For the respect of Balto and Jenna, they buried of a tall hill that over looks the town of Nome. Very few have gone up there to visit the graves. Some were humans saying thanks to Balto for saving the town. But the ones who visit the most are Balto and Jenna's pups. Much has happend since there deaths. Stark, Sara, and Dingo have all found mates. Stark fell in love with a loney husky named Luna. Who believed that she was nothing. But Stark saw her beauty and made sure that she would never feel that way again. Sara fell in love with an adventure seeking husky named Jim. Jim was born in Texas and left home to find an adventure and he found himself in Nome. Before he left home, was given his grandfather's militay dog tags.
And Dingo fell in love with a stray husky named Mila. She was being hunted by a dog gang. But Dingo saved her. Jim, Sara and Mila have grown have become close like a family. Kodi and Dusty have enjoyed there lives with there family and friends. The only one that has not found a mate yet is Hunter. Is there a girl out there for him? He has thought about it and is hopeing that someone will come along. But nothing. Until now...
Seattle, Washington
A few months after Balto's pups were born
It's a cold, dark night. The moon and the stars are coverd by dark clouds. The rain is pouring down. And here and there, loud thunder echos throughout the city. In dark alley, not to far from where the famous Space Needle will be located, a sudden cry of pain is herd. This is the cry of a stray husky dog giving birth. After a while the pain stops. But at the cost of makeing the pain stop is the death of the mother husky. A liitle light blue and cream while undersided puff ball lay next to the body of her lifeless mom. Here eyes are barley open, she crawls across the alley and into a box. She falls asleep.
One year later...
Man: Get back here you thief!!!
The same husky dashs through the streets with a large piece of meat in her mouth. The man sees her dash down an alley and he turns into it. He doesent see her and slowly walks down the alley.
Man: I know your here.
He hears a clattering sound behind him and turns around. He sees the female husky bolt right at him. He duck and she jumps over him. He runs after to the peir and loses her. He looks around.
Man: Where are you. I wont let you get away this time.
Just then he hears another sound from behind. He turns around laughing.
Man: Got ya!!
But it's not the husky he sees. It's large dumpster rolling right at him.
Man: Son of a bitch!!
He tries to run for it but the edge of the dock is right behind him. He jumps into the water. The dumpster stops rolling and the husky comes up and looks at the man.
Man: You win this time!!! When I get you, regret ever stealing from me!! You hear that bitch!!?
The husky looks at him like she didnt care. She turns around and walks away.
Husky: My name is not bitch. It's Willow.
Willow walks down to another part of the peir. She happily eat the food she stole and looks at the water. She sees a ship pulling.
Willow: A travel ship? I wonder whos on it.
She drops her food and gets closer to it. Willow then hides behind some barrels and waits to see what comes off. After a while a young girl with three husky looking dogs come off. Behind her is a man probalby her dad. With him are four more husky dogs. All of them are red and white. But two of are different looking. One is a older looking guy with gray and light gray fur. The other is a girl and she has lighter gray fur.
Willow: Are those wolves?
She sees the dogs looking in her direction and she creeps behind the barrels. She looks back and sees that they are looking at Seattle. After a few moments the dogs are lead to some cars. Willows sees the last dog looking around, before he jumps into the car.
Willow: He's cute.
She tries to get closer but the cares drive off.
Willow: Damn. I wont ever forget that face.
Three to four years later...
Willow is in the cargo hold of a ship sleeping. The boat's horn wakes her up.
Willow: Man!! I can never get enough sleep on this place.
She sneaks up to the deck of the ship, unnoticed. She looks out to the sea.
Flashback: Three mounths ago
Boy: Extra, Extra read all about it!!! Balto the hero of Nome dies. He and his mate are buried on a hill that over looks the town!!! Read all about it!!
A small gust of wind passes by and many of the paper's pages fly out of the boy's hand and fly into an alley. Willow doesnt see the newspaper come at her face.
Willow: Hey!
She shakes it off and has a look at it.
