothing" a voice said behind them

Both Anna and Hurtitt's mother turned around "Wayra" Hurtitt's mother said. "But he needs help!" Anna shouted.

"No Hurtitt can do it on his own" Wayra said walking next hsi son. "Come on son wake up!" he demanded.

Anna had tears dripping down her muzzle praying that Hurtitt would wake up.

Anna was about to give u when she heard Hurtitt start coughing and ran to his side.

Hurtitt lefted his head smiling at Anna "I heard you crying" he whispered.

Anna smiled back.

Hurtitt's mother and father walked next to him as well they all smiled to know that he was ok and helped him home.

Chapter 6

Hurtitt layed in the cave bored as ever he couldn't do anything his body ache from the cutes he had.

Anna walked into the cave and saw Hurtitt laying down staring at the wall.

She walked to him Hurtitt lefted his head when he heard Anna "hi" she said softly.

"Hi" Hurtitt said.

Anna stooded close to Hurtitt setting down waiting for one of them to talk.

Hurtitt moved him head letting Anna lay right next to him.

Anna layed down "Hurtitt im really am sorry."

Hurtitt shock his head "I know but I don't know if I could love you again."

"Hurtitt I proimse you i'll never hurt you again I would do anything to take back what i said." Anna begged.

"Anna you broke my heart I don't know if I can." he paused taking a deep breath "maybe we should just be friends."

Anna put her paw on Hurtitt's paw "Hurtitt please give me a chance." Hurtitt pulled his paw away from her's "maybe its best if you go back home right now"

Anna was shock she justed stared at him tears came to her eyes than she nodded and walked outside.

Hurtitt folded his ears back and out his head sown tears rolled down his muzzle.

Just than Wayra appeared in front of Hurtitt "whats wrong son?"

Hurtitt wipped the tears from his eyes and looked at his father "I just let Anna go again."

"Why so you still care?"

"Cause I love her, but I can't be with her she cheated on me she broke my heart" Hurtitt said putting his head back down.

"Son she came looking for you, she sayed by your side when she thought you were dead" Wayra said putting his paw on his son's shoulder. "She loves you too why won't you give her another chance?"

Hurtitt looked at the wall "She does still love me."

Hurtitt jumped onto his feet and limped out of the cave and follow Anna sent.

Anna was still crying her head down not really caring where she was going she felt like just dieing she had no other reason to live her human has other friends to play with she hardly ever played with her anymore.

Anna heard a howl and saw Hurtitt limped to her.

Anna started jumping up and down and ran to Hurtitt.

Hurtitt no longer cared about his cuts and ran to Anna happy about huging Anna again se ran faster.

They might and nuzzled each other both had a big grin on their faces.

Anna look at Hurtitt "what are you doing? you should be resting."

"I wanted to tell you that I love you and that I never want to leave you again, I want to spend every minute of my life with you and I don't care where we live as long as i'm with you" Hurtitt said smiling nuzzling Anna agian.

Anna was now crying with join "I want to be with you and your pack." she whispered in his ear.

Hurtitt and Anna nuzzled one more time before walking back to the pack together.