Willow: Balto dies? Who's that?
She turns the page over and sees a picture of Balto at the top of the page.
Willow: Wait a minute!!
She remembers Balto from that day on the peir.
Willow: What's so important about him?
She reads the article.
Artice: Balto, the dog who saved Nome dies of old age. On the same night, his mate for life, a husky named Jenna died of old age as well. The once hated wolf dog, Balto became a national hero after delivering a shipment of anti-toxin to the very sick children in 1925. The town of Nome thought it would be best to bury the hero and his mate on a tall hill that over looks Nome. However, they left this world with five pups to carry on and hopfully expand the wolf-dog race. Bellow is a picture of the pups that Balto and Jenna have brought into this world.
WIllow looks down at the picture of the pups and her yes get wide when she sees a picture of Hunter.
Willow: Thats him!!
SHe remembers seeing him on that day of the peir.
Willow: I've got to meet him. He had a looking in his eyes when I saw at the peir. He was looking at the sky. But there was something else about him. That made feel happy. I think I love him.
Flashback ends
Willow waited on the docks for three months to wait for a boat that would get her to Nome. And now she is on one. Willow is looking out at the sea and sees some large iceburgs.
Willow: Looks like were getting close.
She hears some footsteps coming and dashs back into the cargo area. A few hours later, the boat docks in Nome and Willow sneaks off the boat. Gets off the dock and sees children laighing and playing with there dogs.
Willow: Friendly place.
She walks down an alley that leads up to the most busy street of town. As she gets closer to end of the alley, she slips on some ice and slides forward. Her nose touches another dog's nose, much to her suprise, this stops her from landing on the ground. Willow gsps and takes a step back. The dog right in front of her is the one she came here looking for.
Nome: About 15 minutes earlier...
Hunter wakes up and streaches out. He goes out into the living room of his house and takes a few sips of water from his dog dish. He then slips through the dog door and sees Kodi, Dusty and Stark walk by. He jumps down from his front poarch and catches up to them.
Hunter: Hey guys! What up?
Kodi: Moring Hunter.
Dusty: haven seen you in a while.
Stark: Where have you been?
Hunter: Around. How's Luna dong, Stark?
Stark: She's doing great! She's loving her new home with me.
Hunter: And Dingo and Sara?
Kodi: Dingo and Mila are never apart. And Jim has been moslty seen with Sara while shes at work. It doesnt bother her. He just stays there and... hell sometime they are see reading together.
Stark: You know Hunter, your the only one of us that doesent have a mate.
Hunter: I know. I'm just waiting for the right girl. But I dont think she could be in this town.
Dusty: You think she's gonna come from somewhere else other than Nome?
Hunter: Well Jim's from the south, Luna's from another town a little north of here and Mila is from the other side of the state. Who knows, life is full of suprises.
Just then, they pass by an alley and hear a small yell. Hunter turns his head and sees a light blue and white husky right in front of him. And there noses are touching. The girl takes a step back and gasps.
Hunter: I'm sorry, was I in your way?
Willow: Uh...no. I...just.
She turned around and dashed into the alley behind. Hunter had a confused look on his face.
Stark: Who was that?
Kodi: Never seen her. Dusty?
Dusty: No.
She sees Hunter still glanceing down the alley.
Stark: Hunter?
Kodi: You ok, brother?
Hunter: Did you that look in eyes?
Dusty: Not really, it was kind of hard to see her.
Hunter: Never mind. But she was beautiful. I wonder what her name is.
Stark: Kind of late to ask now right?
Hunter: Yeah I guess so. If I see her again, I'll ask her.
They walk away from the alley. Willow watchs them leave from behind a large stack of logs.
Willow: Stupid! I can't believe that just happend. Speaking of that, why the hell did I even come here!!? What am I supposed to even say to him? "Hi, I saw at the peir in Seattle and I saw you in a newspaper artice and thought you were cute?"
She walks down the alley and watchs Hunter walk away from down the street.
Willow: Maybe I'm just waisting my time. He's the son of a hero. How can he like a stray from Seattle? Besides, he would think I'm a freak for coming all this way just to meet him.
Voice: No he would not.
Willow bolts around and sees a red and white husky standing in front of her.
Willow: And you are?
Husky: Call me... Jenna. And that's my son that you like.
Willow: Wait! Your Balto's mate? Your dead. How can I see you here in the flesh.
Jenna: Well... lets just say that there those who die but still have some tasks to complete on this earth. And for me... one of those is to make sure you fall in love with my son.
Willow: Whoa, whoa! Time out! You want me to fall in love with him? Why? You dont even know me.
Jenna: Your name is Willow. Your mother died giving birth to you in Seattle, Wahington, you are a very cunning and strong street dog. You have a crush on my son Hunter and wish to meet him.
Willow: Are you a stalker?
Jenna chuckels.
Jenna: No. I just sence a connection between you and Hunter.
Willow: What kind?
Jenna: You both are looking for someone to spend the rest of your life with.
Willow: Yeah I am. Ok then. So how can you help me?
Jenna: I just did.
Willow: What?
Jenna: I told you that Hunter is looking for a mate. And you want to meet him. He's been very loney after Balto and I died. He needs someone to take all that loneliness and turn it into happiness. So is that enough for you to meet him?
Willow: Yeah. That should do it.
Jenna turns around and walks away. Some fog circles around her and Jenna fades into the wind.
Willow: What was that?
Later that night in the boiler roon, Hunter is laying down on the shelves. With him is Jim, Stark and Dingo.
Jim: Ok, heres one Stark. If you had the chance to scare the living hell out of Mel. Would you do it?
Stark: Yes.
Jim and Dingo laughs and Stark looks over to Hunter.
Stark: Would you do it Hunter?
Hunter: What?
Dingo: Whats wrong? cat got your toung?
Stark: Are you still thinking about that girl that you touched noses with by accident earlier?
Jim: What?
Hunter: Yeah, I am.
Dingo: Who was she?
Hunter: Not sure. Not from Nome I can tell that much.
Stark: You said something about a look in her eyes?
Hunter: If you look at them right, they are sparkeling like the stars at night. I got to meet her again.
Jim: Then go look for her.
Hunter: I dont even know her name.
Voice: Willow.
All the guys turn there heads at the entrance and see Willow standing in the door.
Willow: My name's Willow.
Hunter gets up and walks toward her.
Hunter: Wow. Your... beautiful.
Willow: I was hopeing to meet you.
Hunter: Well here I am. One sec. Guys, mind if I...
Dingo: Dont need to say it were out of here.
Jim, Stark and Dingo leave. Hunter and Willow sit down in front of the furnace.
Hunter: So...
Willow: So...
Hunter: Where are you from?
Willow: Seattle.
Hunter: Long way from here.
Willow: Well I came up here to find a better.
Hunter: Well you came to the right place for dogs.
After a few minutes of scilence, Hunter looks back to her.
Hunter: I dont know what it is but I feel that we have a strong connection.
Willow: I had that feeling ever since...
Hunter: Since what?
Willow: A few years ago I saw a travel ship come in to Seattle. I watched some dogs get off the boat. They all looked alike. But two that looked alot more wolf than dog. And I saw them get into a car. The last dog that got in caught my eye. It was the most wonderful moment of my life. And I didnt even know who it was. I never forgot that face.
Hunter: That was me and my family. We were going to New York for a...
Willow: I know the whole story. But the wolf dog that caught my eyes... It was you.
Hunter gives this a moments and moves his eyeballs around.
Hunter: I did feel something was watching me.
Willow: That was me. I wanted to come up to you but you got in the car.
Hunter: SO how did you find out where I lived?
Willow: I found a newspaper article about your parents deaths. And there was a picture of you in it. I reconized you and just wanted to meet you. And right now... I'm glad I did.
Hunter: If you came this far to meet me, how can I not meet you? Mind if I show you something?
Willow: Sure.
Hunter: Follow me.
They walk towards town. Watching over them from the rooftops is Stark, Sara, Kodi and Mila.
Sara: She is pretty.
Mila: Could she be the one for Hunter?
Kodi: Where are they going?
Stark: I have a good feeling.
Hunter leads Willow under the hospital.
Willow: It's dark and glommy dowm here.
Hunter: Are you kidding? It's the most beautiful spot in the world. Very few come down here. But they have a good reason.
Willow: Beautiful? I cant see why.
Hunter: That's cause your looking at the bowl half empty.
They walk into a open area and Hunter pushes some broken bottels forward.
Hunter: See this? The polar ice caps.
Willow: Uh, Hunter those are broken bottles.
Hunter looks into the light.
Hunter: Sun...
Willow: Hunter...
Hunter: And to the north...
He takes a step forward and the northern lights are revealed.
Willow: The northern lights!! Oh my god, Hunter your right. It's beautiful.
Hunter: Yeah... beautiful
Willow looks over to Hunter.
Hunter: After my mom and dad died, a huge part of me died along with it. I've been looking for someone to take that place. Willow...will you fill that part back with in me with life?
Willow took some deep breaths and looked at the northern lights for about a minute before looking back to Hunter.
Willow: Yes.
She moves her head towards Hunter's and they passonitly kiss. The lights of the hospital turn off for the night. But some night lights give Hunter and Willow some light. They kiss and nuzzele each other. And outside the moon is shining bright. The sun rises over the hills. As it does Hunter and Willow are walking up the hills.
Willow: Whare are you taking me?
Hunter: Sort of a family tadition.
They arrive at the top of a hill and stop in front of Balto and Jenna's graves.
Willow: Is this...
Hunter: Yes. Listen to what I have to say.
Willow: Yeah sure.
Hunter looks at the graves.
Hunter: Mom, Dad., its been a while. I came up here cause I wanted to tell you something I've only told one other. When you two died, a huge part of me died along with you. I thought that I would never fill that back up. But... I found someone. She's very important to me. And well I'd like you to meet her. And then I want to show all something. Mom, Dad, this is Willow.
He takes a few steps back and Willow comes forward.
Willow: Uh, hi. Jenna, you were right, we have a connection.
Hunter: What?
Willow: Nothing. I love your son. And I hope that you can accept me into you family.
Hunter comes up.
Hunter: And dad? I rememberd when you told me about your flying adventure. I wish I could have been there. But I was out of town then. But after I got back and you told me about it, I wanted to fly to. But the pilot left Nome by then. But after you told me about it I thought up this song that took me a while to complete. So this is for you dad...

Hunter and Willow walk back to Nome. Ready to start a life together.
Three months later.....
Hunter, Stark, Kodi, Jim and Dingo are climbing the hills that lead to the graves of Balto and Jenna.
Jim: So why do you think the girls called us all up here?
Stark: It better be good. I'm tired as hell.
Dingo: Your always tired dumbass.
They sit down not to far behind the graves.
Kodi: I wonder where they are?
They hear a twig snap and Hunter gets up and looks in front of him and sees nothing but darkness.
Hunter: Whos there?
Out of the darkness appears the girls.
Willow: Dont worry.
Mila: It's just us.
Luna: We wanted to talk to you guys.
The girls stand in front of the graves.
Sara: We wanted to wait until morning to tell you this but we couldny wait.
Dusty: Beside what would be a better place to tell you.
Stark: Tell us what?
There is a long moment of scilence.
The girls:...were pregnent.
Hunter: What!!!?
Kodi: Eh.
Jim faints
Stark: Hmm!?
Dingo: Were gonna be...fathers?
Mila: Yes.
Jim gets back up and the guys looks at each other.
Kodi: That's wonderful.
Dingo: Our own family. Your hear that mom, dad?
Dusty: What better place to tell you?
Jim: Your right about that.
They all stand in front of Balto and Jenna's graves and howl.
The girls are pregnent. The guys are gonna be dads. What adventures will the future hold?
